Biblio has a rating of 2.4 stars from 91 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Biblio most frequently mention customer service, and tracking number problems. Biblio ranks 6th among Used Books sites.
We regularly use Biblio.com and appreciate the personal service. The book which we purchased on this occasion was well described and arrived on time in good packaging. We would recommend their services.
I received DSM 5TR from these guys and I have had it for 4 months and all the pages are becoming loose and starting to fall out. I know of DSM's that have been clinical officers for years being used by entire teams and not be like this. I asked for replacement or refund and denied. Though it's clearly not made for purpose. Very disappointed
I experienced a situation similar to other reviewers: USPS has bungled the delivery process, book is lost, and Biblio.com personnel keep sending me these canned, even arrogant, responses from about a dozen different "representatives" on unusual days and at unusual times, sometimes in ungrammatical English, that reveal they are not seriously looking into the problem, not taking any responsibility for an investigation, or at least getting the bookseller involved in a professional way: personally investigating with real personnel at USPS and responding with a real report. Sometimes I wonder if these people are even located in the US and if it's a legitimate company, or if it is just a bot programmed to broadcast canned responses.
Tip for consumers:
Don't use Biblio.com unless you understand the risks and have no other choice.

None. Nothing arrived. No investigation by Biblio.com, just canned responses blowing me off.
I ordered a book from this website and when I didn't receive another email for my order besides the initial confirmation of purchase email, I decided to send a message and ask if my order had a tracking number and I was then immediately given a refund and told my order was canceled, only after I made the inquiry about the order after a week of no response. Terrible service.
Biblio tells you a tottaly different story each time you communicate with them. Biblio does not understand your order. Biblio does not want to be bothered with a problem. Biblio will flat out lie to you. If you have a problem, your on your own. Biblio is deceptive and dishonest.
So, you've lost my book! No explanation! Not even a half-hearted apology!
This is how you treat your customers is it? To say I'm disappointed is an understatement - furious is more appropriate. I have recieved my refund, I suppose you expect me to be grateful? Well I'm not! I needed THAT BOOK! What am I supposed to do now? A refund isn't going to help me find another one and put it in my hands before 9th March!
You have clearly made absolutely no effort to locate my book. Can't be bothered? Quite how you manage to run your business is beyond me. Its pathetic! Why do you insist on using Asendia, when they are quite literally the worst international courier in the world? The reviews on Trust pilot (among others) speak for themselves, 1.6 stars - bad! But you already know that. They consistently fail. They would try to tell me that its "very rare" they have a problem, but that's a lie. It's just empty words, when the actual statistics tell me everything I need to know. Over 4 5th's of the reviews (over 80%) agree with me. Yet, you continue to use them. You know how inept they are, and I would bet you STILL try to pin blame on the book sellers and NEVER admit any fault yourselves. Well I'm telling you! It IS your fault! You use a very poor courier, YOU chose them. No one made you use them, and yet you continue your partnership with them despite their staggering ineptitude. The seller "Book Moon" did everything they were supposed to do, and provided tracking to the PO box relay location. As per instruction from biblio. Where my book was delivered AND picked up from. Biblio and their affiliated courier have lost this book.
Book sellers BEWARE! These people will ruin your reputation. Buyers too, if you use Biblio prepare to be disappointed.
I received an email from Biblio that the book I ordered was not available and they were processing a refund. Because of this, I ordered the book from another seller whose price was twice that of the Biblio seller. I then unexpectedly received the book from the Biblio seller, leaving me with an unneeded and more expensive copy from the second seller. I contacted Biblio and they refused to make me whole by refunding me the additional costs associated with buying the second book. I wouldn't have bought the second copy if Biblio hadn't sent their email. They don't have a handle on where their books are and their inability to do so cost this customer.

Ordered a book, simultaneously with a class mate (other order). After a few weeks still not received the order. A refund was proposed/demanded. But for waiting more than a month now, the refund is not received.
Update:
The refund of this order (placed on November 11th) is now received (Friday 13th :)) .
I placed an order 2 months ago, still haven't received it and to contact the company to inquire about information is like pulling hens teeth. Don't waste your time or your money.

