Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
I have a small business that specializes in different services from lawn care to office cleaning. Angi's leads has been calling me and trying to get my business. I was just waiting on more workers so I'm not over booked. I received a call today from a representative while I was in the grocery store with family. When I answered I simply said I was busy and his response to me was if you're so busy why did you answer the phone? I will not do business with a company who allows there representatives to haggle customers like this. This is not the first time!
Months ago I had submitted help find someone for a wood siding job I needed done. When they submitted my request I had contractors calling asking about vinyl siding. I did get some calls later on about wood siding but by that time I had already found someone.
Now they call saying do you need any assistance with your bathroom project and I did not request that service. I get calls anyways soon as I got off the phone with ANGI list personnel.
Annoying here comes another call right now
I can't believe any one could rate this less than 5 stars. I have had nothing but great experiences with Angie's List. I have been able to use highly rated service providers plus take advantage of the "Big Deals" they send out. I have saved absolutely hundreds of dollars on services that I needed with this site. The service providers I have used have been so courteous and service oriented, always making sure I am a satisfied customer. To date I have used bath tub refinishing, window washing, roofing service, weekly pool cleaning service and a pool plaster & tile cleaning specialist.

Just tough to figure out how to navigate. I don't know if or when I an in the fixed price quote or in an area the just launches multiple requests for quotes. I am unable to figure out how to just simply put in a name of a contractor to review their stats. Summary - a constant struggle to get to the data directly. Also this is the third review entered in the system so I dont know where the previous attempt disappeared.
I hired a local contractor listed with Angi, to do some concrete work, specifically 2 new pads or slabs, one for my patio, and one just outside one of the house's doors. I ended up also having the well enclosure, which is sunk in the larger of the 2 pads (the patio one), repaired and reinforced. The contractor and his crew did fantastic work, and were both pleasant and professional. I am extremely pleased with their work, and am particularly thrilled with how nice the new slabs look. The contractor communicated with me reliably, and worked progressed in a very timely manner. I hope to hire them soon for other projects :)
As soon as you hit enter on the website to get a quote, you get bombarded by calls from vendors regardless of the time. I received a call at 22:45 from a call center regarding receiving a quote and I was fairly annoyed. I'm glad sites like this exist but some guidelines should be put in place to limit the number of vendors that call. I recommend providing the customer the option of how may vendors they would like to receive calls from and time limits to call.
We use lead generation services and decided to give Angie's List a try. They provided us with a ton of information and guidance and promised that we would receive lots of leads. It took longer than acceptable to get everything set up, but when we finally got everything completed with them we expected to start receiving leads (especially since the type of work we do was supposedly sought after by Angie's List subscribers, but not many contractors were on the list for those services). After several months, we hadn't received 1 single lead. Not one! When we called Angie's List to cancel, they said if we had done our part we would have had leads coming through. Are you serious? We did everything they asked and they blamed us! Obviously they don't believe in their abilities to generate leads if they are going to blame the subscriber. Then they said the fee to cancel was $600! What a rip off! Buyer Beware!
This contractor *******644 works ‘under the table, makes money building decks as a SECOND job. (and at Greece NY). His work is unprofessional, and he is asking customers how to build their ‘deck', in other words customers to advise the contractor about the specific contractor process against the building codes. Randy Howard does not know what he is doing! Randy Howard is violating the Building codes, does not suggest applying for building permit, and builds deck/s with negligence and carelessness. He is dishonest, does not dig holes for the legs of the deck, which make the deck movable and futuristically sinking. This is a life hazard. Zero recommendations can be made about Randy Howard ‘under the table decking'. Be mindful if you hire Randy Howard: he is a coward and a slapping ‘self-proclaimed contractor''!
I don't personally see much value in what they offer. They also make it practically impossible to cancel your membership. I called to cancel my paid membership and got a message saying I had to upgrade to "gold membership" to be entitled to phone support. I sent them an email to cancel and it bounced. I tried filling out their online "contact us" form, and got an error message saying I was not allowed to use special characters in the message, even though I wasn't using any special characters. What kind of "consumer friendly" company treats their customers this way? I recommend you stay far away from these folks. I've had great success with Thumbtack, and recommend you give them a try.

I got limited responses to my requests. But the worst thing has been the number of spam calls I get ever since using them. Obviously they sold my info (maybe I should have read the fine print). About 10 spam calls a day ever since using Angi. Definitely NOT worth it!
Tip for consumers:
Your info will be sold and you will be spammed mercilessly.

