Last May 27th, my saving account with Bank of America was assaulted.
It reflected a balance of "0" and the title of the transaction says "Hold" "Legal Order, LTS Uxxxxxxxxxxxx". When I called today to speak to a customer service, she told me that I have to call 847-xxx-xxxx. I thought that it was a Bank of America number, but instead it is the legal firm that has assaulted my savings account.
We (Bank of America and I) have a citation to appear this coming June in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois-Municipal Department District. This day is when we will know what has to be paid and who has to pay. I don't think that at this time this legal firm representing the plaintiff has any right to hold my saving account, not before the court day, and I don't think is right for Bank of America to hold my account without anything done in court yet. It is too early to do so, isn't it?
Other mysterious thing happening with Bank of America is related to my checking account.
My online bank statement always reflects 100% of my transactions immediately for several years until yesterday. The last transaction I made yesterday with my debit card still not posted, which is something very weird
As if my banking accounts with Bank of America have been manipulated from inside.
Strange, very strange...
It was a bad experience, but thanks to its website, I've detected the irregularities in my accounts, hopefully, on time to avoid further damages.

*Note: Bank of America has been cited as a third party by Blitt and Gaines, P. C., the latest is the legal firm representing the Plaintiff, a car maker Co. Who used to hire my ex-husband.

RUN
August 12, 2022

I opened a claim in May of 2022 with BOA for fraudulent charges totaling over 1100. 00 yesterday BOA reversed 530.12 of those credits because DOORDASH said I have used them before and this is a pattern of spending so these charges are legitimate.

These charges are fraudulent and unauthorized.

Bank of America refuses to offer a temporary credit as I asked for the claim to be reinvestigated but has asked me- aTwice If I would like to open up a loan to cover MY EXPENSES.

I have spoken two 3 "supervisors" and 3 associates. I have taken a day off of work to DRIVE to a center and wrote a statement to reopen my case. My next stop today is the police department to file a claim with them for fraud that BOA has no sense of urgency for.

I am ASTOUNDED that the money I go to work everyday to deposit to my BOA checking account can just be taken by SEVERAL fraudulent vendors and then also by BOA. I guess I will ask my family for some help until my next pay period to feed my daughter and put gas in my car.

I am absolutely disgusted.

FRAUD! SCAMMERS! VICTIM!
December 9, 2021

Im currently dealing with fraud on my account that if I could have stopped I would have! Due to the fact that it WAS NOT MY FAULT that scammers, hackers, and thief's have robbed me blind and thrown my account in the negative and the fact that my account is ELIGIBLE to be credited my funds back during the process of the claim being settled and it currently days later isn't is HUGE disappointment to me! I feel my family and I are being punished for someone else's wrongful behavior! Ive been mislead by multiple representatives who have all promised and told me something different! BOA definitely lacks in the field of FRAUD! I am starting to feel as if they are on the side with the thief's and scammers which to me is a pitiful shame! I'm lost for words at this moment and feel as if they care absolutely NOTHING about their customers! These claims where filed via phone on December 3RD 2021 at approximatley 1pm my account is still in the negative my money is gone and they are now telling me funds would be credidted to my account on December 17th 2021 which is just not fair! Highly dissapointed and MOST DEFINITELY NOT satisfied with the service I have been provided during this tragedy! On 12/8/21 which was yesterday I was promised by ANOTHER rep that I would see the funds in my account within the next hour YESTERDAY witch turned out to be ANOTHER LIE! I'm furious and livid at the point!

