Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
Entered a project, but never asked for any quotes. Then the calls started because Angi gave people my info. Supposedly they do background checks. REALLY? The main person calling was from a nearby town. A quick internet search turned up felony convictions for Assault and Assault with a Deadly Weapon. This is who Angi wanted to send to our home. Deleted the app and blocked them. Angi telemarketers will not stop calling. RIDICULOUS AND DANGEROUS!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from Angi!

Hired a company called extra hands to do landscaping for us first we are charges $470 they were here 15 minutes the first time then rescheduled for two weeks later because they were going on vacation came at 7:30 pm stayed 15 minutes by this time I just wanted to forget the whole thing they show up the next week and did such a horrible job I tried calling the company and I got hung up on and bonus they left the weeds for US to pick up off the ground I am extremely dissatisfied and want our money back but I think I've now been blocked do NOT trust or work with these people my husband is handicapped and me being a woman that's a more softer side my husband and I think they took advantage of us seeing our situation... shame on them
Tip for consumers:
Ask for pictures and other satisfied customer reviews before hiring there won't be any
I do work on larger commercial and industrial projects and was told repeatedly that they get that kid of work all the time. I told them what I do. I do large scale jobs like all the steel beams in a Costco and the send me leads (that I am FORCED to pay for) to drive 100+ miles to weld a guys coffee grinder handle back on. It costs hundreds of dollars just to moralize, let alone travel and work. That job would work out to close to $800 and still a waist of my time and resources, and a new coffee grinder is $20.
If you aren't a small time residential contractor, don't waist you time and money. It's a scam.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t.

It’s not a tangible product. It’s a service. This is a dumb question.
After some of my clients add a very positive review of my services, AngiesList contacted me and offered 1 of 4 spots on certain service areas and calling center. But shortly after I signed up, my listing went to 10th and soon 20th. Iy was in the first page, but it was sorted so many ways, paid and unpaid companies are all listed. Paying over $300 a month has no advantage over unpaid companies. I have called and cancelled my listing but hit with early termination fees. I have given misleading information and promises that was totally wrong.
I canceled my Pro service with Angi yesterday. I had way too many problems with Angi's service that they provide me with. It's poorly set up as an information giving format and has had too many reports against it reported as spam which makes my phone see it as spam and not notify me because of that in the beginning. After 4 attempts to straighten it out with Angi support, they were unable to provide me with a service that allowed me to effectively contact clients, I canceled the entire service. I was denied my full refund that they promised me because I did not call every lead within an hour of receiving them. Which was hard to do with all the problems the system gave me and I'm just not going to call someone that gives me a lead at 1:18am within an hour. Thats stupid to expect that kind of service. For any business. I'm really disappointed in the Angi promises I was given and then they didn't honor.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use Angi as a Pro contractor
First call was to a recommended contractor and found out his estimate would be &150? Secoind call never showed up. Third call said job wasn't big enough and he wasn't interested. I wouldn't recommend Angie to repair a small dog house!
MGS recently remodeled our master bathroom in Leesburg. Chris, his wife and his crew were very professional and a pleasure to work with. We drew a sketch of what we'd like the bathroom to look like. Using that sketch and from conversations with Chris, he created the exact master bathroom that we envisioned. He converted a late 90's style room with a large Jacuzzi tub into a spa-like room with a large walk-in shower. We worked with Chris and his team on selecting the exact materials we wanted. The project came in within budget. We highly recommend MGS to anyone who is searching for a remodeling contractor. (In fact, after seeing our master bath, our neighbors selected MGS as their contractor)
Angies List is charging you for leads that aren't really leads. I had a business call my business that did the same work I do to ask if they could come do my job? I had to turn off my leads because customers were looking for tv repair. My business is to professionally clean and a customers are leaving non working numbers so I am paying for leads that don't lead anywhere bu to bankruptcy.
I have scheduled 4x with them. First "pro" came out to say "it's too hot" and that also will send a quote by end of day. They neither sent quote or responded to text/phone call. The owner of business reached out said she would call back and didnt. Rescheduled with a different "pro," He cancelled due to "emergency." Rescheduled again, got the same pro that cancelled who once again said he couldn't do the job. Called Angi directly who said all they could do was just take him off the listing and wait for another pro. I asked them if they could contact the pros directly to make sure whoever signs up actually will show up given the previous history, but they don't do that. Will never book with these guys again
SMALL BUSINESSES BEWARE - Angie's List is the worst lead service we have ever engaged in. We pay $1000 per month to essentially get a hand full of leads. ON TOP OF THAT - they provide those leads to other companies aware. While I understand this is a common practice for these type of leads, it should not be the case when you are paying over $100 per lead.
My boss used angilist in 2015 and stopped using in 2016.
Last month, he got a phone call from someone at Angi asking what other services he provides. He thought nothing of it. Right after that phone call, he started receiving emails and texts with leads. He never click on the leads because he didn't want to use service. He never told them he wanted to start using with them again, nothing was agreed-upon nothing was signed no verbal commitment that he wanted to service again. A month later, he received phone call from them saying you owe us over $1,000.
I called to discuss and they told me because we did not call and cancel the service in 2016 we still had the service. What BS! This is a total scam and they're insisting we owe them the money. I spoke to three people and now waiting for a callback which I'm sure I'll never receive. They said well in the notes… I said show me the notes oh we can't do that. Fraud and scammers!
They completely transformed our Vashon Island house. Carlos' suggestions were spot-on, and the crew did a quality job in a timely manner--including repairs of ant-infested HardiePlank siding and hardwood rot where a downspout had failed. They even refreshed and refinished our wood-finished porch ceilings. I highly recommend this company.
I hired a contractor through Angi to do some drywall and painting. Their estimate indicated that two coats of paint would be used. The drywall job was messy and an eyesore. They only applied one coat. They did not use drop cloths resulting in paint all over the new garage floor. An outdoor chair now has paint splatters. I needed to hire another painter to fix the damage and add another coat of paint for an additional $1900.00. From now on I will hire BBB recommended contractors!
Steve contacted us quickly and came out on time. He did a great job, he was prompt, professional and had quality equipment. Will definitely be using him again!

