A great site with fabulous items. Great sales and even better customer service. The customer service people are well trained and professional I love shopping with them and feel confident about items and shipping. I love the reviews posted about the articles for sale as they help me make the right decisions about the products.
I ordered two dishes from Anthropologie to be delivered to NZ. The cost was high, especially given the exchange rate and shipping to NZ. One bowl arrived broken. I took photos and sent a friendly polite email with the photos. No response. I followed up. No response. I followed up again. Still no response. Would not recommend or ever buy from again. If I could leave a ZERO I would.
... the items I've purchased from Anthropologie have been soooo worth it! I saw beautiful wooden dining room chairs that have a vibrant painted floral scene on them {photo shown is from website}-- as well as a pair of funky New Balance sneakers that I just had to have-- I've had no problem with either purchase. Some of the prices of other featured items are a bit OVERWHELMING; but again, I'm quite pleased with what I've received.
I regret reading the other contributors reviews that stated they received 'poor customer service'. Thankfully, I didn't have the need to utilize them. And although I will keep those reviews in mind--I do plan on ordering again.
Not surprising that they have already closed yorkdale. This retailer is not Canadian consumer friendly. Told me that I should bring the items back to the store, now I am not entitled to get my refund on duty and taxes! This has been a nightmare! Do not shop in this store! Theyre styles and fits are crappy and cheap anyways! Never ever again! No Canadian should support this retailer stay Canadian!
Ordering furniture from Anthropologie is a big mistake. Please don't I have had multiple items come damaged or just plain be refused to be delivered bc they insist on using Ryder delivery service. The drivers will lie one even mocked me for being stressed that they once again weren't going to deliver items. They refused to deliver a 5 pound chair saying the whole order was just too heavy and they couldn't do it. They lied saying there were scratches on my tables and I found out later the same delivery person said that was too heavy. He also said my curio cabinets were too heavy when they delivered with two people before the same exact cabinet. The response from management at Anthropologie was lackluster and like well we probably won't get them to fix this & it will just have to be rescheduled.
Not only did I have my wedding at Terrain and have been a shopper at all Anthro stores for as long as I can remember... evening going with my mom as a toddler... They have REALLY gone down hill. We set up a wedding registry at Anthro and had missing items, no information from who the sender was EVER so we would have to call and see who ordered every single gift, broken gifts, and then this Christmas they failed two deliver parts of TWO separate orders. One slipped my mind and the other was a gift that I would have never known hadn't gotten there if I didn't see it missing in the "thank you card" and have to ask her if she ever got it... It's pathetic frankly. How can your team mess up on every single experience I have ever had there in the last few years? Get it together... you are an expensive store. Your customer service and "quality of products" should MATCH that!
Ordered shoes for a Christmas gift on December 3rd. Said they would be shipped by Christmas. Weeks later, it said they were back ordered and would ship January 2nd. Then it was pushed another week, and another week, literally pushed to January 17th before i contacted someone. The rep said they are now in stock and would ship "very very soon". Next thing I know, I got an email saying my order was canceled because the item was out of stock. A month and a half waiting just for that to happen? I could've refunded and shopped somewhere else a long time ago. Huge waste of time and I don't like being lied to by customer service. Never shopping here again.
The Anthropologie store location on 50 Rockefeller Center is a racist store with extraordinarily racist employees. Terrible experience there that included racial profiling and discriminatory practices. The bigots at that store; Astra Rincon, Erin and Chamile are terrible but the store Manager Kelly is the absolute worst. Kelly is the epitome of racist micro aggression with her nasty attitude and extreme prejudice. Apparently asking for a store employee's name is akin to a "security threat" when asked by a black person. What a nasty little character she is. When notified about the incident Anthropologie corporate took no action. Very telling. Anthropologie is a racist, sham of a company that needs to be exposed.
Anthropologie - great clothes if you can get them and if (good luck) you can reach customer service. For years, Anthropologie was my "go to" choice for interesting, fashionable, "different" clothing items. But lack of service sent me to Saks, Banana Republic, Not Your Daughter's Jeans, JCrew, and other competitors, especially online.
Today, I decided to give it one more try because there were a few items I couldn't find elsewhere. Late last night (wee hours), I placed a major order. I woke up to find it was canceled! No explanation - canceled the entire order of over 10 items (not on sale). I tried to call customer service and was on hold for 40 minutes, then disconnected. I called back and selected the option for Anthropologie to call me back: never happened.
Then, I placed an order for three of the items - and it seems to have gone through. Separately, I placed an order for one more item - three times - and three times got a cancellation with no reason. I finally called the local store that told me the item is on back order (I knew that from the information online but placed the order - willing to wait).
OK, so these days, real customer service is hard to find. But Anthropologie seems to have reverted to a business model characterized by disdain for the customer, arrogance about its ability to get business with no customer service, and a total disregard for all of us whose money enables it to exist. Well, not this customer - not any more.
I love their branding and i love shopping in their stores. I think the shopping experience on their website could still be improved. I recently bought a bib necklace from them. Although it is kind of expensive, but totally worth it. I love their beddings collection as well.
Answer: Easy to get ahold of- but expect rudeness and complete lack of caring from 95% of the employees.
