Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
Wow, I called to get a quote, they pushed hard to get me to book. They booked me with a general contractor when I wanted a specific skill set. Booking was two weeks out. They assured me I could cancel the appointment up to 24 hours in advance of the appointment. I called back later the same day that I made the appointment to cancel the future appointment. They then billed my credit card for the full amount $449.00!
This is blatant fraud! I will never do business with this company!
I would call them but I don't want to waste my breath on them.
Terrible business!
Tip for consumers:
no service was provided, yet they billed me for the full amount ($449.00) of the estimate for an appointment that was cancelled 2 weeks ahead of the scheduled appointment

Tip for consumers:
Do not recommend using Angi to book services.
Mackey 'handyman' of Rochester, NH received a large down payment in August 2024 for a small roofing job in Berwick, ME. I had to cancel due to my wife's numerous ill health issues, but the 'handyman' refuses to return ANY money, nor take our calls. NOT RECOMMENED!
Tip for consumers:
I wrote a legitimate complaint of a 'handyman' who took money from very elderly seniors who had to cancel or postpone a small roofing job due to health issues. He now refuses to even acknowledge our phone calls for return of the downpayment or even a partial amount.
Angi (formerly Angie's List) is the modern take on the age old business question—People receive an internet product for free, but how can we get them to pay for it? It used to be email, ecards, caller id, etc. With Angi, it's reviews. There are innumerable sites that provide reviews for free. Angi makes you pay for it, and still takes money from companies to promote their ads above actual good candidates.
They are documented as being just as unreliable as other public review sites, such as Yelp, even more so. You can see from their failing business that consumers aren't buying it, so why should you?
I WAS QUOTED 312.00 FOR DRYER REPAIR. GOOGLED PROBLEM, ABLE TO REPAIR WITH 8.00 REPLACEMENT KNOB...GLAD WE WERE NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO FALL FOR THE RIPOFF. I WILL REPEAT THIS RIPOFF TO EVERY ONE I KNOW WHO MENTIONED ANGI. NOT ABLE TO REPORT OVERALL RATING AS MINUS 100
I think so called "professionals" use Angi as a scam.
Booked for an AC service. The guy never showed, claimed he was there. I was outside in front of my home when he texted me he was there and no one was in sight. I took a picture. He cancelled 8 minutes later saying I wasn't there. Anji forces you to pay full price for that. DO NOT USE ANGI. Use at your own risk.
Anji had me rebooked. But the next guy was three counties away. Thank god I contacted him. He said that by the way it was booked, won't be able to help me. This Angi professional said the Angi platform SUCKS, and suggested that I cancel and contact a local pro.
Tip for consumers:
Wasted hundreds of dollars and got NOTHING!
They miss lead you take your money and leave you penniless. They say you will get so many calls for your business and if they don't have calls for your business they will send you calls that don't apply to your business or are not equipped for.
Angie likely changed her name from Angie's List to try to get away from all the bad work done from bad Angie's list. I had a generator company referred to me off of Angie's List and totally got ripped off. When I tried to contact Angie's List about my problem I couldn't get anyone to help me. I'd like to explain everything here but there's not enough space. I strongly urge all to use the Better Business Bureau.
I am deeply dissatisfied with the treatment I received and believe it's crucial to bring these issues to your attention to prevent others from falling victim to similar tactics.
Before signing up for Angies Ads's program, I was assured that I would be the exclusive service provider listed under the "docks" category. This assurance was key to my decision, but it turned out to be a blatant lie and a clear case of fraudulent misrepresentation. I was misled into believing I would have a unique position, only to discover this was false.
Angies Ads' practices are not just misleading but outright deceptive. They promised one thing over the phone to secure my business and then failed to deliver. This is a clear breach of contract and a violation of consumer protection laws. Despite repeated requests, they refuse to release the recorded phone calls from the interview, raising further concerns about their transparency.