BOA has issued loans under PPP CARES act and then only offered partial forgiveness. Loans under the SBA were granted when they matched your payroll and filed taxes. BOA has failed to issue full forgiveness to thousands of their own customers, & is timing out the option to have them be forgiven. They are offering about 60% forgiveness according to the SBA. The SBA offered a direct forgiveness portal, which BOA will not opt into so their own customers can get the loans forgiven in full. This is not legal, and they are targeting the loan recepients trying to force them to repay the loans taken out in good faith. Forbes did an article on this and despite SBA saying billions of dollars are left to be forgiven, BOA is billing themselves for hours and stalling loan forgiveness. Many loans come due in October 2021, and the loans need to be approved for forgiveness before then. Megan Scholz VP in NC, has removed my loan from forgiveness for being mad at my right to seek full forgiveness. This is not legal. They have traumatized 50 states of people that are holding on to their businesses by a thread. BOA cannot do this and despite hours of efforts, their greed and overbilling, plus 1% interest they are trying to earn on unforgiven balances is taking priority over the right of the borrowers. 99% of loan borrowers used the loans to stay afloat. They are targeting these people to scam them out of being able to survive and owing back money that was told to be forgiven. My loan was on its way to forgiveness, and Megan Scholz withdrew the application (not legal) and then wrote me that my forgiveness amount was "0". This has to be stopped and fixed, there are thousands of business owners suffering the same fate. Forbes article here I ache for myself and other innocent businesses, trying to provide retail services to the public, and being targeted during a crisis, by the bank. https://www.forbes.com/sites/kotlikoff/2020/07/13/another-horrific-bank-of-america-horror-story-that-hundreds-if-not-thousands-are-apparently-experiencing/?sh=57fbe5704ee2

Frozen account
January 10, 2023

I've been receiving state disability for about a year now I've had two major back surgeries. I've worked over 20 years, so yes I have money there. My account through EDD Bank of America state disability was frozen Friday morning I called in to EDD Bank of America they gave me a number and told me to speak to the sponsor the sponsor is state disability, instead of calling I went down to the building to inform them that I have been locked out of my account and that I have money there. They said they saw no error on their end. I was also told that when I call EDD state disability, it was information that needed to be provided to see if I was eligible /eligibility. AnyWho when I went to the sponsor state disability, they saw no issue. I also inform state disability that my account has been frozen and more money was released into my account Friday no money Saturday Sunday no money Monday I went back to state disability and sat outside in the rain for five hours Before I was seen today's Tuesday and still no money. I was told by state disability/sponsor. They are going to mail my checks to me, but what I am concerned about is why is my bank account with Bank of America frozen. When I call EDD Bank of America to ask them to explain what the issue is no one knows. The system only tells them one thing. The bad thing about this whole thing is the bank account is frozen with my money there and I cannot pay my bills and no one can explain to me what happened. Due to this issue, I have overdraft fees I have late fees and no one can explain to me what happened no one has called me. No one is communicating with me if anyone can see this message do I need an attorney to help me with this problem or can someone please call me because I am so lost with this issue. Bank of America has failed me and I feel the soul state disability has done me wrong and I've worked 20+ years in my field and no one is saying anything to me other than I have to wait till the issue was resolved.

My wife and I are just like any other blue collar workers out there. We work hard for a little bit of money. When we get something like a tax return at the beginning of the year we value it greatly because every time of it counts in our family. My wife has been with Bank of America for something like 7 years. She never showed me any proof but she always said that she trusted back of America, that is until the day before yesterday which was February 7th 2022. My wife amidst all this covid bologna, got her Connecticut state return within 5 days of doing her taxes on TurboTax. The DRS mailed her her Connecticut tax return as a paper check in the mail. My wife went on to the Bank of America app took a picture front and back of her check, and cashed her check over her phone. The app accepted her check and told her it would be deposited into her account within two business days. Two business days later we saw that the check had been deposited to her account, but the next transaction on her statement said that her check wasn't valid and the money was withdrawn from her account. My wife panicked because she thought somebody was stealing her money out of her account, and with all the scams going on nowadays, rightfully so. Come to find out two days later when we went to Bank of America, the app had accepted her check deposited the money into her account and then two days later rejected the check and pulled the money back out of her account. There was nothing that Bank of America could do for her because they are all incompetent and the customer service sucks at Bank of America. Now they are telling her that she has to get in touch with the irs, which is the most impossible thing to do next to getting in touch with somebody at the DMV, and have them reissue her a state return check of the same amount, as if that would be possible. Because of their mistake, my wife has to wait most likely 2 months before she can get her State return. Thank you so much Bank of America for all of your garbage customer service. We will not be banking with you anymore.

