We've done three rooms with three different types/styles of blinds/shades. All were exactly as ordered, reasonably priced and look fabulous. Working on the next room and will be contacting Blindster for our window coverings
What I thought was a good deal wasn't. The price on their website was decent, so I ordered two small blinds in anticipation to buy more if the quality was good. We'll, after waiting over a month, my blinds were still "in production." Their warehouse must be in China because it would take days to get a response from them, according to their customer service rep. Their customer service is subpar. Takes 24-48 hours to get a response. Their "reviews" must be fake because my experience was horrible. I'd rather go with Lowe's or Home Depot.
I found an incredible bargain using blindster.com over other online retailers. Initially I thought they were a little slow and had to call them to ask about my order but they committed to shipping the very next business day and then they arrived 2 days later. I actually have not yet hung the blinds yet but I'm sure I will be pleased.
I heard the ads on Rush's show and decided to order them site unseen by phone. I had confidence in the quality just listening to their guarantee. I ordered 5 large white insulated blinds. They came in exactly 2 weeks to the day as promised. They installed easily and really do insulate. I opened the blinds on a 6 foot wide box bay window and the heat poured out of it from the sun. They will pay for themselves keeping unwanted heat out during A/C season and heat in during heating season. 5 blinds were 500 dollars. They are not blinds as you would think. You cannot adjust them so you can look out. They are solid, pleated, double walled material that fold up when you hoist them up. Get white as I did if you want light and insulation at the same time.
I have used blinds.com for my last 6 houses, but I decided to give blindster a chance because I had been hearing so many commercials. I was very disappointed with the switch. This is a much cheaper looking product and the installation was much more difficult. Their valance system is not adjustable like blinds.com, and their large head screws make it impossible to slide the head rail in. The blinds look ok, but I won't be a repeat customer.
We purchased blinds for the entire house and they arrived very quickly and each one was a perfect fit. I really like the "two on one" head rail feature that allows us to adjust two blinds independently. The magnetic valence for the larger blinds is very strong and does not budge or bow. I wish we could have gotten these on the smaller blinds too instead of the clips just as a matter of convenience (the clips are perfectly fine). The value and quality for the money is unbeatable. I highly recommend them.
I had an odd window size (58" x 21") and needed the type service provided by Blindster, com. Measuring was easy and they fit as they were supposed to. My wife and myself were very happy customers with the result. I already had experience with shortening blinds and did not want to do that again. Plus I would have not had any idea about cutting blinds to a certain width. We were also pleased with the prices for our blinds -
I went to a big box store and purchased one window blind off the shelf. It was two blinds too long but figured we would have it drawn a little anyway. Installation was the same but the bulb on the bottom of the cord broke. I needed to order to get the right size for my other two windows and they were out of stock. I tried Blindster, was able to order immediately with delivery in less than 2 weeks. They fit perfectly, looked nicer and cost less. Happy happy happy
I have ordered 5 sets of blinds from Blindster and love them. Don't know how they do it, but the blind fits perfectly even though I measured for them. My favorite part is they make them and send you the correct length so you don't have to go through the hard part of shortening them. I always screw that up. Compared prices and theirs are great and comparable to Lowes and worth a little bit more money for convenience of custom made and delivered to your door. GREAT FIND!
We purchased the cellular blinds for our bathroom bay windows, they look fantastic, very clean look and can be dressed up to look even fancier. They have helped tremendously reducing the heat coming through the windows in the Houston summer! We still have single pane Windows on half the house that need upgrading and this will definitely buy us time to do so.
The color samples we received in the mail were a big help deciding what color to choose :)
Everything was pretty much perfect: the blinds were shipped pretty quickly and the quality was high for a low price. Even the hanging process went well, although the instructions they included did not match the parts with my blinds, so I had to go rogue on that. Even so it was really easy to figure out what needed to be done. I've already recommended blindster to others.
I ordered solar blinds for our mid-century modern house. It has nonstandard Windows (ceiling to floor, different widths). The instructions were simple and clear. The blinds do just what I wanted----they block out the morning sun. They look great, too. We will get similar blinds for the other rooms.
One of the 5 roman shades I ordered had no holes drilled in the top. Another had a cut cord, which I painstakingly tied and glued back together-still has a hard time going thru the rings. I can't swear that my installer might have been responsible for that, though
I ordered 8 premium cellular blinds. Their measuring instructions were spot on. The blinds were easy to install and look beautiful. Very polished look. They fit perfectly. American made, so much better than the junk from China.
