I was really worried that I had accidentally signed out of Backstage and could have missed out on a role, Anna was right on it within hours and I am back on track.
By the way I have my first film on Saturday and I am excited, wish me luck everyone.

I subscribed a year ago. Cancelled the subscription after a few months and have just been charged 101 pounds. I want my money back and I want to be able to cancel me subscription when I want!
After the staff received this information they promptly got back to me, via the reply underneath and email, and were very polite, and then refunded my money - which I thought was very kind of them. Thank you, backstage. It was just a misunderstanding and I appreciate the support offered and given. Best wishes, Isabel
I always try resolve any roadblock on my own. When I need help, I reach out. Backstage helped me in a timely manner with the issue at hand. Now I have another. Will try to resolve it on my own. If I can't resolve it, I'm confident Backstage will be there for me. Thanks again. Al
I received a discount for the first year. Wasn't worth it to me. Tons of emails, not right for what I put down that I was looking for.
Because you get so many emails, you stop looking at them and then they may or may not send one reminding you of your renewal which is double what you paid the first time and they will not refund you even if you never were able to use them the first year.
Hi KT,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Please note that Backstage offers many different ways to manage your emails. In the future, please feel free to contact us if you are having trouble turning off certain email notifications and/or want any advice on how to curb the number of emails you are receiving from us.
We have the option to turn off the auto renewal on your subscription via Account Settings, so if you are certain you don't want to continue your subscription, you can do that anytime before your renewal date. That way, you still have full access for the time you subscribed, but it won't renew.
We also offer a generous refund policy for our users with long term subscriptions that may forget to cancel before the renewal date. As long as you contact us within 14 days of the charge, we will fully cancel and refund your subscription without any penalty. Unfortunately, it sounds like you have contacted us outside of this grace period.
In the future, please contact us immediately if you are having trouble with any aspect of your subscription! We're always happy to help.
I wanted to purchase an annual subscription as a gift. Unfortunately, the process isn't very straightforward. I reached out to the support team via chat and they walked me through it. They were very responsive to my questions and made it easy.
I sent an inquiry through Backstage's Help page, and within a couple hours, I already had a response. Usually, other sites take a day or three days to get back to me, if even at all! I was so pleased with the speediness and the thoroughness of their reaponse. The representative that responded really helped me make a decision to stay away from a potentially fraud agent, that did, indeed, turn out to be a scammer! Thank you, Backstage.:-)
I really like the quick response and how helpful Anna was. I got a friendly vibe that I could be open with my insecurities too. Also, since I'm new and have a long way to go, the conversation I had with Anna gave me a lot of hope since I had mentioned my doubt and the response I received was really nice. So I am satisfied and grateful :)
This site use to be amazing, now it really isn't to great for actor to get there foot in the door when it comes to tv and movies. It has some jobs but.most are un paid and student films. But alot of those you can find yourself for free on criags list or free sites not worth the monthly fee.
Hi Carlos, we're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed with the quality of notices on Backstage recently. Please note that due to the writer's strike, most professional productions are on hold. This is impacting the entire entertainment industry, not just Backstage. We do not recommend encouraging others to seek jobs on platforms like Craigslist or 'free' sites, as most likely those jobs are not vetted for the talent's safety. Please email us at customers@backstage.com if you'd like assistance with making the most out of your subscription in the meantime.
I thought when signing up I would be receiving at least a couple of auditions. Most auditions even for smaller projects required video reels which I do not have because I'm just starting out or I suppose a really great headshot because I submitted to thousands of calls and only got one audition.
If I'm already paying to join the website to get jobs, why the $#*! do you get a 10% cut of anything I make? You're not my $#*!ing agent. Talk about double-dipping, sheesh.
To be fair, there were lots of job opportunities. But again I'm paying to use the website, why do you take a cut out of my earnings.
Hi Jacob, please note the service fee is 2.5%, not 10%. This service fee is only for direct payments via Backstage, and it is used to cover payment improvements and the transaction costs. Casting directors have the option to cover this fee for talent, as well. This feature is optional, so you can always request to be paid through a different method by discussing it directly with the casting director. If you have any other questions or concerns, please email us at customers@backstage.com!
