Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
I sales lady was good. She had a southern accent and talk a great game. I got suckered and gave it a try. Next thing I know I'm dealing with someone else. She wasn't helpful at all. After 6 weeks they could never find my 2 licenses to I could get the jobs I want. I sent email after email to get them out on. No response. They send you leads that are hour away. They don't keep there word. Stay clear.

Stay away from Angie leads

We described the roofing project we were looking at. Angi provided 3 vendor contacts, only one of which responded to us. Originally was considering metal roofs but decided on high quality shingles as more reasonable alternative based on the project details.
Had a tech install a dishwasher las Tuesday(8-16-2022) thought everything was OK. 2 days later I noticed the rug in front of the sink was wet(thought dog had peed). Noticed area was still wet, realized there was a leak. Contacted Angi's on Friday(8-19) Was given an appointment for today(8/22) at 8:00. Tech messages me "I made it", no where to be seen at my address. No idea where he was and he was told to leave. Phoned Angi 3 times still no tech for 4 more days. Would give them a minus 10 if possible. Would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Now my kitchen floor is ruined.
I was with Home Advisor and closing leads. Ever since Angi took over, I've had 47 leads since January 1st, 2022. Not one job did I get. Wrong number, voice mailbox full, can't leave message. No one is returning my calls, text messages or emails. If I do get someone on the phone, they hang up on me, or wants to pay next to nothing for a large home. I've been getting jobs from the Nextdoor App and word of mouth. What do I need Angi for. 47 leads!
Setting up the appointment only took one phone call. A nice young man came out to view the problem with my switches at a home I'm renovating. He had the problem diagnosed and fixed before lunch. His pricing is hard to beat and he don't mind telling you if the job is out of his scope of practice.
They were fast and reliable. They responded very quickly and handled my furniture with care. I had a lot of bigger items and they took their time to make sure they could safely take everything from one place to the next
Total kitchen remodel by Mike La Fontaine, Sonny from Premiere Home Remodeling. Excellent workmanship with a very fair price accomplished within contract frame lines. We are very satisfied with the overall remodel, price and fantastic look.
Most of the professionals I've hired from Angi have done an excellent job in completing my projects. One thing I learned is you can't rely on favorable reviews alone. You also need to look at the negative review for a common pattern of complaints.
If you don't have connections and you're not a do-it-yourself kind of person, then go to Angi!
Absolutely awful. I would not recommend this app to any business unless you want to throw your money away. You are required to call a lead back in under 15 minutes if you want the possibility of getting the lead credited. Then you get alerted 20 minutes after. They would not credit that unless I kept my account going. Definitely not interested in being anyway connected to this company.
The great thing about Angi is there are hundreds of service providers, choosing one often seems to be a random experience. However, with Angi you can read the ratings by customers who have actually used the service. This has two benefits -- first, it gives you guidance to an already rated capable and worthy provider. Second, that provider knows you're likely to write a review of his or her work. That gives them extra incentive to do the best possible job for a customer referred to them by Angi.
I have used angis list for years, but the last two years have been awful. Any time I look for a vendor, I get inundated with calls and emails, even after the project. I decided to cancel the $44 service and followed the instructions on the website. 5 days later I was charged again. This despite receiving dozens of emails to hurry up and finish my most recent project search. It seems like Angi thinks homeowners are the product despite still charging us. Do not recommend!
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use it. You’ll get stuck in a do loop and never get out.