Hi Collin,
I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. Can you please confirm your order number so I can investigate this?
Thanks,
Ashleigh
I happily ordered Hennessey On Roses, an old book, and later in the day they email me to say the FREE SHIPPING I clicked on was a MISTAKE and I would have to pay for shipping. What kind of phony garbage is this?! So I cancelled the order but I'm waiting to see if they send me a bill anyway.
OK, they just sent me an email saying the order was cancelled and any charges would be refunded in 2-3 business days. We'll see. I'm just mad that they would change the shipping fee after I ordered.
Whilst I have been delighted by other mailings from Biblio members, I'm afraid that on this occasion the condition of RHC Davis's King Stephen (Order Ref *******) was not at all as expected. Described as "Very Good" it arrived with unattractive bleaching to both the the front and rear covers, a damaged spine and foxing throughout.
A rare let-down through Biblio.
Hi Tony, so sorry for the delay. If you haven't already, please reach out to us support@biblio.com or call us at 1-800-813-9432 so that we can help resolve this. If you call, you can ask for me by name, Ashleigh, or dial my extension, #144. Thanks!
Package was 3 days late and had been stuck in transit in my local usps hub for 5 days. Biblio claimed the tracking "showed movement." When I called them on their blatant lie they forwarded me to the seller who then decided to extend the ETA an editional 7 days (after is had already shipped and was apparently in my home city?) Then when I called them out for unprofessionalism they kept spamming me the same robotic email.
Started a claim through paypal as I do not expect my package to arrive. (This has happened many times before with USPS)
Also, I had requested the 3rd party seller (discover books) use first class mail, which I paid for, to ship the book to avoid such an issue and they ignored me while shipping the RARE BOOK as bound-printed matter.
I am disgusted with both companies at the moment and will never use either again.
GREAT VALUE, PERFECT REFERENCE BOOK, UNBEATABLE PRICE, FAST SHIPPING.
Probably the finest experience. My first purchase and I bought the same book as a gift from another Biblio

Hi EdK K!
Thanks so much for your review, and we're psyched to see that you've had such great experiences with BIBLIO!
Another book ordered from third party via Biblio.com, book arrived within a few days well packed and as described. I was kept well informed as to the progress of the order via e-mail, no complaints.
Hi Alan!
Thanks so much for your kind review, and I'm very happy to see that your order arrived saved and sound!
Another great book find at Biblio! Biblio is an excellent conduit between independent book sellers and buyers. They perform a great service for book lovers.
I purchased a book via Biblio.com from a seller located in California USA. The book was not particularly cheap, a recent out of print book, still widely available which cost me around £40 GBP ($57). I was very interested to receive this book so you can immagine my disappointment when after several weeks the book did not arrive. The seller didn`t reply to my emails regarding the book which made me believe it was never sent.
I suspect that the greedy seller in question realised that other sellers were selling the same book for more money and decided not to send the book after all. The only positive thing in this situation is that my payment was via paypal therefore I was able to recover my money. Surely, if I had paid with another payment method I would had lost my money with this site. My advice is to be very careful when purchasing from Biblio.com, their customer service is very poor. If for whatever reason you decide to purchase from this site, I would recommend to pay only with paypal (if available at the check out) for your own protection or avoid to buy from them!
They don't send you confirmation email for your order;
They don't send you update for your order;
They don't ship your order;
They don't respond to your inquiry;
And they DO charge your credit card

