My experience with Airbnb Luxe was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into my luxurious villa, I was greeted with unparalleled comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design, was thoughtfully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. The amenities, from private pools to personal chefs, exceeded my expectations and made me feel like royalty. Moreover, the concierge service was exceptional, catering to my every need and ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. Airbnb Luxe has redefined luxury travel for me, and I can't wait to indulge in another unforgettable experience.
Airbnb has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No support when things go wrong. I didn't feel safe at a place I rented and check in or stay there. They will not refund the full amount. Was promised a $300 refund, then only give $200. The reservation costed $423. I will never book through them again! This has been a nightmare!
I am extremely disgusted with the service given by airbnb. In the process of booking a villa in VT a fee was taken from my account when the stay was denied by the host. This didn't happen one time but twice due to the Gateway agency. While emailing with the agency I was lead to believe the villa was available and that the request didn't go through. Therefore, I processed it again and was denied again. If a stay is denied funds shouldn't be taken out of a person's account. Now today, I am told it will take 14 days to receive my refund. Take my advice and avoid this site; it's more work than help!
Horrible experience trying to get a refund after it was promised and clearly qualified for extenuating circumstances policy during Covid19 in the epicenter of the pandemic (Seattle) at the time. Nothing left to do but dispute charges with credit card company. Good luck to anyone else in the same situation. I hope they don't try to charge the lost money to the hosts because they did not make or have any say over the policy change which promised full refunds to thousands of people which didn't materialize. Please do not take their answer to fight it out with the host. They're in a tough situation, too, not being able to get any bookings/income during this difficult time.
I bought a plane ticket and room in Martha's Vineyard, but 2 days before the trip as I'm getting ready for work I find out... airbnb abruptly canceled my reservation and asked me to verify my ID! I verified my ID with passport, but then my account was closed.
I didn't know what to do, because all the hotels were booked. They never gave me an explanation, but luckily my gf was able to find another bed and breakfast.
If they had called me ahead of time or given me an explanation, I wouldn't mind so much. I guess this is the way airbnb does business.
I listed a cabin on this site. Was blocked after someone contacted me about renting, never had a chance to reply to the persons inquiry before being blocked. Called customer service for 3 days and all I received was people you couldn't understand and the promise someone would contact me. Don't waste your time listing on this site!
Our son was getting married, we were so swamped with details. Got there and just happened to notice the sheets didn't look fresh. Pulled back the covers and there were various types of hairs on the sheets, eyelash hairs etc. Contacted Zach by text. He wouldn't ever give out his phone number. He said his mother cleans and he was sure they were clean. Then let us know there were more sheets in the dryer. They smelled so dirty without putting them up to our noses. In the midst of EVERYTHING else to do, we had to stop and buy sheets to put on the bed. Airbnb refunded our cleaning fees but that's all. The moldy smell hits you as you walk in the house. The mustiness never left. Zach was very defensive so we didn't contact him again. DON'T STAY IN ZACH'S PLACE!
Actually the way that Airbnb treated us we won't use their services again. If we had been in a hotel, we could have just asked for a different room or at least for clean sheets. UGH!
So dishonest. Booked an airbnb host site says free 30 day cancelation. Get what I thought was just a receipt, which actually changes cancelation policy to 48 hours. I didn't realize the bait and switch. And now I am being charged 50% cancelation fee plus administration fee to cancel within the 30 days I originally thought I was agreeing to. No help from AIRBNB or host. What a scam. Never again.
They have horrible customer service. If you choose to connect with customer service, you will be screwed! Do not use them, use other apps. Spent 6 hours with these people and nothing has been resolved. It's as simple as changing a name on a reservation. DO NOT USE THEM!
Terrible experience with Airbnb; never even think about trying it out (if you havn't done it yet)! Booked an apartment in Dubai in hurry, the owner never replied, called the Airbnb if it is ok to cancel it, she was more than happy to help me cancelling it... the dreading news was when I checked my credit card, they charged USD 6,150 for a cancelled booking meaning it will take me 3 weeks, after a hell alot of hassle to get my money back. The trouble was; it happened to me twice... they are good at swallowing your money...
I booked an appartment in LA. It was cancelled 1 month before the travelling date. I booked another room (more expensive, of course, nothing 'cheap' was left!). It was cancelled less than 1 week before the travel!
This shows that airbnb does not carefully checks their hosts. Airbnb has a nice webpage, cashes in on quite a nice fee, withdraws the money right away from your credit card... and then delivers nothing but cancellations!
I think it is telling that airbnb does not give me (or anyone else) the opportunity to comment on hosts who have cancelled reservations... in other words, there is no way for me to check whether a potential new host is 'reliable' or also prone to short-term cancellations.
STAY AWAY! There are other platforms that are MUCH more reliable!
I am a host and have over 200 properties listed. When a guest has an issue Airbnb have been refunding guests without my approval leaving is out of pocket by thousands of dollars this has happened over and over. They are always seeking the guests side and not owners. Makes sense from theee end, they don't nessisary need any new listings but always need more bookings. Getting fed up of dealing with them.
They claim to have host protection for stolen damaged items, but if they don't see the person take or break it in person they will not cover it. I have had two claims with them as a host. 1 for someone smoking in the house. Of course the person said they didn't so airbnb denied to cover the damage. 2 the guest broke my coffee table and stained my area rug. True to form they asked me to prove the guest broke/stained it. I don't have video of it so they denied it. I will tell everyone I know how unethical they truly are. They are dead to me.
