ASOS has a rating of 1.4 stars from 2,054 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about ASOS most frequently mention customer service, post office, and next day problems. ASOS ranks 475th among General Apparel sites.
Bought a sweater and a cardigan, frankly the price was very cheap and the pictures looked good. The actual items received were good, but they don't last. The sweater lost its shape after one wash, and the cardigan seems to be polyester, which easily gets static electricity.
Bought a pair of Dr Marten shoes which are supposed to be one of the best for leather and longevity. When the shoes arrived they were farrrrr from new! They were battered! They had clearly been worn for several weeks and returned or worn by an ASOS member of staff that decided to exchange their battered pair for my new pair upon dispatch! I have attached photos as the shoes' battered state on delivery have to be seen to be believed! AVOID this company, they no longer care about their customers.
Worst online shopping experience ever! Made a purchase where their display stated the product comes in "2-pack". Received only one. Contacted them, asked them to either send the remaining pack or refund pro-rata. They changed their display from 2-pack back to 1, and then tell me they are correct and it was me that has made a mistake/mixed-up. Not sure if this action is legal. Unethical for sure. They even sent me trustpilot review link and tell me to leave a review if unhappy. Beware of this unethical online distributor. Attachments: screenshots of my order details taken on (1) May 14,2020. This screenshot shows the 2-pack info clearly; and (2) May 16,2020 (where ASOS changed the display after I contacted them).
Tip for consumers:
ASOS is an unethical company. They ignore and hide their own mistakes. They blame customers when in fact it was their own faults. ASOS rather harm their own reputation than to honour their own mistakes. In my case, it was only concerning a pro-rata refund of about 10GBP (equivalent to about 100HKD).
Severe lack of customer service when there have been multiple issues with multiple orders. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or money shopping here. I've been waiting for a refund for over 2 weeks now, and when I reached out to customer service to address the issue, (considering the tracking number shows it was delivered to them over a week ago...), they did nothing to help and told me to just continue waiting. At this point I'm disputing the charges on my credit card and will never shop with them again.
Tip for consumers:
Do not shop here. Shop elsewhere.

To say I'm disappointed with this clothing distributor is an understatement...please don't waste your time buying from this website. Their company is particularly money hungry and can care less about their customers. I ordered something to be sent to my home in Canada, not only was it sent to the post office but I was charged $80 in customs fees! The box they shipped out my items in was HUGE! Even though I only ordered a few things that could fit in a medium size box (probably even smaller like a parcel...) They never mention this, and you have to look through articles in their help centre to see something about customs fees. Not transparent at all. What is the point of having discounts if the money you save has to be spent again on the things you've already bought + More! Extremely disappointed

Do not recommend if you are in Canada. Had to pay $70 extra at post office, was supposed to be free delivery. They give you a refund if you return within 21 days. I sent my return over a month ago and it's still not showing that is has arrived to them so looks like I'll only get a store credit for a store I will never again buy from…. So disappointed! And customer service is terrible. No number to call only online chat and they were not helpful at all at resolving any of my issues. Horrible horrible horrible
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use it
Be careful ordering from them. If you use this count code and you return some items back. The discount amount will be reverted back when your minimum spending deducted the returned amount is lower. This happened to me and i didn't get any money back at all from the stuff i returned. They discretely tell you this condition and i'm sure most ppl are not aware and can fall into this trick. This is such a scam. Worst online merchandise ever. Service is terrible you can only chat with them. Surely they dont wanna deal ppl that get mad by this.
My ASOS account was blocked (seemingly permanent) for...returning a few items. A large retail chain like ASOS is so stingy that they're literally blocking accounts for using their free return system as intended? They're lucky I'm even using their website instead of the thousand other fast fashion retail brands, I just find it amusing how stingy and pathetic many of these large corporations are, that they would go to such lengths to stop people from using a system that they clearly advertise on every listing, which is their free returns. If you don't want to lose a few pounds allowing customers to return items for free, just charge for it?
The company's changed and for the worse, unfortunately. Terrible customer service to begin with, going around in circles no one knows what to do or how to handle the case and I'm being given no indication or reasons to the truth of my subject matter. Cancelled order, blocked account but then allowed to place a second order within the time everything was getting cancelled/ blocked then my account was re-instated with no explanation as to why it was blocked in the first place.
They've also stopped exchanging? What kind of clothing company as 'big' as ASOS does this? On top of this 20% off code as a goodwill gesture - when I can get this myself through a referral scheme? Pathetic beyond all means imaginable.
I ordered a few suits to try on for my wedding. The package got held up in customs and a few weeks later I received a bill from fed ex for $262. The cost of the items was about $600 and ASOS claims on their site that anything under $800 won't be charged customs fees. When I mentioned this to them in a customer service chat, it took them an hour to tell me it's not their problem. Got on chat again, and the new rep here told me within about seven minutes that they'd issue a full refund. A few days later I receive an email asking me to enter my credit card info on the site so they can issue it. A day after that I receive another email totally reneging on the refund. Now whoever I end up talking to (someone different each time of course) tells me I need to take it up with customs. I'm returning all of the items I've ordered recently and will never use them again. BEWARE, using this site is not worth it, and I say this as someone who had shopped with them for over ten years before this.
Tip for consumers:
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE IF YOU DON'T WANT HIDDEN CHARGES

