Ordered several items from them online since there were a good deal. Then part of my order was automatically cancelled without any notification. I called the customer service. Although people were polite, he did not solve the issue other than saying "I am sorry". If I knew it, I would have chosen other places to buy the stuff. Never return to them again. Not recommended to anyone at all.

I can't believe how horrible this company is to work with! I ordered men's shoes and I did receive them. However it turns out they were actually women's shoes. Nowhere on the description is this stated, so obviously they were too small. I have called customer service 10+ times, on hold for over an hour each time. Every rep tells a different story on their return policy, but all said they were sending me a return shipping label. I never received one. This company is horrible. I wish I had read these reviews before I ordered. I am now going to give the shoes away, as I can see by reading the reviews that I will get nowhere with any returns to this company. I would never order from them again.

Spoke with a Belk employee about my feelings about the store. She informed me Belk is in the process of returning to much of the many things that made them a great store in years past. She said the stores will look like the original stores in many ways such as re-introducing many national brands names and labels. If this turns out to be true I for one will give them another chance. The Belk Name is iconic and needs continue serving the public. Let's keep our fingers crossed they make the improvements and bring the store back to where it belongs.

As an avid shopper of Belk for many years, it's sad to see the decline in product inventory as they move to strengthen their in-house labels all made from terrible Chinese companies. The labels they now "price and feature" are of poor quality. This didn't occur over night but has been in progress the past 5-8 years. Granted, most American Brands are made in China. However, many of them choose to use higher quality cottons and blends whereas Belk goes for the lower quality, lower priced substitutes. The pricing scheme is also ridiculous. They advertise "60% Off Specials" nearly every day. And they even have merchandise 80% off. However, check the brands and the quality and you'll find something marked at 80% off should have been price at that figure. Apparently they have staffing issues due to lower wages paid. Its simply not the Belk of 10 years ago and I'm sad to call it quits shopping there. Even Amazon brands are of higher quality. However, they do have bargains in ladies shoes. Most are cheap enough to wear for 3 months then toss them. My advice, if your looking for temporary clothing, shop Belk. You'll have a maximum of 45 days before it begins to fade, come apart and begin looking like it's 10 years old.

I had an issue with my order. I tried opening a chat on their website and was told they are offline-all the time.
I emailed customer service and got a reply email two days later, saying they are very backed up and don't have time to answer my email, therefore I should try to read their FAQ's to see if this answers my question.
After that I called the customer service #. Waited 42 minutes for someone to answer.
Reason why I gave 3 stars is because the customer service agent I spoke to was very friendly and nice, and even let me return my order for free return shipping.

This store needs help. The bank they use is terrible. Service has gone down so much I hate to go in our store. They waste your time with stupid coupons which aren't good for anything you want to buy. Have been trying to order two comforters all afternoon. NO LUCK. The user name they give me won't work... actually nothing works and I am computer literate. Find another store.

Managers are unprofessional at the Bel Air Mall. Unfair treatment by store manager and HR. Retaliation for doing your job properly and descrimination because you are black. Store manager is a liar. And does'nt care about her managers. Everything is for show. ASM stares up drama and backstab his peers and employee. Bel Air Mall Belk is overall bad energy..

First and last order. Companies like Belk will not survive mid to long term. No return policy and nobody picks up the phone in Customer Service. Learned my lesson and definitely will never buy from this vendor again.

Poor Everything

I ordered 4 items, day by day one was out of stock so left me with 1 item. I would have had free shipping but was charged now. Contacted them and they said they would wave the shipping. Still waiting on that for my credit card 6 days. The flannel shirt I received is about see thru. Very poor quality and waiting for any shipment takes way too long. Never again!

I was sent gifts for my wife and child through this website. The order contained five items, which arrived in four packages on three different days. Ridiculous.

Return process is far from the "easy returns" process they describe, especially if you lose one of the four packing slips. The return also goes back on the gift givers credit card: an additional hassle to explain why I didn't want the gift.

