Just had a terrible experience that could have been prevented had anyone at Belk cared about their customers. I tried to place an order online last night and it wouldn't go through. I tried repeatedly. Wasn't anything I did wrong and just to be sure my husband tried too. He's a web developer and he couldn't get the site to work either. Customer service hours shut down early and so does chat (!) so I sent an email and called today.

First of all, the response to the email showed the email was not understood. They extended the coupon that expired last night, although the link they gave me didn't help so that was useless. But that wasn't the main problem I wanted to address and the fact I couldn't order was ignored. So...

I called Belk and talked with Heather. She told me the sales price ($12 vs. $15 per item today) couldn't be honored as I failed to provide a screen shot of the sales price to prove it. #1 - BELK should know their own prices, and #2 - really? I have to prove $3 off to you? She acted as though I should have KNOWN a screen shot was imperative. I asked for a supervisor. After a few minutes, Heather came back on the line and told me the supervisor agreed with her. Could I talk with the supervisor myself? No.

That's when I informed Heather I was taking my and my family's business elsewhere and would be warning everyone I could to stay away from Belk. Got a request to review Heather shortly thereafter and I most definitely DID review Heather's TERRIBLE attitude towards customers.

I should have been believed. It should not have been my responsibility to prove Belk's price. And I should have been treated politely and I should have been referred to the supervisor. We've been Belk customers since 2009. Not anymore!

I would give them 0 stars if I could. This was my first and LAST experience with Belk. I ordered a dress that I wanted and that was at Nordstrom but with shoes I bought, the Belk price was about $20. Less. BIG MISTAKE. The dress did fit weirdly, as reviews suggested, and the size wouldn't work but I loved the dress and decided to exchange it. This was an online order; I do not live near Belk stores. I called customer service the day the dress arrived to make arrangements to return it. The man explicitly told me that I would be emailed a shipping label, to return the dress, and a new one would be automatically sent to me. First, I waited 4 days before they finally sent the shipping label. I mailed the item back immediately. I noticed on their site that they only had 2 of the dresses left in the size I wanted and I was concerned I might not get one. I simply didn't have the money to order ANOTHER dress and be out more money even temporarily. This second call was disaster. I was put on hold numerous times by the latest customer service rep for a total of about 15 min. I was then cut off while waiting for a manager. I didn't call back. By this time I had had it. I did email them explaining what happened. This time they gave me a COMPLETELY CONTRADICTORY STORY. They said I would NOT be sent an exchange as promised. They said I had to place a whole new order. Well, not only would I have to wait for my refund to do that, but the dress was NOT listed at the sale price that I had paid because I bought 2 items. I was stressed and completely disgusted.
They were very 'meh' in their response to me, like 'who cares'? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
I ordered the dress from Nordstrom. I paid a few dollars more, but honestly it was worth it! Nordstroms has always been fantastic with no hassles like this, ever.
BOTTOM LINE: I will never shop at Belk again or recommend them.

Ordered cosmetics and needed to return 2 of them. Their policy on their store receipts and online order receipts states that items can be returned within 180 days with receipts. I attempted to return 2 cosmetic items (within 180 days with receipts) and was told that I could not return cosmetics due to Covid. THAT WAS NEWS TO ME! WHY DIDN'T THEY LET THEIR CUSTOMERS KNOW THEY HAD CHANGED THEIR POLICY? (EVEN WALMART LETS YOU RETURN COSMETICS!). Their "NEW" policy (A small sign at the register) states that cosmetics (along with other items) can not be returned due to Covid if the seal is broken. High end cosmetics do not seal their products... therefore, no seal is present and therefore, no return! I do not think that Lancome and/or Estee Lauder would prohibit a refund or exchange to keep their customers happy and coming back! DO NOT BUY FROM BELK UNLESS YOU KNOW FOR SURE THAT YOU WILL KEEP THE ITEM! OTHERWISE GO TO TARGET, KOHLS OR WALMART TO MAKE YOUR PURCHASE. IF YOU WANT TO PURCHASE HIGH END COSMETICS, GO TO DILLARDS!

Rude, poor Management
September 4, 2016

I purchased a watch as an anniversary gift to my husband. The watch was a Mavado bold motion which is a very costly watch. I didn't realize at the time that the sales person packaged my watch in the wrong Movado box and bagged did it for me. I drove 2 1/2 hours to get home to give my husband his gift. When he opened the box he realized that there was no charger included and it was not the correct box. The next day I called the store and explained my situation. The store manager was unwilling to help, nor did she care. I called back later and spoke to a different manager and she was worse. Both managers tried to convince me but I was wrong and that it did not come with a charger. They tried to make me feel like I was inconveniencing them. They told me they would send me instructions to figure out how to use it. I explained to them I don't need instructions I need the charger. They continued to tell me that it doesn't come with a charger, it was pre-charged at the factory, I need to send it back every two years to be recharged etc. When I tried to tell them they were wrong, they got upset. I told them to go on the movado website and look it up themselves but they refused. Needless to say the situation is not resolved as of yet. I will have to spend $85 in gas and five hours worth of driving in order to try and resolve this situation face-to-face. The manager asked me not to come to the store because they could not find the box or the charger. Finally the manager did not know how to resolve my situation so she hung up on me and that was the last time I spoke to them before calling the Belks customer service line to complain.

Used pans and defective

Recientemente compre un pantalon izod, tomo mas de 2 semana para llegar y cuando llego, recibí un pantalon usado, con etiquetas escrita a mano, y ademadas el pantalón esta defectuoso, las costuras estan chuecas, y yo tengo que pagar los costos para regresarlo y no se que mas cargos
