I've been super lucky and found some great deals on open box items via the website. Got my son a pretty spectacular gaming laptop for Christmas at around 60% off the regular price.
Overall, Best Buy is a complete joke. I've complained to the Better Business Bureau about this company. They are complete rip off. I can't wait until Amazon buys them out and they shut down. They literally stole a package and refused to give me my money back. I found the police report, and they never refunded me for the amount. Then for complaining, they placed me on a no online order or store delivery order List as if I would purchase from them again.
I was lucky enough to find a fabulous stereo system for a great price on their website. I ordered and my item came to my house in what seemed like no time at all! The packaging adequately protected my item from damage during transit. I'll definitely be buying here again.
Washing machine was broken down, so had to buy new one. Arrived in expected delivery day and they called me a lot. But anyways i got the machine in time.
I almost got double charged tho. I can't say full story, but best buy call customer service dude did pretty decent job at it.
Overpriced but they do price match. Why drive to their stores though when you can just order it online from someone cheaper in the first place? Some people do like to see and touch though which is in my opinion the only reason they are still in business. Probably also that there are still a lot of people out there that don't trust buying things off of the internet yet, once they catch on Best Buy will fade away.
With the recent purchase at Best Buy I had found their prices are really good. The shopping experience was very pleasurable and they have a really good selection. One of the biggest problems with shopping in Best Buy is they have way too many things to choose from, not really a problem.
The only place I saw that they needed improvement on with their sales associates were not very knowledgeable about the products. This makes it a little bit difficult when it comes to choosing what you need to get. But everything else works out really well, and if you have enough time you can always find somebody who knows something about everything.
If I could give zero stars I would. The customer service is seriously misnamed- "customer we don't care" would be more appropriate. I have spent thousands of dollars with them over the years and will not spend another dime. Amazon, Target, Costco, and Walmart should send them a big thank you since I will spend my money there. I spent 1500 dollars on a camera and got the run around when I questioned their return policy- never again- what a joke. It's no wonder their company is suffering.
Tip for consumers:
Don't buy from them- or read the fine print and take your chances.
Im satisfied! Product was well packed, Delivery was on Time & great customer service. Pleasure to do business with you guys.
Quickly response and shipping. Good quality products with adorable price than other retail stores or websites. I would like to recommend to my friends and family. I will come back and purchase
Thank You soo much
Stores have reasonable amount of selection of products but the prices can often be beat by other vendors. Geek squad reps are not all that helpful and their rates are high. Floor employees are generally well informed. Just be an intelligent shopper regarding competition's prices.
I've had them for 3 yrs., and gladly renewed for another year. Overall they've solved MOST issues on the first try. Yes, at times they have to give it another go. But they DO solve it in the end. So it doesn't change my 5-star rating. And they always ask if you need further help before disconnecting.
I always get my electronics here. The stuff is a little more expensive and their price matching has gotten stricter, but their return policy is great. I prefer buying at a store than off an online website for this reason.
Very disappointed. As u can see item is marked this price but at register it comes up 69.00. Now these items are all behind ticket black and white sets about 10 boxes behind this price actually there are no items next to it for 69.00. Why when I get to register price changed? Oh they have not updated there tickets. Not fair to me that's price you are advertising what do I get instead... I get a manager who is rude and rather argue with me and make excuses up. Really this is how u handle customers do u not have any customer service. If you do not want customers upset then don't advertise false and don't argue with them
I get delivered a tv with a cracked screen and opened it past a 15 day period so now I'm getting completely screwed out of the money spent for the tv and the extra protection plan. We would've been life long customers but after this I'll never buy anything from this company again.
I usually show in store but the best buy website has a much bigger selection and the same promotions can be found only. If i can't find what i want in-store, i'll often hop online to see what they have.
I've been a long time customer. Very pleased with their services and products. So much in fact, I decided to get a credit card. Well, I found out that a certain product was available for pre-order and it's super limited edition. So I pre-ordered it and was super excited. It comes out tomorrow. And yesterday, I got an email saying they're having troubles processing my payment. What? Turns out, when I pre-ordered it, and paid for it, they took it, then reimbursed me a few days later to make sure I could afford it? And apparently that's their process. I was never told until yesterday. Now I have no funds for the product and now I'm going to lose it completely. Insanely stupid system, idiotic rules, and horrible communication. Never has some place I loved became the most hated so fast in my life. I hope Best Buy goes bankrupt and I strongly encourage everyone to avoid the store at all cost.
