ANGI and HOMEADVISOR are horrible businesses that charge local contractors way too much money, which in turn raises the fees they have to charge you. Contact and get quotes directly from the contractors. Search the web for options.

When you sign into Angi, they sell your project, name number, and email to 3-6 contractors who then RACE to contact you. They have already paid $$ for your information. They then need to get more $$$ out of you. Angi walks away with 6x$$ for doing nothing. And 5 contractors are out $$. Boo Hoo that's business you say? Is it good business when the cost of sales for small local contractors ranges from 40-70% of the job? Is it good business when these small contractors fail and all of a sudden you have no choice but to use a large expensive firm or no firm at all? Is it good business when you get inundated with calls and emails?

2nd time I've used your service and the last, it's like I'm playing a con game to get good service and don't let me start about canceling and trying to get my money back! No thank you never again! And please don't call me. Ty

I arranged for a contractor with Angi to install a bathtub surround.
We agreed for him to come on a Thursday afternoon. Less than an hour until he's supposed to come, they cancelling me, and reschedule for Monday (today)
So, about 2 hours before they are supposed to arrive, they cancel on me AGAIN, and want to reschedule for next Friday!
Customer service at Angi is useless.
I can't keep taking days off work for idiots who don't show up!
I will NEVER use Angi again for anything!

I found an amazing General Contractor for a nearly total re-model of of my hundred year old house. Using Angie's List saved me a ton of time and money that I would have spent if I had piece-mealed it on my own.

We have 43 "A" reviews, and because of this we were nominated and received a Super Service Award for 2015. But I received a letter today stating they will no longer show their paying customers our name or phone number unless we pay Angie's List too. This seems unethical to me, people are paying to see our company and Angie's List is instead giving them bad companies without all of our good reviews but pay them ahead of ours. And now we have to pay Angie's List to show our company to people who paid to see our company. Purely from an ethical standpoint, Angie's List is not a company I would ever pay.

Last December, I used Anji to hire ABDB home services to clean my gas log fireplace set and to to diagnose reason it was not working. Anji gave them a 5.0 rating. They scammed me. They told me the gas valve needed to be replaced and then ghosted me until I posted a negative review. They contacted me angrily. They claimed the part was difficult to find but they were expending great effort to do so. I agreed to delete review, if they stayed in touch. They did not. Six months later I find the phone number I had has been disconnected. I then hired another service (Anji 5.0), who found the thermocouple was missing. It was easily replaceable. The fireplace immediately worked, the gas valve was fine. I went a whole season without the fireplace when it simply lacked a common part. It now appears they have no recent reviews. I wonder whether they are still in business.

It's great for consumers, awful for pros. Angi sends leads to multiple contractors, charging each of them for the information. As a pro, it is hit or miss (often miss) in landing the lead. The pro is stuck paying for the pricy lead. It doesn't seem like they vet leads well because sometimes you will receive a duplicate lead.

Great team of folks. I had a last minute move that was rescheduled multiple times because I didn't get a clear to close. The day I got the clear to close, I had to vacate my apartment the same day. Dan was able to save the day by getting a truck to me in an hour. His team worked to get my apartment moved out of and into my home all in the SAME DAY!. All of my items were packed, moved and unpacked without damage and none of the items were missing. The moving team was super professional, nice and understanding to the rushed nature of the move. This is the 3rd time I've moved White Glove moving and I highly recommend them.

We have not been disappointed with anyone we have used that was listed with Angi. All have proved to be reliable. If we need a service performed and do not have anyone we have used before we always start with Angi. It has worked well for us.

I was scheduled to have someone come out to clean my apartment on the 27th. After waiting for an hour, I reached out to the main office. I was assured that I would have some one there 48 hrs. Later.

48hrs have passed and once again, another no show. I will never use this service ever again. I will search for another service and hope that this firm goes bankrupt.

