This was the best shopping experience I have ever had. The workers are so friendly and made us feel very welcome and were helpful without being pushy. The best part is that they don't only sell wedding dresses, they sell dresses for almost every occasion, so I'm pretty sure I'll be coming back.

Promote a brand but I received "BHLDN" brand wedding dress. I asked why but BHLDN is ignoring my email and phone calls. When I call they say only email team can answer that kind of questions. Its been one month and still no reply. The email team is tossing my question and keep saying "we have escalated and sent to correct department to answer so please wait." If my wedding was not in short time, I would of returned the dress. BHLDN= poor communication and liar. Once they sell the item... they don't care afterward. I don't want future brides to suffer like me. Make sure you get the brand you purchase! The website advertised it is not BHLDN brand but my wedding dress tag had BHLDN tag... and I asked why... and still no reply... Also, their sizing is not true. So, international buyers please be aware of wasting shipping costs or big alternations cost.

Ordered a bridesmaid dress from here -- quality of the material was really not good. Customer service is awful. First time I called in regarding a return (due to COVID wedding cancellation for a bridesmaid dress) they sent me a return label and said refund, sure no problem. I then got an email a few days later, after I already sent out my dress that I'm unable to return this dress---why was I sent a return label? And why was I told this after sending my dress out already? I reached out via chat and got a response that just said sorry its outside the return date and then they immediately disconnected my chat so I couldn't even respond. Started a new chat to explain the situation yet again and was told "not sure what you're trying to argue here it can't be returned." Meanwhile they have my dress. Will never use them again.

I ordered a BHLDN dress through Anthropologie. Actually I ordered two. I received one of the dresses and it was as advertised, however it looked cheap and I didn't like it. The other dress that I received was not the dress that I ordered. I took both dresses to my nearest Anthropologie store And returned both of them. They did tell me that I wasn't supposed to and returned both of them. They did tell me that I wasn't supposed to return BHLDN dresses in store, but that they would accept the return this one time.

I then received an email a couple days later stating that I was being re-charged for one of the dresses. The dress cost $450.

The reason was that the dress was incorrect. Yes, it was an incorrect dress that was sent to me. I have called and been told that "there is nothing they can do about it."

Wow.
Completely ridiculous. What a scam of a store.

Returned a very expensive dress almost TWO MONTHS ago and still have not received my refund. Email EIGHT times and each rep has something new to say. Not helpful at all. Beyond disappointed a company like this would have such a terrible return process.

I bought a dress online that I thought was from Anthropologie but it was from BLDN. It was for Christmas. It didn't work. I tried to return it in January but they told me they didn't extend returns for Christmas, so I was over the 30 days. No refund, no store credit either! I am stuck with that dress! Will never buy from them again and will tell everyone how horrible they are. A supervisor never returned my phone call.

I ordered my wedding dress from this company. It took one month to arrive. I had to pay a huge cost to get it cleared from customs. When it arrived two weeks away from my first fitting they had sent me the wrong dress...

I got a lack of sympathy or compensation from the company. They literally couldn't care less in trying to rectify the situation. They said they'd let me know in 72 hours if they had the dress I ordered originally in stock. They didn't get back to me after 72 hours. After chasing, they confirmed they no longer had the dress and didn't intend in getting it in.

They are awful. Do not buy from this company. This has left me having to find something new with very little time left. Appalling customer service.

I assumed my high value wedding dress woud require a signature, so when I saw that my dress was delivered I was excited to come home and try it on. Well-turns out someone stole it or UPS "lost" it. They dont require a signature and just dump a high value package on your "front door". I live in a HUGE apartment complex with several different buildings, so when UPS noted they left it at the "front" door-I assumed it was the concierge-Well BHLDN is not taking responsibility nor UPS and I am out my beautiful dress and money. I have to file a police report and call the cc company and deal with this mess instead of focusing on my wedding. I have never dealt with such horrid customer service. THey dont care about doing whats right by the customers.

