My experience with Airbnb Luxe was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into my luxurious villa, I was greeted with unparalleled comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design, was thoughtfully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. The amenities, from private pools to personal chefs, exceeded my expectations and made me feel like royalty. Moreover, the concierge service was exceptional, catering to my every need and ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. Airbnb Luxe has redefined luxury travel for me, and I can't wait to indulge in another unforgettable experience.
Airbnb has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No support when things go wrong. I didn't feel safe at a place I rented and check in or stay there. They will not refund the full amount. Was promised a $300 refund, then only give $200. The reservation costed $423. I will never book through them again! This has been a nightmare!
Airbnb is a great concept and for hosting and as a guest I've enjoyed it. However, the customer service from them is DIRE. They like to speak in compliments and riddles. Thank you for this, thank you for that, but never any substance. No one is capable for fixing a problem, no one will take responsibility for anything. They now advertise hotels which surely is the last nail in the coffin for this company. Trying to evolve from something it was already the best at. Bizarre. Reviews will only get worse from here on in.
My family rented a villa near Florence, Italy for 5 weeks and it was amazing. We paid up front and paid a small fee near the end of our stay. Everything was straightforward with no hidden fees. Will definitely use airbnb on our next long stay abroad.
At my recommendation my mom started hosting an Airbnb. The guest never paid for their reservation and Airbnb has not paid her for the stay. On top of that the guest caused almost $1000 worth of damage that AirBnb only paid about $250 towards. The rest they said they would not cover. On one reservation my mom lost the $830 they never paid her for the stay as well as $750 in damages. I'm very disappointed and will not be recommending to anyone else that they host on AirBnb. I have been a loyal Airbnb host, but it may be time to check out the competition.
Did you know that when you book through AirBnB, the host can change the terms of the contract at anytime or cancel your reservation at their discretion with no penalty? They can decide you are not paying enough, charge an additional $2000 and expect the guest to pay with no question? If the guest does not comply - reservation is cancelled. Yes, it happened to me... How are they still in business?
Tip for consumers:
Do not expect any real response from customer service. You will hear many insincere apologies however!

I am still researching other services for vacation rentals.
First of all, most places don't offer breakfast. When airbnb started it was a great service and hosts generally offered breakfast. Now, they have tacked on so many costs, that a $120 a night place ends up costing $250 a night! Or more! Without breakfast! Why would anyone in their right mind use airbnb when they could go to a hotel and have more assurance of quality. Hope they go down...
Beware Airbnb! I made a request to book, then spoke to the host about a different property which we ended up booking through them directly. Airbnb sent me an email confirming that they voided the charges, but still put through the charges on my credit card. Now I am stuck with the charges until they contact the credit card company and have no one to speak to at Airbnb to sort this out. I will never trust them again.
Nervous experience in Taipei Taiwan. The guy could not be contacted. I spend the night at a hostel i kept as a backup. The next day went looking for this place. I found the street but not the building. Finally met the guy at a subway station, he was really unfriendly. Will never use them again. Hostels are much more reliable.
On 4 occasions booking that was made months in advance was canceled few days prior the stay. I ended up renting more expensive and less convenient accommodations. After last booking they stole money from me, promising they will refund it (I have screenshots) then they become quiet for few days. After I contacted them again regarding refund they wrote that they are sorry, refund is denied and that they can't do anything about it. They are thieves, liars and scammers. Stay away from this site.

