After rumbling through a few profiles, one stuck out with a question... Do I work for transit? Lol Talking to him was like having a twin sister, we clicked instantly with our personalities, interests in same things, etc. Sometimes you gotta be patient and the right one will find you.
Don't waste your time on this site. All these paid clients have the same old storyline. Save your money, their stories are so similar, their photos are fake, they lie to get the you paying for a subscription. Do your homework concerning this site and most men live hundreds of miles from your location.
I have been off and on this site for a while now. Whenever I let my subscription expire magically I have over 200 views and messages the next day. This is all to make you sign up again. I set what my preferences are and that isn't filtered in. Not to mention my matches of the day are always very young or very old, no where near what I want. Rip off... they need to be investigated and refund consumers money.
I get a lot of emails from men on this site compared to white-oriented sites, such as Match and EHarmony. Most of the Black men on the mainstream sites don't email me; they want non-Black or light-skinned Black women.
I am flattered with all the emails from brothers who appreciate the beauty of my brown skin. During the year that I have been a member of this site, I have dated no one. This is because I screen out men. He has to live near me and be at least 5'8". Unfortunately, most of the men who email me are significantly shorter than that.
I registered on line and kept getting responses over 111 of them from females. I am a female interested in males only. The 111 responses appeared to be a scam to encourage up grade. I had previously requested assistance through email for correcting gender and to no avail I never received assistance. I decided to unsubscribe from emails, the emails keep coming. RIDICULOUS!
There is no phone number or any personal way to contact customer service.
First of all I dont think the site is a scam, the guys on there are scammers. And it goes on in every dating sight. I met one guy from Long Island on there, turns out he is a thief. Corned me out of several thousands, but he has been caught, I met one before him, decent guy, great career, we met but he was a bit on the wild side by tradition, I ended it but with no hard feelings. Ladies, no matter where you date, just beware. Its all I can say. I would not go on any sites after this experience.
I signed up for an one month membership one week ago, but my account was terminated today when I refused to allow my information to be shared with their advertisers. I have tried to contact the site to no avail to make sure they have also terminated the membership auto-renewal since I don't have access, I can't terminate it. I agree with the other reviewers regarding the site's lack of communication, non existence customer service, and gravestone profiles. The site recently made some changes that don't appear to be for the better. They still send matches that don't meet your selected preferences. Another new negative in my opinion is the site is aggressively gathering users information and when you do not allow your information to be shared with their "affiliates", your account is terminated without notice or explanation and your profile is flagged as a "Fake Profile". But they have no problem with keeping your real money. JN
Tip for consumers:
Company goes to extremes to prevent users from contacting them directly when you encounter a problem with the site.
BPM is 100% fraud, a total money-making scheme! The women get paid. Their job is to entice you to buy more credits and keep you on a chat session. If you have ever used a normal and reputable dating site you know how genuine women act. They don't bombard you with 10 messages per day (especially if you never reply), they don't chat with you 24/7 and they don't tell you what they want to do with your body in the first letter (regardless of the fact that you don't even have a photo in your profile).
Well, they do all of this on BlackPeopleMeet - there are all kinds of red flags for fraud. You have been warned, guys!
Pretty famous dating site for african americans, maybe the biggest. I really like the way its all set up, nice and simple to use and really easy to find find someone to chat with. Will stick with it for now and may add up a second option, BlackSingles4u, as a couple of friends have been using it and they are pretty satisfied. For now four stars. Don't see any 'scam evidence' yet.
My credit card was charged for a 6 month subscription, I subscribed to a one (1) month. Tried contacting BPM via email, could not find number to call. Contacted bank to stop payment, really time consuming.
I actually had a great experience with bpm! (No I don't work for bpm :) the experience is a bit overwhelming because of all of the messages, the creeps, and the bs, but if you're patient, you will meet the right person. I met someone from the site who has been a blessing in my life and we've been together for 7 months now. He only lives 10 minutes away from me. If for some reason this doesn't work, i will go back to bpm. Hope this helps someone!
Let God be my witness! I'm not going to lie older men and them let me holler at you round the way dudes are on this site. (BUT) this site (with the help of God himself) allowed me to meet the most caring loving guy in the world. I met my future husband on this site (we're getting married October, 25,2014) and been together almost 2 years.
I was charged $25 dollars when I chose a one month subscription. I called Customer service and they were no help. BPM gives 50% off of their monthly $15 rate, which amounts to $7.50, however, when I selected that plan, I was billed for a 6 month plan. I called CS, which is apparently in India, and the best they could offer was the full one month fee. Also, the site is mostly a waste of time. Too many flirts, no real messages, and just men from hundreds of miles away. DON'T JOIN!