Our experience with Blindster.com was excellent! There were lots of window covering options and with free samples, we were able to select just the right colors for our rooms. The blinds were fairly easy to install and, so far, work perfectly! We have an issue with a few blinds, due to a mistake we made when ordering but contacted customer service and it will be very easy to rectify the problem. We really appreciate the return policy - excellent customer service! We would definitely recommend Blindster.com (and have already ordered more blinds for another room!). Thank you!
Ordered the samples to get an idea of which color fit the room best... then submitted the sizes needed... they arrived in a timely manner and were easy to install... windows look great! Price was great too!
Kris was an incredible help in placing my order. The website explains clearly how to measure your windows. The product is well constructed and arrived earlier than expected. Nice product and excellent website, plus solid customer service.
I had to do a lot of troubleshooting with customer service regarding this order due to the uniqueness of my needs. They were very patient and helpful every step along the way. They stand by their promises
My wife has wanted plantation shutters and when she contacted local stores and got quotes I stated there is no way am spending that kind of money. I started investigating on the internet and found Blindster and decided that when I retired I could do the installation so I have finished four rooms so far. Great quality and customer services.
Thanks
Bob from Louisville
Ordered product online. Received product timely. They fit precisely as measured. Installation was a snap... literally and figuratively. Never had cordless before but they work and look great! Definitely will order again.
We ordered two 70+ inch wide blinds for our dining room windows. Both were defective when we received them and Blindster was very generous in agreeing to remake both blinds. The only reason they lost the last star was that the quality of the blinds is slightly less than what I expected. The price was reasonable for custom made blinds though, so I guess I can't complain too much!
I got my top down/bottom up blinds about 6 months ago and I love them. They were much less expensive than other sites also. I had someone come to my house to clean it, and she broke one of the chords on the blinds. I contacted Blindster to ask if I could pay to have it fixed and they sent me a free shipping label and said they'd fix it for FREE. What?! That is amazing.
Helpful people on the phone and they deliver exactly what you order and the quality of the blinds and hardware is excellent. Oh yeah, the prices are very good.
My son was impressed enough with my experience that he ordered blinds for his house from Blindster. Can't go wrong with these folks!
Generally good blinds, well cut to size (other sites only cut width, not length), and quick delivery. Blinds easy to install with basic tools; they work well, with only small issues. One, on very wide blinds you only get one handle to raise/lower them, but could use two to ensure they raise evenly on both ends. Two, when hanging down for a while, they are harder to raise as the cells don't collapse easily. They go up with a little jockeying, but again two handles would make the refolding easier. Finally the handles attach to the bottom metal strip and hold the strip about a quarter inch off the sill plate. This can let more cold air leak into the room than corded blinds which sit flush with the sill plate.
I ordered roller shades for our ranch cabin - the shades are great. My only negative is the measuring and even though I was provided assistance, the shades were about 1/2 inch too narrow, but they will work. My customer service representative, Sandra, was terrific! Can't say enough good things about her help.
Most of the blinds came with a dented track, but the valance covered them. Three of them were cut improperly, and one of them didn't work at all, because they could not be opened or closed (vertices blind would not pull or rotate). The mistake proof guarantee which they said was free in fact was not, and there was a $15 charge to re-order per blind! The end caps on the valances are sloppy and just fall off. It's unfortunate to make a product work you have to superglue it!
I order a lot of blinds for property management and this was my first experience with blindster. I'm awaiting the products which have been re-ordered, which holds up my ability to lease or sell a property. It's also a pain and expense to remove the existing work and replace it (which includes removing all the slats, taking down the rail, then replacing the defective rail and replacing the slats, hoping they came down in tact!). All these before I've even used one!
With well over 100 years combined experience in the industry, when it comes to custom window coverings, there's no question we can’t answer, no solution we can't find, and no problem we can't fix. At Blindster.com we've sold millions of blinds to satisfied customers across the country. With an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction, we've grown into one of the largest online retailers of custom window blinds in the U.S.
In the fall of 1999, our CEO left a job in sales at a Fortune 500 company to start a business. With $5,000 in savings and no experience in the window covering or eCommerce industry, he started a company to sell blinds on the Internet. In February 2000, just days before the dot-com crash, he launched the company. Despite the poor timing, in less than five years the business grew to become one of the largest custom window covering retailers in the U.S., with sales exceeding $25M annually. He decided to sell that business, but just a few years later, he decided to give it another go. On December 9th, 2010, Blindster.com was born.
I'm sorry you had a problem with your order! I will call you today because I show that your replacement blind and headrail were delivered yesterday.
Our limited lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects for as long as you own the blinds. And we replaced the damaged headrail at no charge (wand not working properly). The $15 shipping charge was for the fit or free remake of the horizontal fauxwood blinds that was needed at a different size. We pay for the new blinds and you just pay for shipping.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