Had purchased suits this time, have also ordered jackets, shirts, pants, and shoes in the past.
Don't waste your time on this site. You'll find basically nothing available in average sizes.
And if you do bother to spend your time picking through the few available items... you likely won't be able to buy them. Asos's log-in system is defective, and so far they haven't been able to figure out why. You'll set up your account, and immediately their log-in page will reject your password. So then you request a password reset... but the reset E-mail is never sent (and no, it's not being filtered as spam).
And to compound that incompetence: There's no way to check out as a guest. So you CAN'T buy from the site. Now that's pretty pathetic.
But there's more. The site is full of dead-ends. For example, that log-in page: If you can't log in, Asos just leaves you sitting there. There's no "contact us" or help link offered. Seriously?
Tip for consumers:
Avoid.
I ordered a 137 Canadian Dollars order to be delivered in Canada. Had to pay more than 47$ in extra fees for custom and delivery. Obviously nothing mentioned about all these hidden charges when I ordered... This is unacceptable and this is pure fraud! Do Not order With ASOS or you will pay twice the price of your items!
I ordered a dress and some earrings to wear at a wedding, and allowed at least 20 days for them to get here. Still no sign of them and the customer service is telling me that they have no idea where it is. Did a black hole suck my dress and earrings in? Did they never exist? Or were they time travellers stuck in 2018 only to travel back to their time on the day of delivery? Should we look at the fine print to make sure if standard shipping also includes... DELIVERY? Last time I'll ever shop with this godforsaken website.
From the time I confirmed and paid for my item, to the time I did not receive it a month after their estimated date of arrival, my tracking was untraceable. Their courier partner in my country told me the tracking number does not exist. Agents I chat to online all have the same approach, I'm so sorry, I understand your frustration, yet none of them kept to their word! They are taught to be empathetic, its actually annoying. Once the date passed where I was to receive my order, yet nothing arrived, they asked me to rate my item, I explained what had happened and my review was rejected. Four months later after speaking from agent to agent I finally got my refund. Will definitely not purchase from this site again.
Tip for consumers:
Refund will be calculated as per the current rate of exchange so not what you paid!

ASOS has such low quality of clothing and does not care about it's customers at all. I returned shoes that I didn't like (they didn't look like the photos) and then i got an email saying it was being returned back to me because they were damaged, worn or in an unsuitable condition? I never even took them out of the BOX!? I feel like the company must do this on purpose to make it more difficult for customers to return things. Super sketchy and unethical. Never shopping at ASOS again...
This is by far my worst e-commerce experience I've ever had. I decided to try Asos as they bought Topman recently and I loved their brand and t-shirts.
I ended up waiting 14 days for the shipping, they charged me an extra $15 handling fees (On a $59 order) on top of it even if it said "Free Shipping" when you order and I'm not even talking about the poor the quality of the item that was horrific.
I contacted their support and I've never been treated like that from a brand before. They literally don't give a s**t about their customers and blame it on the customs. They even closed the live chat in my face when I insisted to speak with a manager (!).
And when you have to return your defective items, you have to pay CAD 22.40 YOURSELF, email them your receipt and pray they don't f**kk you over again and refund it to you.
Keep far from this company, there are plenty of other great e-commerce that actually give a s**t about their clients.
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy there. Period.

