“Employee XK972923 amazing service”

Aurora h.
10/15/21

I called to activate my phone using a boost card the man who answered was very very helpful. He took his time explaining exactly what he needed and how I could get the information so he could turn on my phone. He remained positive throughout the entire call and even made small talk while waiting for the for the results to go through. 10/10 service someone i want to handle my technical issues in the future.

“ORDERING A NEW PHONE SUCKS/ALONG WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE”

john A.
9/27/24

They do not have the phones they sell in stock to ship out within a good time frame! It takes them at least a week to even ship, even though they took the money from my account! What the heck? Phone service is good. Their customer service people suck too, even supposed supervicer. What the heck. Phones bought and paid for in total or payment they have for them should be able to ship within 24 hours for a big company like them. Seems like they have to order it, then ship to the custer!

Purchased SIM at Target since it was on sale for $14.99 for 3 month service vs. regular $45. Thought, can't beat the price and website confirmed phone was compatible. Porting in was fine, but thereafter, no incoming calls came through; could make outgoing calls, but each call took 30 to 40 secs to connect and ring. Called customer service (definitely not U.S. based) and was informed that an expedited request to fix the issue was submitted to the tech department. Waited about 6 hrs and no fix. Decided to buy Mint's SIM and port out number from Boost. Called CS to request port out PIN. As I could not receive any incoming calls, they could not call my phone to verify and issue a PIN. Hence, they asked for the ICCID # from the SIM card envelope. Unfortunately, I had thrown out the envelop and asked if there was any other way. CS informed me that my only option was to go to a Boost store. Asked to transfer me to a U.S. CS department which I know exists as I was transferred for my initial tech issue, where I was informed that the first people who answer the calls are their "first-line" reps. Long story short, I was not transferred to a U.S. rep but to another foreign supervisor, who when I again asked to transfer me to a U.S. rep, hung up. When I attempted to call back (twice), coincidentally, after the automated message said "transferring you to a rep..." it just hung up both times. Fortunately, googled ICCID # and found out that you can retrieve it from your phone in Settings. After calling back from a different number so that I wouldn't be hung up again, I was able to get through and by the grace of God, gave my ICCID # and received PIN. Switched out to Mint the same minute.

I have been around the block and few times in my life and encountered a lot of different circumstances and people, but Boost Mobile takes the price for a whole host of issues. If you are smart, choose a different cellular service.

I have used several different cellular services over the years and they all have difficulties from time to time. But, Boost Mobile ALWAYS has some kind of issue going on. I bought a new phone from there the other day and I was in their store for well over 3 hours, and the phone still wasn't activated. So, I left and went back a couple of hours later, still no phone. Finally, after about 5 hours, I left with my little bright orange package that was to include the phone, hard case, glass cover, and my receipt. When I arrived home, I attempted to make a phone call and was told there were no minutes on my phone. You mean to tell me after I just spent 5 long hours, $170, and I still could not make a call? So, I phoned the store and was told to wait for another full hour and try again. The hour went by and I still had no service, and to top that, there was no receipt for my purchase in the package. I called the store again and was told that they put the receipt inside the box... and I told them no they did not. When I asked why I still could not make a call, I was told to wait another 30 to 45 minutes and then try again. Needless to say, that didn't work either. So I called back again, and this time I got some RUDE man that told me they were having problems... really? Gee... I would have never guessed.

When I expressed my disappointment with the whole transaction, he told me to have a nice night and hung up on me.

If you have Boost Mobile... I suggest you go shopping... If you don't have Boost Mobile... DON'T get sucked into their BS.

Needless to say, I am already shopping for a different service. Boost Mobile needs to get their act together, and while they are at it, they need to hire people with manners.

The worst customer service ever. Especially the porting department. I would not recommend this service to no one.

Tip for consumers:
I was on hold for over a hour, all I was trying to do was port my number over to the new carrier.

