The customer service is extremely rude. My item was stuck in the same location for 3 days. When this happens most of the time the item is lost. I called FedEx, the carrier they used, and they did not have a clue. I called customer service and they told me I need to wait another 11 days more to see what happened. Of course all this in a rude tone. This agent has no desire of helping me. I have the same experience with another company, Betabrand, and they took care of the issue right away. If you have an issue with your order do not expect much from them.
This is the worst experience I had with ordering online. And I did not even receive my order yet. The customer service provides you each time with a different answer. There is never a supervisor available to escalate an issue. I was told twice the the supervisor will call me back- the supervisor did not call me. Remove your payment information to avoid issues with them. Their side is set up intentionally the way that it is very easy to accidentally make an order! It will not ask yo to review and confirm.
Poor customer service! No follow through and when you send an email, it is always replied to by someone DIFFERENT who doesn't bother to read the email string to see what the original issue or if someone even tried to resolve it. I ordered a blouse in June and paid for expedited shipping. 5 days later I was notified that it shipped. Shipping confirmation had it coming in another week. I never got it. They said they would put a trace on it, but I never heard back about it. I asked to have another resent and they agreed to overnight it. But they didn't. It was sent the same snail's pace as the other and will take at least one week to arrive. If I even get it...
The style is great, the quality is good, but you NEVER want to buy anything that you might have to return! They received my returns 6 days ago and have not even initiated my refund. I am on hold with customer service who "will be a while and process my refund one item at a time. "The return facility is "too busy" to process the refunds along with the returned merchandise", she stated.
If you have a lifetime to wait for your items - go ahead and order.
Returns and exchanges! OMG! Another lifetime. You always have to be checking up on the items, because it takes SO long to get anything. Amazon has it figured out, come on BP you can do this… I will not order again. I don't care how cute the item is!
I ordered the boyfriend blazer at the end of May 2021. The end of July it finally arrives and looks as if a 5- year - old constructed the cheap looking jacket made of poor quality polyester. When I called customer service to ask if I could return it, he thought I was on hold, and I could hear him and his manager saying horrible things about me, laughing and called me an idiot for thinking I could send it back. When I announced that I could hear them, they hung up. I have never experienced anything like this. I will never shop at this store again. The poor customer service matches the diminished quality of clothing they sell.
Could not generate a return label on line to return a $90 dress that was not on sale; then called & was promised one in a few minutes. It still has not arrived. If I receive it, I will let you know. Had I read the reviews first, this company would be off my list. I am totally turned off.
I ordered from Boston Proper twice. They are extremely expensive for the quality (Made in China) and to get your money back for your return takes 3-4 weeks. I returned an item, the confirmation said they received it but it hasn't been received in their system. I called to inquire about the return and was told they haven't received it yet although I had confirmation they did. They told me to call back in a week to see if it has been processed as a return. After a week or so I called back and they said it's still in their mail facility and it's not in their system and I told them I wanted a full refund. It's not worth the aggravation to buy something from this company. Never again!
I've been Boston Proper customer 15+ years. The style is very cute and quality is ok, but if you have return ore exchange item it is night mirror. If you got defective item what's happening very often, you have to call them, they will say send it back, no Charge for shipping back. It will take about 3 weeks and they will still charge you for the shipping. You have to call back and spend time to get these money back. After all of it NO MORE Boston Proper! It don't matter how cute this clothing.
Like others, I purchased several items and returned the ones that did not work for me. The customer service representative that I spoke to was absolutely horrible. It took forever for them to allow me to speak with a supervisor. When I called back to determine the outcome of my complaint, I was placed on hold for so long that I finally hung the phone up. I will never purchase from them again. Customer service matters.
I have ordered many times and returned items I was not pleased with without a problem. Most recently I ordered $500 worth of clothing and two of the shirts (identical in 2 different colors) were very cheap looking and did not fit me well. When I had finally gone to the store to purchase a package to return the items in I had passed the 30 day return period. Never again will I order from them.
Bought 2 dresses. The fabric was cheap looking washed out. Black looked grey. Tried to return. Customer service told me that I had to pay for return and they would only credit $5 for 2 $60 dresses. I threw them away. Looked nothing like pictures.
DO NOT BUY FROM THAT COMPANY. Merchandise looks awesome on pictures and yes, it used to be a decent product. I purchased from them twice this year and OMG... The quality is absolutely horrible! When we spend $80-$115 for a garment we expect something nice, right? The merchandise I received was made out of the cheapest fabric which stretches, wrinkles and is super thin, not a travel suit fabric at all like they advertise. Believe me, you can buy the same clothes for $19.99, the same quality. Don't buy from them if you don't want to waste your time and money. Terrible quality...
Horrible waiting on mesealy 40$ refund since April called countless time asked for manger always told none available. Boston proper you lost a long time customer hope your vendors see your negative reviews and who ever is in charge needs to look at cc dept...
I spy the exact same clothing manufactured in China sold online for $10-20 on aliexpress but Boston Proper target markets rich suburban moms and steals all their money for this insanely horribly made clothing. This online shop is highway robbery. Designs dont fit correctly, horrible fabric, seams showing everywhere. If youre going to buy this kind of quality, make sure your buying at its real price. And if youre going buy items at $100-$200, go to revolve.com
My items arrived without a return label, and I was not able to open the "return" window for instructions. I received the items (which did not fit) just as the pandemic hit NY. Communication with the company was impossible. The company will not accept the return because it is beyond their "30 day rule", despite there being no feasible way of returning the items prior to the 30 days. What kind of company policy is that?
I spent quite a bit of time getting information and reading reviews about the items I was interested in before placing my order with Boston proper, but it was all for nothing; when it arrived I was surprised that not only were all the clothes made out of the cheapest of cheap materials, but the design and cuts were a joke. Sizing is all over the map, colors aren't represented accurately - just garbage, which I now have to re-pack and return (at a fee). This company apparently puts all their money into having beautiful photos taken - don't be fooled.
I love there clothes, cute and well made. The problem is delivery - 1) show fulfillment, and 2) FedEx.
FedEx service is awful. Sometime weeks, and lost packages. 7 day delivery is 10-15 days it at all. Watching their tracking it took it 4 day to go 5.1 miles.
I have requested a refund on my last order and ask to be deleted from further e-mails and catalog slolications.
Avoid this online retailer. The shipping will frustrate you!
Even though sizes aren't "True To Size" in many cases, it's worth it to shop there. Quality can be satisfying or disappointing, I've experienced both. But if you don't like what you received, you can always return it, and it doesn't take long either. Best time to shop on Boston Proper is on New Year's, that's when they have huge sales!
Use caution when purchasing from Boston Prober there customers service people are very scripted.

That is why my return is beyond the 30 window.
She didn't get it she just kept repeating her self I ask to speak to a supervisor she wouldn't let me talk to one. Now I am expected to pay the shipping and handling no sense of ownership.
No compassion, no understanding.
