I scheduled a duct/vent cleaning service through Angi last week. I wanted them to pick the contractor, just a qualified person, and they gave me a reasonable quote. I accepted. I got a confirmation of a match (the first on Friday October 4 at 8:41 am) for today - October 10, at 8 am. Later that same day, I got a second confirmation at 5:12 pm. I was puzzled at this, but OK. On Monday, October 7, I got a third confirmation at 11:55 am. Puzzled, I went online and looked at my booking, and yes, there was the named contractor - I sent him a message basically just acknowledging that I knew he was my contractor. All looked fine - and I spent a lot of time on Tuesday moving furniture and other stuff so there was clear access to every vent, vacumed each room, cleared pathways from any doorway they might need to use, etc. At 6:15 am - I get a text that my booking starts at 8:00 am. Then at 7:30 am, I get a text message that "unfortunately we were unable to match you with a top-rate pro for your service... we have rescheduled you for Sunday October 13 at 3 pm...". Thirty minutes notice that NO ONE was going to show for an appointment confirmed right through yesterday. I cancelled that booking, and now they won't let me write an honest review, because I didn't actually "hire" the contractor! So my honest review goes here. I will hire someone else, because Angi has wasted a good bit of my time, and I have no confidence at all that anyone will show up on Sunday either.
Sales Staff told us we could cancel at any time if we were not happy. We signed the 12 Month Contract - LOCKED IN even if you don't get a single job from their worthless leads. We kept documentation from their leads and for 8 months we were one of MANY (not 2-3 as stated) businesses receiving their leads. Super deceptive management unwilling to work with us... during COVID you would expect

I feel as if I am at Las Vegas losing every time I turn on my leads, they charges over a hundred bucks per lead and it's just people wanting free stuff so what I did was I got a new phone, and then I started acting like a consumer, I noticed that their ads are all misleading, and I am finding a way out.
Your phone will explode as soon as they know you open a company. But they are rude, they do not respect others budiness, they are very arrogant, they dont know how to talk with a company. Definitely do not lose your money because they will not respect and will talk to you after grab your money like in hood. Zero stars for this leads company and very dissapointed. I have got a call from an employee and from her supervisor and they treat me without respect, they hang up arrogant persons
I signed up with Angi Leads because they told me they had 44 unresponded to leads at that moment in my business category. I made a lead deposit with them of $300.
The leads i received were all worthless. Either the customer no longer needed the service or they would not respond to my calls, etc. Bottom line; i never received one job in the first week. Angi Leads did credit back two of the lead fees, but that was all. I called me Service Rep three times and left messages to call me, but never received a single call back. Finally, i called to cancel the service. Of course they tried to pressure me not to cancel. When they finally did cancel it, they would not refund my $300 deposit or any portion of it.
If i had done more research, i would have found that Angi Leads has had its BBB Accreditation revoked for unethical practices. Not much more needs to be said than that!
Oct 21 cancelled a scheduled gutter cleaning and told Angi to stop the scheduled cleanings until I told them to start again. Was able to get my money back, after spending 30 minutes on the phone. Nov 21 I get billed $241 after telling the contractor (who called me the day before) to not show up, as I didn't need the cleaning. Turns out this time all I can get is half of the $241 back, because I missed a text (from UNKNOWN NUMBER--I usually don't open those) and didn't cancel in time. They will bill your account without a call, text, or email. Beware.
Angi is a great source for information on local businessed. They are a little behind the times on businesses which have closed months ago. For example, Johnny's Car wash on Beechmont Ave closed last fall and it still appears on Angi as open.
This is a scam company that takes advantage of small businesses. Please do not use the services listed here. They use deceptive business practices to swindle small businesses out of money.

My Reheem hot water tank went out on the 1st of September of this year. After throwing money away on numerous plumbers to come out and service the tank, Reheem Company replacing 4 parts, still the tank would not light and began to leak so much gas fumes into the home, that the gas company had to disconnect the gas line from my home. One day I saw an announcement about how Angie Services could find the perfect plumbing company to help me with my needs. Immediately I was contacted my WKD Plumbing services to start the process of fixing my heater! I thank God for sending me a knowledgeable servicemen to get the job done for an affordable price! Thank you Angie!
We were excited to sign up for Angi with our business. We ended up wanting to cancel our service, and was met with VERY poor customer service from the Angi "Client Success" Representatives.
I contacted them requesting to cancel and was told I would be contacted within 1-2 business days. I got no response from anyone on the team within 2 business days.
I called back and explained I wanted to cancel, no one had contacted me back and the representatives would not help me speak with someone who could cancel the subscription. I was told, again, to "just wait" for someone to call me. I understand the cancelation process may "take time", but the lack of promised communication is the issue. No help from any of the representatives. And no help from my assigned "client success" rep who is not doing her job or answering or returning calls.
Very disappointed.
This company screwed me out of $1200.00 refused to issue me the refund for charges to my card for leads I could get. This company is scamming hard working people be careful. I will be reporting them to the better business beru.
A major replacement on my lenai screens was done after the Florida hurricane. Angie gave us a licensed contractor who actually wasn't licensed. The repair is already flawed. The contractor will not return calls and neither will Angis company. Be warned. Cannot leave a Google review for Angi either
Our experience with Permaseal was great; start to finish. Cecil was courteous and friendly when he came out to inspect and quote the project. Tyler and Jehoiada were professional, friendly, polite, and knowledgeable as they did the application. They answered our questions in understandable ways and were courteous when they offered suggestions. Excellent experience.
I had a pool liner installed by ANGI services over a year ago and in the process the workers broke my ladder while removing it. I reported it to customer service immediately and still have not recieved any payment or agreement to pay for the damage. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated. I was scheduled to have an electric fireplace assembled and mounted on 3/11/2023@ 11am but what I received was a NO SHOW. I called customer support (Cliff) and was told to call the pro assigned (Phillip C.) and work it out with him. Unfortunately, Phillip C never called, answered my call or bothered to call or text back. After calling customer service yet again, I was told I could reschedule for the following Monday. That is totally unacceptable and unprofessional considering I've wasted an entire morning waiting on a someone who is unprofessional. Absolutely not, just remove me from the que altogether because I am extremely unsatisfied with the lack of service I experienced. The review didn't deserve a star but unfortunately I could not rate any lower. Very unprofessional Angi's, very unprofessional. Never again!