I had an appointment scheduled for electrical work yesterday, and the contractor never showed up. I called the Angi customer service line, and they apologized and worked with me to reschedule, offering a $10 discount for my inconvenience. While that hardly covered my time of taking off of work for the scheduled appointment at 1pm that day. The work was scheduled with a different contractor for tomorrow; however, today I was charged for the service. I called customer service once again, and she informed me that 30 minutes after the initially scheduled service time ended, it auto charges my account. This happened even though they knew the service hadn't been completed! Now I will be refunded, but it will take 3-5 days. Needless to say, I canceled the service request for tomorrow. I have no desire to get billed a second time and have no faith in this service.
Had my 4 dinette chairs re covered by Assis reupholsterers they came out beautiful and the price was very reasonable.Other upholsterers said it couldn't be done but Assis looked at them and said he could do it. I am so happy with his work.plus I enjoyed the fresh mangoes he gave me.
For MONTHS now (4+) our company has been unable to get assistance or even a RESPONSE from their customer service reps. We have been assigned new client success managers more times than I can count, and can never get anyone to resolve our issues.
They called our Business at least once a week for months trying to get us to sign a contract with them, and doing so was the worst decision we could've made. As soon as they had their money and contract they have completely ghosted us. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY SERVICE PROVIDERS. We just were charged for our account today but STILL can't get a simple email or call back regarding our account questions.
Contractor did a great job. Prompt, professional, great price. THIS review is of the Angi app in rural areas. We have rural low speed internet and cell coverage, and he couldn't contact me on the Angi app link, and I couldn't submit a review or contact him on the Angi app on my smart phone-- we texted after he sent me his direct number; the link did not even work, I was signed in to Angi but the App kept saying I was not, or that my email was not registered, and I could not save my review (I entered it twice). I'd open the link in the email the Angi app sent me, and it'd say I didn't have an account or the link would not work. I gave up, was able to complete the review at work where I have high speed internet. But I am not prone to use Angi when it will not function 4 miles away at home where the internet is s l o w and cell phones have only 1 or 2 bars.

Alan Kanelopoulos - Want a great company. I called them and said my AC was not working and Soto said he would get to me around 3:30. They was here at 3:33. The tic was name Rick he came in and started to work and find the problem in 15 minutes. The owner came out to see how its was going. Soto the owner started to help Rick do the job. I will use them again and I will ask for Rick. It say a lot about a company when the owner shows up. There price was great. Its was nice to see them come in van with supplys in there van. The van had there names on them. When Rick was cleaning up Soto took time to show me the bad part. Again they are a five star company to me.
Had Mike give me a call. He came over and gavebme an estimate explaining everything he was going to do. He and his son Allen came and took apart the casings around 14 window and all had No Insulation. They put insulation in, put back casings, caulked and painted all. They were both very professional and keep me up to date on all. Felt very comfortable with both in my house. In fact I'm hiring them to do another job. Would highly recommend them to anyone. When they started work they never stopped till time to leave. Before they would leave they would clean up and you would never know that anyone was ever there.
On April 6th, 2020, I told angies list to cancel my account... they responded with... I've attached this email to your account and made a separate note that you would not like to renew come the end of the contract. They renewed my contract come Febuary. I called march 1st. Since then nobody will talk to me. Not even my reps boss or my reps bosses boss. Nobody will answer my emails, voicemails, or phone calls. I emailed them today letting them know I will contact my bank since nobody will talk to me. I called the bank and they said they charge me over $1200 today. I am disputing with my bank right now but I would never recommend doing business with these crooks.
I asked for some small gutter installation and all angi sent was preditory gutter companies ie leaf guard and he just showed up like he had an appointment. I had told them 2 times on the phone not to COME TO MY HOUSE. I guess its my own fault for trusting this web site never again. If i could i would give a minus rating!
I Contracted with Angi for electrical work. The "pro" came out 4 hours late, worked for 1.5 hours then disappeared for 1.5 hours. The "pro" worked 30 more minutes then advised his time was up. Outlets wer pulled out of the walls, wires exposed and then he stated he would return the bext day to finish the job. The "pro" never returned. I ended up hiring someone myself, to get the job done.
I signed up for the membership, because I was looking for our home to be cleaned on a monthly basis. I booked for a Saturday morning and the person cancelled 30 minutes prior to the time they were supposed to be at our home. I booked again for the following week and the cleaning service never showed up. Angi's said they have a 30 minute window. Well I waited 40 minutes and they never showed up. I was not able to get a hold of the service that was actually supposed to come and clean. Thank God I wasn't having a dinner party on either of those days. Asked for a refund for my membership.

Angie's list requires one to sign a contract that they can deduct their fee forever unless you remember to cancel. And, they give very specific information about canceling, including by what time of day you can cancel, and the date. The part that I was particularly appalled about was that you agree that even if you cancel the credit card that you gave them to take money from, they have the right to use a service that will find out your new or other credit cards and that you agree that they can continue deducting money from your account.
Ever since I lost >$2000 from one of these "noncancelable" memberships, I will never sign up to anything that self-renews.
The contract they have you sign is very long and complex and includese fees of at least $10,000 if you don't follow their instructions exactly about telling someone about their information.
It may be legal, but I want nothing to do with it.
