My experience with Airbnb Luxe was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into my luxurious villa, I was greeted with unparalleled comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design, was thoughtfully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. The amenities, from private pools to personal chefs, exceeded my expectations and made me feel like royalty. Moreover, the concierge service was exceptional, catering to my every need and ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. Airbnb Luxe has redefined luxury travel for me, and I can't wait to indulge in another unforgettable experience.
Airbnb has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No support when things go wrong. I didn't feel safe at a place I rented and check in or stay there. They will not refund the full amount. Was promised a $300 refund, then only give $200. The reservation costed $423. I will never book through them again! This has been a nightmare!
Berlin apartment Oskar & Marijana. Booked this couples apartment in September for a trip in November. They cancelled my booking three days before our stay. No explanation or apology given. Airbnb do not allow you to write a review in this case, as you have not made the trip. Have had to book a hotel at short notice for greater cost. You have been warned!
Upon arrival we found the house to be in poor condition, dirty and hot. We would not be able to stay in the house do to no curtains for privacy on the windows as well as the sunshine heating up the furniture to unbearable degrees. No air conditioning in the house. No drapes to close to avoid the sunshine coming in. We tried to call the hosts but no answer. We called the resolution center immediately and explained. Resolution center contacted hosts Pam and Paul and explained that although we would not be staying at the house at all we would still pay for one night. We were a total of 1 hour at the house before departing to find other accommodations. After multiple calls still waiting on a refund.
I spent over 2 hours looking around the Miami area to spend the Mother's Day holiday there. I finally find this rbn b.com so decided give them a chance. I gave them all my personal information I gave them my driver's licence to front the back everything. Hours later I get an email telling me that they had to cancel my reservation and they are going to reform me my money but it will take up to 5 days which I think is pure BS. It should be that if you cancel someone's reservation after everything that I went through the get it then they should refund you the money mediately into your account. I can't give this RB and b.com a lower star than a one if I could I would give it a -0 because they are truly full of $#*!.
Airbnb "Verification process" to PAY to rent a home includes submitting a photo, entering all usual ID info, including birthdate, verifying your phone number by entering a number they text you, then submitting a front & back photo of your driver's license. I thought this was a bit much, but okay I did it. After entering the former information I was asked to submit my complete credit card info, okay, time to pay, I entered this thinking that I must be done. NO-- next is a screen stating the need for access to either my Facebook or Gmail account AND allowing them to use all of my contacts. After much effort I was able to find a way to communicate with someone at Airb&b, thinking there must be mistake, anyone can see that this is unreasonable. Nope, without either of the latter, I can't rent from them. I am amazed that a company do this. They can only do this if we let them, will you join me in not allowing this by taking your business elsewhere?
Carefully, you are planning something and for a week suddenly... the owner cannot provide the accomodation. One has repairs, the other does not know how to use the calendar. And a week before you moving especially in the summer, prices are completely different. You will be offered compensation - 10% of the total cost of the reservation, but the prices for booking somewhat 50% or more. And according to the rules of the service, you only deserve a discount if the owner cancels the reservation in less than 48 hours...
Tip for consumers:
any guarantee from hosts, no fair comensation

Fake listing on this site. The scammer was registered as a homeowner and set up photographs of a property, etc. I was almost caught when asked to send a deposit. To long to try and tell what happened but eventually found that property didn't exist and was gone off the site
I made a reservation and realized I needed to cancel it a few days later (37 days out from date). Airbnb charged me $43 to cancel. That is a lot of money for the computer to make a couple of changes. I will be looking at other options in the future.
The host charged me $600 for a tiny stain on her table. AVOID this host at all cost: 7045 lanewood ave, Los Angeles, CA *******. The airbnb simply approved this charge, and basically said $#*! OFF if you do not participate our standard and requirements. I attached the photo of the stain that the host sent to Airbnb. You guys decide if that might cost $600.
I have used Airbnb more than 5 years without any issue, but I will never use it again.