Nothing good to add to the list of grievances. I was an Airbnb host in Australia and expected the same level of consideration and service whilst travelling in Europe. I was shocked to find that hosts did not respond to messages, were "too busy" for check-in (after a long overseas flight, the last thing I needed was to be kept hanging around an airport for an hour because my host was running late) and were unable to access guaranteed WIFI access. I was told that it was my computer which was at fault for lack of access, then accused of being "passive aggressive" because I asked for the problem to be fixed! I find that the hosts charge expensive rates and that one could easily find hotels for less cost with the convenience of 24 hour reception and service. Airbnb do not seem to be interested and did not even respond to my emails. I will never again use this website. I am so disappointed in Airbnb.
I'll never use AirBnB again. Booked a room 17 days ahead of the stay just to have it cancelled by the host two days before the trip with just an email notification. No phone notification. How are they allowed to cancel that late just because they don't feel like hosting someone? We got there and didn't have a room. Never again.
They cater to people taking advantage of others. The review system is prolonged and unnecessary; if the proper protocols had been in place in the first place. Pay more and stay in hotel that cares about its guests. There is no vetting system- all you need is a license to prove you are alive. Don't buy into it.
Beware we were charge 600 for 2 nights and everything about it was a nightmare it was infested with bugs the beds were like cement and it a the women's basement attached fo her home not a private unit no ventilation no air conditioning and it is sprayed with heavy duty bug killer that cause us all to be violently sick my son ended up with a severe nose bleed and Airbnb amd this scammer harassed me until I paid them 50 to replace a dollar store blanket that my son bled on due to high heat no ventilation and bug spray we were only down in Toronto for a family death and it was the worst trip of our lives!
Airbnb's facially neutral policies to screen out customers with past criminal convictions form a disparity impact on those customers denying them services. It is no mystery that human beings make mistakes; condemning them to a lifelong stigma for that mistake is discriminatory and Denys that person services provided and a quality of life that only "some" can enjoy.
Hi There! Hard to believe that it takes three weeks to get anyone at Airbnb to look at a claim for an accommodation that lied through photos and description. The place was not able to be stayed at for lots of health reasons and health code violations. Why does Airbnb state that claims are settled in 72 hours when it's been three weeks?
I have been renting from airBNB quite a lot particularity on my trips to Lyon in France.
I have to say that airBNB doesn't seem to be a trustworthy organization. Their client service is nonexistent. NO mail or direct phone to contact them.
Every time they charge non authorized amounts in my credit card and I have to claim to no avail. Last time I had to request anti fraud services of amex. I do recommend you people to be very careful with this company in order to prevent fraud and rip-off. On top of that strange way of operating their fees are outrageous. A rip-off no doubt.

On four different occasions in the last 12 months Airbnb has hung onto kept my funds a minimum of 10 days and once instance 30 days. Currently we had a cancellation from a traveler that Airbnb going to keep the cancellation fee of 50% of the funds for 8 months. The cancellation has been processed & completed, however Airbnb will not release the funds for 8 months. I feel that this is wrong and that they are illegally keeping funds that should be distributed.

Holy! Hannah! Steer clear! Warning everyone! This woman is a psycho! She puts false prices out there and claims she is the victim! I went on to book my family vacation and she quoted me a much lesser price. My boyfriend goes on inquiring about the same property and calls us scammers. She is a disgusting human being and should be held accountable.
I registered with AirBnB on June 23. I agonized over their over intrusive verification process and submitted the last four digits of my social security number. Late that night, a credit card fraud was committed on my card. My bank contacted me and cancelled the card. I emailed AirBnB and they sent me an auto reply. I responded to that email and nothing from them yet. No thanks --I will pull my profile off.
Airbnb host steal my money, and kicked me out of the house. Airbnb customer service took a long time to get connected, and didn't do much eventually. Using airbnb ruined my entire trip. I suggests stay away from airbnb.
There are plenty of good hosts on the site, but when you get a bad one, they not only refuse to help, but have policies in place that make it hard to get any justice on your own, such as through small claims court.
They will hide your negative review, no matter how justified. This means you can't trust anything you read on the site, nor the site itself, nor any of the hosts, just because they have good reviews.
Poor customer service. After a last minute cancellation of the accommodation (literally the night before travel), Airbnb was unable to help us find alternate accommodation, resulting in the costly cancellation of our trip. Airbnb offered a small coupon in recompense, but the coupon was tailored to Airbnb's convenience rather than attending to the needs of the customer who was so poorly treated. I have requested that my profile be deleted and will be using HomeAway or Housetrip (great for Europe) or a search site like Tripping in future.
Tip for consumers:
Try HouseTrip or HomeAway, or search using Tripping.
I chose to stay at an airbnb apartment in London. My host Maria was a sweetheart and i will definitely be back next time I am in the city
I usually do not use Airbnb, but unfortunately they are sometimes my only option. There is no way to communicate with a real person. I tried to update my account and was able to do most of what I needed to do, but apparently certain aspects of their website is malfunctioning and is not recognizing what I have entered, as if have not entered anything. When I send repeated requests for assistance on their internal support mail I get only an automated response based on certain key words. A real person does not read my messages. This is so pathetic.
Tip for consumers:
Use only if you no choice.
The are cheating people and some account who have travel credit charge more money for the service, so they don`t have to pay any money.
Customers service didn`t help at all and didn`t provide any explanation.
Not using them again in the future.
Screenshots show the difference in price
As a couple we stayed 2 nts in one place and 4 nts in another. I wrote a negative review for one and good reviews for the other. The negative did not get published a week later. This is a conflict of interest of Airbnb. Either they convert the reviews to a choice of anonymous with email confirmation, or else I will pass future renting, as this seems to be a passing phase until more like me feel cheated and quit using Airbnb. Airbnb HAS to weed out bad hosts.
