Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
I had some work done on my sprinklers, and the tech asked if I would do a review about my satisfaction. Well, I tried to and I was emailed almost 15 times that I don't have enough information. They asked for my last 3 addresses and when I told them I've been at my house for 15 years, they said there is not enough information to verify me. After I gave my home and cell number, and my last 3 addresses from YEARS ago, and 2 emails. Which I don't understand why they kept asking for my previous addresses when it has nothing to do with anything. And when I told them that, they kept ignoring it! Worst company to talk to hands down. Very rude!
I loved the old Angie's List. Homeowners and customers of contractor services could easily look at the reviews for any contractor, look at rankings based on best overall reviews, and obtain lots of useful information. Since it was taken over by Home Advisor, all the good features of Angie's List have disappeared. I was a paying customer of the old Angie's List and was glad to pay for the good features and service. Now, the new "Angi" just sells your contact information to the highest bidder; the ones that are shown as "pros" have mediocre reviews at best. I will not be using Angi in the future.
I just tried to use Angie's. It is now horrible. I put in my information, and rather than give me a list of contractors, they instead had several people contact me. Plus, they contacted me also with names of contractors. They would not give me information about the contractors, rather, just wanted to schedule an appointment.
Sorry, but I want the opportunity to pick out my own contractor and research them on my own. This is what the old Angie's List would allow, and it was wonderful.
After speaking to a few of these contractors, but before even having a single one come to make a bid, Angie's calls me back wanting to schedule the actual job and get information so they could invoice me! Talk about not knowing what's going on with your clients! Geez... LOL
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Angie's, not at all like Angie's List

Not a product, a service. I will hire a contractor using Google now, not Angie'ss
What a joke. Angies list may be a decent resource for homeowners(but, I doubt it), but, as a local business owner trying to generate qualified leads for my business it was a complete waste of money, time & effort. From the initial sales representative that signed me up with lies and complete mis-representations to the "customer service" group that were completely inept and charged my account every possible dollar, dime & nickle they could. All with nothing but "lip service" to how they wanted my account to be successful. Scam, Scam, Scam!
Angie list, since they changed their name, no longer provides the great service it use to. You have to answer all these questions,
Then you get bombarded with scammers and you never get the info you were looking for. Shame on the managers that ruined this one great service

