I've been trying for several days to place an order. I can look at a page on the site, but when clicking on an item nothing happens. Pages won't load at all after the first one I'd like to place an order for items that aren't available in the store, but apparently that will not happen. Very annoying.

Belk in Tuscsloosa, AL

This particular store has very poor customer care. I like to shop in Belk but there's rarely anyone around to help. If you do track someone down, they aren't willing to happily help. They will do their best to escape you. In fact, the employees I've encountered have been curt and unprofessional. They act as if you're bothering them. This store is grossly understaffed for some reason. I hope they get their act together. This is why people have been shopping more online than in stores. Poor work ethics among Belk staff in Tuscaloosa, AL. They could use some educational classes on how to treat customers!

We had the best experience ever at Belk in Land O Lakes FL. Our sales associate was Meena! She was so helpful and went above and beyond her duty. She helped us find what we needed and was a joy to serve us and went out of her way to help us. We were visiting from Texas. Thank you thank you!

My wife purchased some jewelry online, It was a registered package. She never received the package
And FedEx said it was signed and delivered.
When trying to resolve the issue with customer service the agent was not helpful and hung up on my wife. She refused to let her talk to a manager or someone who could resolve issue.

We shop at Belk often and have no complaints about the store or the employees. The complaint is about the website to pay online and to actually get a person on the phone to assist you is nearly impossible.
I'm very close to discontinue the use of my Belk credit card.

Easy spirit sandals

Terrible!

Ordered a bottle of cologne online, called customer service right away because I ordered the wrong size, the customer service representative couldn't help me... I had to wait on the phone for a while then she said I had only 15 minutes to cancel or change my order... Really? I was on the phone waiting on them to answer it! I'm not ordering anything else from this store. Now I'm stuck with the wrong order! Terrible customer service!

This company is no longer owned by the Belk family and has become the worst possible online retailer. They ship the wrong merchandise. They ship to the wrong address. Their incompetent customer service team, Josh, Alex, Kayla and Tasha are the worst. After months of errors one after the other from the afore mentioned team, they decided they could not manage their errors and gave up on trying to solve their problems. I contacted their corporate offices, equally incompetent, without a response. The Belk family would turn over in their grave if they could see what this new company has done to their name sake. You can look up the company at the better business bureau and get a link to their corporate executives. One look and it will become clear why this company is a disaster.

Jewelry clerk

It is my birthday and my husband and I went into Belks in Hilton Head to buy a piece of jewelry. The clerk in there was very unhappy and snooty. She never smiled and acted like we were bothering her. We were not happy with her attitude

I returned an order using the return label included in my order. I contacted customer service to see if they received it- turns out there was an additional label that needed to be paid for. No where did it say this on the packing slip or return form. Every other place I have returned an order to that says attach included label and return, was indeed what it meant. Confused by the customer service, I have essentially just lost an order in the mail!? I have returned things I've ordered online from other stores before, and I read the instructions included with my order many times to ensure I was returning correctly. They were of no help when I contacted customer service, they need to update their instructions so people aren't losing orders in the mail! I planned to re order the shoes I was returning in a larger size, but not anymore.

We're going to do some shopping at Belk store in Murrells Inlet in Myrtle Beach. The bathroom smell horrible. You could smell it in the area where the women clothes were. It not because someone used it. It smelled like it wasn't cleaned for days. When we smelt it we didn't do any shopping we turned around and left. This is my favorite place to shop.

Belk is lucky to have such a on top of everything employee like Alex Jones is. I came into the store to shop and I use a cane right now. I could not find a cart and shopping is not easy for me without cart. He dropped everything, asked if he could help me and quickly found me a cart to use. He is very personable, friendly and helpful and all Belk employees could learn something from the way he does his job.

I purchased a Napier stretch bracelet that came in good condition, but once I put it on, the bracelet was huge and stretch out so back it went! I should have read their return policy is on your dime. By the time I packed it back in the bubble wrap envelope and drive it to where they suggested to send it back. Do not go to UPS because they charge not only for the package, but a surcharge fee to take it to the rural return center. Riddicules! Back to Fed Ex which charge me $10 for a $! 5 bracelet. The post office is more with all their fees. I will never buy from Belk.Com again. Not even a pre-paid label does Belk provide. Go to Amazon for easy returns where you can go to your nearest Kohls store and hand it off to them to scan right away. Instantly, your refund is to your credit card before you get out the door. None of this nonsense of packing, writing your own label and paying high shipping fees! No wonder they declared bankruptcy this year, which I just read about.

Return issues

Terrible store. Will no longer shop at belks. Return policy is not displayed at time of policy. I bought a pair of expensive sandals online. Never been worn. Only tried on and too small. All packing is in the shoe box and still have the shipping box. Trying to get help from someone is nearly impossible. The stores are nasty. Looks like a yardsale. My husband bought a shirt and looked awful after the first wash. It is a expensive shirt.

Rap Music at Christmas
December 21, 2022

I was in the River Crossing Store in Macon, Ga on my lunch break. Upon entering the store all you could hear was a rap type music (with cursing) I was very offended by this. Even when I went upstairs to the children's dept. you could hear this music. It is Christmas! This is not what you want to hear in a Dept Store. I shop at this store frequently and do a lot of business online but after today they have lost my business. This was absolutely ridiculous and I can't believe a store manager did not say anything about this. When I called the store which took hours - no-one would answer the phone, the manager could have cared less. I am so disappointed because I have always loved shopping Belks.

I've been a belk customer for over 30 years and have always been happy with the quality of service, my purchases and tbeir prices. I've never had a issue with any item that I needed to return, however can't say I've had many. Its a great place to shop.

Belk Beware

Several weeks ago I made my first purchase with Belk. My charge card company sent me a warning that looked like Belk charged me twice for this. This begun the nightmare. Their phone lines have hours wait time so I sent a message. Days later I got a response that it would be taken care of. After several more days when not taken care of, I sent another message. Then day's later I got a response that I was given incorrect information and pending charges would take time. I responded that they were incorrect. The charges were and have been charged to me and are not pending. Explained they charged me twice! No Response since. Has been weeks now with numerous emails asking for a manager, for a response but nothing. How does Belk get away with this?

I ordered a pair of shorts as a gift for a friend from Belk. I waited 10 days for my item, and yet every time I went to track the shipping, my order was still "in progress". I proceeded to call customer service just for them to tell me that the item was out of stock and that my order had been dropped. Nowhere on the website nor on my order information had it said "out of stock" for the 10 DAYS after I ordered. Belk did not think to email me this information? If I had not called, I would never have known that I will not be receiving my order. I have never been more frustrated with a company and I will never shop with Belk again.