I sent items back and the tracking says received but months later unable to get a refund because they insist their records show that my payment was declined and the order not sent! I sent a screenshot of my credit card statement and gave the tracking number. Receipt of my return package but they just keep repeating, I'm sorry we never received a payment from you so can't refund. A different person replied to every email and ignored the total history so I had to keep repeating. They clearly son't understand English well. Its like dealing with a call centre offshore. Except all on LIve Chat or email. They would think their customer service is good because they have been trained to say nice things like: have a nice day" and "don't worry I; m here to sort his out for you". By the way their clothes are cheap junk. Would never buy from them again. I attach receipt for return package and credit card statement for the payment.
I ordered a dress. Dress $23.98, shipping $15.00 total $38.98.
Dress has no finished edges on hem, sleeves etc and overall quality was poorer than I even expected for the price. I sent several emails, without answers so went to website and learn that for $22.? I can return this dress. So not the customer service I am used to with other online stores. Disappointed and will not bother to send the dress back, but will never buy from ASOS again.
Tip for consumers:
Return is expensive and quality poor....cheap

Once you place an order, they can just change the photo online of the item you ordered and send you something completely different from what was offered. Customer service is not helpful at all. Do not shop here.!
Worst customer experience of my life, had a huge problem because of the way they shipped my package. Still no assistance, still no partial refund. Also, as a Canadian customer I am offered 15% right now from them, but I didn't receive it and they are refusing to give it to me after the fact. They have the worst customer service ever, all I ever get is generic responses which do not even address the problem I'm even referring to. Honestly felt like a scam, will NEVER buy from there again.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Asos for anything. If you do, expect 50% or more in surprise fees while shipping and the worst customer service you have ever experienced.

I have worn 1 out of the 3 so far. In the end I will probably wear all because the items are decent enough. However, what I ended up paying for each was way over priced becuase the company misreported the items for duties and shipped one from the UK, which is not the closest warehouse to me, and I was not notifies about, and made the purchase very expensive - way more than I would've paid for the cheap quality items I got.
Didn't receive refund for return goods during two years, due to the fact that I bought in rubles and because of the war between Ukraine and Russia, they no longer work with Russian currency. So I left without item and without money.
Yesterday I ordered clothes from ASOS. Today they have sent me an email stating that my order got cancelled, because it did not pass validation checks. They also blocked my account. It took me 2 hours to search for clothes and order them. Don't waste your precious time, I do not recommend this site to anyone. They are unprofessional.
Very stylish, and comfortable for all-day use. These are running shoes, but I will be wearing them for regular occasions and maybe training. They look great and fit perfectly, with no complaint of any kind.
Fast delivery, good new collections, good and fast website, fast support. Best online shop!
Absolutely horrible service! I would give ZERO star if I could! Every time I buy few items something is missing. My order doesn't get delivered. They took the full payment and said they're out of stock when I didn't receive my order! I didn't get any refund! They don't have a customer service number. You'll have to message on a messenger or email them then some stupid robot replies with an automated answer. They don't resolve anything. This is the third time I'm missing an item in my order and my last time ordering from ASOS. I am a regular customer and you lost one! I have all the proofs with me.
I never had an issue with ASOS until recently. The live chat never works, and it is literally impossible to reach anyone for customer service. Their "contact now" button is down, there is no e-mail provided as an alternative, and no number given. I received a dress with broken sequins and a zipper that won't zip up, and I don't know how to contact them to get help.
Tip for consumers:
Their basic products such as pants and hoodies are great, but this particular detailed dress is very fragile and flimsy. It seems as though the whole thing came shattered when arrived.

The time of sales is my favorite one, usually it is about holidays, of course, because such marketplaces as Asos create very tasty discounts on trendy attire.
Not only can any person shop here classical shirts, shoes, jackets and whatever, but also have an opportunity to get some gifts for closests. For instance, I shopped here Calvin Klein wallet as a present for my father. The shipping was as usual seamless and fast. Well... not really-really fast, but certainly according to the information stressed on the site.
Both men and women can find something up to their tastes, and it's the best way to buy clothes not going out.
Terrible company practices. Recently had a few items not turn up in clearly resealed bag, reported to CS they are all fine and will refund etc. Then two days later get an email stating they have banned my account and will not refund the money for the stolen items during delivery. No reasoning! How they treat a customer of over 10 years, never had issues before. Just hope you don't have an item lost or stolen during delivery. They will banned you for life and not refund you for reporting to them.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from them or at your own risk
