They advertise one price but when you give your credit card info you'll pay double that price with no receipt!

I don't recommend this site at all. Some of the men are married, scammers and perverts. Waste of money

My profile is REAL; I'm REAL. I actually met 3 guys on the site; and I have the phone numbers of 2 others. One of the 3 and myself hit if off quite well; and we are still in touch... HOWEVER, there are some "not so good" men on this site. You see their profile... then you don't. Some of their profiles are VERY similar in content (even with the SAME NAME); some don't have profile photos, and when you ask for it, a FLIRT is sent making it seem as if I am interested; this also happens when you go to "My Daily Matches" "Who Do You Like" and "I'm Interested". Now, giving me the option to decide has been taken away from me AND it's sending the wrong message. If I don't actually "click" on a profile, don't send the members under these categories a "View" from me; because I didn't view them.And another thing: women's picture are showing up under "Who Do You Like" and "New Members In Your Area." I DON'T ROLL LIKE THAT! I'M STRAIGHT/HETEROSEXUAL/LOVE MEN!' And when I send an email regarding these issues, and if they respond, they don't EVER address the issues! Now, I can't login (the error message says "the connection is not private" and I was just on the site last night and on the phone with one of their representatives yesterday! When I called the number just a little while ago, it AUTOMATICALLY disconnects. I have been with this site, off and on, since 2015; and my current subscription ends on March 31.

Their system is WAY out of date; and no one seems to care!

Look like a rip off. At least offer a free trial. Our black people can be so cheap. I'll go back to match.com.....don't deserve a 1

Unfortunately many scam artists from other parts of the world with thick African accent telling stories of richness then suddenly sold land in Denmark to Dubai person who paid in diamonds to tune of 7.5 million then was heOf at the airport with the diamonds on flight to the USA and will need lawyer and need 9500 dollars to be sent to a Texas account which will be sent to an Arab Lawyer in Dubai to represent him and you will be Cosignatory to the account until the money is cleared, Fake affidavit with account was sent. Theses look real., also fake travel itinerary. The scam deepens when other fake accounts with over 20 million dollars in BofA in the states was sent to prove how wealthy he is. Later on he moved in for the big one through the fake Imperial Bank manager alias P Jackson instructing to open Commercial account in tune if $*******to unfroze the 7.5 Million dollars. A lot of things did not add up and he was confronted with this. This is a big schemes with lawyers, notaries, children, Fake disabled people, many telephone untraceable numbers and fake business in Ohio. Luckily this scam was found out in time and the authorities were notified. Be wary of De B. Please be careful. Have a monitoring company if you go on these sites to monitor for any fraudulent transactions towards your name.

I have been on the site since April 2016 and will be discontinuing my subscription in 2017. It is nice if you want to just get out sometimes to meet people. I have met some nice quality Black men on the site and know of people who actually met their husbands/wives on dating sites, but I have met more jerks than anything on this one (not looking like their picture at all (posting 10 years+ pictures), only wanting sex, lying about their age and situation and just not having their lives in order.) I have also tried eharmony and match and my experience has been other Black people on those sites are looking for the "other" and don't want a relationship with a Black person (I have also heard this from other Black people)

I suggest look up a person on your state court websites, GOOGLE their name, Facebook or Linkedin accounts, background check subscriptions as you ask the important questions. With the internet, it is easy to find out about a person, it just takes some time.

The interface is terrible, I hate the flirts, they serve no purpose and should be removed from the site, along with the automated messages. If a person likes your picture, they should be forced to send a regular email communicating like people should do and not hide behind those stupid automated messages.

I understand they need ads but the ads are all over the place and interfere with the viewing of the site, the algorithms they use need to be updated. Fortunately I have not had problems with being over charged, but have heard that from other people i have met. To me this shows the owners of this site are making money without any effort. I wish they could verify the users. Sadly a lot of people use it so they have no need to do better.

Black People Meet feels like many other sites when you start, but disappointment can set in pretty quickly.
For instance, I was often given alleged "matches" that were quite far from my chosen criteria, including 20 years younger than what I was looking for, and 100 miles further away than I wanted.
Also, there are some technical features which need improvement. A member can log on and do nothing and the site tells others that the member is online, but the person does not respond. You learn that just because someone is listed as being online doesn't mean that the person is actively engaged in using the site. There should be an inactivity shutoff so that someone cannot appear to be online for hours or even days without actively using the site.
Another problem is multiple profiles of the same person. One day, my "Today's Matches" contained 3 profiles which were all from the same person, with identical pictures and text! Evidently when a member forgets his/her profile and cannot access it, it stays "active" even when the person creates a new profile. This is ridiculous!
Another issue is profiles of different people with verbatim verbiage, leading to the conclusion that someone is providing canned phrases, sentences and paragraphs for use by inarticulate people. This is particularly annoying, because I like to see how a person expresses himself, in his own words.
Worse yet, it appears that Black People Meet tries to play Cupid by randomly sending flirts. Many times I have had people respond to flirts they allegedly received from me which I never sent. I NEVER send flirts because they are canned messages and I prefer to express myself in my own words... more honest and gives potential matches more to go on in terms of learning who and what I am...

Guy#1 Met one guy who continuously complained about his baby mama. After the third date he told me 'you gotta go easy cuz it's rent week this week' I offered to help with the costs of dates straight off the bat. Who wants to hear that when you are getting to know someone? He then insisted that we should continue to date but at his place. Whaaaaaatttt?

Guy #2: Continuously talked about the number of degrees he had, as if they were glued to his back or he wore them like a cape. We had a mild debate about womens' clothing - he snapped at me for not choosing to wear whore-ish clothing and abruptly hung up after a rude tirade

Guy#3: Met a very attractive dude. We had great conversations for about a week before meeting. The first date he asked me to pick him up. He indicated that he could not get through the snow. I said no because I think that if two people are mutually interested they should find a point to meet that is a public place, especially if it is the first date. He seemed salty but we finally made plans for the next day. We had a great lunch, talked for a long time. He then told me he was planning to go to his friend's house, then he said he had to run to his daughter's house. I said 'ok', but I felt like I was being brushed off. Spoke with him the next day and again had a great conversation. All the while, I noticed that his calls/texts got less. He eventually vanished.