Bruce was tremendous! He educated us as to what to look for, gave pointers on how to avoid problems and help prioritized future projects. With all of the emotion involved Bruce helped deliver fair and unbiased information. Assured us of buying a safe and sound home for our family. Outstanding Service, great price, better man! Highly recommend!
This site behaves different from the former Angie's list. Recently I looked for exterminators and had in mind the ones I wanted. Although I did not click to have some vendors contact me, surprisingly that happened. Anyway it was easy to fix the mix up.
I used Angi in the past under its former name, and I was happy with it, but currently you and your partners have really gone downhill. I had a simple plumbing request, and I called the recommendations you sent me. Nobody would give me an estimate over the phone (which I guess I can understand), but to send somebody out most of them wanted $65 just for an estimate. I tried to call your company directly to discuss this (rather than posting this negative review), but all you have is a phone tree--no way to talk to a person. You guys were great in the past, but no longer today. Back to Craigslist.
Angi absolutely ripped off both my wife and I, as well as the electrician. I had to book two separate electricians, one who wasn't even qualified. Once the second electrician arrived we got to chatting and I found out they only paid him $50. He then asked for an additional $250 cash to fix our outlet. I'm now $750 out for a job that should have cost $100 according to the electrician.
We had two great guys come out today to fix our thermostat and they were very fast and great workers. Thank you Camilo and Justin for your hard work today. Thank goodness for air conditioning tonight!
I was trying to find someone to fix a clogged sewer pipe. Was told someone would be here the next day at 9 am which I thought was strange since I couldn't find anyone locally. The apt was cancelled that morning and rescheduled for the next Saturday at 5 p.m. I was told I could contact the " pro", I live in PA, the "pro" had an Alabama phone number. Contacted customer service which is obviously in another country. Finally was able to cancel the whole thing. Later, got a call asking if I'd found someone, when I said yes, I was hung up on. Have been receiving texts and emails all day from them. Avoid Angi at all costs, hey have no clue what they're doing.
Ridiculous experience. Started to complete the for for septic services. Got to the end and the Agreement box had to be checked. I do NOT like spam calls. So I did NOT agree and backed out. Within an hour I was receiving Spam calls! Home Advisor is a piece of garbage and bad about this and now they own Angi. Save yourself. You are just as liable to get good service looking up someone on the internet.

No product. It's a service site
Not sure when they 'evolved' but now they don't offer choices of A or B contractors. They give you some names which you need to research before looking for a quote. Then Angie offers an appointment option. I tried 2 different projects. Nobody came for any appointments and nobody responded to requests for estimates. Got several calls from Angi personnel to 'assist' but that was a bust. This was over a 2 week timeframe.
I found the new Angi site difficult to navigate. The whole review process was unnecessarily confusing. I did not like that had to provide date of service and cost in order to complete the review. I feel that information is private.
I have stopped using Angi's list entirely because do not like your new process. I dislike having to answer so many questions. It is cumbersome, intrusive, limiting, and not at all helpful. After my last search I received multiple phone calls. I will choose who I call. This service no longer seems to aimed at helping the consumer.
First off, the guy would not let me hang up the phone from his sales pitch, he insisted I stay on the line. I was interested and had to think about it. The $300 a month contract for a year was something I had to think about. My stupid me signed on only to call and ask for a refund a few HOURS later. They told me they cancelled and come to find out the next day a cancellation request never was put in. They expect 35% of the remaining contract if you cancel before the year is up. A scam. I should have just hung up the phone on this guy!
This website of Angie's or Angie's list may be a route to find yourself a contractor, however, the obsessive and intrusive emails and texts are absurd. I would NEVER suggest using such an intrusive site to get information or contractors. I have blocked 32 numbers in 5 days, and blocked texts, which I never permitted, 18 times as of today. If you like intrusions, I am sure you can find help at this site.
Great, I can find electrical help fairly easy. Max is a great person and electrician makes things simple to happen and takes no time to contact him. He is affordable and tried to work with clients in every way possible to meet their needs
They came out right away and gave me quotes and showed me samples. They took into consideration I needed a handicap bathroom that will hold up. They did extra research. They are polite and professional. I highly recommend these guys. You won't be disappointed.
I have good and disappointing experiences with different pros on Angi. Some (house cleaners, window cleaners) were great, and I was very happy with their work. Others (handymen) were advertised as a pro in their field but turned out to be a 20-year-old college student with zero handyman experience--he planned to view youtube videos while doing the work. In part it was my fault for hiring him; he had no reviews on Angi, and I thought that maybe it was because he had just joined, and I wanted to give him a chance. Now I know better. I wish Angi could verify the level of expertise of their "pros" before allowing these people to advertise themselves all willy-nilly.
