My experience with Airbnb Luxe was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment I stepped into my luxurious villa, I was greeted with unparalleled comfort and elegance. Every detail, from the stunning architecture to the impeccable interior design, was thoughtfully curated to create a truly unforgettable experience. Moreover, the concierge service was exceptional, catering to my every need and ensuring a seamless stay from start to finish. Airbnb Luxe has redefined luxury travel for me, and I can't wait to indulge in another unforgettable experience.

“Worst Experience Ever!”

Amanda N.
8/31/24

Airbnb has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my life. No support when things go wrong. I didn't feel safe at a place I rented and check in or stay there. They will not refund the full amount. Was promised a $300 refund, then only give $200. The reservation costed $423. I will never book through them again! This has been a nightmare!

I rented a place for month got to the place and it was not a place I would stay in let alone bring my daughter to so I left tried to get refund even offered to pay for three days that I didn't stay there now on day five and still trying to even get some kind of answer a bunch of bull

Tip for consumers:
Really look at the place your going to rent before renting because after you rent good luck on getting anything back

If you really need a secure booking DO NOT USE Airbnb. Hosts can cancel your booking at any time. I booked something in Schenactady weeks in advance to take my kid to college. A few days before the reservation I emailed the host Ricky and asked if I could bring my dog. He didn't reply, he just cancelled my reservation! I immediately emailed him again saying I don't need to bring my dog and I don't want to cancel the reservation. Again, he did not reply at all! So unprofessional, completely unreliable, and it has put me off Airbnb permanently. If one host can do this, any host can, and there's too much at risk. I wish I could warn other folks who might book with Ricky's "beautiful" place in Schenectady.

On my second airbnb reservation my host cancelled. I learned that this is the hosts prerogative under their policies. Airbnb states that a refund to a credit card should take about 5 days. It took much longer: eight days until they documented my refund request and another eight days until it showed up as a refund on my credit card.

I scheduled March 16-20 at an Airbnb location, in Florida. Due to covid 19. I my family cancelled. I try to get a refund they only gave a partial one. The host. Contacted Airbnb to further discuss my refund they never returned my call. I will never use Airbnb again. Stayed at that same resort in 2018. Due to this pandemic I think it's unfair not to get a total refund.

Airbnb do not respond to complaints and do not appear to have a competent procedure.Contact made to the director companies house with no response either.Raised a simple procedure with the Sheriff Court for failing to make payment to owners.

Ever have a problem? Need to get ahold of customer service. Forget it. They only do "chat" and they say they will get back to you never do, and their " managers" which I'm pretty sure don't exist can never talk? So weird I will never give my money to them again. Worst service ever

I booked thru Airbnb a unit in Newport Beach. The pictures of the unit looked good. However, the place was a hovel. I can't begin to list all that was wrong with the place, but perhaps the best example was the mold growing on the heat register. Considering the place was a dump and the mold made my allergies intolerable, we had to check out after 3 days of a ten day reservation. But what really annoyed me was after I send an email of complaint to Airbnb, they had the nerve to respond saying it was a pleasure to speak to me and they were closing my case. The problem was they never spoke to me about my complaint. I could not believe the unmitigated gaul. I strongly recommend that you not use Airbnb because if you ever rent a place based on the pictures (which are misleading) or have to lodge a complaint with Airbnb, you will get some bull sh... response. I feel completely ripped off by Airbnb and want to warn anyone interested in booking they them, you will get butt fuked

Rented a place that had a rental agency in charge. Horrible experience and so the blame game starts. Airbnb says it's not their fault cause they're not in charge. Rental agency says contact airbnb. You guys deserve the bankruptcy that is coming

I booked an Airbnb experience, and Airbnb gave the host and I the wrong date and so charged me for the experience the week before it should have occurred. So now I am out $40 for the experience that never occured. There is no number to call Airbnb to talk to customer service on the site. I am now afraid that something will actually go wrong with the apartment I rented through them. I hope it is there when I arrive in Paris in a few days! Do not pay for any experiences on the site since they mislead you and charge you for experiences that never happen!

These guests are thinking that this is like a hotel. If they are looking for a Hilton then they need to book a Hilton room at 5x the rate. I have a one room eff. With private bedroom & bath. It is attached to my home and I describe it as such. However, the reviews that are left from some do not understand or have no experience staying anywhere other than a hotel and expect the same amenities but want to pay less than 1/2 the price. I am very accommodating and ask my guests if there is anything else that they may need after the 1st night and tell them to call me if they need anything. I leave coffee, water, fruit/pastries, and toiletries but some guests still manage to find fault with something.

Tip for consumers:
Do not expect this to be a hotel, if you do then book a hotel night. If you are a tourist then you may not like it, most of these places are for experienced travelers.

