After rumbling through a few profiles, one stuck out with a question... Do I work for transit? Lol Talking to him was like having a twin sister, we clicked instantly with our personalities, interests in same things, etc. Sometimes you gotta be patient and the right one will find you.
Don't waste your time on this site. All these paid clients have the same old storyline. Save your money, their stories are so similar, their photos are fake, they lie to get the you paying for a subscription. Do your homework concerning this site and most men live hundreds of miles from your location.
My girlfriend husband on the site, acting like he's single, posting pictures of their home, and children. Like he's a single parent.
You can't find any male that is serious or true to the reason for the site which looking for a true mate.
This site should check to see if people are married! This site as well as other dating sites promotes cheating! Terry L White is married!
I cancelled my account and they still continued to charge me and then told me I could not get a refund nor speak to a supervisor, scammers
Don't bother nothing but scammers and losers on this site... go somewhere else. Don't buy this membership.
Beware ladies. He lives in Milwaukee with his mother and a huge con artist. Plays on your weakness for you to take care of him. All I can say is run!
I've been a member of this site for over a month (I said I'd give it 2 months) and am amazed at how many of the men can't spell or string a few words together for a grammatically correct sentence. Many do not even bother to fill out their profiles and have blurry weird or dark photos or selfies in bathrooms or their car. There are lots of old men who I think are lying about their ages. I am an educated, professional woman and am looking for an intelligent man with good values who really wants something special. While I had a lot of men contact me, most sent flirts and photo likes that said NOTHING! Many of the profiles on the site seemed fake and used the exact same language, usually with bad grammar. So many of them love walks on the beach even when they don't live near a beach, want new adventures around every corner or seem to play in some middle-age flag football league! LOL!
Most of the men I actually chatted with had NOTHING to say beyond stuff like "I like your picture" "hey beautiful" "how was your day" "watcha doin?" etc. Others claimed their membership was ending in a day and they tried to move the conversation offline right away. When I would ask them to tell me more about themselves first, they wouldn't respond. But then they popped up on the site again not long after they claimed the membership was ending.
A few men I corresponded with briefly via chat and messaging seemed to give off negative or other weird vibes, or just had NOTHING to say, and I wasn't comfortable progressing to a phone conversation with any one at all. I don't know what kind of choices the men have, but ladies, my recommendation is to use your hard earned money to join a gym, attend professional networking groups/conferences, take up a hobby, etc. to try and meet potential dates face to face. I know there are good guys out there, but BPM is just not where the quality black men are at.
My first experience wasn't good and vowed never to come back and should have listened to myself. After much convincing from my friends I came back. I thought it was just me and decided to try again but I see from other reviews that it wasn't! This site is crazy as hell and I could go on & on but here are my thoughts. First time, met a guy that wanted me to sell pork skins out of my salon (wtf)! The rest were total turn offs. This time around I really tried to give it a chance but I met a guy who told me he only wanted sex after his profile said he wanted serious relationship. One guy said he was from Tennessee but he was from another state. Same people everyday. Was stalked by one guy. The men constantly want you to send pics... for what? (What's up with that anyway?) Always wanting to text, no real conversation and don't want to date or really have serious connections or relationships. They may talk text for a while like a week or two but they go ghost quick. I'm not the one for disappearing acts! You become the chaser. Guys don't know how to date or want to... its more a hook up thing. (No matter the age!) Profiles are vague. They are not truthful. The site sends robo text and flirts. Your profile stays up and they deny you access after you cancel regardless if you have more time. For someone that really wanted to connect with someone and I had two dates that turned out not to be connections at all! I was very disappointed and found it to be a waste of time. I'm sure men have issues too but this is why traditional dating is the way I will go and will wait on God to send him my way. Good luck to those who did find love and for those still seeking. I feel overall that this site is the worst of all sites ( but I'm done with them all cause they are generally the same). This site is a fluke and a horrible scam!
Stay away from dreday07! He has "legally separated" on site, however he is married and live w/his wife and kids!
I been using this for maybe a year and when my plan canceled I'd probably started getting more messages and flirts than when I had my account up
Plenty of male h**s to chop it up with. Dont have to bother with conversation. Just keep turnin and burnin. If you can dig it jump on there.
Even when you cancel your membership they still bill you and won't refund your money. Two months of cancelations.
! I needed to share this with you
In December 2012 I did something that I couldnt believe. I signed up on black people. Com it was the best thing that I could of ever done for myself that $18.00 trail fee sign up was one of the best investments that could of ever taken place in my life. I met this wonderful man name Gregory v Johnson he was very open, to the point with what he was looking for in this life. He made me smile every day that we talked on the phone. I made him wait a week to see me and that first date was like stars with a back ground of water falls (wow). Never in my life thru it all, have I ever felt this way for any man. On that day I was open to miracles. My meaning of miracles had just took place Amen and that meaning was, an event by supernatural being (God) again lord Thank You for sending me someone that completes me. We left voicemails on black people. Com for them to call us so that we can tell our store of finding our true love, but with no return phone calls, we wanted to be in the contest and drawing that they offered. We are looking to get married on 07/14/2015 hoping all goes well.