Rule #1: DO BE NICE TO THE CSR! I've been with Boost for a loooooong time. Other providers started offering twice as much data for less money. I called Boost the first time and followed all the prompts to FINALLY get to a CSR and the gal put me on mute then sent me to CLAIMS when I was calling to adjust my plan. That was unskilled professionalism. I hung up and dialed back, pressing the heck outta "0" and I got an AAWESOME CSR named Lorenzo, who actually cared about my call! He reviewed my account (which was past due by one day, and service was already restricted), told me that he saw how long I had been with Boost Mobile and asked me to wait for him to check some options. I got that far with the first CSR, so I was hopeful but not expectant. Lorenzo came back with a deal better than I contacted them for and I WILL remain a Boost Mobile customer.

Remember- always be nice to your CSR- they're just a person trying to pay their rent, too. And always be hopeful. Each person's account is unique and there are different options for each caller. I used to be an inbound CSR for nearly every American (and many Canadian) businesses. It did give me the "warm fuzzies" to say goodbye to someone I'd helped and related to- we are all people. :)

The government made available a plan for people with financial difficulties to obtain internet access or & plan service through phone carriers. Boost Mobile seems to have used this to bring more customers to their website. Not only do they have links to their own website advertising this option, but if you try to look for other places to communicate about their non-compliance with that program those websites ultimately take you right back to Boost Mobile to sign up for their regular plans.
I initially followed their instructions to apply for this program which took me next to the government website. I then applied there & was accepted. I was told now to let Boost Mobile or some other carrier know that I had been accepted. Boost Mobile asked me for my e-code. I talked with the government rep who said no such code was necessary or existed. He said all that was necessary to tell Boost was that my application had been accepted & give my application number. When I returned to Boost Mobile to tell them this, they now said they had no record of my application. They said that I needed to apply for one & upload my information which I had done before.
In other words, even though the government said I was accepted into the program, Boost was not going to accept that government acceptance and enroll me in the program.
What seems to be going on here is the infamous & illegal 'bait & switch' game where a business will use one item to draw you to their business & then that initial option will not be available. Next they plan to sign you up (in this case) to their regular plan. You will never be able to get the government program coverage.

I have called to complain about an extra service not working, monthly over payments taken by boost on an account that is at least six years with boost auto pay. The answers given are from a guidebook, when you ask to speak to a supervisor you get put on hold (until you get sick of waiting or they cut you off) When you ask their name again they give you and "Americanized" name that they can not pronounce. Ask where they are in the World, they won't answer. Ask to talk to someone in the US they give another runaround repeating what was said earlier. They have stated many times they will make the corrections and I should see the credits the next billing period the next month. With Dish buying Boost Mobile the FCC said the monopoly that T mobile had when they bought out Sprint and Boost was the sub service it had to be sold off. So Dish bought it, however they did not make it known until March 2022 that all the Boost subscribers had to change phones as their old phones would no longer work as of the end of March 2022. What a run around and headache that was. The local Boost store the clerk was an a** on the phone. Saying he had no idea if and when the Motorola moto plus would or if ever be available at that store. When I said I am a resident at a nearby nursing home, his answer was "We don't deliver or ship" I spoke later that night with a relative and forwarded the email Boost sent me. They went into a store in Texas (I live in Wisconsin) and they had no problem getting me the "FREE" up grade phone. Which turns out to be another 4g lte phone, probably on a different set of frequencies and NOT a 5 g phone. To me it sounds like the reuse of, new old stock, soon to be out of date phones.

Hello All, let me tell you a story about Boost Mobile. I first started off in this past December by purchasing two (2) Samsung Prevail cell phones and only paying $55.00 plus $5 for insurance and everything is unlimited, text, internet, calls, pics, ringtones, navigation and more. Sounds like a great deal and I thought so too. Well, I tried to download apps and because the phone comes with its own apps there is very little room for your apps and immediately runs out of space, so now you cannot update your apps, there is no space, you cannot delete there apps. I have absolutely no space for any apps I want, so, I went out and purchased a ZTE smartphone. Plenty of storage for all the apps you want but now I have another problem and this time it very very bad reception and the volume on the phone is low and I can't turn it up any further. I call up warranty department and the first person tells me she will email me everything I need to know to send the phone back. Well, I get the email and the bottom half is gone, so I have no mailing of the unit. I call back another day and this time the person keeps asking me the same questions over and over and I then told him to write it down. He too said he will email all the information and I waited and waited and waited and you get the idea, NOTHING. I have had it, now I go back to apple and get my Iphone and whatever else I need. Done, and I mean done with Boost Mobile. Boost Mobile called me at home and wanted to make things right and I said you could not because I will still be dealing with the same people. NO. I can only warn you not to go cheap because that is what you get, at least at Boost Mobile. And I lived happily ever after. Bye, Bye for now. Stuart S. Reporting