Earlier this year, I ordered multiple items to try for my wedding and other events. Unfortunately, none of the items worked, so I sent them all back in one box. After reviewing my bank statement, the company shorted me about $300 saying I didn't return one of the items. The process took 5 phone calls (all of which lasted over 30 min each because I had to explain the situation all over every time I called) to the customer service dept over the period of 5 months. When I realized the company was never going to remedy the issue, I had to get my bank involved. Finally, AFTER my wedding took place, I received my refund 6 months after initially purchasing the items because of my bank representative! Needless to say, it was the WORSE customer service experience I've ever had to deal with. As a general manager for a women's clothing company, I will never ever recommend this company in the future and I've personally learned how to better my business by not being like this one!

This company has the worst customer service. I bought a dress for my son's wedding in June, 2018 and it just wasn't the one. Admittedly, I was unable to return the dress within the 30 day return policy because my husband was badly injured at a fire scene while on duty. Between the hospital, doctors' visits and caring for him, I just wasn't able to get it in the mail. Even after explaining the extenuating circumstances and returning the dress unworn and unaltered, the company is unwilling to bend on their strict return policy. No response to any messages to appeal this. They couldn't care less about their customers. Thank so much, BHLDN, for your lack of compassion. You've made an extremely trying situation for my family even more difficult.

I ordered the ginger convertible dress for a bridesmaid dress in dusty blue. The bride changed her mind about the color of the dress she wanted for the wedding party, however, it had been over the 30 day return period since I had bought it. I called BHLDN and dealt with a very helpful, kind lady who said she would honor the return and offered me free shipping to return in. I loved the dress so much, I wanted it in the new color the bride had picked but wasn't able to get a swatch in the fog color to make sure it matched the swatch the bride gave us. I called BHLDN again to see if they offered free shipping for returns and they offered me free overnight shipping and free shipping if I needed to return. Not to mention, the dress quality is impeccable! It's comfortable, functional, and stunning but simple design. I'm so shocked at all these horrible reviews!

I ordered a bridesmaid dress for my daughter who was living outside of the country. When she returned and tried on the bridesmaid dress it was too small. It hadn't been worn and the tags were still on it. The company refused to exchange the dress for a larger size because it was past the 30 day deadline. The employee I spoke to was very rude. The dress cost $250.00 and I was told that I would just have to order a new one and they would not let me return the old one. Never shop here!

So disappointed. Ordered 2 dresses for my daughter for my nieces wedding for fit. Picked Express 2 day shipping. One dress arrived 7 days later. The second dress arrived 3 months later. Return policy is 30 days. Couldn't return one because we needed one for the wedding and the other hadn't arrived. The second one arrived in June (wedding in July) and it was better fit. Returned the first one which was past 30 days but they don't take into consideration that they didn't deliver the total order in a timely manner. I sent the dress back but they will not issue a refund and won't return the returned dress to me. Hmmm... seems like stealing. Great business model. Probably reselling the dress. Disputing with my credit card company. Please don't shop at BHLDN if you can help it. Their customer service is sub par. Seems as though they are trained to be difficult and not service oriented. The employee I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. Incredibly disappointed and lost $310.00

Terrible with no answers from customer service. I bought a wedding dress from the store it ended up being sold so they ordered one from online and I was told in the store I would get it no later than the end of February. That was a lie. They had no idea when I would be getting it. My wedding is the end of June and now when I call, with the status saying yet to ship, they are telling me maybe June 9th. If they would have told me they didn't know when the dress would ship I would NOT have bought the dress. I would not recommend buying a dress from this place. I am honestly devastated. I have lost all hope I will get the dress.

Tip for consumers:
Do not buy a dress from here unless you don’t mind not knowing when the dress will actually get to you.

The absolute worst service ever! The charged me the day I ordered my dress. It was delayed to ship, which was fine. But the day it was scheduled to ship they emailed me saying I had not paid for it! Then I got no response for email or phone. I then recieved an email 5 days later that my order had been cancelled! I paid $250 for a dress I will never receive!

