You cannot argue with a company that doesn't use common sense and is out to just make a buck. Don't fall for it, people. Look up their reviews - there are a TON of bad ones. TONS. And the fact that the company isn't willing to look into bettering their shady practices or even speak to people in a more kind and less condescending matter, really says a lot about their legitimacy. Some people live with themselves only because they are in denial about their bad behavior. Shame on you, AuthenticateFirst.

I'm used to buying preloved fashion, but for my first "bigger" designer purchase I wanted to be extra save, even though the bag had been authenticated by the platform I purchased it on. I myself inspected the bag and thought it was authentic, but one detail made me suspicious. Since that platform is somewhat known for falsely authenticating fake designer goods (won't say which platform it was, you know which one I mean), I decided to get it authenticated by AuthenticateFirst and Voila!, it's a fake. With proof from AuthenticateFirst I got my money back, so the investment was definitely worth it! I've authenticated another bag with them as well (no counterfeit this time) and will continue to do so.
So glad I found this site to verify a recent purchase I made on Poshmark. I looked at other authentication sites but they didn't have the option of providing written verification if needed for a refund/dispute and they didn't seem as legitimate as Authenticate First. The Jimmy Choo I bought checked all the boxes for being authentic and I was pretty sure it was- it just arrived with a weird smell so I wanted a second opinion. I received confirmation in less than 24 hours that it is authentic. I also paid extra to get an estimated value (what a great option for only an additional $5!). To my surprise, it valued at about twice what I paid for it! I'm so happy to have a source to go to for confirmation. Especially with such reasonable prices. Authenticate first is reliable, efficient and trustworthy. I got my Tory Burch bag authenticated and they responded promptly. I am definitely glad that I reached out to then rather than stay in doubt about the authenticity of my bag.
Decided to go with this company and service due to their price and ratings. They offer multiple authentication prices depending on your needs. It's a pretty fast turn around time - 2 business weekdays. They're prompt. I've had them request more pictures one out of the two times I've used them and still managed to Finish my request in a timely manner. Just make sure you THOROUGHLY read everything before placing an "order".
I have used Authenticate First 2x so far and will definitely continue with them, both times there was communication for extra pictures or questions. And got results in a timely manner. I would totally recommend them. Thanks again!
Most of these one star reviews are from people who authenticate only once with this company and from people who only own a few bags. I've handled thousands of handbags in my time and can spot a fake better than most people. I can say I've used this company for probably more than 50 authentications (mostly Chanel, LV and Hermes) and agreed on almost every result. They're not amateurs, they can spot fakes for sure... but don't forget that they're also human. There have been a couple times where I was bothered by some words exchanged but that's life, nothing's perfect, and I'm sure they deal with a lot of crazy people daily.
I got my vintage dior saddle authenticated by them and it was so simple and easy. They were so fast and got back to me within a few hours even though I just selected the normal service. 10/10 would recommend them!

I just used them for the first time. I needed to authenticate two handbags and was struggling to find someone local, or online, who could do it accurately, quickly, and could be trusted. I somehow found their website and after reading it through, decided to have them authenticate the items. I sent my photos to them on Sunday night. By Monday night, I had a determination on both of them. They delivered on their promise, and now I have my answers. I will definitely use them again!

I have used their services a few times as well as other companies and always came back for the fast and reliable service from Authenticate First. I have been buying luxury items for decades and find it so important to have such a service for re-selling to Buyers to give confidence to them plus higher selling prices for me. Authenticate First is easy to use via website or their handy app but you must use high quality photos and great lighting, duh, poor photos don't sell anything! Communication is great, login to see your messages, use their chat if your email is unreliable as some can be. This is a fantastic tool for anyone in the luxury market these days and their fees are such a great value and can't be beat!

They could not help me provide proof for a REALLY obvious, really horrible quality Chinese fake. It was not even close to the real thing. I really regret paying these people. The bag I received was truly laughable, it was utterly ridiculous looking. I thought it would be an open and shut counterfeit case and I only contacted Authenticate First for "proof" of what I knew. Choose another company.
If it was that obvious of a counterfeit - our team would have caught it. How many years of authentication professional experience do you have? Did you have it authenticated elsewhere? Before slandering our business, your armchair authentication should not be publicly posted.
Poor website, no email updates to notify you there are awaiting a response from you. Took too long for the price of $45. I've found cheaper options for $25 that responded the same day and were very friendly. Wouldn't recommend.