Before I started using Angi leads, the representative that helped me did not make it clear that I would have to pay a fee for each lead, whether the work was approved by the owner or not! Many "leads" were being emailed to me, but when ever I tried contacting the customers, there would be no answer! All of a sudden I was being charged +$2,000! I called customer service to work something out, however, they would tell me that someone would call me back to help me with this refund. No one ever did.
Great prices and great installers! We wanted to give our newly purchased "dream home" an update look and thought black windows would do the trick! No offense to those who have white windows but ours were old and boring. They look great and they were installed in a very timely manner.
This is a terrible app. My job wasn't completed. I cannot get ahold of the contractor. I cannot get ahold of Angie. I have sent them several emails with no response. They have no telephone number to contact them. They were putting in a doggy door and only cut one side of it. There was a problem with electrical being in the way which I had another contractor take care of. Then i called and texted the original contractor several times to come back and finish with no response. Do not use angie's app!
If I could give negative reviews I would... Angielist charges a few hundred dollars when you sign up. Then they charge you an additional $800 dollars for who only knows what reason. Then you hey try and charge you an additional $1000 on top of that with an explanation. And if you don't pay it they suspended your account. Learned that the hard way. Why does Angielist not help people who want to start a business instead of stealing money from people that are starting a business. It's ridiculous that y'all have to lie to people just to get them to sign up with y'all. I tell you what my business was doing good before you and it's doing good without y'all... Angielist is t nothing but a bunch of lying idiots
We're so sorry to hear that your experience has been anything but positive. This is not the kind of service we would expect for you to have. When using our service, you will have a charge for the leads that you receive, and the amount per lead is explained up front. We also do list this information in the advertising agreement you would have signed prior to joining our network. We are happy to explain the charges, and better communicate our service. Please call our Business Center at 877-947-3639 for assistance.
I needed my gutters cleaned, I got a referral from the Angi site and made an appointment... when the gutter cleaner arrived, he didn't have a ladder that could reach my gutters, so I cancelled the service. Without asking how the appointment went, Angi went ahead and charged me over $200 anyway. When I saw the charge, I called their customer service to ask for a refund, They refused, and would only give me half of it back. So, I was charged over $100 for nothing... no work was done. There is NO reason to use Angi... they are worse than useless. Go direct to the service provider you need... or you might pay Angi for nothing.
Tip for consumers:
NEVER Use Angi.
These landscapers recently repointed and poly stoned my walkway and patio area. They did a great job and were very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend them and I plan on using them for other jobs in the near future.
Service was provided in a timely manner for a fair price. Owner is very responsive and does everything he can to provide great service. I had a softener, PH balancer, and reverse osmosis system installed and he educated me regarding the pros and cons of each product and didn't try to oversell anything. Would recommend.
I am not a fan of the new system (since Angi merged with Home Advisor. It is much more complicated to find a service or contractor because now you have to run the gauntlet of "recommended" providers who apparently pay Angie to be put to the forefront of the reviews. And I have also learned that contractors have to pay to even consider being on the list. Doesn't this defeat the whole purpose of the service? Plus the App is so useless that I deleted it. In order to get anything useful done you must log in via a PC or laptop.
I will never use Angi again to find any form of professional. I hired a handyman from their site and he completely ripped me off. He bought items from Menards that were not approved and not used on my project. Then he took the total price of the receipt and added 60% markup! Told me that was standard in the business and in his estimate and invoice. Problem is he never gave me an estimate or an invoice. ACE Handyman Services in Port Washington WI. I've tried to come to a resolution and he refuses. I cannot get Angi's help unless I upgrade and pay money so I can file a complaint. WOW. Shady.

SCAM what kind of website charges people to leave reviews AND generates further income by using ads? Angie's list. What a joke the idea that charging for a review is going to deter fake reviews is just another way of saying only business owners/contractors are going to want to leave reviews under pretend names, to increase their business.
I love my vinyl flooring from Molyneaux. Steve the salesperson was very patient when I was deciding on which vinyl went best with which LVT flooring. Steve never rushed me through all of the matching and looking at several different options.
The installers were awesome. Two guys came to install the vinyl sheeting. They were very polite and professional. They went over and above what I expected and my floor is beautiful!
Every time I walk through my laundry room, I can't take my eyes off of my floor. There is a seam, but their installation was so professional, that you cannot see the seam!
I can't say enough about Molyneaux and their installers.

I received a marketing email from Angi regarding shower remodel costs in my area - I clicked on the link but there was no cost information, only questions on what we planned to remodel. Guess I was naive - as soon as I entered the information I was inundated with calls and texts on a holiday evening, and these continued well into the next day! 30 separate calls and texts from 3 different companies, sometimes calls repeating every 1-2 minutes. I no longer can recommend this service.
Angi worker sent an un skilled worker to our house to install a tv unit. He wasted 3 hours of our time and couldn't get the job done. And the worst part is that angi didn't make up for the mistake and fix the wall or refund the cost of fixing it. I don't recommend that anyone uses this company and ill make sure I share this with everyone i know and on all social media platforms
