I've been super lucky and found some great deals on open box items via the website. Got my son a pretty spectacular gaming laptop for Christmas at around 60% off the regular price.
Overall, Best Buy is a complete joke. I've complained to the Better Business Bureau about this company. They are complete rip off. I can't wait until Amazon buys them out and they shut down. They literally stole a package and refused to give me my money back. I found the police report, and they never refunded me for the amount. Then for complaining, they placed me on a no online order or store delivery order List as if I would purchase from them again.
Zero Stars for Best Buy of Palm Desert the absolute worst place to go for repairs of any kind in the desert! I brought back a repair that they did that worked great but needed some fine tuning that they told me about beforehand. Came back to pick up my fairly New Laptop and they said it went Blue Screen and was toasted and there was nothing that they could do about it and that was it they could not give me back my laptop that worked good when I brought it in and now it was toast! I demanded all of my money back and they told me that they could only give me back just part of what I had "just" paid them for their repair contract, etc. I demanded again and finally got the top manager to refund all of my money and I went home and fixed the damn thing myself and I don't have clue about computers and Now it works better than ever! These people are GED rejects one and all!
They are the worse! They do not delivery what they promise, when they install they do it wrong, they reschedule time and time again, they don't know what they are doing. Unprofessional. If I could give them a rating less than 1, I would! -20 stars is what they deserve. We will never buy from them again, and I will definitely express this to all of my family, friends, business associates, collogues, and acquaintances.
I went into a physical best buy store, brought a couple of items with cash and purchased the complete care. Found out the items wasn't the right ones so I took them back. Best buy let me know they would not give me cash back butail me a check, at the store they said no worries give it up to 7 days. I called to check on it over the phone and the representative told me they lied it is 14 business days or they have up to 6 weeks! So with that being said I won't have the money in time to get the gifts for my kids!
I have always bought my computers and laptops and cameras at Best Buy and I have always bought the extra protection because if something happens to your product you can take it back and the Geek Squad knows exactly what they're doing. They have the smartest people working there ever.
For the patient buyer that chooses what they wants and waits for the right price, Best Buy is a great place to check regularly. Online shoppers can often get free delivery and if there is a problem can return at the store, a big time saver. If you are also an eBay shopper, you can use the Best Buy site to find what you want then buy it on the Best Buy eBay store to also score eBay Bucks.
For those impulse and immediate replacement purchases of quality electronics and computer accessories, Best Buy frequently has the best regular price as well.
I bought an stroller and car seat on a rewards website though best buy with points from my Visa. When the stroller came in the mail, it was defective and had flimsy construction. I took the stroller to the store and they refunded me completely even without the original packaging. I went a few days later to return the car seat too (also without original packaging) and received a refund. I ordered another stroller and car seat from the website and I am very pleased with it!
There is always someone nearby to help and they ask you A LOT if you need help with anything. It just seems like they have less and less of a selection every time you go in and the selection they DO have is way overpriced. I have gotten some nice, long lasting items from there and it has some great quality electronics, but where are the rare Amiibos and stock that was great before?
Best Buy is a joke. I was foolish enough to purchase the Total Tech membership when I recently purchased an iPad. I bought a tv on Dec. 1st and scheduled a delivery and installation, a service covered by my Total Tech membership. I scheduled the appt. For 12/7, between noon and 8 pm (no option for a smaller window). I sat for 8 hrs. And Best Buy was a no show. They had rescheduled my appt. For 12/8, again between 12 & 8pm. I waited for 7 hours+ before I called about 7:15 and asked when I could expect the installer. I was told he would be there in the next few minutes after completing the job he was almost done with. They said he would call me when he was on the way. Never got a call and the tech never showed. I then discover that they have rescheduled my appt. For…are you ready…December 23rd, between noon and 8 p.m.! My advice, don't waste your money on the Best Buy Total Tech membership or, for that matter, anything from Best Buy.

Still waiting for installation so I haven’t been able to use the tv. I tried to use my Total Tech Membership but the promised installation has not happened because the installation appt. has been changed by Best Buy twice, the last date change was for over 3 weeks after the original purchase date.
We have a 55" tv we purchased 2 months ago that has been totally cutting out after about an hour for over a week now. We took the tv to the Best Buy store but because it was 55" they wouldn't take it stating Geek Squad needed to come out. So we brought it back and called the Geek Squad. We were on hold for over an hour. We used 2 phones to call but still could get through. Once we did get through we were told we would have to call the manufacturer. So 4 hours later we finally got to talk to the manufacturer. When i paid for the tv and the extra support plan at Bestbuy I did not realize we were going to have to "pay for the tv again in our time of sitting waiting for Best Buy to respond! At this point I am very sad how many products I have bought for my home and my business, way more that $100,000, because their customer service is lousy!
I've bought numerous tech devices over $300, and IMO sales and delivery services are fine. It's getting assistance AFTER THE SALE that is highly irritating.
There seems to be a lack of uniformity in help…with reps not taking responsibility! ITR, no one seems to consider unique situations - and only fall back on SOP! Come on, good company but get an advanced manager to set up communication channels to enhance customer service. It's an easy fix for better ratings!

