Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
I am a contractor that paid Angie's List several years ago. I cancelled because of their poor customer service and shark-like sales people. No empathy.
After several years, I decided to try them again. They promised that they have made changes and that they have fixed the problems. LIES! NOT TRUE!
Now, I'm locked into a 12 month contract at $600 a month. 35% cancellation fee!
Their salesman put my ads in the wrong counties and cannot fix that problem for a month.
STAY AWAY FROM ANGIE!
Angie dumped on me. Angie (Angie's List) might be the least likely to help you out of horrible, nasty contractor like The Smiling Plunger. He spilled glue on my linoleum and covered it with the bath mat. Gluing it to the floor in one spot. Leaving an ugly brown stain unremovable in the linoleum, and leaving a hole in the dry wall that doesn't look professional. Angi who collects money from contractors to to put on their list,(1.69 billion U.S. dollars), does nothing to help the customer. Using Angie is one click away from a bad contractor with no help from them. Cost to replace inlet water line, $500.00. Nothing has been done since I wrote a review 7 months ago.
Tip for consumers:
That there’s Trickery here. Angie is totally a scam.
Not so great. I had a subscription for 1 year, did not renew. Did not find it to be worth paying for.
Pros:
1) It let me vent about a really bad experience with an HVAC company.
2) There are some decent reviews in the area of home repair/improvement. For some things I could at least identify who not to go to.
Con's:
1) They run ads, sometimes from businesses that look like they're on the lousy end of the scale (conflict of interest?)
2) Screening issues: some reviews look like they're written by friends and family of the owner.
3) For things other than home improvement/repairs stuff, I found the listings pretty thin.
4) They're spamming me to write reviews for outfits I only looked at briefly on their web site and never contacted. It seems they're desperate for real data. (And, I've told them this -> now they're sending me discount offers, daily).
Angi's is a fraud both ways. When my husband signed up he received 10 links to send to friends and family to write fake positive reviews. Now that he is on, it's been 2 weeks and he has not made a penny. He paid $450 a month for leads. All the leads led to nothing. It's a yearly contract and we can't get out of it. Currently disputing with cc company. Stay away!

For a site that "prides"(definitely not) themselves on reviews of business, they promote fraudulence at ever opportunity. As long as there are reviews, they do not care if it is other contractors trying to spread rumors or actual true customers. Even when there is proof of this, they will do nothing. Companies can pay for a better rating which makes the whole site completely meaningless. Overpriced, shady as all, and could give 2 ----- about anyone except their bottom line.
Angi leads/Home advisor Totally bogus. Scam people, That is why they have to keep changing their name. Because of the bad reputation they get. Got me for $600 maybe more. Put me in financial hardship. They lie. Don't explain that the leads they give you cost to even look at them. Take money right out of your account if you just look at it. I got no gobs at all. But was charged up the Yang Yang. I don't know why they can get away with such dishonesty. Why isn't what they do illegal? It's a scam.! Scamming hard working small business and contractors. Most of the leads are fake. The way they operate is dirty. Don't fall for it, like I did.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t believe their lies.
Logan Briggs, was a con artist taking of advantage of seniors in our community by not using up to code materials and not replacing original off ridge vents and used fake ridge vents. Wrong color, no code materials and now my house in more humid than ever. Angi owns Total Home Roofing, a multi million dollar scam company. Read reviews on any site. If Angi is attached. RUN high prices, out of state workers, poor quality, $#*! on seniors.

I engaged a "contractor" from A-List only to find that he was terribly inappropriate and unskilled. 4 months later the curtain rod he installed fell down - and getting to customer service to provide some valuable insight - I couldn't understand the person on the other end as their call centre is in the Philippines. I'm all for outsourcing but at the very least let them be skilled. It was a terrible experience. Credibility is questionable.
I am a small family business that has been shut down up till the beginning of this year due to covid. So I've been back to work and decided I needed to do some advertising I spoke with Angie's list and was 100% completely misled and lied to by their sales team and then and then put under contract and not allowed to break it without paying $1800. I will admit my guard was down but not anymore just want to warn other contractors they are liars and thieves spend your money somewhere else.
Garbage company that gives false leads and then argues about the refund, I'm a small flooring contractor that can't afford 2 out of 10 return phone calls then get charged crazy amounts for all 10! They feed you lines of BS and promising 75-80%return, scam from the start. I sell all of my personal jobs but somehow Angi sends them I can't close but 20%? Fake leads that don't call back or intend to have work done. That's not a lead that's a scam!
Our gas oven kept having trouble lighting and would fill the first floor with gas before eventually turning on. It took me a while to find a company that would service Bosch appliances that I either hadn't bought from them and was no longer under warranty. Landers Appliance was very helpful and professional, even from my first phone call. They were able to schedule us within a day or two of my call and had a flat fee for sending someone out, plus the cost of repairs. The company texted me 15 minutes before the appointment to let me know he was actually on his way. Bill arrived on time and was friendly and professional and worked quickly and efficiently. Our oven is now working great!
I'm tired of writing this. And reviews mysteriously vanish. All they care about is getting new business. They don't even know what happened with past projects. Whether they were even completed or not. They responded 1 rime when I told them my project was Incomplete after trying with a 2nd so-called "Pro" A d they said nothing, bc they didn't know. They didn't even know my project number! Yet, when I mistakenly put in a request for a new project, I have received at least 30 calls, texts and/or emails between ANGI and the Handyman! Just got a VM last night from BEN!