When I sought to resolve this issue and requested to be released from the contract, Angies Ads demanded a 35% cancellation fee of the total contract amount. They have also threatened to send my company into collections if I do not comply. This aggressive behavior is unacceptable and highlights their focus on profits over fairness.
My interactions with my client manager, Malaika, have been frustrating. She has been overly blunt and abrasive, showing little interest in resolving this amicably. It's clear that Angies Ads is more interested in trapping customers in binding contracts than providing a service worth the exorbitant fees.
I am seeking your assistance in holding Angies Ads accountable for their deceptive practices. By addressing this, other potential customers might be spared the distress and financial harm I've experienced.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
They get you to join, give you a good price, and the 1st contractor wanted to come early. Which was OK, never show and canceled for the 2nd date. A new contractor was assigned and he wanted to postpone it the day of. I canceled everything with them and demanded my joining up money back.
The best thing was I received all of my money back.
I can not recommend Angi for anything. You are better off grabbing a contractor in the Lowes or Home Depot parking lot.
Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
Tip for consumers:
Roman and Alex were awesome. They did a great job!
Very detailed, polite workers, punctual excellent work.
Performed several walkthroughs ensuring all details of our requested needs were being addressed. Would use again and definitely recommend to anyone that cares greatly about the end product.
You can ask for quotes that you may not get, and how do you give a review for Angi using Google reviews? Apparently, you can't.
Tip for consumers:
Unprofessional business with no Better Business Bureau certification. Nuff said.
Do not use these people let me just save you the trouble the pro so-called pro no thank you the person they sent out here to do my lawn and lawn care of my landscaping to trim the bushes up with one weed eater leaves an entire mess doesn't even mow doesn't do the backyard and then when you try to call customer service person from every other country but America try to add photos and videos, but it's not accepting just a normal picture taken from an iPhone says the file is too big
Tip for consumers:
Yes, I jabber go ahead and review me as low because I can’t even upload a photo taken from my iPhone without the file being too big yeah OK
I was really happy with Jet Stream service they did an amazing job with my suv. They took their time to detail my vehicle from inside out from cleaning tires, dashboard, car seats and et. I definitely recommend the service!
Tip for consumers:
Definitely will be back!
Honestly, if I could give 0 stars I would. They are awful. Back in 2010 I joined Angies List, now Angi, as a contractor advertising for clients. It was pricey but I had some very good results. I noticed it went way down hill and service was awful so I left since I had plenty of word of mouth work. Fast forward, they change hands, I figured maybe they'd be like they were when I first started. It turned out to be the opposite and literally a scam. The first sales rep was all about getting all he could monthly from me. They promise a certain amount of contacts per month which fell way short. My account manager did nothing to resolve that, and most if not all the other leads appeared fake or non responsive. It used to be you'd go into a directory and potential clients reach out to you. I received some very good clients back then. Now, it's totally different. In 6 months I've yet to have a worth while lead. Most if not all do not respond. I've had many say I had the wrong number or contact, that doesn't even make sense since they're info was sent to me through the app. It appears they find leads anywhere online and send them to you rather than someone seeing your reviews and looking you up. It's an outright scam, $400 per month for nothing, and I don't even think the leads sent are legit. They have the audacity of charging 35% of the unused amount as a cancellation fee. So in summary, they didn't send the minimum amount of leads per month. The ones they sent were non responsive or claimed I had the wrong person. It's a cash cow for them and they do not deliver what they promise. Then you have a hefty bill to get out of the contract they didn't honor. I'd expect some kind of reimbursement if they were a legit company that stands by their service and waiving the cancellation fee. They're just high pressure sales people that probably come and go taking hard earned money. The best I can do now is go on every review site and post my experience to help other tradesmen avoid losing money. STAY FAR AWAY!
I own a small carpet cleaning company start up. The sales person lied through their teeth to me. I'm paying $800 a month for a whole bunch of fake scammer leads. The customer service is horrible. I get fake scam lead after fake scam lead and they do nothing about it. I just keep getting charged. In order to cancel it will cost me over $3000, do not believe the sales person because they lie and say whatever they think they need to get you to sign on the dotted line. There is no way out of the contract besides to pay 30% of whatever's left. This has been an expensive mistake. Do not do it.