I would like to take this opportunity to share my experience with you. I truly believe in catching people doing something right in order to help drive performance and set level of expectations for other company. In today's compatative environment industry the success of any company depends on people like Mr. Samuel Arevalo CEO( Arevalo Painting Inc). Mr. Samuel was accommodating, courteous, patient, excellent knowledge of his job, friendly, and honest. He was every polite and made sure to cover all the details I needed for my job. His price bit all the competition and that's why for the 2nd times I choose him to take care of my job. Every time I called regarding e. Document, appointment or any questions Maridel, his secretary she was there for me. Him and his crew are fast, don't waist any time, accurate, everything on document and signed and do clean job.

I'm a painter, I was convinced to sign up to receive leads. I was told it would be "about $100." For the year, so I agreed. In the end, I was charged $287.99! $41.00 of which was for "a lead". When I tried to cancel after 2 days ( there's a 72 hr. Cancel policy) I was not only sent back and forth to multiple departments, hassled for trying to cancel and was charged for a lead I never received. When told they would not credit me for the lead, I asked for the leads info since I was paying for it. When I called the lead, the woman was upset the people, not just me, were calling her and she never asked for a painter. So I paid $41.00 for a bogus lead and I'm not getting credited for! DONT SIGN UP FOR THIS, ITS BOGUS LIKE THEIR LEADS!

I like the old Angies List where I could look up a review on a company without having to go through all of the BS to get multiple quotes. Home Advisor is a pile of you know what. I tried using it in the past and all it did was piss me off. People would set up an appointment and not show up, or they would come and say they would get back with me on a quote but they wouldn't call and there were even some that said the job wasn't worth it, I should just cut my losses and run. And then to top it off I kept getting emails asking me if I hired someone yet, which offer did I accept and how was it going but there was no option to say - I didn't hire anyone because you didn't send anyone who would give me an offer. I'm only on Angi to give feed back on a good company that deserves a good review.
Don't waste your money they won't give you credit for Beth leads and they never return phone calls they say they're changed with the merger of home advisor but they're not same old crap
I booked for a home cleaning on 6/21 for 6/23 … the person never showed up! Kept declining my call and then replied I canceled when I reiterated I did not. They said they would still come. Called customer service they were of no help couldn't even contact contractor! I was completely inconvenienced. Then I was told I could reschedule but next available date is 6/25! Just ridiculous! How you book a service 48 hrs in advance! And the person doesn't show and can't provide a replacement! Just useless and disappointing DO NOT USE THIS PLATFORM FALSE ADVERTISING!

Having to click the links from the professional's emails to provide a review just makes the whole process complicated. I don't mind giving reviews, but when the process is so complicated, it makes it not worth it. We'd get errors of using the wrong email address, password, and had to wait to get reviews approved. The review i thought would post after the 2nd time trying never posted. We had to do some kind of verification. Completely unnecessary! Also, I don't want to have to sign up for Angi just to leave a review, so I will be canceling that account now that I think the review posted. Since we kept going around in circles using links from the professional, I just went to Angi and signed up for an account separate from those emails to leave the review that way.
I went on Angi to look for fence repair. Within less than a hour Genaro and sons contacted me and came to my house to look at repair. I was so relieved that my search went so well. It completely eased my worries on getting my fence repaired.
I was looking for a vendor to do asbestos abatement. There was some miscommunication between the vendors and Angi regarding appointment times and so 2 of the 3 vendors failed to appear for an appointment.
This is the worst company to deal with! They will take your money even without any service work. The contactor texted me with no name or company and when I told him we were all set I am being charged for canceling even though I didn't know I was canceling Angi. I canceled back in Feb 2022 and they said you only canceled your membership not the meeting. OMG I canceled they don't get it and they will repeat everything over and over again. This is a horrible company!