Worst Customer Support
November 20, 2023

Bank of America has the worst fraud detection system and worst of the worst customer support. Hands down. This is from my three decades of experience on dealing with many banks. I buy a meal at McDonald's and in 5 minutes buy another meal in Chick-Fil-A for the other hungry kid returning from a practice with only one card in the pocket. They decline my charge without giving any explanation and never give an option to approve or deny the charge through the BOA app. I have every single fraud notification turned on from their app. It does not matter. This has happened like 20 times in the last few months. There's enough fund in my checking account, I have a pretty decent corporate America job. It does not matter, they get pleasure on embarrassing the customer by not letting them use their own freaking money when they are waiting at the long line with a hungry 5-year-old kid. Then you call their dreaded customer support. Wait on the line for 30 minutes. Derrick and a few other fraud specialists are great on hanging up on customer. BOA's fraud specialists are eating their own sh-t. No empathy, no understanding of customer's valuable time, they think everyone who is calling them is a fraud. This fraud department dude cancelled my ATM card two months ago without giving me an explanation when I called to dispute ONE charge for the service that I cancelled and the company was still charging me. Fraud specialist Morons. I had to redo 10 different auto-draft payments and wait two weeks to get the new ATM card. Then you keep calling back, get a supervisor, they promise you it would never happen. Happens again in a few days - denying me from spending my own money at the same city in Dallas. This f—ing bank is by far the worst of the worst and has been nothing but a worst nightmare. No comparison, no remorse in exposing this third world kinda service provider and so-called one of top three banks in the U.S. I don't know how the F this bank is still serving people. If the leadership of this bank is seeing my review, they are clueless what's going on with the failure on every level of serving their clients. Such a freaking embarrassment of using the word "Bank of AMERICA." Epitome of total nonsense compliance, risk versus customer focused banking system. They should be named "Bank of the deep sh-t La La Land Nigeria."

My banking card is expiring this month. Still haven't received my new card, it already 07/22/11. Chatted with a costumer service rep in their website. Told me it has been mailed on 07/09/11 and itll take 5-7 business days for the card to arrive. They have no clue what happened to my card.

WHO SENDS A BANKING CARD THROUGH MAIL, NO TRACKING NUMBER, NO PROOF OF DELIVERY, NO SECURITY!

So B of A cancelled/block my supposedly new card, and ordered another new card that has a different account number to my expiring card. Rep told me another 5-7 business days to arrive, during these days no banking card to use.

Fine! But I realized, why can't they send it through Fedex or UPS 2nd day with tracking number, it'll not hurt their business. So chatted again with B of A rep. She told me that I could have asked for the rush service when I ordered the card. What the f...! THEY NEVER OFFERED TO ME THE RUSH SERVICE OPTION, HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT IT EXISTS!

I'll see if I will be able to receive my new card on time, 2nd day Fedex. If not I will close all my accounts on Bank of America! I'll let you all know!

LET'S SUPPORT SMALL BANKS, TO KEEP THESE GIANT BLOODSUCKING BANKS FROM GETTING OUR MONEY. POOR SERVICE, NO CONCERN FOR COSTUMERS SAFETY!

Gluttonous liars
April 2, 2020

My wallet was stolen, I reported it as soon as I noticed and was given credit. It was denied (as always from what I've discovered reading reviews) so I appealed. Was told that you'd be getting in contact and the reveal of credit wouldn't go through until the appeal was decided. That was the 24th.