I used my Boost app for Boost Mobile I pay for the $50 unlimited plan my plan details clearly State word for word mobile ultimize streaming videos games and music unlimited data on the expanded Network unlimited music streaming no data yet at 35 gigs of data when there was no data charges boost completely shut my internet off I have no data now I called them they tell me it was an inconvenience and it's a misunderstanding that they'll give me two gigs for free if I would accept it I said yeah sure they charged me $10 for it so Boost Mobile horrible compared to straight talk cuz no matter what you pay you can only get 35 gigs of data from them you can go to AT&t pay 65 a month you get unlimited everything I'm pretty sure straight talk's like 55 a month unlimited everything $45 you get like 45 gigs or some crap like that so everything from coming to get your hands on is better than boost that's really sad super disappointed in Boost Mobile for telling me I had no data charges for music and video and then charging me hands down do not buy boost

Tip for consumers:
No matter what boost tells you or what your plan says you only get 35 gigs of data and they shut your data off completely

On Tuesday September 8th I sent a friend of mine to Boost Mobile to sign me up. Because I could not make it. While he was there, he had the person on Phone with me and all he asked was my IMEI number. Not once did he asked if I wanted a new phone.
Only found this out afterwards that if I was with Verizon that if I switched into boots mobile I would get a new phone. What back in and spoke to the person on Friday and he told me it was too late I had to get a new phone when I signed up. I explain to him that he never asked me If I wanted new phone and that I could get a free one because I was coming from Verizon. He offered to show me another phone and I told him why should I pay for something I was supposed to get for free so do. On September 12 I called Boost Mobile at 12:00 p.m., and spoke to Rashmi. She assured me she understood my situation and sent me to a store in Farmville and they would give me the phone. When I got there the woman said that there was nothing she could do for me. I came back home and called Boost Mobile again At 4:30 p.m. After explain to this new person what was going on, I was put on hold then disconnected after a 1/2 hour. I called back again at 5:35 p.m. Again, explaining my situation got put on hold and disconnected 24 min later. Called back again at 6:00 p.m. I was told this time by the gentleman after I told him the situation that someone would call me back here it is almost A-day later and no call back. Went on boost Mobil web site chat and tried to resolve my problem after over an hour on line still the same problem. They do not care about their customers once you sign up. Going back to Verizon I can not do busines. With a company that does not want to do the right thing and admit there representative made a mistake. My opinion id Boost Mobil is a terrible company and would recommend every one to stay far away.

I've been with Boost for years. Overall good service until recently.
I have the family plan (2 lines). My son's phone was stolen so I purchased a replacement at the store. We both waited in the store for the clerk to cancel the stolen one and activate the new one. While we were waiting, I received an email informing me that a family member had left the family plan and that my new balance would be less due to there only being 1 line on the account. I showed it to the clerk and she called customer service. She then t told me that they said for me not to worry about it because they were transferring phone lines to a new system and that the reason I received the email was because mine was transferred already but the other one hadn't been yet. 3 days passed and I still hadn't received an email showing the correction, and being concerned about how to pay the bill that was due the next day, I called customer service to ask. After speaking with 2 different reps, I finally found one that spoke English clearly enough to be understood. This one told me that boost didnt have a family plan anymore. The rep.the next day told me that it would be transferred before my bill was due. The next day being the due date (and unable to accomplish anything through customer support,) I went back to the store to try on their end again. This time a different clerk called her supervisor who informed her that I would be given a credit for the other line which would keep it on if it wasn't transferred after the due date. I paid the bill and left. It's now the day after and my sons phone, (that he depends heavily on for his job) is now shut off. Called customer service one last time and was told that it takes 24 to 48 hours to transfer the line. I told him it's been 6 days.
I'M DONE
