Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
Had a basketball hoop assembled by two Angi "Pros". It put together incorrectly and this was not clear by the way it looked. It wasn't until later that day a family member pointed it out. This poses an imminent safety risk to children and the risk of it falling on my home. Angi could only schedule disassembly four days later meaning my children could not play outside. Angi will also not reimburse me for the tip I generously gave the initial pros. If they had a tipping system online this could be tracked. What a waste of time and money. I will not be using Angi again.
When I signed up there was no fee. I live in a rural area and I agree, more reviewers are needed. In my area, handy men are always too busy to do the work or you can't find any. Geez, i thought times were hard!
I think the concept is a good one but am ignorant of fee.
We definitely need all the end-user reviews and recommendations we can pull together.
Stay away from this business! I was suckered into there $100 membership, I never used the service because I was very busy. But 2 months later when looking at my credit card statement online I found 5 charges totalling 1,800 dollars, I was pissed so I called for refund and they flat out refused. Said they don't give credit just more leads! The he'll with this business. SCAM!
Tip for consumers:
Don't fall for the 100 dollar membership, that's how they get your credit card number then charge you for less even if you don't use the service! Horrible experience

Anthony and his crew did a fantastic job extending our patio. Anthony is very professional and his work shows he takes pride in what he does. He answers any question you may have and is reasonably priced. We recommend Quality 1 for your concrete needs. We are very pleased with the outcome. Thank you Anthony.
They were very shady. They would not give price of a tune up over the phone. When they came they said 225.00 and I said well with the coupon online and he said oh that includes the discount. I said no that is not what you told me. Your price is 225. Minus the 75.00 discount is my price... then he said I had to pay cash. I said nowhere on the website does it say the 75 off was only with paying cash. They said they don't take cards.
I said well what do I have proof of your work... he said we give you a receipt. It was blank... no company or anything g on the receipt but a phone number. I was NOT IMPRESSED with this companies work or attitude. He was done in under 10 minutes. When I asked if he could open up and show me what he had done he was annoyed... I'm not sorry... what did I pay you 150 for 10 minutes work to do? I have a right to know... could not of cared less... beware of this company
Had new gutters and cover guards installed on 2 level home and 2 outbuildings. Sales rep was very informative and professional in explaining the product pros and cons. Pricing was reasonable. Installation crew arrived as scheduled and no problems during installation. All done in one day. Crew cleaned site and left it the way it was when they arrived. Company highly recommended.
Quick response when I called for an estimate to trim or remove about 10 trees. The owner, Jesse Morgan, volunteered proof of current license and insurance. I thought that was very professional, since I usually have to ask for both. At the time of the estimate, he provided valuable insight on several projects we were thinking about. He also advised on trimming vs. removing trees that were close to the house, whether we could save some older trees that had fungus, and reminded us of a safety hazard we had forgotten about (a tree that grown into telephone wires). When he and his crew returned to do the work, they removed 5 trees. It was fast and thorough, including cleanup. We would use All American Tree Service again and would recommend to anyone. Even though we found him because of a flyer rather than through Angi, we use Angi enough that I wanted to post here as well as on google.
I've been an Angi's customer since the old days when access cost $60 a year. Then, I could easily read about any vendor you had on file and then phone those that seemed the best fit. Sadly, that chanced a few years ago. Now, I'm forced to endure you making the selection. The only way I can read about a vendor is if I already know the name. To me, this is poor customer service. I've been told that those you recommend have paid you for that recommendation. What happened to the company that put the public 1st? I've given you 4 stars for successful past support (when I could be more independent). Today, my experience is merely entering reviews for those I've identified outside of Angi's.
Now, I google a vendor and hope for the best as I can no longer easily get this information from you. I often feel this loss.
Tried booking a appointment couldn't even get the right kind of professional for the job need a locksmith. Sends a link for ADT alarm installation Company want credit card info so they can enroll you in affirm payment scam.
You people set an appt. And they never showed up...
Horrible company with CRAP results. I get a call at 8 am Sunday morning for a 3 pm appointment... woke me up, then didn't show. Your company is CRAP.

Absolutely horrific. Save yourself a huge headache and do not do business with them. I have been cancelled on 3 times, all the night before. Never in person, only by text. I've continued to take days off work only to have no one show up. Angi tells me to contact the sub contractor and the sub contractor tells me to contact Angi reps. Neither one is at all helpful and they all shuffle the blame back and forth. I will never again do business with them or Lowes
Angi recommended we contact J. D. F. Services to help in fixing up our rear decking. After having searched on my own and having two contractors back out of their commitment at the last minute, Jack Fuse was a professional owner of this business and did exactly what he said he would do. He called back when asked to, he priced the work at a very reasonable rate, he not only showed up on time, he called to see if he could get started two days early. Jack and his crew were hard workers taking the time to do the job right and asking what we needed to be done and were finished in one day.
I would hire Jack again without any hesitation. Thank you Jack.
Needed to hire Lawn Care Service to take care of my mother's yard. By the fourth time mowed I'd already hired 3 different Lawn Care Services from Angi.
All 3 were apparently Certified by Angi. Now have 4th guy, not hired from Angi app. He was miles ahead of Angi's recommendations when he just showed up 2 and then 3 times. WOW! He comes every 2 weeks! I never even have to call him. He's actually, like a real business!