I needed a quick performance ram (memory) installed into my PC they knew what I needed and how much so yeah quick I went to the nearest store and it took 1/2 of an hour PC is Blazing! But (obviously) I had to travel. I'm pretty sure they are the only retail left w/ megs of ram on the shelf.
I purchased some items online from Best Buy during Black Friday. On Dec 7 they canceled my purchase. After spending 93 minutes on the phone with them they said the package was damaged at their wearhouse and they wouldn't delivery it to me. I am okay with that, who wants damaged products? But they also would not send me replacements (they are still available) at the Black Friday prices. Terrible results. Bait and switch or disceptive sales practices, either way who wants to do business with these people? They should honor their agreement to sale me what they said they would for the price they agreed upon

I have a complaint from you. I bought a handfree from the Best Buy website about 2 weeks ago. After I received it, I saw that it was not suitable for me and it hurt my ears very much and it was not comfortable at all. I immediately requested a return it but Best Buy said
that we didn't sell it, you should send a message to the seller. I sent a message to the seller and they treated me very badly and did not accept. I made this purchase on the credit of Best Buy and I am really sorry and upset. If I had bought from Costco or Walmart, they would have given me full service. I ordered a Fire Sense tabletop patio heater from Best Buy online and had it shipped to me. When I began to set it up, I noticed parts were used. The grill where the heat emits from showed oxidation, rust, and smelled of propane; the cylinder which houses the igniter had dirt and black residue from being outdoors and being lit. The heater looked like the warehouse put together a Franken-heater of new and used parts.

They were not able to help me and directed me to call *******289 because a trade in was involve. I spoke to a Representative by the name of Jake (he was very RUDE). He said at first he couldn't make the adjustment but later in the conversation said he would make a one time adjustment, but he said because of a statement I made he will not make the one time adjustment. I guess I have to take the laptop back and repurchase on the sale price, which makes no sense. I do regret buying the total tech plan. I ask to speak to a manager/supervisor to see if I can get a Manual override or adjustment. I have shop with Best Buy for years and have never experienced this before. I am a Real Estate Broker and referred a lot of clients to Best Buy for appliance needs. So upset they Don't honor Price Match as advertise.

Mediocre service, couldn't get my questions answered clearly when tv shopping. Had to go to forums. They delivered on time but, I wouldn't go back to them unless they had some crazy sale where I'd be stupid not to buy.
I thought I was buying a webcam when bought Cyberlink - YouCam 8 Deluxe. The pic included a webcam and "Youcam" is in the title. Neither the words "software" nor "download" were in the title or the description but it was only a software download. Online chat refused a refund.
So much stuff is op af at this place can't buy anything there without feeling like I've been robbed I just want what I pay for to be worth it and not find out my buddy got the same tv for 500 cheaper at Costco
I purchase a washer and dryer 04/07/2017 and the dry is rusting out already it's unbelievable I can't understand you pay all your hard earn money for a product the is not worth it the style is nice but the buck isn't worth your dollars the name samsung you would think the product is well worth it but at the end of the day you'll be highly unhappy and very much dissatisying
On November 25,2020 Best Buy Company stole from me. Blatantly, willfully and with malice by indifference. On order # BBY**************. The manager that I met with about it on December 6,2020 really didn't care. His attitude was, "Tough luck." I got a text notice that they were taking my item to the curb for pickup, to which I replied, 'Hold for entire order pickup.' Later they said my item was picked up but it wasn't by me, and they are charging my card anyway. Now I am super careful to guard my I.D. and I really don't think they checked it when someone picked up my order. They refuse to admit any liability for releasing my order to the wrong person. Has anyone else noticed sloppy security or indifferent ID checks with curb pickup?
Placed an online order 10 days ago. Waited to receive my order. Called customer service for the status, and they said to wait 3-5 business days. Called the second time, and they told me to wait for up to 48 house to investigate. I waited, then called again, customer service said they need another 3-5 business days to investigate.
Canceling my order, what a waste of time.
Every time I use the in-store services of either the Geek Squad or other departments, I am truly amazed at the depth of knowledge and, especially, the demeanor of ALL employees. Yesterday, I dealt with "Joshua" at the Shertz/Selma Texas facility with computer problems. Joshua was truly exceptional in every possible way. The respect he provided towards me and my problems could not have possibly been better. Best Buy should be proud of their employees everywhere.
Extremely worst service from bestbuy. Extremely worst delivery service. The delivery person just left my expensive apple watch in some other location and picture he posted doesnt even match my address/building. The delivery person didnt even get a signature. They work with extremely poor delivery service companies. Bestbuy said it will take weeks/months to give a replacement. They dont even have mechanisms to track their delivery. The customer service is not able to offer any solution at all. After talking for 1 hour the customer service just cancelled my call. There is no way to escalate this situation or get the money back. Bestbuy takes its own time to investigate and I dont even know if I will get a replacement. It is very risky and unreliable to buy at bestbuy. I will never order anything from bestbuy again. Really surprised to see such an awful service by a big company like bestbuy.
I buy photographic accessories from them. Always good and knowledgable staff plus you know what you're getting. Not the least expensive but okay if you have to buy local and you don't have the time to wait for something to come from online. I recommend them.
Never go to this store. Terrible customer service, uneducated employees, aloof management, and overpriced products.
Tried to have a head unit and a camera installed here. Took four visits for a total of 20 hours. Damage done to the runners on both sides of the vehicle. Work looks terrible. Loose wires, crossovers unsecure hanging, and he didnt even bother to secure the fuse in the engine compartment. Left with half of the features not working on my head unit and will have to pay someone to balance the amplifier. Installers name is Brandon Shumate. DO NOT LET HIM TOUCH YOUR CAR!