I found the review above when I was looking for info on authenticatefirst.com. Boy are they right! This site is just 2 women from Indiana who threw together a website and make money on bogus reviews! They actually made $69,000 last year, their first year of business! I want to say "fake" or "real" and print out a certificate for $$$. What a joke! They have no clue what they are talking about. They were wrong about my Louis Vuitton and someone paid good money for their "expertise". Oh yeah, about that... where is their resume? What makes them experts? Yeah, nothing. They are just new scam artists. Buyer beware!
You are very misguided about Authenticate First, who they are as a company and their authenticators. While 1 of the Founders resides in Indiana, everything else you stated is far from the truth. Our authentication team consists of many authenticators, who reside world wide. Each authenticator has many years of experience in buying, selling and authenticating. Each authenticator also has professional experience in the brand they authenticate. Many of our authenticators work for other authentication companies, well known websites (on their authentication team) as well as volunteer their services on social media sites, such as the Purse Forum. Our clientele includes many well known and reputable websites and consignment shops worldwide. I'm sorry if your agenda was declared fake, but you are more than welcome to get a 2nd opinion.
The review on "The Dirty" was written by a known scam artist, who we exposed for selling fakes. He also altered our authentication letters in order to sell his fakes. He's been sued so many times, he had to close his shops and re-brand under a different name. Again, a very misguided internet post that is far from the truth.

I sent them a Chanel bag to authentic for me. I sent it filled with paper and carefully wrapped to avoid damage in transit. When they received my bag took about 4 days to authenticate (not the 2 mentioned on the website). She let me know it was shipped. I had to request tracking number to make sure of what was going on while I'm transit. When I received my order I was shocked the way they sent it back to me. The purse was folded up, no protection, creases all over... it was really really bad. I'll post pictures. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Go with leather surgeons. They authentic as well as treat bags. They make sure all bags are sent back with care. Needless to say I will not use them again!
You have a Chanel Boy Bag - this style cannot be "folded" up. We send the bag back with all of the packing materials and used the same box. If there's an issue w/the way it was received, get into touch w/the post office to file a complaint, because they must have damaged the box and it's contents. We are happy to supply your tracking # and help w/claims.
Your response to me is a half-truth because you did refund me my money but the damage has been done because I have already paid the seller and now the credit card is going after my $#*! due to your humongous mistake. You said then that you would be sending me a document so that I could submit if I decided to present a dispute and that never came to me so you are lying. But I have not rested and now I will be taking legal action against you for your incredible disastrous mistake. You giving me my money back due to your mistake is not doing me any favor. I am out the more than $2,000 due to your inept and unprofessional service. I have already reported you to the Better Business Bureau also. I sent a fendi bag in for authentication to both Authenticate First and Real Authentication (which is MORE reliable) and AF came back in authentic whereas Real Authentication said the bag was real. I asked Authenticate First to re-asses to bag and they have horrible customer service. The owner says " We understand that another service may provide a different opinion, however, that does not make our opinion wrong just because it's the opinion you want to accept."

Hello; we wanted to address your concerns. The "other" authentication service is not more reliable than AF. I don't know what makes you believe this, but it is wrong. I'm not sure what you mean by "at least refund me if you don't take your authentication seriously." When or what makes you believe we did not take it seriously? In fact, we stated we stand behind our expert's opinion. I'm sorry if you are upset with the opinion, but that does not make it wrong. You asked us to re-review the item based on another service who gave you a different opinion, that's not how this works. The correct course of action in situations like this is to have a 3rd opinion from another service. What you do after that point is up to your discretion.
They compare my clutch to a tote bag and said the item is not authentic. After I checked same item sold in department store and confirmed authentic, Igor back to them. They send photo to show the difference of my bag and the picture provided by their expert. OMG, they are comparing my clutch to a tote bag. They were even able to pull out an inside tag from lining compartment which my clutch does not even have zip compartment. Horrible company who does not even aware they are comparing apple to orange.
Regardless if it's a tote, or a clutch - it bears no difference, as it is still not an authentic Prada product. Examples were not available on the web to use as a comparison for the clutch, so that is why our expert used a tote as an example for you.
The only reason I tried to get my purse authenticated was because I knew it was completely wrecked beyond repair (long story). I wanted to give it to a company that could cut up the material of the LV because that part remained unharmed. I wasn't trying to sell it for a high price, it was just better than throwing away a bag that could be repurposed. Nonetheless, the company claimed that the bag was a fake in every way possible. The customer service was impersonal, distant, and didn't provide any real explanations as to how they came to their conclusion. Their only note (when I asked twice) was: "Reasons include but are not limited to: heat stamps, fonts, hardware and other markings are not consistent with the brand." I know I bought the purse brand new in a boutique that is an LV distributor, so you could see why I'd want to know if I actually paid full price for a fake. They don't have time for that though. :)
We understand how disappointing it can be to find out an item you believed to be real, to turn out fake. There is no such thing as an LV distributor. The brand is very exclusive and distributors are not "a thing". Regarding explanation of why it was deemed fake, this is covered in our terms of service you agreed to prior to placing your order. Not only does our business authenticate via photos, but so do many others. If it was not a trusted and proven method, big companies like Tradesy would not hire us. I'm sorry if you are not familiar with the practice, but that does not make it any less legit. Instead of making FALSE ACCUSATIONS why don't you get your own authentication? There are very few businesses who authenticate in person, so it will not be an easy task.