We joined as contractors months ago and have only been getting fake leads - this company is a scamm. They charge $200+ per lead and they are all fake, I think they send them on their own.
Their system of Credit Back doesn't work, they will rarely crediit you for the leads that don't exist.
Waste of money! Stay away! Adding a screenshot of our statement, the crazy amounts they charge.
Tip for consumers:
as contractors, do not use this site, it's a scamm
I've used HC several times for various unrelated garage door issues. They are prompt, professional and very reasonable in what they charge. I will continue to use Hollywood Crawford and recommend to my my friends and neighbors
I called Angi to get a pro to install a Ring floodlight camera where there was a regular floodlight already installed. A HUGE MISTAKE. I should have known when the guy showed up with flip flops on he was not a pro. Please don't use Angi because they do not stand behind their work. Attached is what the guy left after charging me $118 and telling me that Angi had changed their policy and I had to pay him his fee and pay Angi their fee. No on answered the phone to confirm this on Sunday and he never backed down.He left my light dangling from the top like attached. I told him this was a fire hazard. I got tired of going back and forth about this was the only way he could do it. He was awful. He said his name was Chris Stewart which I think was a lie. His telephone number he left was not a working number either. Angi did nothing to help this situation because we tried to contact him and they say they could not give us his number.
No matter how bad or good your business is, If you pay to be on their website they will make sure you are #1 and that you will become the best of the best of the contractors out there. I told them I didn't want to pay for their services due to being outrageous expensive. They stated that we will go to the bottom of the list even if we are A rated. If you do have a bad review show up (it's either not your business or someone just posting lies just to put reviews) It will take 6 months or longer to remove the F rating and they will take the other person's side in the matter instead of the company that pays to be on the "list" and has the evidence of the wrong doing.
After not showing two times to clean my place, the third time they sent a poorly motivated kid. I liked him, and thought he was doing a good job, but a few hours after he left I started noticing he had not done a good job cleaning. They charged me more than one hundred dollars for a two hour cleaning job which looked more like a fifteen minute express dust up job. Never again. Angi, keep your lack of diligence and responsibility to yourself. Also, keep your attitude under the lid. Thank you.

I had written an earlier review of damage done by an Angie's contractor. I was willing to take it down if this was resolved. Getting this resolved has been a nightmare. It is impossible to have a conversation with anyone unless you are just trying to schedule a job. I submitted all the paperwork to get reimbursed for all the work that had to be done to correct the damage. The total came to a little over $1000. They now told me that I need to go through my own insurance agency first. They want me to use MY homeowners insurance to correct damage caused by their incompetent worker! This would make my insurance deductible go up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Hired a contractor through Angi to do dry wall repair and extensive interior painting. The contractor did an excellent job, and I would hire him again. Angi's list is a valuable resource, but I do not like the current format that emulates Home Advisor. It is very tedious to have to go through all the questions about your project before you can see recommended contractors. I much prefer the old setup where you could get to a local contractor list right away.
It went very well from beginning to end. I called Garage Doors of Indianapolis, they listened to my problem and asked when I would like them to work on the door. I told them today if possible. They said a technician will call me to set up a time today. 10 minutes later Bart was calling. Gave me a quote and took my address. Said he would be there in 15 minutes to make the repair! 15 minutes! He arrived on time, looked at the door, gave me a quote, and made the repair. Bart was well mannered, explained what needed to be done and demonstrated the door repair when he was finished. He provided me with an e-invoice, when I paid. All done within an hour and reasonably priced. Great job Garage Doors of Indianapolis!
This people are nothing but thieves. Don't use them save time and a headache. So I signed up and just cause they sent me a text they charge you 40 dollars. You don't even have to open it. Imagine how many others get the same text. This people ate thieves and let's keep giving them the bad reviews so no one will use them

They supposedly help u find work. But they charge u for a text they send 100 other people. Nothing but a scam
My experience was great. I had some experience with prior companies but none like Alcon. Asif and his guys were attentive to every detail and I'm absolutely a perfectionist. From start to finish there was nothing that was not done to my satisfaction. And it never felt awkward in any way to ask for anything to be changed or slightly tweaked.
Charged my card then my "pro" texted me at 11:50pm the night before to cancel on me. They have a 24 hour cancellation period for customers but the pros can just cancel on you with no problem at midnight the night before? What kind of company does that? This is a large company they need to find a replacement people scheduled certain dates/times for a reason!
Tip for consumers:
Use another company with more professionalism

I definitely recommend David Brunelle from done right home improvements. He just finished doing some projects for me. He takes his time, spends all day if necessary. He does a remarkable job. Does not even leave a mess. Cleans up when he is finished. And always makes sure you are satisfied with his work. Anything you need done, he is the one to call. No matter how big or small the project. Call David from Done Right Home Improvements. Very reasonably priced as well. Great Job!
