Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
I would recommend this service to anyone who asked. They also have a great pricing range, it is affordable and all around great service. They were very prompt with their service. It took less than 48 hours to complete. It was really enjoyable using them and they are true to their word. They are really reliable, and if there is any problems customer support is basically 24/7. I have nothing bad to say about the company. They have a great pricing range as well as the fact depending on the circumstance they can be flexible.
I used Ang's for 4 or 5 service requests. Either no one responded or when they did the quotes were so high. Had a tree trimmer show up unexpectedly when I asked him specifically to come another day. He was very unprofessional. Pulled up in an old pick up truck with his girlfriend and what looked to be an x-con. I told him what I needed done but he pushed me into having more work done and escalated the price $150 over what I said I could pay. I am currently in a battle with a gutter company that flat out lied to me. Not going to use Angi's again and will not recommend them.
Phillip did an excellent job with my
External and internal projects for my property. His Communication was on point. The project was done in a timely manner. I will definitely I recommend his service to friends and family.
Hired a 'pro' and this is what i got. This site should be shut down. They are the worst contractors I've ever seen. This was their last shot and they failed. Time and time again I have hired pro's of these sites and spent thousands just to have it all redone. F.y.i home advisor is owned by angi so don't think it's any better.tried it didn't work. This pro left my home covered in dust and debris from the room to the front door. As you can see in the last pictures. True professionals would never leave a clients home like this.i was told when it turns white to go ahead and sand it smooth. Didn't know customers had to finish the jobs. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT HIRE ANYONE FROM THESE SITES.I was not home when work was done.
Tip for consumers:
That they promote hacks.
The experience was great. The crew knew exactly what they were doing and if we ever needed window replacements again, we will call Angie! We love our windows and they did a fabulous job! Thank you so much!
I have been working with Angie's list since they first began penetrating the NY Market. It is perhaps one of the better lead generations companies. The cost has steadily been rising each year since I began. They explain to me that cost directly corresponds to the number of members it has. I am strongly considering not renewing my contract for the 2018 season. So is it worth it? Yes if you can afford it.
I used a contractor off of Angi. He did the work but even though I had paid on Angi, he also collected payment. I called and they were to contact him. I cancelled my membership. Since I did that they have done nothing about this. Now I am sent to another department who has to contact me. Don't use this list.

Cleaned my home on April 23 2023. Angi recommended this company.
Excellent work. Very professional and pleasing to work with.
I will definitely have them back to clean again.
Thanks so much.
Denise
I don't even have an Angie account to my knowledge, and someone posted a negative review in my name next to my positive review. I sent a message to Angie, since there is no phone number to call unless you pay to be a Gold Member of Angie. No one responded to my message and the spam reviews in my name are still up on their site. I have had friends who have used Angie and said they had terrible service recommendations and Angie is just a money machine and doesn't care about customer quality referrals.
P & A Landscaping company contacted me regarding leaf vacuum cleanup. They gave me a price to which Rhonda Peck received $350. I believe I have just been scammed by this pro. The crewmen never showed up and now three piles of leaves as of today November 17,2022, are still in my front yard.
What can be done about this? This is not good for Angie.
Angie's List staff ought to confirm that the businesses that are listed will respond. Actually, I think AL should require business to provide some sort of response if they want to be listed. Business must be so good that the 3 companies that AL provided did not respond to email, online request, text, or phone messages. To be fair, I tried several times over a two week period even asking that if they are not interested to simply let me know so I can stop wasting my time. It's nice that AL provides the listing but at this rate AL is no better than a simple Google search. I was expected a higher level of professionalism with companies that have gone through the trouble and expense of getting listed with AL. So far, I'm extremely disappointed in the businesses and Angie's List.
Set dates for my repair 3 times no one ever showed up, these people are the worst bunch of idiots I have ever dealt with! They couldn't be trusted for building a dog house. I will never contact them again and would advise you do the same!

Responsive to customer's needs. Excellent clean-up. Left exterior and interior paint so customer could touch up once things dried. Excellent communication all the way around. Would use Navarros Handyman Services again.
Peacock Painting has a more than Superior painter working for them. Sean Brann painted our high walls, and low baseboard trim over the last two days. Each day he patched holes with putty and sanded all surfaces before painting, His expertise was evidenced by the finished product…
Be careful with the contractors they provided. Most of them are very good and professional. But I do have one contractor doesn't fix the problem and cause a bigger damage, then disappeared. Angi does not give me his information so I can't bring him to court.
After calling 4 companys for a quote, the earliest one would even give an estimate was 1 month. Work could be done after xmas! Went online to Angie's list and was contacted wiithin 1/2 hr by New Horizons Roofing.
Not only did Alan come out that day for an estimate, but gave me a date within 3 weeks. Job was done in 1 day. All debris cleaned up. Happy with the price as well.