I booked a unit off airbnb and paid in full. Host contacts me and tells me I need to cancel the booking due to the host getting caught renting a unit that was not supposed to be used as an airbnb. When I try to cancel, it states I will only get 50% back. I contact airbnb and they do honor the refund in full but insist on sending the money back to a closed account. I repeatedly asked for the refund to be sent via check, on to another credit card, in a credit form with airbnb so I could book a different unit for a fast approaching trip and they refused. They sent my refund back to the closed account and my $1000 is now bouncing back and forth between the two. Airbnb customer service has been horrible! Rude, having a "not my problem" attitude and doing nothing to help me. WORST COMPANY EVER!
It really doesnt get any worse... as you said.
They force u to enter credit card details in order check if the room is available.
They end you notification saying you will not get charged unless the owner accepts.
On both accounts the owner declined and I was charged immediately $1,650...
It seems on every other forum that you will not get your money back for upto 3 weeks. My christmas holiday is ruined and I now have to explain to the kids that we do not have enough money to go on holidays for christmas...
Recently I rented a property for a 3 night stay to find a one burner hot plate as a "Kitchen" vs a full stove with oven.
I checked out immediately after letting the host know and as a courtesy the host offered a $116.07 refund of one nights stay, although I didn't stay for more than 20 minutes
Here's the issue. I DID NOT GET MY REFUND and neither has Airbnb done anything to solve the matter even after many calls and messages on their platform.
This is a huge money grab and the customer has no recourse.
They do not hold the host accountable.
Really pleased with the flat it was clean and had everything you wanted location was excellent for us and will definitely be booking again thank you dan for all your help and always communicating with us look forward to seeing you November pam and ray swansea
Incredible bad experience.
The apartment i booked in Tokyo was in a horrible state to the point i immediately left.
I complained about it at airbnb and i stuck to their rules (Contacted and left within 24 hours of arriving and contacted the host) but no result.
The excuse was that the host had a lot of good replies, while the host is able to accept his own reviews.
Multiple phone calls later no result, multiple promises later no result and 1200 euros gone.
Just never use airbnb you're better off using a hotel.
I have used this service a couple of times and i can say - fortune smiled to me. I had no problems, i got good flats with wonderful housekeepers. Tidy, comfortable, cosy and clean flats with new furniture. Nice housekeepers. Moderate prices. This service is just awesome
My friend recommended me this site for finding normal apartments. What I can say that it's ok. I found apartments that suited well for me at a normal price. Everything were ok when I talked with the guy who offered his flat for 2-3 days' rent.
We are buying a house currently listed for rent on Air B n B. The house is supplied its water through a bore hole in the ground as its not near a mains water line. Long story short - a water inspection for our house purchase has found that the owner disconnected the water filter (filters any bacteria out of the water before it comes through the tap) several years ago and the last water report showed positive for faeces. This house has been rented our on Air B n B for several years with babies and children drinking from this water. I rang them to complain as i don't think it should be rented out between now and me getting the keys and they couldn't care less. I presume they ask that the boilers are checked why not the water. Totally irresponsible.