I am going to write a review and recommendation for my Real estate agent. She lost sleep one night in her diligent hard work. I told her to please not lose sleep over me.
With Angi, I know she will be known by those that seek true honesty. Thank you Angi for being here for me. Your system is very nice and easy to use.
Meet Russ through another contractor I hired. They built a new 10' x 20' deck, new steps for back door, updated guest bathroom and remolded the master bathroom and kitchen. All new countertops, appliances, cabinets and custom pantry. Found both to be gentleman, knowledgeable and skilled.
Horrible. Absolutely horrible. For every 5 leads 4 of customers are fake or say they never requested service. Customers say it's fraud and never needed anything or they never answer. It's a rip off I spend $98 to $130 per lead. 3-5 k a month. And get 3 leads out of it. It's so sad. I canceled this week I'm done.
DO NOT sign up for this if you are a contractor! They say you have a 500 dollar limit a month and they turn your leads on without your consent! Then you get a bill for 5,000 then to collections. Most of the leads are out of the areas we are LEGALLY allowed to work. Guess what most of the contractors do not have licenses! Anyone gets your information... and you have someone who was never had a background check
Communication is terrible. The leads are difficult to reach and overpriced I would also say recycled but some are not. The only way to manage this is to not let them send you leads and only respond to opportunities that request you directly. Even then, the leads are very hard to reach.
Also, when it comes to credit, the company doesnt care if you have called the customer 30 times, sent emails and texts. They still charge you for the lead. Additionally they charge you for the leads that have bad information in them! Even those are not refunded. And, finally they draw your credit card often. We had to stop payment with the credit card company until someone contacts us to assign the credits we are deserved. What a rip off. This company will put small companies out of business.
Tip for consumers:
Just use the opportunities to connect with customers and even then be prepared to waste over 200 dollars per lead that you wont be able to contact
I preferred it when one could enter a category, narrow by geography and read reviews one at a time. I do not like the system in which the site selects 4 companies to contact the client. Sometimes I am just doing research and don't want to be bombarded by phone calls. I contemplate canceling my membership because of this.
Angies list is a sham. Not only do they steal your money but they provide you with none of the service they offered. My 6 year old niece got us more referrals than Angie's list. Which isn't difficult since Angie's got us zero, and yes we did all we were supposed to do on our end and we're top rated company on the list. Such a shame they are getting away with ripping so many people off.
Excellent Company. Responsive, professional and reasonably priced. They installed a Radon system in our 6,000 (plus) square foot home, bring the radon levels down from 55 Ci/L to 2.1Ci/L. The fan is very quiet and we were extraordinarily pleased with every aspect of their work. I highly recommend this company to everyone dealing with radon issues in their home.
We had a huge mouse problem and tried to take care of it ourselves. It didn't work. We called Ares Pest Control, and in a few visits to plug holes where mice were entering and setting traps, the mice have disappeared! Thanks, Michael!
Some leads are't real, leads keep on coming even if paused so they keep charging your credit card, some leads you call and the jobs are already done by someone else, and to cancel de account you have to pay all the leads you din't use and they still send you another closing fee on top of that, don't do it! Print flyers and give to friends will be more efficient you will regret sining up with this crooks
From your list, thank you angie... we used Growing Solutions Tree Care. This company does outstanding work. They went above and beyond their work to do the best job they worked very hard and me and my husband is very pleased with them we will highly recommend them to other people and we will use them again I am sure... this company gets a triple A + from us... Growing Solutions Tree Care.
Worst company ever, they called me after we closed our account with Anji leads, saying we owe them $15,000! Crazy! Anji leads / homeadvisor take advantage of small plumbing company and promising them more jobs, but its false promises, i only got junk leads. I lost so much money trying to survive after all the charges, and now they sending those crock to collect money they do not deserve, do not sign up with Anji leads, cmi buying from them the debt not even checking if the debt is legit.
Contractors be warned. If you subscribe they got you for a year. They told me it was a 6 month agreement. I rode out the entire year for $600 a month. $7200! I got very few leads that materialized into jobs. Never heard from a customer rep until it was time to pay each month. I intentionally used a credit card at its limit so no unauthorized charges. I tell the rep that call every month "you guys got me and i cant wait for this be over". They never offered any apology or suggestions on how they could make it better. Eff em.
My washing machine wasn't draining and the gentleman who helped me named Mr. Rodney was so nice and helped me figure out what the problem was in less than an hour and ordered the part for my machine and fixed it within a two day period. He worked with my schedule bc of my kids. I would recommend him to anyone who needs help with any appliances. And I never I mean never do reviews but he most definitely deserves one.
I had a bad experience with one of the companies they recommended. I called Angi to place a complaint. After being routed to 5 different departments, I was told that there is nothing the could do and I should write a review about that company. I wasted 2 hours of my time hoping to get some satisfactory response which never came. Will NEVER use this company again!
What happened to the Angie's list where I got a list of contractors with ratings? I gave them all my info (big mistake) and I got two contractors listed (some Angi contractor it looked like and Sears) with no idea if either of them were any good. Then the nonstop phone calls started. I am not even answering because I wanted to do my own research before getting a sales pitch. I guess the actually useful angie's list doesn't exist anymore.
Recently, I was tasked with finding a pool service company for my job. I ended up plugging my information in on a website that dropped me off with Angi.com. I never received a single pool service estimate that was offered and what I got instead was hundreds of email and spam calls. Think twice before giving your information to these folks, but they sucker you with bait websites, so you won't even know you're giving your information to them until it's too late.
As an electrical contractor I've been ripped off by Angie's too many times. Too many fake leads and incorrect leads. When the leads are not the right category they charge you a fee that is way too high and they take no responsibility for it. They have a "you prove it stance". They take too much money from contractors and their family. Can't wait for the class action lawsuit.

As a new small business angieslist is very bad. They will promise a certain number of customer contacts and I have averaged 1/month!. They also do not tell you when you sign up that this is a subscription with cancellation fees. I would not recommend to any other contractor.