I'm getting ready to move our of state in a few days. Parents decided to buy me a laptop as a present. Best Buy is about 10 minutes from where I live. Parents called them over the phone and paid for it via a credit card so that I could pick it up after work since it's in stock. Get to the store and they said it will take 2-3 days until the card clears. I would get it from amazon that soon; who's warehouse is multiple states away. Absolutely ridiculous as I will be moved before I'm 'allowed' to pick up my gift. Let's see how much more of a hassle my parents will have to cancel the order now.
I returned numerous laptops a few due to not being suitable and a couple for other issues. Through my frustration of trying to find the right product the Best Buy (Gateway Langford B. C.) employees were friendly, helpful, professional and displayed great customer service providing me assistance in ultimately finding a suitable laptop. A big thank you to all of you. Tamara :)
Do not order anything on best buy for home delivery!
I ordered a fridge 2 weeks ago for delivery a week ago. I've had my delivery rescheduled 5 times. Now when I try to reschedule on the website, it doesn't give me any days before September.
Also, their chat and phone wait times are over an hour. If I knew this, I would have bought a fridge somewhere else. I will never shop at best buy again.
This business is so very difficult to converse with for any product questions. Also difficult to speak with a local store directly, everything goes through a call center. After 3 tries today, we will try to avoid Best Buy for all practical purposes. Although they speak English, all 3 were so difficult to understand, it was better to just hang up after 10 minutes of the rhetoric and call in again and see if a different person was understandable. This used to be our main place to go, but not anymore.

Website is ok, however, I have a beef with the store. My mother and stepfather went there to get a new home computer, and the salesman took them for a ride. They ended up having to wait nearly a week while the "geek squad" installed antivirus software on it that the salesman said was a must. To top it off, they also cam home with an UPS big enough to run half a city block in a power outage. I am not a fan of companies that try to take advantage of people looking for newer electronics that don't know what is what.
There nothing special. I had poor custmer service, both in the store and on line.
The prices i rather high. Geek squad what ever--for get it. Smart dumb jokes on sales. Prices $ very high. From 2010 to 2013 8 stores closed down. I dont shop there any more. I got some good deals at SEARS.
I went there today The Albany store. Was greeted by a man named John. He helped me choose a TV for around $2500.00. When it came to pay he told me my check was no good and I had to use another form of payment. I have a checking account just for this purpose. After I said forget it, he was cold and blew me off. I have bought many things at that store and will never go back again. Very bad customer service. Ignorant sales.
Tip for consumers:
Do yourself a favor and find another store
Horrible place I don't think BestBuy will be in business for to long I'm hoping, A bunch of unprofessional people roaming around with no sense of awareness, Management is so clueless and useless just like the rest of the employees. Do your self a favor and stay away from this place and order online from Amazon.
Talked to management about a situation that happened, complete waste of time His lack of common sense got in his way.
To many young people working here, horrible!
Good Luck.
From start to finish terrible service. Sales associates know little or nothing of products. Service and shipping is a circus. Blame everyone from vendors, shippers and customers but take no responsibility for anything. Website and phone service is literally a scam, hours on hold and outsourced. Zero resolution to any issues with service people knowing less than sales staff and what's on the script they read from. Hours wasted and offered a $15 gift card after wasting two full days and loss of business! And you guessed it, no resolution and no responsibility on Best Buy's part. Terrible company and make credible vendors look bad.
Buyers beware
I enjoyed my entire shopping experience. I found out about the brand Best Buy on one of my favorite online sites, I also love that i can get points to buy more clothes and accessories for liking items via twitter. What a great concept!
I shop in the store when I need supplies (obviously that don't need returning), but it is the stupidest and most disrespectful practices towards customers ever. Go elsewhere for your electronic needs or appliances.
I never had any problems with buying or returning any item. But I will only give 4 stars because their markup on most items are way over the top. But they stand behind their name brands they offer. At least in my local store.
Best Buy sells all manner of consumer electronics: HDTVs, computers, cell phones, DVDs, laptops, tablets, video games, and just about everything else. Best Buy's website reflects both in-store and online merchandise.