We needed an electrician to remove a ceiling fan and install a new chandelier and dimmer switch. We had been waiting months for our regular electrician. I decided to try Angi and found Mallozzi Electric. I called them today and they had an opening this afternoon! Gary came on time and did a great job! We have our light fixture installed and we have a new electrician. Thanks, Angi!

This is the second time I tried to use this service. Booked an appointment, made work arrangements to be told my professional canceled. When I call to cancel the service, they charged my 25.00 for cancelation, even though they had nobody to do the job in the time slot I booked. Never again. I will be disputing the credit card charge when it comes. What a SCAM!

Contacted Muscle Landscape Irrigation and Tree Service LLC for a quote due to our irrigation having problems after new pool build, Such a prompt response and disposition. Our sod was in bad shape due to lack of water and they really exceeded our expectations with prompt service getting our irrigation back in service. Would recommend 100%

SIBER Contracting did a Great job remodeling my kitchen. It looks amazing, everything works as it should, and they finished when they said they would.
I couldn't be happier with my choice for a contractor.

They give false leads. Once they got your credit card the only way to stop making payments is to contact your credit card company and stop the card all together. Angi locks the credit card and you cannot stop them from taking money. More than 50% of the leads they give are fake. Opportunities is suppose to mean that the client picks you, but the clients all said they didn't pick us. Angi is picking us. Fake leads.

Today was my first day of having a housekeeper and I was Holly Watson's first client since moving here from San Diagonal. She came early so we could talk. Then asked to see what I wanted cleaned. She started right away and she did such a great job in every room. She is friendly and very thorough in her work. She did cleaning above and beyond my expectations! She is an on time person snd very great at her cleanings. I recommend her highly! Thsnk you Holly Watson for such a great job well done!

Set appointment 2 weeks ago for a deep clean of my condo
Got a 20 something girl who was 40 minutes late -she came with a bucket 2 roils of paper towels and a spray bottle-I was quoted a price of 250 dollars. The so called cleaner told Me that I had bad attitude-closed her car window on me and drove off-

Got my review written and pictures added... couldn't get it to post without signing in. I didn't remember I had an Angi's account... had to reset password. By the time I worked through that, and returned to the review, it wouldn't let me submit that one so I had to start over. Annoying. Could have been avoided if you had asked for my credentials first instead of last.

He showed up on time. But he didn't fix the mower, he told me what was wrong with it. He did leave to go look for it that's what he said,but couldn't find it. Told me I had to order it. You can get your brother to put it on for you.

Quote and switch prices. Charged for a membership I specifically told them I did not want but they will not refund - will only offer a credit for next job through them. There will never be another job with them! Charged for a professional but sent a handyman - an admission made by the handyman himself. I was quoted a price for an electrician and a lesser cost for handyman - I chose electrician for the higher cost yet received handyman. Scamming untrustworthy company which should be looked into.

They were professional, organized and clean. They were on time and finished before they predicted. The remodeled my whole family room. I removed everything to studs. It came out beautiful! I love it!
I would recommend them to everyone. It was the easiest project I ever did. I plan on using them again.

Don't ever sign up for this company, they don't care if scammers try to screw you over, been trying to cancel for over 2 months now. READ the contract, it was supposed to be 15% on top of the original fee every month if you closed the account early. FIRST they changed my client success manager, SECOND almost got scammed by a guy writing fake checks. EMAILED the so called client success manager it was USELESS. I emailed her 7 TIMES. No response, gave them a different number to call and they never called me. Then I called again and they told me that it would be around $1000 something to QUIT. It's sketchy they only are good at taking your money! They have no problem leaving someone without any money to pay their bills! Now, I know why it's not called Angie's List it's just Angis now. I wonder what happened for them to change their name.

In order to use their site, you have to provide personal contact info. Once you do so, you will be inundated with phone calls and unwanted emails within hours. They will be for services you don't need/want and will have nothig to do with your original inquiry. Once they have your info, there is no way to delete your account and related information from Angies List. Avoid this company like the plague!