Gregory v Johnson ask me to be his wife on 12/25/2013 and I said yes with tears
It has been very hard for us, Because I had a disease called (flicalties hair disease) it was on my face for the world to see and Gregory still was there for me. We are still paying for my treatments my face will be clearing up soon Amen. If there are any wedding programs that we can enter to help the cost with our wedding that would be wonderful or can we just be put on your wedding site showing the world that we found our true love on your website that would be great. My meaning of miracles is that they can come true.
Gregory v Johnson & LaTonya D Thornton would like to say thanks for your website and believing in love like we do! But please take out time to return peoples phone calls having great customer service is the key to success in business.
Respectful
Thank you for taken out time to read our story we have been together since our first date.
LaTonya D Thornton
Watch out for ALEXANDER******* out of Raleigh. He work for CSX railroad and he has unsuspecting woman on his route between SC, NC and VA. Nothing but games. Beware.
Hello these guys are crazy Narc on this site. Do not go on this site if you are a women. It's really a disappointment.
Kingofman from blackpeoplemeet stay away he is a user who will deceive and hurt any woman that gives him the time.
I decided to try blackpeolemeet.com because other sites that I've used have predominately white members, and most of the white men on those sites don't seem particularly interested in dating someone who is non-white, so needless to say I wasn't having much luck. I thought blackpeoplemeet.com would give me more options, and opportunities to me someone who I actually connected with. Well needless to say that did not happen.
They definitely inflate your messages to make it seem like you have more activity than you actually do. They send you two messages if someone "flirts" with you; one is the actual flirt, the other is a notification that you received a flirt.
Also, there were not enough members in my area that met my requirements... age, no kids, etc. And the site would always suggest people who were in an entirely different state than myself, which was annoying.
Lastly, the billing practices at blackpeoplemeet.com are abhorrent! They automatically renew your account for another term without notifying you. They don't even send a message letting you know that a charge is pending to your account. I didn't realize that I had been charged until I viewed my monthly bank statements. And to top it off when you send them a complaint their automatic response is that they do not offer refunds. Really?
I responded to the auto-reply message, explaining that it did not resolve my issue. To their credit, after I replied to the auto-reply message I did receive an email response from an actual person in less than 48 hours. She gave me a customer service number to call, to formally request the refund. That's done, and now I'm just waiting for them to "approve" it. So hopefully that goes through without any further incident.
The customer service number is *******920. They are available Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm) Central Time. I hope this helps anyone who is having a similar billing issue with them!
I've been a member of BlackPeopleMeet.com for 2 months. My experience has been somewhat unpleasant, but I can't necessarily blame the site. Because they have no control over the member's personality flaws, nor do they screen the members. I've talked to a few guys on the telephone. But they seem to all have unnecessary baggage etc. And I just have to add, all of these men were college educated with professional jobs. So the caliber of men I talked to were pretty decent as far as credentials, education, and aesthetics. But they were lacking in personality and I didn't feel a connection. I only linked up with one guy in person. We went out on a few dates, but I kept feeling there was something no quiet right about him. Well by the 3rd date he hysterically cussed me out because I refused to go to his condo. After he yelled at me in a condescending tone, I "politely" told his a$$ where to go then ended the conversation. It was obvious he was only looking for sex, even though he claimed he was looking for a serious relationship. But I have no regrets because I see all of my interactions as a learning experience.
The site is easy to use, but you have to be careful to not select the AUTOMATIC RENEWAL. I accidentally did, and was charged almost $70. I sent an email to customer service, and within about 8 days or so the money was credited back into my account. Another pet peeve of mine are those corny Flirts! Lol. They need to get rid of those stupid "Flirts, because their annoying. I just gives lazy people a way to contact you with sending a personalized message. Also there's a lot of fake profiles that the company creates to make it seem as though they have more members than they actually do. So don't get fooled. If a guy constantly "likes" all of your pictures, and continuously sends you flirts, chances are it's a fake profile. If a man is truly interested in getting to know you he will send you a personalized message. I do believe there are a few quality men on Black People Meet that are sincerely looking for a significant other. However, you have to decipher through a lot of trash in order to find that diamond in the rough.
BPM is not a successful platform. Too many people scamming. Too many catfishers. Was not successful at all.
Tip for consumers:
Site uses your pictures unless you state they can't. I was excited by the initial response but nothing was real.. Too many catfishers on this site. Was not successful at all.
Did you pay yet? Those behind the scene of this site have drinks on your dollars and giggle at stupidity. 'We tricked another Blacky' smdh.