I found an Alfred Dunner "stained glass" woman's top for $58.50 + "free standard shipping on all orders." The price dropped after checking a box for 30% off ($40.95 after coupon was applied). During checkout, the price-checker app, Honey tested out some other coupons which brought the price of the blouse to $38.02. Estimated Tax was $4.36. But as soon as I hit the checkout button, the price would jump to $62.86! I almost hit the "pay now" button before noticing. I tried a few times and each time it wanted to increase my payment to $62.86. I'm done - no sale.

I ordered on Thanksgiving to get good deals. It took 4 hours due to items running out before we could finish. I received an order confirmation, so I did not feel I needed to track their every move. As time went by and my over $200.00 order did not arrive, I called them. Their answer
"we cancelled it because some items were now out of stock" REALLY? You could email or call me to see if I wanted the other items. No apology, no offer to find a similar item. BELK is a think of the past for me! I do all my ordering online and they are by far the worst!

The value of the clothing is not even worth it your money second if you open a credit card via where is on their synchrony bank they're very tough they won't give up even if you have father and charges in your account. They lied to you the store when you step into return items those people they don't even know what the hell they're doing. They're so dumb stupid they should be fired and I can't believe it. They decide to charge me for something I didn't purchase after I spent $700 on them never will use the store. I hope they close down go out of business.

Bad Miss Me jeans

We have ordered a total of 4 pairs of jeans, one was fine, second pair had a hole in the pocket( customer control issue) returned after having driven 30 minutes ordered a replacement pair to find out my order was not in stock, after ordering the last pair received today 7-29-15 I first noticed no tags and paperwork stuck to them, after holding them up you could clearly tell they where used and worn. I proceeded to contact customer service and all he could say is return them to the store 30 minutes from my home! Are you serious. Well belk you just lost another loyal customers.

I purchased two pairs of leggings and they were actually footless tights. The photos on the belk website are horrible quality and misleading. It was expensive to send the return back. I paid $22, then paid $8 return shipping and was refunded about $12. Worst part is I can't leave reviews or do their customer surveys because their website is super buggy and won't load for me! Horrible rip off, I'm highly disappointed. I can't even warn others, it's like they are blocking bad reviews.

Bought wedding gift and took it to customer service for gift wrapping. They were out of two of the four choices of paper. I waited 35 minutes for a wrap job I could have done better myself. The paper was wrapped around crooked making the stripes look weird. Then she folded the paper on the wide sides instead of the narrow ends making it look trashy. She did this pitiful attempt while answering and transferring calls, as well as, chatting with each and every employee who meandered back for a chat. I won't sit for this again!

If I could rate Belk with negative stars I would. I received a package with sewage in the glass decanters. And the box was marked It Doesn't Work. But they shipped it to me anyway. I am beyond disgusted. I received them as shown in the pictures attached. I literally threw up. I can't believe any company would ship this out to a customer. I am on hold for customer service now. I am in shock.

Bought a dress, it was too big, and color was way off from the photo. Because they didn't have the item in a smaller size, the associate on the phone said they would e-mail me a code for free shipping, so I could return it. Great I thought! Long frustrating story later, I have been to fed-ex three times, gotten 4 different codes e-mailed to me to try-none of which will scan! These codes were obtained each time directly from an associate, one was given after she talked to a supervisor, or (so she said). Fed-ex was great, and tried to get the e-mail sent to them, but no go. Of course each interaction with the associates was complicated by wait times, piano music, and prompts! The associates however were pleasant, and it's the only positive thing I can say. Still have the dress-might bite the bullet and keep it-I don't know if I can take one more disappointing, stress inducing trip back to Fed-ex!

Whenever I looked up "PS4 Spiderman bundle black Friday" on Google, this is the first result. When you go to the website it says "In stock" right there. When you go to look at your bag it still says "available". Then, when you get to check out, it's "out of stock".
I was hoping to order from this site to not have to deal with black Friday rushes, but it caused me to miss out on the deal anywhere else because I showed up a half hour after the sales started at my local stores.

Great Experiance!

Can honestly say that Belk's has to be the most trustworthy and every one knows that if it costs a little more for quality then so be it! Just received my husbands watch and it was exactly what we wanted! I just had the same watch stolen from a package from a different company because of the packaging cheep and now I'm going through a lot to just get my money back! I've shopped with Belk for over 30 years and can honestly say they are a great business!
