I ordered a book from this website and when I didn't receive another email for my order besides the initial confirmation of purchase email, I decided to send a message and ask if my order had a tracking number and I was then immediately given a refund and told my order was canceled, only after I made the inquiry about the order after a week of no response. Terrible service.
Non existent customer service, bait and switch pricing, rude, and not worth the hassle. They more than doubled the shipping cost a day AFTER I paid for the book. I asked why, and instead of answering that simple question they outright cancelled my order.
If you buy membership to reduce the cost of a purchase and they cancel the order, you won't get a refund on the membership. Just don't buy anything from Biblio at all. Because no one needs to feel so stressed! This is actually meant to be ZERO stars.
I wanted an older Magazine come book on building model aircraft, it was a specific version & although i have found one or two versions of it they were way above the price i wanted to pay and mostly second hand.
I found Biblio and they had two versions of the book i wanted at between a quarter to half price and were still under other prices even when postage and packing were included. I ordered the book and received a perfect volume two days later. Great service guys
Rec'd good service on Biblio until recently when book ordered was not delivered after several weeks. The seller apparently refused to provide tracking info, never replying to me or Biblio. Biblio refunded the purchase... And after doing that good deed the seller is still on their platform selling the book I ordered.
I didn't get the impression the lapse mattered at all to Biblio. It was just nothing... they sent me a link to buy the book i'd originally ordered that directed me to the same seller and the HIGHER priced book. So, do poor performers ever get sanctioned, or do they just keep selling books as if nothing happened? I could've reliably gotten the book in the first place from stinky Amazon... If there's a lesson here it may be that all independents aren't good or worth the trouble of supporting.
They are not a valid website. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. REPORTING THEM!
O STARS... SCAM SCAM SCAM. SCAM
I ordered a book and a week later I get an email saying it was sold out and that my money would be refunded. If I ordered the book and you took my money for it why would you then turn around and sell my copy!? I have NEVER had this happen with any other book retailer. I'm highly disappointed and I will NEVER order from them again.
Many reviewers here don't understand this is a search engine that connects book buyers with thousands of different book sellers, not all of whom are terribly reliable. I've been selling on-line for well over 20 years, and on Biblio for over 10. Compared to the other sites, I have found them to have the best combination of customer service, solid search engine, and more than a modicum of care for the bookseller and the trade, not just the bottom line. I love ABE, too; the only issue I have with them is Bezos owns it (but fortunately has left it alone). BTW, if you lool up ABE's rating here, it's about the same-- 2 stars. But check out the other ratings on the right, like the Better Business Bureau. Biblio is 4.5 and higher, which is a really good score!

One of the worst customer experiences I have ever dealt with!
When I didn't get my order, after some back-and-forth with the postal service, I was told that my package was lost, but there was insurance the retailer could claim, so I should contact them. However, when I was trying to get some support from the Biblio, they were just sending me the same message that I should contact the postal service, and that the package must have been delivered over and over again. I was trying to call them hundreds of times and only managed to get through once. I was told that they'd give me a refund, but nothing happened.
I don't recommend buying anything from here!
I had an awful experience with an order I've made. A package arrived but it wasn't what I've ordered by any stretch of the imagination - it was an order made by another person at a remote part of the planet.
Customer support response to that? Nah
Apologies? Never
Refund? You guessed it, nothing
Only through a PayPal claim I could get a refund and that took an additional month to the month I've waited for the wrong package.
I saw that some people ask if Biblio is for real. My answer is yes, real bad.
I ordered a book for my nursing leadership class sort of last minute and it was slated to arrive in January 3rd. That's actually the day my class starts. However, the book was delivered on Monday, December 27th. I am so appreciative for the expedited shipping.
Purchased a book that was skyrocketing in price due to a sudden popularity cause by a director (Zack Znyder). I never got any shipping confirmation after i made a request for it days prior to order strangely getting canceled. De days later after my request to shipping confirmation I got an email stating I was being refunded due to item being lost/ damaged during shipping. I find this very suspect due to the fact its also very convenient for the company because they stand to double thier money. Never again will I be dealing with Biblio. Plenty of honest businesses out there to choose from.
Paid THEIR price for a book and the listed shipping. These crooks email me back after I had already paid. ACTION REQUIRED they said... asking for 33 more dollars to ship 1 book. Not a good way to do business..
Book order canceled by them and "alternative" books costing over seven times more were suggested. Why advertise at a low price knowing that you won't honor it?
Ordered a textbook on September 9 and it was to be delivered by September 23. They said it was lost (no tracking) and they would send out in 2 days. It's been 4 days with no book. I have called all morning... been disconnected 5 times. Natalia called me back and again we were disconnected. Then Amy! Again disconnected. I even emailed the CEO. I just wanted the book and to please communicate. Now, they have refunded the money and I have wasted 2 weeks waiting for this book. Absolute worst customer service ever! And they want me to call if I get the book so they can charge me! I am charging them for my time! JOKE OF A COMPANY!
After 1 month of waiting for a book after it was reportedly mailed, I asked biblio.com to track that shipment and to let me know its status. They responded that "apparently" the book had been lost by the Post Office, that they would refund the cost if I wished, and that I still might get the book. I've now asked for a refund.
When I ordered books from Abe I was cheated regularly. I have not had that experience with biblio.com. I don't buy the cheapest book available and I read the description carefully. I also don't order from booksellers with a poor reputation.
Crap service, crap site, ordered a book off their site and a week later I get your orders been refunded because the books no longer available what a crock I'll never buy from them again should have known the 2 star rating they have speaks for itself don't waste your time or money
Ordered a textbook without any apparent problem, and received a confirmation that all looked legit.
Book didn't arrive on time. Contacted seller and was told that it had shipped, but it takes some time to arrive. Note that I had paid for expedited shipping.
I asked for the USPS tracking number. None was provided.
The phone number for customer service went unanswered, despite numerous calls.
The emails I received in reply all pointed to the same (apparently unoccupied) phone number.
The emails were all strangely signed with different names, like "Chris R.", "Robert M.", "Susan B." - all first name and last initial, even when they were giving a reply to a mail that was on a thread. Made me think that the responses were auto-generated.
Ultimately I asked for a refund, which was processed.
What a hassle.