This website Is no good There are nothing but losers On this site Please keep your money Don't waste it like I did
I wouldn't say BPM is personally responsible for these losers who sign up for this service. Unfortunately, it just give these guys a platform to try to seek out their next victims, and to spread their dysfunction. Ladies beware of the following men on BPM, everything from psychotic liars to abusive to sex addicts, or financially unstable: SIX2ONE90N10, sikeknight, jnay1972 (just had a baby), SquiresPsyD, Leoism---CoolLVTQMTKN- he's a sweet guy, but almost 50, and still lives with his uncle, and doesn't have stable employment or reliable car. Please run in the opposite directions with: RAMELL5000, he lies and tells you his name is Ramello Lundie, and he's a lawyer, and never been married and has no kids. All lies, he is recently married, and has children, and he's behind on child support. He has been convicted from everything from rape to fraud, his real name is Melvin Lundie---beware!
I've been on this site for about a year. As a Black female in the 40-60 age group is just down right hurtful, horrible, deceptive and disgusting. I have never in my life been so stressed up and depress from this site! I don't know why the FTC won't get involve and investigate this horrible site! You have men who put up fake profiles, indicating their divorce, seeking marriage or serious relationship when most of them are already MARRIED looking for a sidekick. Some claim to be bankers, loan officers, when they are car salesmen. They are abusive verbally and many have criminal records especially DUI and Domestic Violence. You got players on there in there 60s married trying to date 5-6 women at once that live nearby while also married. You got those that are in prison that have cell phones and they try to hook you for when they get out of prison they have a place to come. Most of these men have recently got out of failed marriages and are bitter. There're looking for one night stands, they do drugs and are alcoholics. It's a sad sight it's disgusting. If you find anyone who looks half way decent they do not live in your state and many have serious fake profiles. I have never in my life been so disappointed and hurt from the results. Fraud and Deceptive practices on this site needs to be reported to FTC for investigation because you are paying your money to find someone and none of them are trustworthy. Liars and practices emotional pain. This site either needs to clean up its act or be shut down! It causes more problems of sadness than happiness! You have to watch out for the Kevin Jenkins 61, looking for marriage, serious relationship out of Chandler, AZ who claims to have just relocated from Texas last 3 months! Big lie! Kevin Jenkins aka "Closer 56" name on BPM is very married of 21 years to Regina Jenkins, Real Estate Agent at Century 21 in Gilbert, AZ and yet he claims he's divorced so he can pull women on the side. Closer 56 claims to be a lot of things but he's a car salesman at Henry Brown GMC in Gilbert AZ and will try to manipulate you into getting a car. Once you meet him he's a charmer at first then he turns nasty on you and starts with emotional and verbal abuse and he really lives in Queen Creek w/wife. Been living in AZ for the past 5 years from TX and just watch out for him and his kind because if you don't you will be sorry after you find out you have been taken advantage of in the worse way! Ladies be cautious on this site these men are horrible! Take it from someone who has experience the evil side of online dating! Never think you are the ony one may one of 5-10 other women! Oh yes they light to ghost a lot and gaslight a lot very abusive men!
Tip for consumers:
Be careful of the Kevin Jenkins out of Chandler AZ that goes by "Closer 56". You will be used. If you are not heavy drinker and smoke pot like he does you will not be the chosen one.
Only after sex will travel from state to state and is looking for money bad in bed. LOOK UP USERNAME Saggese12
I just joined BPM. I am a white female, attractive, hardworking & excellent mother. I was on this site a week and realized no good if your looking for anything other then sex. Men try to come off as gentleman but don't last. I met one guy ( GRACEWALK) and he had the most attractive profile & pics very handsome supposedly divorced w 4 kids. A YOUTH MINISTER FOR YOUTH! This part was true I googled his name. Found that he APPEARS to be a reputable local minister. He was looking for a WOMAN OF GOD... 1st day we chat, he's insulting me right off bat saying I sound like a smoker, I don't smoke, asked me if I had teeth bc I wasn't showing them in my pic, implied I was 400 lbs because most of women her met were heavy and he can't have an "obese or ugly woman", ask me first night we talked on phone 1 day after meeting he asked me to come meet him for an hour and asked if I could twerk! I am a 34 year old grown woman I don't twerk! I bet some of the disadvantaged youth he ministers twerk though. Then reveals he has 2 adopted high school & college age daughters, one of which was gonna be staying w him for summer! Yeah I bet! So I use VOIP app because I don't know this man so I used Talkatone figured if all went well would give my real number later. He instead of asking me went did Google search then got nasty I didn't give him my real number gee now y'all see why! Asking me if my children are mixed or white. So after being insulted by this man and him already PROBING me first couple days was enough red flags for me. I messaged him told him something was off about HIM and I wasn't interested. Was meeting him Friday for coffee but that's off! Ladies, be careful here especially if you have children. This man works with youth that's a scary thought. Beware! This man is a wolf in sheep clothing! And, I read one of his Bios online he did 10 years in prison for something. Probably using ministry as a front for something sinister. Oh put cherry on top he said he was looking for a white wife but he's on a site that is predominately black and made for black people. Lmao! Ladies be careful! Good luck! Spen your money on better things girls
