Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
Had used a few venders for work and it's a hit and miss thing. Some where fine others were so bad I can't believe they were recommended and not screened out. About two years or more I called and cancelled my subscription and they verified they would. Didn't really look careful enough until today and noticed it was still active and they were still automatically renewing subscription. Called and they said they had no record of cancellation and said they would prorate this year and cancel. Not good customer service. Will not be using them and have not for over two years. Keep away from Angie's list.
My name is Chris, I just want to say thx to Allcity Plumbing Rooter for the great customer service experience. A few days ago I had a toilet issue in my home and I was going to have company that day, so I need the toilet be working properly but it was not. I called them and right away a wonderful plumber. Eric Cuevas. He auger my toilet and like magic was working fine again. I was very impress with his knowledge and professionalism and more import price great deal. Thank you Christina
My mother-in-law lives in a rural area in upstate NY. She has health issues and I signed on with Angi List to hire a cleaning service bi-weekly. Paid for the service, set the date, received confirmation and they never showed when they were called they lied and stated it was for another date, so waited a few more days for that date and they never showed or called again, they did this several times stating they are having problems finding someone in her rural area... so we canceled it all together. Wrote to Angi and received a "Oh so sorry" 1 liner email 3wks later only to say to leave a review an maybe it can be dealt with then! What a crock this company is... don't waste your time or money. So disappointing!
I hired Juan to paint two bedrooms and one bathroom.
I was 100% satisfied with Juan and his work. He was very professional and kind. What I liked about him most was that he explained everything in very detail. Sowe could expect what he would do in the project. He was also very punctual and I like the price. We highly recommend Juan to anyone who needs a painting project. I can tell that he really loves his work.
I needed a professional Electrician, and found an "Angi Approved" one. Joe Gatto (Owner) called me quickly. He listened carefully to my problem (a sparking dryer outlet!), and said he could come the next morning. Joe analyzed the problem and replaced the outlet. From start to finish, I was impressed with his clarity, skill, efficiency and sincere, friendly spirit. I highly recommend Joe Gatto due to my excellent experience with his professionalism!
I made a booking with a handyman to do a small welding job. After we talked, he said he didn't think he could do the job. So I've tried to cancel the job on Angi, and they want to charge me $25. It has taken me 3 hours and 3 minutes to get cancelled.
Tip for consumers:
The handyman was unprofessional. Trying to cancel and get a refund was a nightmare. It literally took me 3 hours and 3 minutes, being swapped from Cancellation department to Refund department, to get the job cancelled. I've had to lock out my credit card so they wouldn't charge me. What a horrible way to do business. I'd rather live with a hole in my roof than ever call Angi. Ever. Watch your back if you do use Angi.
Each lead is charged to your account no matter if the person contacts you or not. They told me that it is a recommendation to call the lead within 24 hour but don't require. I sent out several emails with no contact. I work from 6am to 5pm at night, then billing. If I knew I would be charged no matter what, I would have never wasted my time.Customer service had nothing else but to say sorry and a bunch other crap. They offered to work together to receive a couple free leads but why would I want to work with people who won't even work on verifying a lead. I spoke with a customer service representative and their supervisor. They would not reimburse me $318 for two leads that never responded. Angi Leads is a horrible existence for us tradesman. Don't waste your time or money. They are a bunch of snakes and should be reported.
I have never in my life encountered a more pushy sales person in my life than with the Angi rep that called me on the phone. I politely declined her offer and she very rudely complained that I wasn't "investing in my company" "I just don't understand why you wouldn't want to use this service" "It's only $299." because I didn't want to pay for Angi to be my middle man. If I was one day looking to join, just based off that unpleasant conversation I will definitely will not be in the future.
Wally came out and gave me an oustanding estimate on the work i wanted done. I called to schedule the work and they showed up as promised and on time. I was given a call an hour before they showed up. The work was done to my satisfaction and for a great price. I would hire them again.
Not much different than home advisor. Other than they will not email or call you back if you have issues with your service. The amount of leads that I was told i would receive my first month I have not even recieved in two. All of the house That they send me to are in low income neighborhoods so the leads i do get are not even worth my time. Definitely not worth $300,400, or 500 a month which is what their service cost.
Would never recommend.
Even though Atlanta Home Alarm Systems, Inc. was not among the home alarm providers listed with Angi.com they accepted my review. The process was efficient and thorough without excess detail and tedium.
Ordered drywall repair for $199. Contractor never responded back to schedule repair. After months of trying to reach the contractor without success, I contacted Angie's list for my money back. They refuse to give my money back or coordinate with the contractor. Just found out that the contractor no longer works thru Angie's list and had told "Angie' to remove him from the ad offered. Angie's list will not provide money back and contractor still does not call back - so I am out $199.
I raised concerns at the very beginning of the process when I spoke with my "pro". She was not aware that I requested a move out service cleaning. When I brought this up to Angi Support they assured me on multiple phone calls that she was aware and it would be done. It was not and they only refund up to 50%. So now this process has cost me even more money. I have to hire new cleaners to get the job done right and have to pay prorated rent for the extra time they cost me. Thought I was getting a good deal... nothing was scrubbed, didn't vacuum. Save yourself the headache and the money and hire some one outside of Angi, you will wind up spending more to get the job done right.

