Angi's list is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. No regard for making it right by the customer when they make a mistake. I was so upset by the end of every interaction trying to reconcile the issue. Do yourself a favor and schedule through local companies yourself- it would have been much easier and less frustration in the end.

I wish I had reviewed Angie's list before getting suckered into this barely legal scam that is immoral and deceptive.
I was abandoned by Angie's before my account was done yet they began biling me despite my being in a cancer ward and they never listed my pH # correctly yet want to sting a dying man!

I was originally a contractor home advisor which Angie list bought out I had 18 five star ratings and they renewed my subscription without even letting me know. They said they sent me an email which I never received in my in box or spam I told him I did an authorized for a yearly subscription, and they refuse to refund me my money because they said they sent me that email just a scam. They don't care about the contractor they just want your money very hard to get refunds from them, when people don't call you back or when another contractor just checking your prices out. Even when you pause your leads they still send you leads and charge for them. If you're a contractor thinking about joining them be aware they're not out for your best interest.

I was simply looking up vendors to do the service I needed and I got a call from the vendor I pulled up on Angie's List. I mean within in 3 minutes. The vendor had a B rating, was simply reading some of the reviews and I gt a call, had no time to investigate. Complete BS will not use Angie's list again! Let me choose on my own not what you force on me!

When I first went on Anji, they wanted me to sign up for a date for the repair, and even a time! What I was looking for was a list of professionals who could do the job and give me an estimate. I left the computer for 24 hours. When I came back, Anji gave me a list of guys and their approximate prices. They would contact me for a more firm estimate. On the list, the only name I felt secure with, was Jeff, although I asked all four for quotes. One vendor offered me a real deal! I would do the repair myself with them guiding me virtually. (Are you kidding?) (I should authorize free SMS texting.)

Jeff gave me the best estimate to come out and see the job. When he came, he was able to complete the job in a couple of hours! Good guy! Experienced! Knows what he is doing! I highly recommend him!

Do not wate your time. I have had 4 schedules appointments when no one showed and the one that did couldn't put a shower door in during 3.5 hrs and damaged the shower with drilled hole for no reason and walked off.

They scheduled an appointment for a handyman to come out today at 10; 30. At 11; 15 I called Angi to say they had not arrived.

We never received any contact info about the company so we had no way to contact them. The person on the phone at Angi's said they had rescheduled for 6/30.

How did they reschedule without contacting us? 6/30 is not a convenient date for us. I cancelled that date and do not plan on doing business with Angi again. Extremely unprofessional with unhelpful customer service.

If there were a star lower than one then I'd choose it. This company doesn't deserve even the one star. They are cheating contractors out of money and making a fortune. The app freezes every time I click on something. I have to close it out and restart the app. I have tried reloading the app. I have tried updating it. Nothing works.
Customers are not being verified before I, the contractor, are made to pay for the lead. If I am paying to be put in touch with a lead then I fully expect the lead to answer when I call or be refunded for what I paid to be put in contact with them.
In the previous $752.47 that I've spent on leads I have had TWO actually pan out. So if you do the math, I basically paid $376.24 for each of the two leads (customers that actually answered their phones and hired us). That is completely ridiculous and contractors should not have to pay for leads when the customer wont even answer their phone.

I hired state electric llc to perform work on my home and I could not ask for a better quality service and job in my experience dealing with contractors state electric has been the easiest I have dealt with in a way they always put the customer first.

I am a single woman with an old home and not very experienced with remodeling companies. I was nervous about getting a bid, but the chief engineer was willing to work with me and my budget. He was very approachable and trustworthy. The workers were efficent and they did such a super job. They worked a long, hot day, and it was hard work. These guys all have my utmost respect. I am pleased to bits with the
Professionalism of the service and do not hesitate to give them highest stars and a solid recommend.

I certainly appreciate having access to Angi. It has eliminated the customary aggravations of calling strangers to do a variety of projects in and around the home. I feel more confident in hiring true craftsmen and professionals and not con artists to get the job done. My friends will definitely hear about my successes.

Angie is a business that is there to take care of Angie's and nothing else. They charge the busineses that use their services a lot of money, often for bogus leads that are not verified enough. At times, I have been charged more than $100 for a lead that was not valid. If the leads are not disputed within a day, then they offer no refunds.

I put in a request for a caterer and a window tinting company for my home windows and got NO responses even when they matched me with several available contractors. They are all non-responsive and not interested in new customers.

I had to have the lock replaced on my home. Was directed to BONDED LOCK SERVICE, INC. It was a wonderful experience. Gordon came right on time. Installed the new lock and it works perfectly. He was courteous, kind and very knowledgeable. The work was done quickly, it looks great and works flawlessly. If you need lock replacement, this is the company to go to. Very happy with the result.

Cliff and his son are the greatest people you ever want to meet, when he is needed for any repair he makes time to come over and fix the problem. I have a motel and can't always wait for service because of so many rooms being effected at one time, when I call Cliff he always calls back and makes the time to repair the problem on hand. I am a small business owner and I signed up with Angi and was very clear about my monthly max spend limit. I was assured that I would not be charged or go above that limit no matter what. Then all of a sudden I got charged $3,000 because of their hidden fees and fraudulent sales pitches. I had to be on the phone multiple times for over 3 hours to even get in touch with someone who could help me in the slightest. They then dropped it to $1,500 and have been threatening to send me to collections. They are a terrible business, terrible customer service, rude, and they trick people. STAY FAR AWAY. ESPECIALLY if you are a business owner just getting started. They will try and cripple you financially for no actual good leads that turn into anything no matter how excellent you are.

I quickly searched for roofing repairs and got 5 possible candidates. However, only one, Shanco, did minor repairs on roofs - all of the four other candidates only did complete roof replacements. I wish I would have known - instead I had to call the four before I found Shanco! Perhaps you could refine your search criteria - as I did enter 'roof fascia replacement' - it did not filter out the 4 vendors that only do complete roof replacement.

I contacted Angie for a home improvement job. I immediately received a list of companies along with reviews. I picked the top 3 for an estimate 2 of which showed up. Angi is an easy and safe way to locate reputable companies in my area.

I have had a roof leak for years and have contacted at least 8 professional companies and two individuals to repair it. All of them failed and none of them returned to try to remedy "their" repair. Then I hired Roof Above the Rest and my roof, that leaked in two places, was fixed. The owner returned to check on the roof and make sure it didn't leak. He was honest and trustworthy. I highly recommend this company and appreciate the work and concern for my problem.
