5 to 10 years ago, BP had great quality products and I shopped frequently with them. Recently I ordered a few tops on "sale" that I could have picked up at Walmart for a 1/3 of the price. They should be ashamed of themselves! Not only that, but their website is so slow that it's not worth the time or my battery life that it eats up! I'm done with this company
Final sale items, no returns. No, thanks! I've been buying from Boston Proper for 20+ years. I've never seen this. $100 for a final sale sweater, $88, $59…these aren't "deals" per se. There's a lot of sale items I'd love to buy and who knows may have kept it all, but no returns and I don't even know how it will fit? That's too risky. You can keep it all. There's other places to purchase from. People work too hard for their money to get caught up in something like that. Consider revising your policy and I'll bite again.
My husband bought me a pair of jeans for Christmas. He's an early shopper so the purchase did not fall into there return policy. I asked for a store credit because the jeans didn't fit. After several emails with their customer service reps, they still would not agree to anything. $75 down the drain.

I suspect that their sale items are failed sales. If they have many returns, they just put this item on sale and it's non-returnable, non-refundable. I bought a couple of items on sale (non-refundable) and the quality was horrible, the pattern was sewed crookedly. No one could wear them, the fabric is sewed so crookedly, it looks horrible. But you cannot return them... Just be careful... The quality is very poor for their prices.
I've been ordering from Boston Proper for a long time and have always been very happy with the quality and design of the garments I've purchased. Some are so unique and pretty - I always get a lot of compliments! I've had only one marginal experience with a "final sale" item that was damaged and, after speaking with customer service, I received a full refund. Have never had a problem with sizing or poor quality. I'm actually very surprised to see all the negative reviews! This has not been my experience at all.
Its obvious the company is no longer owned by a company that understands retail. Who would ever buy anything online with no returns or exchanges, even on Sale merchandise. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. It's one thing to have that policy when you can try it on in the store, but an online company...Kiss of death!
I'm sorry, because I would like to buy from them, and take advantage of sale pricing, but not with no recourse!
I got Claudia on the phone to help me today. She hung up on me. Her manager called me back (which was nice), until I hear her laughing and saying my official name in the background and laughing. I will never order from Boston proper again because of your customer service. Lesson learned
I buy from Boston Proper a fair amount because I like their style - a little heavy on the bling and sexy apparel. However, their prices are high for the quality of their fabric. Also, good luck trying to work with customer service on returns. You will be on hold forever. They will hang up on you at least once. They will not call you back despite promising to do so. The poor customer support staff are trying but they do not speak English well enough to provide quality customer service and are obviously poorly trained.
I have used Boston Proper for many years and never had a problem with them. Even met the president of the company once in Palm Beach. I have returned some things that I did not like and had no problem. They have great sales and one of my very favorite places to shop online. I do recommend them
I shop often at Boston Proper and have not ever been disappointed in their sizing or value for the money. Their items are so pretty! I recently accidentally ordered two of the same item and I found out, by phone, just before they were delivered. Since I spoke with an agent about my mistake, she immediately offered to send me a return slip for the extra item. Excellent service!
This company used to be fabulous. It has gone completely downhill as far as quality is concerned. Their customer service is also horrible. Be prepared to thoroughly examine your items if you do order when you get them. They have a 60 return policy but once I did not look at an item when I received it and it was completely used. Too late to return it. They are rude too. The Boston Proper physical brick and mortar stores closed because of revenue. It went back to being a catalog only company. Too bad they just didn't close all together. The prices are too high and the quality is so bad. Save your money!

If the date of your post reflects when you had this experience, I completely understand as we were transitioning away from our former owners. Bad customer service isn't acceptable and we recognize that numerous customers had pretty bad experiences, and for that I am truly sorry. It is true that we do have a 60 day return policy, but if an item is defective or used you should absolutely contact us so that we can make it right. As I was on the store team when we had stores, the information you have about why stores closed is incorrect. The Boston Proper brand was sold and stores closed as a result so that the brand could focus on the catalog business and getting the brand back to where we were in the past. Our prices, especially when we offer sales or discounts, are very competitive with our competitors. If there was a quality issue, please don't hesitate to reach out to us so that we can make it right. Thx.
I was given a $35 loyalty coupon for an order mix up on their end. Now I found out it expired 2 months ago and Im out of luck. Wow. I would like a refund next time. Oh wait! There will never be a next time!! This company has lost my business.
Be aware! The only thing this company is famous for is the outrageously high prices. Customer service, including their supervisors, is arrogant and non-existent. They would not listen to your problems and try to help you. They already closed many stores. Eventually, I hope they will go out of business, too.
I've been a beloved customer of Boston Proper for decades. Their clothes were great boutique quality and customer service was wonderful. They closed all their stores and became a mediocre "online only"selling matronly subpar clothes. I've purchased 2 items recently, a dress and a swimsuit. The company has switched to using USPS snail mail instead of UPS and both items were lost in transit. They cancelled both orders requiring me to reorder both items, pay in full AGAIN and wait to hopefully receive my refunds in 3-5 business days. I'm so disappointed in the path this company chose to take and I won't be ordering anything again. Please check out Porter Collective website if you are looking for interesting clothes.

Days with no delivery date scheduled. Called customer service 5 times with no satisfaction whatsoever. Was told the item was "travelling". Not true. Will never order from or recommend this company again!
What a waste of my money, I ordered something again because it looked so cute in the catalog. I had to learn twice. Terrible material! Horrible! Doesn't fit anything like it's shown and expensive. I don't mind spending if I get a good product but I don't know where they are getting the clothes made but I have never felt anything so cheap and scratchy. Please don't make my mistake

Stay away! Over priced for marginal quality and unbelievably awful customer service.
Returned a dress that was too small - I received an e-mail from them saying that I'd exceeded their 30 day return window and that my options were "we can either exchange your item for another size, or we will be happy to send your item back to you"
I called customer service and asked that they exchange the dress for a larger size. The rep didn't believe me when I read the email to her - she told me I owned the dress.
I forwarded the email to customer service and requested a call back to discuss. I never heard from them. I called again 2 weeks later and was told that I'd receive a refund for the dress "just allow 3-5 business days for processing". Almost 4 weeks after that my original dress in the original size showed up at my home. This type of service doesn't promote repeat business, results in loss of customers. Save yourself the aggravation, shop elsewhere!
Beware. I returned a top a month ago and still no credit has appeared on my card even after they say that they received my return. They also say that if an item goes on sale within 10 days of your purchase that they will refund the difference. I have called twice to find out why I never received the credit. Each time I was told that it didn't go through and they would issue the credit... didn't happen. Feeling very ripped off right now.
On November 13 I returned two items. The items have been in their possession for over two weeks. They refund policy is supposed to be within seven days. Today's December 5 I still have not gotten my $200 back. Order number *******. After five phone calls and numerous emails I still have not received my money. I highly advise. This product is not purchased because on your return, you will not see your money.
Was old and worn before
My fist time purchasing from Boston Proper and my last! I received my order and this item had lint and smelled as if worn before - even tag was frayed around edges. When I called customer service they only offered to send another out and return the old one back! For what - it can't be resold! And they thought that was good customer service. Too many other companies to deal with this poor business!