I needed someone to come out and put in a gate and some chain link fencing. I was told that the contractor would contact me regarding what materials where needed and the cost of the materials. The contractor Gregory B. Never reached out. So today when I want to cancel Angi's list wants to charge me. Not once was I advised there is a cancelation fee, but that if the contractor failed to follow through. I still have to pay the fee! Total crap!@
Angi was responsive, but I suggest getting quotes through the people they suggest. Getting an instant quote to perform work was 2-1/2 times higher than the actual price charged for the work done. Since the quote was produced sight unseen, it was far too high.
I had coastal exteriors (roofing) install a new roof everything went well ( paid in full) until the first rain. Then the gutter area leaked they came out and looked at it i was told to have the gutters cleaned i did to the tune of $150) they pulled 50lbs of roofing material out of the gutters again the rain again the leak i call them and have since gotten the "run around" they said they will be out, no show, no call. This is a disgrace the way they treat their customers. I have called and called. I should not this was never a issue before the roof job. Its been 1.5 months
Angi is an untrustworthy company! Do not use this company! The representatives will lie to make a sale. They lied to me about the true cost of a project. I contracted for services to be rendered on April 3rd; however, my address was identified in an incorrect state. When rebooked for April 6th. Angi did a switch and bait! I was charge nearly twice as much of the original quote.

We went to Angi looking for local contractors to replace our kitchen cabinet door and drawer fronts. We found several to choose from, contacted 3 for estimates and selected one for the job, which was completed to our complete satisfaction.
We have been members of Angie's list for decades. The change to "Angi" brought with it paid commercials. Every time I generate a list of service providers, I am prompted to choose certain ones, and I suspect that they have paid to be at the top of the list.
After the 2nd independent contractor bailed at the last minute on my project, I fired Angi. I am not impressed that ICs cancel at the last minute. I protect my reputation -but because I don't know who they are - I cannot complain directly against their service. I needed this done before my painter comes. Now, I have to scramble. Really not impressed with Angi for really not knowing who they are matching up to a job that I wanted done last week.
I searched Angi for a local carpet cleaning service. I was prompted to put in the details of the work I needed done. One carpet cleaning company contacted me in less than a day, & after reviewing other customer reviews of this company on Angi, I decided to hire them. Using Angi definitely saved me time, & I will definitely hire the carpet cleaning company I found through the site again for my future carpet cleaning needs.
Did not receive a single legitimate job lead. Spend over 300$ in false leads. While ON PHONE with THEM trying to cancel membership, was charged for 2 false leads, and was only willing to admit they can remove charges if they want to but they decided to fraudulently charge me for them only because I was canceling. Fraud at its finest.

The company has a service called "Angi Service" They assign a contractor to do your job at a "fixed price". The contractor they sent was a complete scam artist. He came to evaluate the job, said he needed $250 for materials and would be back in the morning to complete the job. Normally I would not give a contractor money for materials, but Angi said this would be necessary and I had a "satisfaction guarantee" through Angi so I gave him the money. He never showed up to do the job and will net respond to Angi or myself. Angi said there is nothing they can do since he will not respond to them. My advice is to stay away from the "Angi fixed price service" they will try very hard to sell to you. I had a bad feeling from the start when Angi offered this service and I should have listened to my instincts. I highly recommend you stay away from this Angi service!
I preferred the former Angies List to this newer model. The reason is that it is difficult to access information about various contractors and tread the reviews to determine who to hire without having to being bombarded with requests for service. Sometimes I am only anticipating a service job and want to first find out what others are saying about various companies before I get involved. With the new way Angie's List and Home Advisor are doing business, you can not get off the site without first giving a great deal of information about what you are requesting and then getting names of contractors that they think would be suitable for you to contact. That might be all well and good thoughts but in every case the list of contractors calls me BEFORE I can even decide which ones to contact.
August 2022 I paid to have someone come into my home and put up a 60" TV. When the guy arrived he was 2hrs late, claims he was lost. The guy had no idea what he was doing. He refused to use the bolts that came with the wall mount because he didn't have the tools for the bolts. He used his own screws. I called Angi multiple times to complain and the only transferred me in circles. To make a long story short July 2023 the TV fell off the wall and hit my son. The screws slid out the wall the and the TV fell and broke
Tip for consumers:
The customer service was unprofessional. I called multiple times and they never made any attempt to help fix the problem