Bedbugs = No Refunds!
The place I booked had a big bedbug infestation. I made the cancelation and I didn't qualify for a full refund. I was out of pocket $1,000 and stranded for 10-days. Thanks a lot guys, that was tons of fun :) Everyone loves cuddling with long-legged friends.

I had a pretty bad experience with airbnb. The place I booked didn't meet minimum quality standard for a private room. The room was dirty and there was no privacy. All I could do was to walk away and cancel the reservation. Aibnb refunded only 30% of the booking cost.

As long as everything goes exactly according to plan (which is almost NEVER) do NOT use airbnb. They have the absolute worst customer service and I am amazed they are able to do business. Never will I use them again. Homeaway and vrbo have my business from now on!

Beware Airbnb. I booked an Airbnb for October, then had to cancel that reservation. The cancellation went in four months before my booking started and yet I was charged $4000 for the first month. The cancelation policy is unclear. But what is clear is that I am done with Airbnb.

Tip for consumers:
Check the cancelation policy carefully or it could cost you a great deal for nothing.

Airbnb showed full professionalism and a lot of empathy in canceling a reservation due to the death of a loved one. Airbnb employee was available at any time, communication was very quick and effective. I got so quickly back all payments and I really highly recommend use of Airbnb service

I found out that when requesting a refund after a cancellation ( well within time limit. Like 15 min later!)... a slip up on which box to check can cost one not to be able to get a full refund. Airbnb now is holding $84 in a so called " booking credit acct". I may never be using this credit. I am not a regular user of travel. It is non transferable as well. Apparently their software program does not allow for this refund. I sent a letter to the CEO. *******@airbnb.com No response back. Airbnb has CONNED ME from returning the $84 plain and simple. I am a retired senior ( and not the rich group). And NO ONE SEEMS to be able to fix this "software issue". No excuses AIRBNB. YOU WILL BECOME KNOWN TO THE BUYING PUBLIC as rip off artists. And a new upcoming rental concept competitor will arise from this. Just imagine. Really. The software does not allow anyone to return MY money. SHAME ON YOU!

Tip for consumers:
Airbnb seem to have no interest in upgrading the software so people can have a clear image on how to properly process their needs. Worse than that, no one can bypass the software to make things right. This is a joke by today's software options... thus I conclude Scammer and thieves.

Booked an Airbnb in Florida, checked in to property kind of late, around 7pm and there were tons of problems. Airbnb and the host were very helpful in refunding and helping me find somewhere to stay for the night. Which was a hotel suggested by the air bnb ambassador since we could not find another air bnb on short notice. I was told I would be reimbursed for my hotel stay since it was not planned and out of my budget. That night I booked another bnb for the next day. When arriving to the property we had similar experiences as the first property and requested a refund and to vacate the premises. That process went even better than the first time.

Post States in their listing that a four-wheel drive vehicle is needed in winter however, when I contacted the host about my Memorial Day visit they advised me that my sports car may not make it due to road work being done which they did not disclose before I paid, when I sought a refund I was only offered less than half. Apparently airbnb can't step in to help guests.

Recently stayed at an Airbnb property in Sicily and it was NOTHING like the images on the Airbnbs site. Torn sheets, construction site outside, thinnest bath towels, dirty, tired looking, broken sofa lounge etc etc
Airbnb needs to have more accountability on the properties that they list and not go by what the host posts up. They need to follow up on these properties to make sure they are up to scratch. I am sure they can afford to employ the staff to do this!

As a host, AirBnb will ruin your holidays.
Letting your place on AirBnb is a lot of stress before, during and after the guest(s) stayed at your place. It's a lot of stress before, because it's a huge amount of work to prepare your place. It's a lot of stress during, because you are away and guests always have questions and requests. It's a lot of stress after, because you worry about bad reviews that could hurt your popularity. Altogether, if you want to enjoy headache free holidays, don't let your place on AirBnb. If you really want to do it, hire a landlord or an agency, you won't regret it.

Airbnb has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. A week before our stay the host tried to double the cost of our stay when he was the one that created the booking. Customer service for Airbnb didn't even listen to our claim and ignored us for over a week and then didn't even listen to us and sided with the host when it was their error and refused to get us any kind of refund. They won't even communicate with us and it's a mess.

I tried calling customer support many times since my account was blocked by airbnb. The response is: you will recieve an email/call from us shortly. No call. No email. No account. Terrible customer servies today - was on the phone with them for 15 min and they disconnected me. I can't use their services because they can't reactivate my account.

I was given a gift card to use toward my expenses in visiting someone after I had already made the reservation. It turns out that Airbnb will only let you use a gift card at the time you make the reservation and it can't be used to pay any remaining balance. So, it is a gift card, but it isn't really a gift card. Not an honorable business practice.