This is the best cleaning company ever they did such a wonderful job cleaning my house so I could put it on the market for sale. The owner of the company is very pleasant, sweet and nice. She is very prompt and are prices are reasonable. If you need your home clean give her a call.
The quality and number of leads for the California Market has lead in the last two years to 80 per cent decline in our business with over 215 reviews. Home Advisor now has a hand in poaching a lot of our inquiring customers. Paying over 500.00 a month because we are under contract has be an arduous task. We have lost all of personnel except one. Don't cross collections department or you will have as they say consequences. It has been a struggle to pay the remaining part of the contract but we will because it would affect our credit. Think long and hard before considering third part aggregates(Angies, Houzz, Thumbtack) to create business. Use Yelp, next door and more organic types of advertising like local newspapers. Make customers happy and ask them to refer you to their friends and family.
Here's how I found out that reviews are only good ones. I was going to leave a negative review and the agreement to leave it is they give the contractor ALL of your contact information, e-mail, phone, etc. I get a name, to confirm that you had the work done, but everything else could be dangerous. I did not post my negative review. I think many others are scared off too. I have tried several times to locate contractors in my area and either I am told they can't find any, they send me someone with the wrong skills, or provide a name of someone who never contacts me. Perhaps Angies works better in big cities than in rural areas.
Angi leads is a horrible company to with. We had 12 leads our first 6 months and only 4 were within 100 miles of our area. Of those 4…. NONE …. Were if any quality. If you do get hustled into this scam I feel bad for you. Our contact or helper was Melissa Eads, completely useless to any cause other than to mention her "11" years experience… blah blah … no advice or help just double talk. Good luck people… take it for what it's worth.

Angi provides an extensive list of household projects. I appreciate how the company has a system in place to verify all companies and individuals who submit their names for various household projects.
These people will not stop calling my personal and business number. They call both my numbers everyday numerous times. It's now become harassment! I tell them nicely "no, I do not want your service" and they still continue to call me over and over non stop. I once was considering their service and they asked me for my credit card number just so they could make sure I was serious about their service. (This is what I was told by them) Within an hour they charged me over $300.00 for no reason. As soon as I seen this I called them back and asked why they took money and they said it was a mistake. I took me days to get a refund. And now a year later they harass me by calling me numerous times daily on both my phone numbers. Stay away from these people! This is a huge scam! They don't care about you. They just want to take your money!
My wife and I are older people, just moving into a home near our grandkids. We wanted to do some minor redecorating. Looking to update the kitchen eating area with wallpaper. Angi's wallpaper installer arrived with no glue. Instead he used Kill-Z paint to apply the wallpaper. I did not "know," until after an hour when I checked on the job. The wallpaper was not even remotely matched. Paint was everywhere - on the floor, the table, our ladder, the carpet. He tried to clean up for about an hour, actually made it worse. Angi initially offered a coupon on future jobs. Finally refunded my money, but nothing else. Refuses to discuss or engage me in any way.
Tip for consumers:
I cannot imagine a reason to use this site for any service provider, ever, given the way Angi does not stand behind its reputation.
Not what it use to be. Disappointing.
Angie's list was good in the very beginning. Now it is not.
1. This service doesn't seem to screen contractors for quality or certified service. Basically anybody can enter their info as a contractor.
2. They widespread your contact information (compliance with privacy?). Then you will continue to receive lots of call for several days even after the repair was taken care of. Very annoying.
3. Some contractors' rates are outrageous. Example, minimum charge for a visit and trouble shooting from Fireplace 911 is $299. So if the troubleshoot is to change a switch, yes, I will have to pay $299.
I would not recommend this service. I will not use it again
Angi's subscription is inexpensive, so you can get your money back and more in one referral. But their search function is poor -- it's impossible to just look up a company, and I often can't find a suitable company because they only allow you to search pre-determined tasks. I also don't like that their algorithm recommends vendors over an hour away. Start by limiting the search to companies that are within 5 miles of home. Then ignore their aggressive marketing of companies that pay them fees. Companies listed lower down with a 4.6 average of many ratings are a good bet.
