Roman and Alex did a great job with my move. They were efficient and careful with my items. The price was fair and the service was excellent
I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
I wanted to write a review but oculdn't find the contractor through a search. I was sent a link to submit my review by text. After creating an account and logging in on my phone, writing the review and uploading photos the submit button wouldn't work. So I had to redo the review on my computer to send it. What a waste of time to give a review to someone who did a fabulous job for me. If I didn't think he deserved it so much I would have quit before posting.
Angi provided me with numerous companies to obtain quotes. This went very well and all the companies were qualified. I talked with four companies and selected the one I felt met all my requirements and I felt good with.
I thought I would use "Angie's List" to find a driveway leveling contractor. Initially, I was contacted by two contractors, one of whom came out and gave me a quote. That is what I expected. What I didn't expect was daily marketing Emails from Angi...over and over again followed today by a phone call! If you want to be harassed, sign up for Angi. If you want unsolicited phone calls, sign up for Angi. I wish I had never contacted them.
Tip for consumers:
I signed up for Angi but have not used one of their contractors but I can document that what I say in my review is true and accurate.
He made up some story about the price and not being right, then he canceled our order through Angi. He collected a $300 check from us to get materials, never showed up, and now we can't find him! He's basically using Angi to find customers to scam. Sooo sad.
I was forced to use Angie as part of a bed install and assembly for wayfair. It was an absolute disorganized, waist of my time and money. I can't use the expletives here that I'd like to, but let's put it this way, it was a s__t show start to finish. Wayfair did refund 50% of my payment. However Angi and its off shore "customer service " was totally unable to assist in any way. Even after I filed a formal complaint and elevated the matter Angi was a failure in every way. Wayfair and Angi faiked here on multiple levels abd certainly NOT "Just what I need" as their tagine goes
I signed for angy leads /home Advvisor. They provide me with leads that were not real. Customers did never answer the phone calls text or emails or they already have somebody somebody and I call immediately after "the lead" was provided. And I got exact 0 good leads from them zero. They were not real customers they keep charging me for leads not real. I cancelled they told me that was canceled and then, keep getting charged for 2 months after the fact I found out and they did not reinverse my money.

I was asked to give a review for service I received from WrightWay Carpeting; a newly formed business. His professionalism-5 stars, his cleaning skills-5 stars, his price-5 stars.
Overall rating Excellent!
One Stop Shop for service and reviews. If i am looking for service and have not decided or a company have not contacted me, an Angi employee will call to help specify my needs to make sure I get what I want.
I had gotten several quotes on a window replacement job on my own. Then I went to Angi and got a quote from the highest rated window company they had. The one I chose from Angi turned out to be better than the other ones I found on my own, in terms of honesty and quality, and most reasonable in terms of price.
Felisto Lorio, his son Joseph, and Bart provided absolutely wonderful dry wall repair and painting in my house over a period of three days! These gentlemen are without a doubt artists of their trade! I was more than impressed with their work and asked for business cards to hand out in the event that I have the opportunity to pass on possible future work to others. I will definitley call them again if needed! Thank you, Angi, for referring them to me! Tom Miller
Tip for consumers:
Thank you for providing this service to me!
My experience with the contractor was excellent. My experience in posting a rating for him via Home Advisor and Angi was grueling. The Home Advisor and Angi agents were quite responsive and professional, but I finally had to Google the contractor to write his Angi review. Both divisions claim that they could not find him in your system. This is the person you recommended and vouched for; very concerning.
I hired Angi's list to do a very simple drywall repair job in a laundry room that my dog had damaged/chewed. It is a rental property that needs to be returned in good condition. It used to be that you could select a contractor based on their reviews. Now you are assigned a contractor to do your job. The person who did the work was pleasant enough but did a HORRIBLE job. We asked him to buy drywall and trim to complete the job and provide us with a receipt. He did not show us any receipt and we never saw any new materials. He asked for $120 for supplies. I didn't feel comfortable saying no. When the terrible job was "complete" we contacted Angi and asked them to send someone back. That person tried to tell us the wol was fine. You can see all of the seams and rough spots. The material absorbed the paint unevenly. You can still see the teeth marks in the trim because it wasn't actually replaced.
Tip for consumers:
DON’T USE THIS SERVICE.
Well I apply 4 days ago, and now angieslist wants to reply. I will never use angieslist again. I am sure the service company is a good company. My tip to them would be is advertisers in their local paper or phonebook cause the company didn't come up on the internet for service and stay away from angieslist. Its fixed now. Let's see 4 days for a response and 2 days to get to my house 4 days for the part to arrive and 2 more days before they can come back. 12 days with out a dryer pissed. Thanks for the help angieslist.
New businesses beware. PLEASE PLEASE use a different service than Angi leads. Thumbtack is great, Facebook is great, Google is great. Angi is like raking your valuable money, lighting it on fire, and then sometimes getting that money back. I don't know if they buy their leads from Jen Shah, but they are weak and you will likely never get in touch with anyone. And when you request a credit, good luck. They give you a few right away but then hold the money, probably to make payroll, even though the lead is bad. AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID. There are services out there that can give you actual customer interaction and information. Find those instead of overprice leads.
Tip for consumers:
Just don't do it.
I have used Angi's List or Angi now on numerous occasions to survey and find businesses to complete jobs I have needed to be done from roofing to appliance repairs and more. I trust Angi and have had great services from all those I hired that had good reviews here. Thanks Angi!
I contacted Angi because I thought it was safer than finding someone on my own. I was wrong. I hired someone for grout repair. We scheduled the date and time. He never showed up. He did not return my call to find out why. I never heard from him again. I contacted Angi to inform them of this. They couldn't have cared less. I asked if they were going to look into it and they said no. I asked if they were going to continue to refer this business to other customers without investigating the problem. They said yes.
I got in touch with Angi and despite my gut feeling agreed to pay 29.99 for a yearly membership. They assured me any contractor on their site has to maintain a 4.2 rating. The contractor they had call me, told me the name of their business and said her husband would come out in a few days to do some measuring. Now that I had the company name I did a search online to find out they have a 2.3 rating for screwing people out of money. Fortunately I'm only out the 29.99. I would suggest doing your homework. When I called home advisor they wouldn't give me the company name just said it was a private contractor. I canceled the appointment they set up for me and canceled my membership.
Angi's List automatically renews your membership even if you don't want it and THEN you cannot get off their list! Do not click "Accept" to the terms and agreements - it automatically enrolls you in a yearly fee. They do not answer their phone and their chat feature doesn't respond. Big rip off.
I needed an estimate for pest removal services. I used Angi because I believed they would vet contractors for providing estimates.
A contractor came out and charged $100.00 for their estimate that they claimed needed to be charged to drive to my residence. I was told 100# would be applied if if we did 100% of their estimate. I am a former plug./hvac contractor. We never charged for an estimate. I found this estimate and charge excessive. I contacted Angi to complain about being charged just to get get an estimate. I was told they only vet the contractor to make sure they do the work, not charge for estimates.
They provide no real value to consumers as to shame estimates. In my opinion, Angi provides zero value in being involved, as they do not care if you are charged to get an estimate of cost.
I will never use a service like this, as they provide nothing other than a false notion of proprietary to nafairious or improper charges by the contractors they provide to consumers.