I got laid off due to a NATIONAL DISASTER. You know the one that your vending over backwards to look like your helping out the little guy deferring mortgages and all that jazz? Yeah that one. I have 5 sons. Find out today that with no warning (and definitely NO contact with me!) The appeal had been denied and you KNOWINGLY threw my account into the red by reversing it, you KNEW there wasn't anything in there AMD you did it anyway!

Ok, I screwed up, I completely forgot I had my pin written down (reason for denial) I'll take it as a hard lesson learned, I even said that. But to tell me that there's nothing you can do is BEYOND the pale! Your talking the last check im getting and have absolutely no shame in it. You literally took food from my kids mouths in lieu of doing ANY investigative work. Your company acted like you were doing me a huge favor by reversing some overdraft fees, fees that wouldn't have occurred IF DUE DILIGENCE had been done.

I immediately call to either be transferred or on hold for almost 2 hours before being told that your taking my last check. That's it, you can't do anything.

But I can. I am going to make sure this treatment of one of the people your supposedly in such support of is everywhere, Google, Facebook, Yahoo, Instagram heck, I'll even figure out Twitter, as a warning to others of exactly what kind of disgusting business practices you condone. My family is already closing all accounts with you and im going to make sure that while you may have a newly single mother's little paycheck it's going to cost you in lost interest in years to come. Now I got to ho figure out how to feed 5 boys on 100 bucks. Thanks for that, cause this mess wasn't hard enough.

I was working with Asterio on my first home purchase, I am reaching out to you because besides being very upset I am also very stressed out, this process is not going as smooth as when it started and although I understand buying a home can be a long process and it being my first time, there is a lot I am not familiar with but I do understand how important communication is and right now communication is what is lacking in your home loan department. I have a family I have to take care of, I also have a move out date on my apartment agreement, not to mentioned I might lose my 5k deposit I put down on my future house and possibly even lose the house, and on top of that I had locked in a rate that has now changed, I don't understand what is going on, so as you can see these are the reasons why I am so upset, frustrated, worried, stressed,. The underwriter assigned to my loan is taking too long to communicate what is needed and therefor my agent has requested an extension for the third time and I am terrified that it will not be approved, and I will lose my deposit and house.
My family and I have anxiously been waiting for this day, today I am scheduled to close and receive the keys to our new home. Unfortunately this is not the first time that I was scheduled for closing! My family and I are packed, ready to move out. My apartment leasing office had granted 3 more days to stay until May 10th. And just now bank of America is telling me I will not close until maybe tomorrow! I understand that Star Radoc is now out of the office for medical reasons and he will no longer be able to assist with the remainder of the closing process. Which no one had mentioned this to me! Karen Hopkins, Todd Malone, John Howarth, Garren Campbell they had said they will help me to have a smooth transition for closing, they just have been giving me the round and round! As you can imagine this day is very crucial and important. Hope you can understand how important and meaningful this situation is to us. Unfortunately I have not had the best experience with the home buying process with Bank of America. I will never recommend any one to bank of America.

I have had it with Bank of America! I couldn't even sign into my online banking! I typed in my password (which I KNOW is my password) and it said Invalid. Then I tried every OTHER possible password it could be (yeah, all of 3) and it wasn't those. Then I went to reset it even though I know there's already a problem if it doesn't recognize my password... and it doesn't recognize my bank card number OR my pin! Just out of the blue - all of a sudden. I checked my statements from the past 2 months (since the last time I was successfully able to log on to BOA) and everything checks out. So it's not like someone hacked my account (and if they did, they wouldn't CHANGE my info lol who does that. They would just take money) so it's just some kind of fu*k up on their part. So I called the customer service number, they have an automated system that NEVER ENDS, so when i FINALLY get to the option of Online Banking, Change Passcode... it tells me no one is available until tomorrow at 9am! IDIOTS! THEY SHOULD HAVE 24 HOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE! WHAT IF SOMEONE IS HACKING INTO MY ACCOUNT AND I CAN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL TEN HOURS FROM NOW? If someone effed with my account and I had no way to contact BOA about it, THEY'RE GONNA PAY!