Thank you for the review and I'm sorry you had a rough experience with this order. I can see that we did send confirmation emails of the order and shipment to your email address and that they were read. Our first report that your order was having difficulties was your chargeback dispute. At this point, you have been refunded, the seller has been debited, and their rating has decreased. I'm sorry for your disappointing experience with a Biblio seller. You can always reach our support team at support@biblio.com if you ever have any questions or concerns.
Waited and watched a VERY long time for a book and when I found it at a great price I ordered it IMMEDIATELY. Later that afternoon, I get an email saying my order was CANCELLED because they never even HAD the book! I was told Biblio was a TRUSTED site to buy from but I will NEVER take that chance again! Now I have to wait DAYS to get my money back AND I used paypal so I will have to again wait to transfer it to my bank account from there! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
Some old bills sold on it are cheaper than original price, for example, old 500 dollar bill would be sold for 200 dollars. And the books, new books for at least a quarter of the price off.
I've purchased an item from them about 2 weeks ago and by accident I typed the wrong address. I immediately caught it as soon as I received my receipt in my inbox. I emailed customer service immediately and gave them the correct address with my order number, etc. I get an email from them way later saying the item has already shipped. I've tried going back and fourth with them on getting item to correct address and they don't even seem to understand the issue. They were saying how if I had recently moved then usps would forward it to correct address. I was like "What!" That wasn't even my issue or close to what I was saying! They're saying they can't do anything about it until the product gets returned to them, which doesn't make sense because the only way would be for the people living at that address would send it back; second, it hasn't even left Texas where the warehouse is, yet (it's been two weeks since they said item shipped out, which is why I couldn't even change the address in the first place!) This company is complete garbage.
The book was delivered earlier than expected. It is a used book, but is in excellent condition. It worth the price. I'm pleased with the service and the book.

I tried to order a title through Biblio twice over three days, from two different sellers--in both cases the order was cancelled apparently because the book was out of stock (though no actual reason for the cancellation was given in either case). I had to contact their Help page to find out what was going on, as in neither case did the order appear in my Order History (Help claimed this was because I placed the order as a guest, but this wasn't so--I was logged into my account both times); although both orders have been refunded, it just seems bizarre that two sellers would both be unable to supply a book that isn't hard to come by--not a rare volume. It almost appears as if Biblio is hosting sellers who are taking orders for titles they don't have in stock, not a good business practice. I'd have to think twice about attempting to order from them again, and I'm definitely glad I made my purchase via PayPal as opposed to directly through their site, as I suspect I might have had a much harder time obtaining refunds otherwise.
Book order canceled by them and "alternative" books costing over seven times more were suggested. Why advertise at a low price knowing that you won't honor it?
On May 3 I ordered a book for approximately $4.00 from Biblio.com and the order was cancelled. The author of the book had just passed away so I thought maybe someone else ordered it at the same time, so I ordered the same book from Ergodebook for $9.48 plus $3.99 shipping. I received an email that the book was shipped and the money was charged to my Visa No book arrived. I waited until the required 9-14 business days and called and was emailed that the book may not have been delivered due to postal error. In short, I was pretty much left with no choice but to get my money refunded after several requests to have the book sent to me after I noticed that Ergodebook now had the book I had ordered on the Biblio site at the cost of $46.78. This tells me that when a book suddenly becomes in high demand, Biblio and Ergodebooks disregards a customer who has in good faith ordered and paid for the book for the sake of receiving a better price. I can understand raising the price of a product in high demand but not at the sake of someone who has already ordered the book. Now I am left without the book and cannot pay the high prices being asked by booksellers. I think Biblio acted unethically and unfairly and I will not use them anymore. I warn other buyers to beware of having an order pulled out from under them should one of the sellers suddenly finds they are getting several orders for the item they (buyer) HAVE ORDERED AND PAID FOR.
The book was as described, early new, and arrived very quickly - thanks and I will buy again from you.

Hi Kristine! Thanks so much for the review, and I'm so happy to hear that you had a great experience!
Since 2003, BIBLIO has connected booklovers and bookshops. With over 100 million used, rare, and out-of-print books for sale from more than 7.5k professional booksellers around the world, you can find an uncommonly good book here.
From the beginning, our mission was to give antiquarian and used bookstores the tools to survive and grow in an increasingly digital world. Since 2003, BIBLIO has become the largest independent marketplace for used, rare, and out-of-print books, and we are still offering booksellers a global reach to market and sell the unique items they preserve.
BIBLIO gained around 200 booksellers in our first year, and now currently offers over 100 million used and rare books for sale, listed by more than 7,500 bookstores around the globe.
Hi Maria,
Thank you for reaching out, and I completely understand your anger and frustration.
I am very sorry your order was lost in transit, and we do hope it will be returned to the seller shortly. I am following up with Asendia to see if they have made any progress on the USPS claim, and I will be in touch when I hear more.
Again, my sincere apologies,
Ashleigh
