Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
A contractor with Angi showed up over a holiday weekend to a rental property without speaking to anyone on the project. This is a rental property, and our clients are livid at the lack of communication – as are we. We have done work with Thumbtack as well and each contractor had to get the address from us after confirming a time and date for an estimate. Why is Angi releasing our clients address to contractors we may not be comfortable working with. Will not be using Angi moving forward as it seems to utilize unprofessional and unsafe practices.
I tried to find out if there were local contractors in my town or area before I signed up for emails. I don't like to give out my email address for non-useful emails. I finally found a place to search without signing up. I put in my ZIP...and, was given a list of "general contractors in [Town Name]" none of which were in my town. There's addresses or PO Boxes under each contractor name and none of the streets or box numbers are from my town.
This is deceptive & shows what may happen if I sign up with them or pay for a contractor help from them on walmart.com (for assembling a large item). I'm glad I checked before I paid the $378!
You will probably have no problem if you are from a big city, but I am from a small town. It's not worth the risk to me.
I've used angi before to higher someone for a task in NYC, but there are millions more people there & *******s more contractors.
Tip for consumers:
It might be useful if you live in a big city, but it isn't worth the time if angi.com is going to pretend to have contractors in your area just to trick you into giving out your personal information to get "quotes" that can't be fulfilled.

I've hired a few contractors for a disabled relative in NYC. It was expensive for a few hours work. They 1st sent someone who came with the wrong tools. Then, the next guy didn't have the right tools either but used brute force to fix the problem. That worked out okay, but it took a long time -- over 4 days to get the job done.
Great job. Nothing messy when the installer left. Friendly too: Here on time. Asked us to see the end results.
Angi List proved to be a lifesaver in my quest to find reliable home repair services, particularly with A1 Gutter and Roofing Company. Their user-friendly platform made it a breeze to connect with reputable professionals. With Angi List's vetted listings and user reviews, I felt confident entrusting my repairs to A1. Their stellar service and competitive pricing exceeded my expectations. Angi List is a must for homeowners seeking hassle-free repairs.
Shout out to Nina, off A1 Gutter Company, and I must say, her customer service was exceptional. She took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. Her friendly demeanor and willingness to assist made me feel valued as a customer. Thank you, Nina, for your outstanding service!

Had some really bad damage done to a wall. Samuel fixed it quick and well beyond what I could ever expect.
This was the first time having major work done on my house. The work was done quickly, and correctly. I have no complaints, and will use them on future projects. These are just a few photos, but I had hardwood installed in my entire main level, and interior painting of my main level, and also my upstairs hallway, which included a two level entryway.
I hired a "pro" through Angi for a spring yard clean up. The person did half the job before just disappearing - leaving debris all over my yard. Despite an incomplete job, Angi charged me full price. I contacted support and they said "oh, well! That's just the way it works". This company are scammers that employ scammer "pros". DON'T use Angi if you value your money!

Angi is a scam
My company signed with Home Advisor which was later changed to Angi. Since then, I have not received any good leads. They are either the wrong task or I can't get in touch with the customer.
After spending tons of time on completing their background check I was able to secure one job and put it into my calendar.
3 hours before the job began I got an unexpected SMS asking to confirm the job and offering extra $15 bonus. The job got cancelled automatically. This was completely unexpected.
I don't have a regular habit of checking SMS daily.
I tried to reach out their support and call Angie to clarify the situation. Their phone support switches between departments without any help: nobody wants to take a responsibility. In the end they told me that there are several Angie companies under one umbrella: Angie Services, Angie Leads and Angie Ads and I'm calling through the wrong company. They gave me the email which bounced.
Reaching support through the chat didn't get any results either: there is a bot system which is hard to get through.
A lot of efforts spend for nothing, don't recommend
Angi Leads is absolute joke from the contractor perspective. 90% of their "leads" are bogus (either non-responsive customers, tasks requested outside scope of business, or customers just messing around on the internet that are not actually interested in having work done) and they refuse to credit appropriately. I lost 4x as much money as I made using their platform. Stay as far away as you can.
Tip for consumers:
How much of a scam it is.
Looking for a roof repair contractor, ended up going through local neighborhood referral. I had filled out Angi.com, the calls have still not stopped, calls, voicemails, text non stop for 7 weeks. They sold my name and number 27 times that I know of. What a scam this is. They sell your name and address and I can't stop it now. Stay away. See pics, this went on for weeks
I purchased an armoire through Wayfair, one of Angi's partners. I took a day off from work when 2 pros were scheduled to arrive. Only 1 pro showed up and was unable to do the job. I rescheduled and the same thing happened. I took another day off from work and only 1 pro showed up. I lost two days of work and I still have an unassembled piece of furniture.