Large gap left in gutter with bird nest causing backup. When called, fixed, but want to charge additional $350 to fix other gutter in original job that leaks badly at elbow. They created the issue with downspout too close to the ground so elbow cannot connect correctly. Water came into my basement. Would not hire.
Useless. Worthless. I have been trying to unsubscribe from this crap company's emails but still keep receiving them daily. I tried the 'contact us' link on their page which bought me to a page that said it didn't exist. Then i was redirected to sign in. Really?
Also want to mention that since i made the mistake of creating an account on their site, which i HAD to do in order to see any kind of company reviews, my spam has doubled. Now this could be a coincidence... but clearly this company is shady so I wouldn't doubt if they sold their emails. Only reason i gave it 1 star is because I had in order to submit the review
STAY AWAY
RC Renovations did an excellent job with painting, replacing light fixtures and switches with LED Lights. He showed great attention to detail and clearly takes pride in his work, regularly going above and beyond to make everything look nice & finished. He was also able to make recommendations and choices when I wasn't sure what would be best. I am thrilled with the results!
First One. Usually had my only sources for contractors. But I was well aware of Angi Services and they proved to be a good source, especially their phone call from Denver office to make sure everything was taken care of. That phone call really made the difference.
If i could do 0 stars i would! They steal your money! Will send dead leads and charge $200 for it! They DO NOT reimburse your money back either, just credit you for more dead leads. I have been charged about $2k in a month! Tried to cancel and they still want to bill $500 more dollars. Save the hassle do not go with them!
I requested a list for appliance repairs and was called by "Angie Services" although I did not request a quote from them. They called me and I booked an appointment but I was not happy with the price. Within 10 minutes of making my booking I decided to cancel. The phone number for the them didn't work. I sent a text to cancel and got an email address to contact. Bottom line I finally sent an email at 0855 to cancel a 9:00 appointment for the following day and received confirmation at 9:08 with the stipulation I was being charged a $15.00 cancellation fee since it was within 24 hours. A total con if you ask me. I would recommend avoiding this service. I received a much better quote from of the individual contractors.
Just a giant scam, they take money hand over fist. And tell you this is the going rate. You can't disagree, and it's their way or the highway. Terrible service for small businesses trying to take off. The return is horrible for what you put out. While claiming it's the service area you opted into. Do the advertising yourself, you'll get a much better return.

Find somewhere else, you’ll regret going here.
We recently had our carpets cleaned, about 500sqft. Tom did an excellent job and I highly recommend this company. I will use them again. He cleaned 17 chairs, 2 recliners, 2 sets of stairs, hallways and landings. Also the large rug under our dining room table. Our children had bee renting our basement with their 3 toddlers. The chairs were covered in food and spilled drinks.Tom used his special citrus cleaner and the chairs look almost new. Our dining chairs look amazing, I didn't realize just how dirty they were. GREAT JOB TOM!

"Manual Renew" is what it says on my Account Mgt page, but in fact it's automatically renewed. You find out when you see it on your credit card statement, at which point Angie's List customer service says it's too late to undo. Who are these people?
Was very happy overall! Filled out forms that led to a couple calls from interested contractors. Got quotes and ended up soliciting business from one of them and the work was completed above my expectations. Clean, nice, good price and very professional. Very pleased about the whole process from beginning to the end.
I'm a contractor who got nothing but 5 star reviews. I've been the victim of scams that did less damage to my bank account than Angi. They provided me with %50 flaky leads for sometimes $40 per lead. Because I'm proud of my work I rarely charge more than $100 (locksmith work). When I'm getting charged $40 (+ $300 membership fee) for a job that I have a %33 chance of contracting that I only charge $100 to complete it doesn't take long to realize how much of a pox this service is for my business. Good luck & good riddance Angi. I wouldn't recommend your service to anyone.

Do really terrible work under a false name and charge way too much money.

Positive experience with regards to timeliness of delivery, and flexibility when I got laid off for missing work while in quarantine for having Covid. They could have froze me out this winter but rather worked out payments and continued to deliver.
Terrible! No way should anyone be forced to create an account to post a review of a job! Submitting name. Address and email should more than suffice gif verification! I've lost any faith I had in Angi's list because of this