I rented a condo and purchased a protection plan from airbnb that guaranteed my money back if something happened where my family could not come. And Lord behold. My grandmother passed away the week before and all the promises that was sold and made was empty! Out of around $650. I received about $230 of my money back. I will never forget this and NEVER do business with them again! #LiersNthieves

Horrible booking experience. Very bias and refused to service, I spent hours jumping through hoops attempting to book and ended up with nothing but waisted time. I was told every excuse form needing to confirm with my bank to system problems. I confirmed all there was to confirm and validate, provided card/banking information and copy of my photo ID. The team was very nonchalant about the issue and put is absolutely no effort in resolving the issue and or accommodate 'me' the customer. There was no one to escalate the problem to like "oh well to bad, there is nothing we can do'' overall experience is negative. I will say, although their hosts my provide grate spaces and excellent service the Airbnb booking process itself, I can and will not recommend
Tip for consumers:
I would say book elsewhere, maybe use a different booking site to get the same hosts

I have been using Airbnb for a number of years and have never had a bad experience. I've booked 8 separate flats in London, one each in Yorkshire, Paris, Chicago, Pennsylvania, St. Lucia, and New York. I always exchange several messages with hosts and read between the lines in the reviews. Whenever I have had a question or require additional information, Airbnb representatives return my call or answer my emails in a timely fashion. My deposits have always been returned and, twice, I received $25 bonuses. Not a single host has complained about dishonest or disagreeable guests. In fact, several of the hosts have become friends. One make-up artist wouldn't let me leave the flat without doing my make-up. One host sent me to Wales, to stay in his flat without charge, and another took me to Italy, to stay with his mother in her villa. I'm 65 years old and don't enjoy the isolation of a hotel. This has been a blessing for me! Do your homework and you, too, will have a pleasant experience.
Do NOT use Airbnb. It is a mess and filled with scamming hosts and the company will not help you get your money back. Do not book. Please use something else to book. There is no oversight to this operation. It's just anarchy and craziness. Just left my illegal Airbnb after the building told me it wasn't even allowed there. Can't get refunded. Host is unresponsive and a total lying jerk. Spare yourself this grief.
Tip for consumers:
Never use it
I have been waiting weeks for reimbursement for damages done by a guest in June 2022 who put wipes down the toilet and broke the septic pump. I have supplied pictures, invoices, emails etc and still am waiting for reimbursement from Airbnb. I have sent numerous emails to Airbnb asking for this issue to be resolved and yet am still waiting. As a host who has done business with Airbnb for several years I cannot believe the treatment that I have received from this company. I offer my cottage to my guests for a lovely vacation. I should not be responsible for total disregard for the rules to keep the property running properly.
My job takes me all over the USA. I was due to be in LA for 6 months and rented a small place in Culver City. Paid the first month up front and said I might need it for 6 months, depending on if it was suitable or not once I saw if for real. The job fell through a week before I was due there and according to their policy, I would lose the first months rent of $3466.00. They also charged my credit card a further $1766.00 that they said was their "service fee". I spent an hour on the phone with someone who had me constantly on hold only to be told I would not get a refund and their service fee was for 6 months rental, although I had not confirmed a 6 months stay. They provided NO SERVICE except to take the booking. I am contacting the Federal Trade Commission as this is completely fraudulent activity on the part of Air B&B.
Tip for consumers:
Beware of hidden "service fee".

I made a booking for my in laws at Americana in Glendale California with Angela Ama. The booking was made 3 months in advance. Air bnb sent me an email reminding me of my reservation. When I called the host, she cancelled my booking but Airbnb wasn't aware of it. How could that have happened. Very unreliable.
The ability to choose a vacation rental is great. The platform almost never glitches.
Once you have a question on the charges, they really don't help to resolve or answer what the charges are for. In fact, just rudely said it is what it is and we can't help you. No particular reason to overcharge. No explanation.
We found bed bugs during our AirBnB stay and contacted customer service. The representative was less then helpful when we said we wanted to be put in other accomodations. We needed a pet friendly place to go after finding the bugs and we were told that wasn't possible and the were only going to refund ONE of our nights and WE would have to find other accomodations. After explaining 4 times that this is not our problem because we are using the AirBnB platform, the customer service rep refused to transfer us to someone who can help and again told is it was up to us to find pet friendly accomodations and to submit a refund request. His response Everytime was " I'm sorry sir, that is not possible". It was the worst customer service experience. There was zero effort put into helping us and we felt alone to deal with an issue that should be on them to assist us with.
Tip for consumers:
Be prepared to handle any issues yourself. Customer service is not helpful and makes everything your problem. We needed to make new accomodations due to finding bed bugs and were told that WE would have to find somewhere to stay and they would NOT help us do so. Worst experience we have had