Absolute worst bridal website!

Absolutely terrible experience, ordered a dress to be delivered in DUBAI, and it was delivered to the US. I first called the customer service and the agent told me the dress was certainly going to be delivered to me I just had to wait. I called UPS and they told me that for sure this is not an international delivery. So I called the customer service again, they were not sure if they can change the address or no and didn't seem to give a $#*! about it AT ALL. I ended up spending hours and hours over the phone (paying for international calls) to understand that they will never deliver my dress and never find a solution for their mistake.
I asked for a refund and that still didn't happen.
They are also extremely RUDE on the phone

It's the worst customer service I ever had to deal with

I returned a dress to BHLDN over two months ago and still have not received a refund - like many other people on this site who've left reviews.

If you've already bought a dress and planning on returning it - it's so important that you retain your UPS number when sending back a dress to BHLDN as they say they are not able to track returns (which in of itself is alarming). I luckily have proof that the dress was received, YET do not have a refund.

A wedding dress is generally no small amount of money, yet BHLDN seem to not care about this. It's truly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Save yourself the stress and do not buy from BHLDN - you don't need that coming up to a wedding.

This is the ABSOLUTE worst experience i have ever received. They call themselves a company?! I never got refunded for 500 dollars of my order, and only for one thing in the box I returned?! This is a scam and steal money from people! I have called 10 times trying to get answers and NOBODY is helping! Tried to be calm about and patient but I don't want this same experience happening to other brides who are stressed already and cant be dealing with problems with their dresses! DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM.

So excited I found a beautiful dress for my 50th HS reunion. Waited3 weeks for delivery. Recieved a box with a beaded blouse. Called customer service. Sorry, your dress no longer available. They are totally undependable. PS. Purchased a dress last year from them, a 6 is my size with room. The 6 from them was more like a 2. Never again.

I bought a wedding dress in October and then, in September, BHLD made a 3-day sale on your webpage, where my dress was included (20% discount). I had the chance to buy the dress again and return mine, but I decided to call BHLD customer service first to check if that was necessary. The person with whom I spoke said to me that they were able to refund me the difference (he checked and the dress was effectively on discount). That never happened. Now theya re telling me that my dress did not qualify for the discount, which is not true! I am completely sure that the dress was on discount (the customer service person also checked it!)

We had a wedding dress appointment over the weekend. Shop was pretty quiet. We arrived on time and were excited to watch our sister try on beautiful dresses. Our sales rep was decent and accommodating but the other sales women in the department were RUDE, SNOTTY and OBNOXIOUS. There were 2 other sales women walking around that insisted on walking just where we might be looking at a dress, rolling their eyes at us - i guess because we were actually looking at the dresses hanging on the racks and maybe even - oh my - touching them?! One of the ladies actually even asked us to SIT DOWN in the seats and presumably NOT LOOK AT DRESSES that we were there to maybe buy? TOTAL RUDE and UGLY sales ladies. Thank goodness my sister chose a $1800 dress from a different store and we didn't spend a dime there. So sad that young working women feel the need to behave this way. So so very ugly. I will never be back and make sure that all my friends know not to shop there as well.

Some styles and sizes sell out quickly, and are then discontinued. When bridesmaids are given the instruction to choose from 6-8 styles (in a particular color), there is a hope that each can find a style that fits their body type. In our case, two styles sold out within the first month of the shopping window, others sold out in particular sizes. If you are uncomfortable with a neckline shares far more of you body than you wanted to expose to family and friends you are out of luck for this wedding! Being told that a size 14 can be altered into a 10 is not so helpful (maybe the $280 dress, with $200 worth of alterations would work, but no promises there, right?). Not even a dress a different color in the store to try one on! What now? Tell the bride you can't be in her wedding, or ask her for the okay to wear a dress from a different designer? Brides beware: you don't really want to put your best girls through this stress, do you? Go with one of those designers that make each dress in 50 colors! By the way, customer service is not so great either. Order something to try on at home and "easy returns"... not so much. Tried that and they say they never got it... Not so confident about trying that again.
This was supposed to be fun...