Tip for consumers:
Get out while you still can. Don't give these crooks your money
We had to cancel our trip directly because of Covid19 and were not reimbursed any money because we personally hadn't had the illness. However they told us we could still claim part of what we had already paid for but then, when the host rejected our cancellation request twice, Airbnb literally told us "When the system tells you that you can request a refund, it does not mean that you will receive the money back."
Never using Airbnb ever again and neither should you. If a lawyer decided to start a petition to sue them for misleading policies, I am sure they would get enough signatures. It's a pity normal people like us can't really do much against a company as big as Airbnb.
One of the worst travel platforms to work with... they provide zero support for hosts despite years of loyal working relationship, they will turn on you with no real justification. Not worth the anxiety for a big Disappointment at the end. Their customer support also sucks they provide only useless textbook answers with no real solution at the end! They are an utter disappointment to work with whether a host or a traveler!
If the host ask to refund your money because you write a bad review don't accept it. Airbnb uses that against you to remove the bad review. Do not trust all of the reviews because if the host knows this loop hole you don't really know if it's good or bad. Never again will I use airbnb.
Tip for consumers:
Don't accept any refund from the airbnb host.

I have a moderate cancellation policy, which means guests can cancel up to 5 days before. Today, after my place was cleaned, I received a message from AirBNB that my guest due to arrive tomorrow has cancelled and will receive a full refund. When I called to ask how this can happen, she said the guest said Covid. I asked did the guest have to show proof of Covid, and the answer was no. AirBNB loses nothing from this cancellation nor does the guest. The only loser on this is the host. Some partnership.
I used Airbnb for the first time after not finding a place on VRBO. And, it will be my last time to use them. I knew I should have walked away when they asked for a Driver's License, a photo of myself, and why I was visiting and wanted to stay at their place. Their cancellation policy is extremely costly too. I canceled five days after making my reservation and only received 50% back! My reason for canceling was because of a family matter and because I found out that the place may have been nice but was in a "sketchy" neighborhood after speaking with family who lived there. No thanks, Airbnb!
I've been trying to find a place to stay in Escondido, CA or nearby, and no one does long term stays. The most I've found that people are willing to host is 1 week, even if their calendar is wide open.
I contacted a woman named Ting with all the requested information about myself and asked how long she hosts visits for. She answered back that she doesn't host long visits and to find another room. Ting never even specified how many days she does rent her room for, but I couldn't ask her because she had immediately rejected my inquiry.
I'm just going to stay in a hotel for my assignment, because I know I won't be turned away for ridiculous reasons. You would think airbnb hosts would want consistent revenue and reliable renters. It doesn't seem that is the case.
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we had to cancel our reservation in Hawaii. Even though we fell within the parameters to receive a refund, were were given a "final decision" that we would only receive a travel credit. We contacted airbnb management Aisling Hassell and Greg Greely who are incompetent managers and would not even respond to emails. We dealt with a surly, condescending, inept customer service rep name Surya. Stay away from Airbnb. Their business is shockingly dishonest, misleading, and shady at the highest levels.
After a terrible experience in Paris through this $#*!ty website, I tried to contact them. Not possible. There is no contact number No customer service center. No nothing. Air-nub is a Scam!. I'm sorry letting this peep y pants Fag Nurd Brian Chesky in Sanfransisco rip me off. Be careful IsIs is one of his hosts!
I rented 4 nights in DC but when I showed up the manager confronted me at the door and said it was illegal for residents to rent out their place on airbnb so I ended up paying high fees for last minute hotel rentals for 4 nights. AIRBNB did not respond to my visa dispute over the illegal rental. A company you want to avoid at all costs.
I am a host in Nashville TN. I have hosted over 30 times. All my guests were nice and clean. We love to host. Most of the time, everything has been great. There have been a couple of times, both me and the guest have had problems with the website. The main thing is the guest must be fully vetted which includes a copy of a photo ID. Most recently the mobile was not working properly. When a guest booked, I did not get a notice until the guest called me and an hour and half later I got an email. I hope they have the app working because I rely on the app.
I booked an apartment in Boston for 4 nights and paid with paypal bank account. The host rejected my request because he prefered someone with a week stay. My money was refunded less $40 of Airbnb booking fee. I tried to call them for full refund since it was not my fault to cancel the deal. Could not get hold of any one. Email was never replied. They made it very differcult for customer to reach them. Will avoid to use it in the future! :(
We had been travelling for 4 months and used airbnb often but then we had an issue with a place we rented. It was in a very poor state and we had been misinformed about particulars regarding the property that we wanted clarified before we moved in. It went to the resolution centre where we had six different case managers from all different countries handling the issue over 24 hours. This happens as they go off duty and hand the case onto another case manager. We were told absolutely conflicting advice and in the end it was a shamble and very stressful as it appeared we had nowhere to stay. It seems as though the case managers go to the text book and cut and paste standard rhetoric that does not always suit the bill.
I'll give it three stars only because when I booked apartments earlier here, everything was fine. But this time I've booked a place I liked, paid for it, then it was canceled for no reason. And no one has yet returned me my money!
Do not buck with air BNB. I booked an entire space. And it up sharing this tiny space with the owner of the apartment. Air BNB will do nothing to fix it. I will never use the service again. I spent a fortune to tip toe through an apartment, when I could have gotten a nice hotel Room instead.
