My now husband and I saw each other on black people meet back in 2008. The month was March. Previously I was in a situation with someone else where our future together was hopeless. I was a single mom wanting to meet someone and not sure exactly what I was looking for. All I know is that I wanted to meet a guy around 5 foot 5 or 6 with a dark complexion. I met about 3 guys and one had potential but we stopped talking abruptly. I came across one that never went away. We web canned back then and he sent clothes to my home to ensure I was who I said I was. We lived in different states so he came to see me. From our meeting we continued to see each other. Before we got engaged he said you will be my wife and I laughed. Today we have been married 9 years.

I have used this now for the 3rd time when I have been single and went on actual dates. My experience here has been much better than Match. I tried POF but that site is full of dead fish and scammers. At this moment I'm getting to know someone, let's see how it turns out. For the record it's not the sites fault... its the customers that are jumping from profile to profile, so take your time if someone is really interested. Good luck

I've been on BPM for about a year now. I don't login all the time, but when I do, I'm always disappointed.
The men I've met don't look like their picture, and they're usually shorter than then what they put in their profiles.
I'm gonna discontinue my membership. I found a better site for meeting black singles http://ebonysinglestravel.com They have a unique way of introducing you to black singles by hosting events and trips. I think meeting someone in person is betting than trying your luck with the Internet.

I meet a charming physician on black people meet... well that is what I thought. If you see this number come up run 202xxx8774... this guy is a serial womanizer he has women in every state and he loves to get engaged to every single one of them... He is engaged to more than 9 women! Stay away from the psycho,... he search this site form weak women of all races. He is under investigation from two medical boards and lost his license for fraud so do your home work ladies. This man is considered very, very manipulative (influencing or attempting to influence the behavior or emotions of women for he's own purposes.) Do not waste your time and spread the word on this number. And the doctor that does house calls but he is not bringing medicine ladies.

It has given me an opportunity to meet some really nice people. I've met a few questionable characters too but that's life. The staff alert me if someone has been kicked off for fraud.
This is better then meeting in a bar … I never do that.
I met on guy that I dated, a widower, who was not over his wife yet, but I liked him. It didn't work out but I would not change any thing in the way we met.

The problem is not so much the site it's the women! Most seen to be looking for some great God on a Trojan white horse to come wisk them away and take them to some fantasy land they have dreamed up. I've never see so many black women with 3, 4, 5 kids and have never been married a day in their lives. They complain that so many profiles are false, because they go for the smoke and mirrors, superficial B, S... When a real brother comes you way you can't recognize him! And will not give him the time of date. The only woman I made a real connection with was a beautiful Latin woman. I love black women and was married to one for 25 yrs but got tired of kissing *******@ss and bending over backwards with out having my need met.

You subscribe and when you write someone it tells you to buy another subscription for them to reply to your message. There are about 5-6 different subscriptions you need to buy and canceling the first one is tricky, canceling further ones is more difficult. Are the profiles real? Can you trusty talk to people? Based on my experience the other people cannot reply even if you pay. I believe it's trying to get them to pay to read your messages. Every message I get is an automated default message, 0 personal messages written by humans but lots of missing features behind new subscriptions. This site is purely to exploit people's desire to meet others.

This is the absolute worse and disappointing site ever and a slap in the face because you have to pay. I chose this site over POF because I was thinking its paid so better results. First off 90 percent of the people who contact me are not local. I'm only 29 and if I could screen shot and upload I will show that majority of messages are from way older men, its disgusting! The site doesn't have filters like POF where you can make adjustments of who can or can't contact you like based on a person distance, age and etc! I only subscribed for one month and they tried to offer me a discount and honestly this POS ran site should be free! The site lacks enthusiasm! I signed up for POF a free site and I've enjoyed it way more. Disappointed in BPM and I wanted too support a black business but the site needs major improvements! Sign up at your own risk!

Let me start off as I'm a white male. I joined this site because I find most sites are 99.9% white chicks. I actually prefer someone dark. Not necessarily African American I also date Eastern Indian women too. So far its not that bad. I have obtained a couple phone numbers, met a few women. My problem with this site is not enough members in my area and age range who are actually paying customers and can talk to you. Other than that I've not had any spam, scammers or anything. I think the numbers are inflated meaning when you get a flirt it also sends you a message. You get 2 messages. The actual flirt then the message saying you got a flirt. I think that part is lame. It's to make it look like there is tons more activity on your account than there actually is because before you pay you don't know all the messages you got were really flirt notifications. I wouldn't recommend it unless your area has lots of paying customers but you can't know that for sure.

I have been on this site off and on for two years. Upon first speaking to 90 percent it was a NO after the first phone call. Most are mentally, financially or cosmetically challenged. But the ten that I met were very mannerable and employed. I chose one had a year long relationship and it ended. Working on #2. Even though I had to do a lot of sifting and blocking I still have had more success with bpm than I would have had on my own. My recommendation is to block the coo coos and be patient.

I'vd tried BPM several times over the years, so I can say with conviction"don't waste your time or money"! It is truly filled with a bunch of losers. They have a lot of what I call"ghost profiles" guys long gone, but didn't delete their profiles. A lot of profiles with no pictures or with pictures, but the men didn't take the time to volunteer anything else.men looking for a booty call and nothing more. All my experiences and the guys I did meet on this site have been negative. Though there are probably some good men on this site, I wasn't fortunate enough to meet any of them. I can honestly say I will NEVER subscribe to it again 6/22/16

I was first on the site for two weeks, met someone, then disabled my acct. He and I are currently just friends, but just out of curiosity I got back on the site but only have the one mth subscription. Looking at my profile they know that I am not looking for a long term relationship, just adult, intellectually stimulation, and informative conversation. I removed all my body shots because they really were the main attraction. In all honesty I have met and talked with a lot of respectful gentleman in my area. Was not interested in, nor am I now interested in having sex with any of them. The ones who have tried to play games I quickly flip the switch, game recognizes game. People move too fast on these dating sites, an that is when women are used. I have nothing against the site but trust me, my profile is read for it is quite profound.