Tip for consumers:
They don’t deliver what they promise.
Christian was very understanding of what I needed. His pricing was very fair his professionalism and I for detail was very overachieving, and I think that's why I love this so much. If I need any more material painting done on my house or have a friend to refer to Christian, I certainly will.
I contacted Angi to have mulch put down on my front and back yards. I put the job on Angi on April 1st. After 1/2 hour I got a response from NRV Services. Nick from NRV came out to my house to survey the job and I asked him if he could get the job done within two weeks. Without hesitation he said yes. He then emailed me that he would come on April 20th. After a couple of weeks, he pushed my job back to April 27th. He then emailed me again and told he would do the job on May 4th. I emailed him back and asked him if he would please promise me that he would do the job om May 4th. He promised me that he would definitely do the job on May 4th. On May 4th he never showed up to do the job. I stayed home all day, and I tried calling him periodically to ask him when he was coming, but each time my call and message went to voicemail. What really gets me angry is that after promising me that he would do the job on May 4th he never got back to me. It really pissed me off that he had no consideration for me after promising me that he would do the job on May 4th and not even calling me. It is apparent that NRV Services has no consideration for potential customers. My question is, why did he even consider doing my job in the first place. This was truly a very bad experience for me.
James was very good at what he was doing. I would recommend him for any job that you could possibly have that needed repairs or even new construct.
Scam, scam, scam
Don't trust them
I received all fake lead norespond, no answer this is big trap.
They forced me for termination oh 35% of whole year. Don't sign anything.
Termination with them forced pay $1890. Scam scam award.
Rachel backer, Dan thacker didn't explain me about cancelation fee as %35 of whole year like $1890 at the first of sign.

Bought a 11' x 13' garden shed from Walmart, also bought assembly for it from Walmart, Angi shed assembly, the service kept changing the times and dates they were coming, they finally showed up a week later, and they had no clue how to assemble it, wrong parts in the wrong places, left it in pieces, said they had to go, several days later sent different crew, they did not no what to do either, that's all I got from them, second crew came back days later and mostly got it done, many screws missing, had to agree to pay them cash... 250.00 and it still is a mess, do not buy there service to assemble a shed, they will screw you.
BE AWARE! If you want to use Angi Ads to advertise your business, THINK AGAIN. What a waste of money! As a small business, we paid $4,000 on a contract with them for one year and have not received even one customer from them—0 customers. We canceled our contract and had to pay 35% out of what was left as a penalty for cancelation. Even though we still had three paid months left, they stopped advertising and took our money. $4,000 down the drain in a matter of six months.

I would reconsider at all cost. The cost of having these hustlers in your home vs doing it yourself or paying a local handy many you trust is priceless. Angie is a con. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE. I"M WARNING EVERYONE. They scheduled for a wed. Girl texted me and she was one block away. She text me and I told her I would go meet her to show her the street. Never heard from her again. I asked her if she was still coming. No answer.
Rescheduled for Friday at 9am. Person called me at 7am and cancelled the appt for no reason. Rescheduled for Sat. At 11. Called and canceled that same day. The last one before I cancelled was a text asking if they can bring their boyfriend to help set up. It's a free for all of all these people living in your area picking up jobs that Angie post. Who knows who these people are and if they are background checked too. They have all your information. I called Wayfair and told them all of this and they acted like it happened all the time. BEWARE!
Tip for consumers:
These people just sign up to work for Angie. Kinda of like Uber but not background checked or vetted. Super unprofessional. Beware with your personal information and your home.
We had a 40 foot long,3 foot wide cement walkway made from the sidewalk to our front door.Seylah was able to construct his walkway, while communicating with another contractor, who was building a fence alongside.
Seylah does high quality work. He is a little hard to keep in touch with; so keep trying! Time for a driveway...; I'd hire him again.