BEWARE THE FINE PRINT. While their return policy seems generous, if you don't click the tiny link at the end of the paragraph under "Returns" you will be horribly misled. DECEPTIVE wording.

Here is their return policy:
"Our hope is that you are completely satisfied with your BHLDN purchase. If you aren't, we are happy to accept your return or exchange; please keep in mind that merchandise must not be worn, washed or altered, and must be free of stains, pet hair, floor debris, and pin marks.

Merchandise must have all tags attached and be returned in original packaging. Most items must be shipped back to us and cannot be returned to a store. Eligible merchandise must be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund to your original method of payment. We offer free returns for any US order! View our complete return policy and/or start your return online here."

If you don't click "here" you won't understand that anything ending in $. 99 cannot be returned. Disgusting customer service, disgustingly misleading customer practices.

I ordered a full price dress for my sons wedding. I wanted to return it, however they said I could not return it because it was more than 30 days past purchase date. The dress was full price, not on sale. This is RIDICULOUS! You barely have an appropriate amount of time to receive it, try it on, and then make a decision about the purchase. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BHLDN. If you do not like your purchase, you cannot return it after 30 days.

Ordered a ready-to-ship dress that estimated 1 week shipping time. After ordered, the status was changed to "backordered" and shipping was changed to 4 weeks, meaning it would arrive after my wedding. So I found the same dress online elsewhere, secondhand for half the price. I wanted the belt or sash from BHLDN to make sure the color would match. I was assured it would be quicker shipping and arrive on time. So like an idiot I ordered again… this time my package was lost. Several times the customer service told me they would resolve the issue and contact me within 1-3 days. Every time, I had to reach out and initiate communication to follow up. I finally got my refund. I absolutely do not recommend this company. Sure the dresses are pretty but it is not worth the hassle of dealing with their $#*!ty shipping services. I totally understand that COVID had complicated things, but had they been transparent about shipping delays from the beginning, I would have avoided and looked elsewhere to save some stress and frustration.

Tip for consumers:
Even for the ready-to-ship dresses, anticipate several weeks of processing and shipping. Expect delays for everything.

My daughter and her bridesmaids purchased their gowns at Beholden, when purchasing they requested swatches of the Bridesmaids dresses to bring to the florist and order tuxedos. She received two blank cards in the mail, contacted customer service who sent her new ones, which were two blank cards, again no swatches, she ordered the swatches again online. She received two blank cards. After several phone calls with customer service, she was given a supervisor by the name of Shannon who said she would look into it and call her back. No one called, a fourth and fifth call to CS gave us the managers name of Stephanie who was to contact corporate and get back to us. Again, no one contacted us. My final call today was with a supervisor by the name of Miss Dobbs who pretty much told us we were out of luck. No bride should have to go through this kind of aggravation trying to get two one inch pieces of material of dresses they purchased. Huge Mistake, go to a reputable Bridal Salon and not this online disaster... hope this helps.

I have spent months dealing with this online company and every single person I've spoken to has given me the run around, lied about or changed policy at every turn and treated me poorly the entire time. Basic story, I bought a dress online on sale but not final sale. When I called to ask if I could return it, the person I spoke assured me that I could return but for an e gift card not a refund. I followed her instructions for return and even provided tracking confirmation that the dress was delivered to them. No e gift card ever sent and a different explanation from every person I spoke to. Told first person was wrong, that no it couldnt be returned, no such thing as an e gift card, that they never got it, etc etc... but a supervisor would call me, mind you this was after months of calling them weekly. A supervisor never called, but I finally got someone to refund my money... well here it is months later and they recharged me for the dress because they can't locate the return... so now I am out the money and have no dress to show for it... I'd I could give 0 stars I would!