Beware if dealing with this ti's tiling & design she will do half a job, return lizard eyed work to reach next payment and disappear word is that's her game so use caution
I submitted information to get estimates for painting my house thinking this is a good site to use. Immediately I start receiving texts and phone calls from painters in other towns, not where I live and asking me for my address and when I am available for them to come and give an estimate. Why did I even submit the form with any information? If you don't have any member contractors in my town then just say that and don't give my information to other people. It's a joke. I can call local people myself and I guess that's what I will do.
After 2 years at 1000.00 per month. We fell behind in the pandemic on sales and were unable to pay Angie. Thier representative called me to let me know Angie would be seeking a judgement and lein against my home and force able put me and my 12 year old special needs daughter out in the street if I didn't pay them immediately. So in fear I sold my home and we are homeless now. Just wanted you guys to know what Angie thinks about you. Funny thing we received 2 awards from Angie best performer 5m0 rating over the years. Don't deal with these people.
Angie's has overpriced referrals that are not screened for quality. I have a 5 star rating and only kept my account active as the customer service person ensured me that they were aware of the problems and were making big changes for this new year, but it is the same crappy referrals (most people don't even answer the phone) and overpriced leads. If you are considering using Angie's as a lead source, you will be sorry that you ever did. I can guarantee you that. Check the BBB if you have any doubts. Hope you have a prosperous New Year by NOT choosing
Angie's.

Angie's is a scam for contractors.
Amazing service, On time, able to contact about schedule, thorough and though we have a household of minors was able to work around and even entertain! The young lady that provided our cleaning service was so pleasant and professional. We also hired them for a tenant move out and these are the photos afterwards.
I bought a toilet at Lowe's and ordered installation. What I got was an app and two weeks of constantly changing and pushing back my installation time on a day that wouldn't work for me (as indicated on the information I filled out on my project profile). The Angi.com support person said they couldn't help with my installation schedule, but told me to call a number. The number had a weird outgoing message that cut out. I called again the next morning and the phone number was disconnected. Even Lowe's installation support told me that they were trying to reach someone at Angi to get me an installer and a confirmed time, but no success.
I cancelled our toilet purchase and install and went to a competitor. The installation cost at the competitor was less than half the price as well. Even in the last 2 days Lowe's raised their installation price for a $200 toilet from $199 to $289! I guess they figure they need to dissuade people from even using their "installation" services until they can actually line up installations for customers.
Excellent experience with work that you want done right to protect your family's health. Knowledgeable and experienced, great communication made this an overall positive experience. Fairly priced as well.
Worst experience ever- pro rescheduled & then didn't show up and they still charged my card! Never again!
Their estimates are horribly wrong, often resulting in the contractor charging the customer more than the quote provided. There is absolutely no control over contractors, they show up whenever they want, sometimes even days later than they told you. I'm currently on my third contractor for a simple job, first guy showed up, screwed everything up, left partway through and never returned. Second contractor, never even showed up. Third contractor nearly finished the job, but left it undone and has not been returning any calls or texts since. It took nearly a month to get my money refunded from Angie, as the third contractor I was paying directly instead, and they fought me every step of the way. Currently, the job is still undone, looks terrible, and I am out the money I've paid the contractor for both his labor and the materials required. Long story short, horrible contractors, terrible business, avoid at all costs.
I looked for someone to install kitchen cabinet/drawer handles and Angi gave me 3 to choose from. I asked for 2 of them to contact me and was contacted by a dozen more contractors over the next 3 days at all hours of the day. Don't use Angi unless you like having your privacy interrupted over and over and your information given to people other than the ones you wanted to give it to. I'll never use it again.
I was a landscape company that has worked with home advisor for 4 years with a 4.8 out of 5 stars. Ever since they joined with Angie I feel there main goal is money no matter if it screws us contractors over. The site don't allow customer to browse instead forces them to fill out there info and automatically generate a lead to charge us whether or not the customer is ready to start there project. With home advisor I had a 75 percent success rate with getting work. Now 80 percent of the customers don't even pick up the phone. Following there criteria with calling back customers I still get charged and denied credit. Iv since changed banking information to stop bogus charges. We will see if they contact me when they are not paid
Thorough cleaning of my sister's trailer. After going through everything and seeing it afterwards; it looked like it was set up for a showing to be sold. Our family was shocked as to how great it looked. Definitely recommend their services to anyone. Below are some pictures; I'll try to get them all on here. There is a total of two bathrooms, three bedrooms, living room, kitchen/dining room and laundry room in hall, large closet in master bedroom. All thoroughly cleaned; and large amount of packing.
