I had been looking for a 2017 Chevrolet truck for several weeks now. I had been in contact with Schmitt Chevrolet over the last several days negotiating the price on a blue 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 stock number *******, on a Friday. On the next day, Saturday I checked the online price and it was $33,607. So I contacted the dealership and spoke with both the internet sales consultant, Angela and the salesman, Brent. Brent confirmed the internet price was correct. I asked to give a deposit to buy the truck of which Brent said he would call me right back. Two hours laters I had not yet received a call so I contacted the dealership and spoke with the sales manager and was told the truck was now at $37,000+ and he would not sell the truck to me at the advertised price of $33,607. Really?

How can Schmitt Chevrolet dealership advertise a new truck for $33,607 and tell the customer " sorry the truck is now $37,000+"? I feel totally strung along on the sale and taken advantage of! Over the last 20 years I have purchased 5 GM new pick up trucks! I have never been treated like this before from a dealer. I would strongly recommend... BUYER BEWARE... stay away from this dealership! Would you want to be treated like this. It is obvious they use the old sales tactic "hook... line... sinker".

Buyer... you may consider NOT a GM automobile!

Don't buy a car at the Bowser Nissan Dealership until you watch my video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8U7_e6FVbvs

Eight months ago, `I took my 2019 Nissan Rogue into the Bowser Nissan Dealership, Pleasant Hills, PA. For service.
Front end noise and steering wheel issues has plagued my Rogue for over 8 months.
Steering wheel boot noise and a steering wheel that stiffens and locks up while driving (unsafe).
For 6 months, I drove around in a deathtrap, the Bowser Nissan dealership tried to fix my 2019 Rogue
And couldn't, they allowed me to drive a vehicle that was unsafe. A potential death trap that put me
And my family at risk every time I got behind the wheel.
For some reason the Bowser Nissan dealership could not diagnosis the frontend noise and steering

Chuck didn't have the decency to return my phone calls.

After 7 failed attempts to fix my Rogue, Chad the shop foreman

The service manger eventually denied me service (breach of warranty and good faith).
He told me to take my Rogue to another Nissan dealership for service.

Six months of lies and misrepresentation drove me crazy. This place and everyone in it is morally

AFTER I paid, autotrader disclosed the STANDARD DELAY for the paid posting. Later I edited my ad = EDIT did NOT show on "view live ad."
Called "customer service," and asked why new, lowered, price was not showing on my ad (SHE ASKED for my ad # and security question), I was told the edit takes 24 to 48h to show = First, that DELAY is not the service advertised. Second, there is no need for security protocol TO ANSWER MY QUESTION AS TO WHY my edit not showing. Finally, there is NO CONFIRMATION NUMBER for CANCELING my ad &getting a REFUND (just have to depend on the "put out" attitude of the customer service rep). Car was on autotrader ~3days (this review is not about selling or not selling my car; it's about the customer service = 2 thumbs DOWN!

In the past I have used Autotrader several times with positive results. It's been a few years, but I just had my most recent ad expire. This time my Autotrader experience was so bad I will never use this service again. The first issue was after I paid approximately $50 to post my ad, I find out that if my car does sell, I need to pay an additional $200 at the time of the sale.

I got only three prospective buyers that responded to my ad. Even after I stated in the ad that I would only accept cash or bank transfers, two of the prospective buyers said they would pay me with a cashiers check without even seeing the car. The third prospective buyer was only interested in my providing a CARFAX type document from some website I had never hear of. I was trying to sell a 10 year old car for a very low price. I did not want to provide that document the prospective buyer. All the information was in the ad the allowed the prospective to obtain the historical information they wanted on the car.

I was selling an electric car with a limited driving range. Two of the three prospective buyer were so far away that they would have needed to trailer this car back to where they live. My ad was truly intended for local people that would be OK with the car's limited range.

At the time the ad expired, I got three notices from Autotrader all sent at the same time from the same person that said, "Hi this is Larry Malone, I just came across your listing and I am interested in buying it. What is your final price and do you have the full service history? Look forward to your response. Thanks". I could not respond to Larry because Autotrader had already taken down my ad. As you can see from Larry's comment, he was not interested in seeing the car, only wanted to know my final price.

I felt that AutoTrader Private Seller's Exchange only provided me with scammers and not one real possible buyer. Autotrader talks about how they check out prospective buyers. In my experience, it seems like they do zero checking on buyers. Also, Autotrader talks about accepting payment with a cashiers check without the in person sale of a vehicle. Seems like one of the oldest scams where you get paid with a cashiers check only to find out when the buyer and your car are gone, the cashiers check is fake. You are left SOL with no car and no cash.

Spent $100.00 putting my vehicle on their site, and NEVER received one call. The MORE you pay, the MORE exposure you are supposed to receive. What a WASTE OF MONEY!