I met the biggest best player on this site with photos still over 10 years old or more probably. His profile was exactly what I was looking for in a man and then after months of on and off interaction I finally realized I was just part of his "starting line-up!" Incredible! I wish there was way to ship all these guys to the player factory!
Most of the men on the site are rejects. They are either just plain crazy, jilted by an ex, players or very height or weight challenged. And the funny part is they are actually looking for the perfect women in spite of their reject status. A total waste of money. If you find a decent man on this site he will be one in a million.
David H. And Ann C. Must work for the company (which happens to be owned & operated by whites). The choice of Black Men that actually have anything more than sex to offer are EXTREMELY limited on this site. Don't bother listing preferences, they'll "match" you with any age/sex/and location to make it seem like you've got several options. You will find the same guys on every other site including Craigslist. BPM is a rip-off.
I was getting messages from 98% men who were from out of state. Not good. Then two men contacted me who lived in my city. Good. One was a total dud. But the last one (who had been attempting to contact me for quite a while), is quite a gentleman. We've been dating for six months, now. I am so glad I stopped ignoring him just because of 99% duds.
Well first off the site is totally against any bashing of them on their own site. I only stated that I am not renewing my membership on my profile and they delete everything off my page. Also the members are more into looking than responding after sending many notes only had 2 replies within 2 months. The site is a total waste of money, I had better luck on eharmony than this crappy site.
I've been on this site for five months. I have gone out on a lot of dates, however, I've only found interest in one of the guys. Last night, we went out on our 5th date.
In essence, I would say most of the guys were nice, but, I didn't feel a love connection with them. In my opinion, the site is better than Match.com, as they guys are super picky.
Good luck with the site.
This site will steal your money like a professional pick pocket. If you sign up for 1 month they will be lots of algorithmic fake activity on your account to get you to subscribe for subsequent months. If you cancel the auto renew, they will try to bait you with a 50% reduction for the second month. If you insist on not auto renewing, then that's it, you're done. You can send 100 messages and not get a single view. You will be like a fish out of water with no way to get back in the game. I'm glad I followed my instincts and only subscribed for 1 month.
This site Is awful. First and foremost, I believe the people who control the sight are setting up fake and phony profiles. I stop paying for the service last year. They just recently updated their software, and I cannot delete viewers who have viewed my profile.
The worst site ever it's not worth the money or time just a lot of clutter from people who don't pay and don't read the profiles they will not let you say what you want in your profile and the men are old ugly horn dogs
I cannot believe the men on here. This site is a waist of time. After dealing with these men you are grateful your single. The men on this site are the bottom of the barrel. They are rude, perverts, and have mental health issues. I went out on a date with 5 so called men. 2 were perverts, 2 had mental health issues, and 1 was in a wheelchair that I didn't know about till I met him. He even wanted me to sit on his lap in a mall, Dude really! The rest of the men just want to talk and text over the phone. They want you to send nude pictures and talk dirty. They are just a bunch of broken men who can't get or keep a woman to save their lives. The men are rude and it's always about them. I can see why their single. Don't waist your time on this site not to mention the other rip offs that goes on there. After being on BPM you'll be glad your single. It will make you rethink getting into a relationship. Run save yourselves the men are not worth it!
BlackPeopleMeet looks like a scam, smells like a scam and is a scam!
I received messages that addressed me by a different sign on name than the one I was using. You get the run around when it comes to setting up a date because the guy you think you're sending your messages to does not exist! I can't believe the folks behind BlackPeopleMeet take advantage of people like this. Our society is crumbling because there are so many wolves in the world who will do anything for a dollar.
Tip for consumers:
BEWARE OF BLACKPEOPLEMEET
If there are black women looking for a man who is successful, respectful and have decency, this is NOT the site. I cancelled my subscription in July, it's late September and I'm still getting notices from the site. These men are BUMS, disable, creeps and homeless. Don't even bother.
Also be careful catfish accounts, fake photos from scammers in my case men in some other country sending fake pictures, pretending to be a women asking for money. Had to report scammer to federal bureau investigation cyber division.
This site is a big huge scam and the decent profiles are fake. They make it difficult to unsubscribe and will fraudulently renew your subscription hoping you're not paying attention. This is the worst site ever. Stay away..
Tip for consumers:
Dont use this site its a scam and they will rip you off
