Waited over a week to be told my item was out of stock. My other item arrived 1+ week later and was a size too big but after realizing it was coming out of my pocket to return I kept it. Customer service was awful.
I bought 4 items online because they were out of stock for a particular item I needed for a wedding. I get my items in the mail within a few days which is awesome but of course the item i needed for the wedding was in the wrong color. I called immediately and said they would get everything taken care of and send me the correct color. Two weeks has gone by now and they just YESTERDAY put it in to expedite the process. I called on four different occasions and asked for them to email or call me after getting some type of update. I never received anything. I love Belk and shop there all the time but will never order anything online again. This is absolutely ridiculous and HORRIBLE customer service.
Don't get me wrong I love the store and I love the clothes. They have an excellent selection of plus sizes. But as far as customer service goes don't hold your breath because you will find no one unless you walk all over the store to find somebody who's working at whatever register. I'm a disabled person it's hard for me to get around and I got so hot and exhausted mean in that store today just for about 45 minutes that I had to leave and I was not even done shopping. And that's because I had to go all over the store to find help to find out prices of stuff because nothing absolutely nothing but clothes have a price on them. I saw that 10 things that I wanted in housewares and I couldn't get them because there was nobody to ask how much they were and I was so exhausted by the end that I could not load them all in the buggy and then try to find somebody
I ordered a suit jacket and coat from Belk's online… the jacket came stuffed in a small box with no type of plastic wrapping. The jacket was so wrinkled. The pants were same exact way. I reached out to Belks and they did nothing!
Slow and not user friendly when it is working. It is Black Friday and it isn't working at ALL! Nothing like being prepared for the busiest shopping day of the year. Corporate is too busy focusing on the next expensive glossy flyer to send to your mail box or the next tv ad than focusing on things that really matter. Get someone that works in IT to fix this problem... and focus on what is more important.
I cannot tell you exactly how many jeans I have tried on to come up with a correct fit, the labels are all marked wrong on sizing and the t shirts I have been wearing for a few years (Coast Line, another) XL are all short and improper sized. This leads me to believe all the clothing is all seconds. I have been shopping Belk for years but honestly I am finished there unless its an emergency.
I placed an order at Belk online on 12/3/13 and my credit card was charged on 12/6/13. Today is 12/23/13 and I am still waiting. I have called 4 times and each time been assured my order will ship shortly, 2 times I was told it would be shipped with over night shipping. On 12/19/13I was told that it was being given high priority and today told that they were waiting to hear back from some office. Probably last time I will be ordering from Belk. This is the first time I have ever written a review od a company online.
Company puts a hold on your bank account for your entire purchase. Then they charge you again as merchandise is shipped. The hold they put on you account for total amount can take up to 7 days to be released back to your bank account AFTER the second charge is made. BEWARE... this will cause your bank account to be charged double and could possibly lead to OD charges if it is a large purchase or if you live check to check like most people do.
I tried four times to purchase online. I re-entered a credit card number I use every day for online purchases, and a debit card for my checking account. Each time the card was rejected, however a hold was placed on both accounts, for a total of $850. I called the store and they were able to place the order over the phone. They would not, however, remove the holds on my accounts.
I would have abandoned this order and store, but it was where my nephew registered for his wedding. If you need to order from them, do not use their web site, call on the phone.
Got charged twice on my credit card for the same order. I put in my credit cards details and placed the order but an error message popped up saying then order could not got through because of an issue with the payment card so I tried again using paypal the second time and the order went through.
I received afterward 2 sms from my bank confirming I was charged for the first transaction although there was an error message as well as the second on paypal. Sent about 10 messages to Belk customer services and only got an automated message asking me to return the order to tthe shop.
Amazing how they are still allowed to operate when they are essentially stealing money from people
My first and last order from Belk. Ordered 4 items 2 arrived broken 1 never arrived and the last a levian ring looks used possibly sized... 3 calls to customer service and last one said first 2 didn't know what they were doing and cancelled the reship and now I wait for a review process! Levian should pull their product
Customer Service Rep literally said " I'm just not in the mood for this today" HORRIBLE! I will never do business with Belk again. I was not trying to do business with them this time. Somehow their system placed an order for something I got 2 years ago. Too bad there isn't a Zero Star rating
An order placed 3/2022 finally arrived 8/2023. I called Belk to make a return, as I no longer wanted the item that was delivered 1/ 1/2 years later! I was told I could not get my money back because it had been longer than 9 months and they could not see orders older than 9 months! The funny thing, the first person I spoke with was going to give me back the majority of my return to my original form of payment and the rest in a gift card. How could she do it and the supervisor I spoke with can't. A company this size and they don't keep records? Anyway, they sent an e-giftcard. I don't want to order from a company that will not put the money back on the original form of payment, especially when it was not my fault this happened. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY! I order occasionally online from them...we don't have Belk in our area. Very disappointed in their customer service. I wonder how long they will be in business with this kind of customer service. Very disappointing.
I ordered a handbag for over $200. I wanted to return it and said I would have to pay for the shipping whereas all the reputable people send a shipping label. I will never ever buy anything from them again. I gave them 1 star because there was not a zero 0 star.
Belk used to be great, now I will never shop again! The Clarksville, TN store has turned into a super Walmart that appears to stock used items that have been jacked up in price then they make you think you are getting great deals! These are items that have been sitting in warehouse for years! Online is even worse! Ordered several items on one order. Order was broken down into many deliveries. Belk sent email with total charged on my credit card for breakdown. When credit card came it was different amount.almost all the items had to be returned in which they charge me for shipping. It has been almost a month to receive all the order and now still returning items. I feel many of the items are not as the appear in photos. The quality is much different and even the styles. One pictures shows that it should hit at hip area and it barley hit waist. The items are hugely different then what I believe I was purchasing. I cannot return any more to the local store as they have allowed in the past. Many items appeared to be well used. L I believe the charges when broken down and the high fees to ship is how Belks in making their money. I feel it was fraud.
After purchasing shoes that teh description was not what it looked like. Called to ask for help in the shipping after it said free returns and agent super RUDE AND UNhelpful. Be careful do not buy anything here.
My daughter was given a coat as a gift. It did not fit and we do not have a Belk's in our state. They told me they would forward my request to upper management and I would hear back from them in 24-48 hours, I still have not hear back from them 23 days later. Nice coat, but bad customer service.
They charged $25 interest in one month on my $23 bill which I neglected to pay for one month. I like their store and I like their employees but this is no way to treat a wealthy customer. I may shop there again but I shredded my credit card and I will take every opportunity to spread the word on this
Website says free shipping on $75. Or above My order is $77.46. They keep telling me shipping charges will fall off when added to charge card. I guess they thought it would not be noticed by dividing it into two departments. Will take my business to Dillards. I'm tired of being lied to and scammed. Think twice before buying from Belk online...
I placed a order for a bed set on Saturday night and received a confirmation email soon after, the next day I decided to check my order status but it just says "order number and email don't match up please reenter". I looked all over the confirmation email to no avail for a order number. After reading these reviews its made me incredibly anxious and I went to customer service and submitted an email, tried chatting with a agent (that had just ended the chat on me), and I have tried calling but only to get "we're super busy". Has this happened to anyone else and have you still received your order?