I contracted with Kenneth J LeBoeuf Plumbing & Heating for several projects for the past 3 years including 4 Bathrooms renovation, 3 Kitchens renovation, Heating systems upgrade, replacement and maintenance on multiple properties/units. Ken has done a superb job. His price was reasonable; fairly quick turnaround; work area in and out was left neat. All in all, I would recommend Kenneth J LeBoeuf Plumbing & Heating to anyone. Clement S, Westborough and Marlborough, MA
I called the Angi customer support number and they told me that the above contact sent by Angi of Terrence R is not the pro for my service and that another pro is assigned to my job and even that person was not responding and that my job is canceled for the day. I have taken leave from work and traveled more than 30 miles, have night stayed in this property to get the job done today morning at 7am and all my time and effort has been wasted. Kindly compensate for this huge inconvenience.

Donot use Angi
Landen Mount Excavation & Landscaping did an outstanding job at completing a switchback on a hill with a 50-degree grade. Landen completed the project in a timely manner at budget. Whatever I requested Landen was up to the task and completed what needed to be done to make the trail functionable for a John Deere Gator to climb. This was not an easy task, many contractors elected not to bid on the project due to the difficulty. Landen kept to his word and meeting contract requirements and took on the project as a challenge.
Landen was very easy to work with and did an excellent job. Thanks!
Angie's list has gone down hill big time since they were purchased by Home Advisor. They duplicate most leads from one platform to the other. This allows them to bill contractors on both platforms.
Tip for consumers:
Google companies and do your own research. Make sure folks have insurance. They have went down hill after being purchased by Home Advisor.

Pro Services.. I made them aware that I wasn't happy and why. They refused to listen. I contacted them multiple times to settle my final bill and they sent us to collections anyway. We paid what we owed, but they have went down hill after being purchased by Home Advisor.

Had a hard time finding someone to replace an outside wall until Tim Wheeler took the job. Tim was very knowledgeable about what we wanted and did at a reasonable price.
Once you join as a pro, its hard to reach anyone frim Angi, fake emails mostly. They give the potential customer a bogus estimate of what the work should cost! So every bid starts with an argument, because angi said your 6000$ is only worth 500-900$! Was only half of the work categories my company offers, only allowed 1 work pic. And then when you finally quit the crappy service, they sell all of your info to every P. O. S. Scumbag sleezeball salesman in the land! 3 calls a day since I quit!
Hi Debby, We apologize that your experience was anything less than positive. This is not the type of customer service that we expect our team to deliver to our valued homeowners. Please reach out to us at emailus@angi.com and we would be more than happy to address this further. -AngiSupport
