I've been ordering from Book Outlet for over a year now and love everything about them. When I find a book I've been wanting to read and am able to get it for such a reasonable price that's awesome, but then it arrives in such a short period of time, well that's even better! I'm a Book Outlet shopper for good now!

Everything was great: selection, price, and shipping times... EXCEPT the way the books are packaged. You just had them loose in a box nd both books arrived dented and bent. Please secure the books down in the box with actual packing materials (bubbe wrap, crumbled up paper, etc.)!

I have order several times from this company. They are the text book definition of "buy at your own risk." I have had order where the books came at great condition. I have had orders where the books came in TERRIBLE condition. I also never bought any of their "scratch and dent" items. You also maybe NOT be getting all the books you think you have ordered. You won't be getting an e-mail about it either. They just won't show up. Their customer service are some sad angry people who treat you like a moron and won't do a thing to help you. The only time it's good is when the book comes good (50/50 chance of that) and you don't have to deal with their $#*!y customer service people.

If the books had arrived in time for the family event, it may have been a pleasant experience. As it were, I no longer need the books and am now being asked to pay shipping to return the unopened box.

Usually very good, but this time one of the titles I received was messed up pretty bad, specifically the copy of Wild Cards Book12. Didn't want to go to all the hassle of trying to return for a replacement, especially considering how much longer it takes thanks to the Post office adding an extra 3 days to mail deliveries.

I was deeply concerned about my orders as I read the reviews after I paid for them, but was pleasantly surprised when my order of 6 books arrived within a 2 week window in Vancouver, as did an order of 7 different books sent to my sister as a birthday gift (to Oakville). They were all "bargain" books, but the minor blemishes associated with them were hardly cause for the greatly discounted prices I paid, so no complaints. I would actually rate this experience as 4.5 if I could. I only rate 5's when I experience consistently good service. So if I experience the same quality and service on my next order, I'll bump my rating up to a 5.

I love to read and a friend recommended this website. It seemed too good to be true but I have it a shot! The books arrived in about 1.5 weeks in excellent packaging. I was nervous to open the box because I wasn't sure what the condition would be but the books are new! They were all in excellent condition! I've now referred this site to many of my friends! I'll definitely be back for more books in the future!

I received a damaged book and that was not a good first experience with Book Outlet. I was not planning on using them again. UNTIL I talked with customer service. Hands down will be coming back just because of the customer service. They quickly made the situation right and I cannot thank them enough for that!

Do not like 30th sticker on the front cover. Too difficult to remove. I ordered 13 books and only 3 were delivered yesterday, hoping the others will be delivered soon. Tracking didn't note more than 1 pkg.

Two of the books I ordered have unusual damages. They're both readable, but have damaged dust jackets. Specifically, "Mediocre" has dirt and scuff markings all over the front, back, and spine. No rips, but it looks like it was slid across a dirty warehouse floor a few hundred times. "Half Blown Rose" has large pieces of packaging holding down the flaps of the book to its cover. If removed, the hardcover would definitely tear. I expect the random sharpie dot or line on the page edges, but this was pretty excessive IMO. None of this was shipping related—the box wasn't opened, dented, or damaged in any way.

As a book lover, I've shopped at Book Outlet for years now. The prices cannot be beat, particularly given the condition of the books. I've never had a book look anything less than brand new, with the exception of the black marker on the bottom edge of the pages. The selection is outstanding. You can search specific books or find something you didn't know you needed! The shipping times ARE significantly slower than Amazon - but THIS IS NOT AMAZON. It usually takes a week to ten days for shipments to get to me, so set your expectations accordingly.

The new site is very slow, allows searching only 1 category at a time (filter collapses upon entering 1category), and locked my device from loging in after a faulty loop of account verify codes, so I can't buy, and can't reach someone for help, a week into this and my requests are still ignored.

The shopping experience at Book Outlet was good, and the prices were amazing. The communication regarding the tracking was lacking a bit (however I do not know if it was the fault of the vendor or of the USPS). I ordered just before Christmas and the books arrived yesterday (January 4,2023)...however the USPS website still shows it as in transit. Ugh! LOL

Some of my books I received came with the pages bent inside. Also, at the bottom of 3 of the books, it has this weird goo on it that looks like it might've been from a sticker and marker markings on them.

The box used to ship the books had fallen apart completely and my books were actually delivered in a mail bag instead. You may want to find a better quality box or pack them in a larger box that is more sturdy

The product is great quality and I am more than happy with the price I paid. The only complaint I do have is that it came days after the original estimated delivery date so my child didn't receive it until after Christmas.

I ordered a book (third party purchase) that was sent from the Book Outlet. Enclosed was a bookmarker that said "You can't buy happiness but you can buy books and it's kind of the same thing." Never truer words spoken. I have faced some debilitating health issues that have changed my lifestyle, but nothing, absolutely nothing, will change the joy I derive from my books. The bookmark is sealed in plastic and is a treasure. Thank you!

I ordered 2 paperbacks from Book Outlet and I was in no hurry for them. It took about 10 days for them to arrive and they were packaged very well and are in excellent condition. Great experience...I will order from them again.

I absolutely love all of the deals. Sometimes, it gets a little overwhelming to navigate the sites with so many genres - but I guess that's probably necessary with so many books! The prices are definitely worth any "hassle" of the navigation, though!
