I ordered a dress on a Wednesday before 2 pm to wear to my granddaughters Christening on Sunday. I paid the $20 for two day shipping, assuming I would get it Friday or Saturday the latest. The dress did not arrive to late Monday. When I asked for a refund for my expedited expenses, the rep originally insisted I did not place the order until Friday (which makes no sense for a dress I needed on Sunday). Later, a supervisor admitted I did place the order on Wednesday but the bank didn't approve the charge until Thursday morning? (I never heard of this before but I still should have gotten it by Saturday). They then told me that they do not deliver on weekends! So why did they allow me to spend $20 on 2 day shipping if they knew it wouldn't get there until 5 days later! Not only did the reps lie to me about when it was ordered but for a lousy $20, they lost a good customer. If this company is not willing to take responsibility for its' own mistakes, and not willing to give even a little to help make a regular customer happy, then I would prefer to shop elsewhere!
Placed order, received order, had to return order because items were too small. Tried the regular return route but my account showed no recent orders. Order placed and received within 10 days. I have returned the order but my online account shows no record of order or return. I have disputed the charge with Visa. I will NEVER order from Boston Proper again.
I called Boston Proper because I never was notified they got my return. They have had the clothes I returned for 7 days and I will not see the amount in my account for another 7 days. I asked for a supervisor who told me that she was sorry. That's just how long it takes because they are so busy. It's over $500 and they are keeping my money for 10 days. The clothes weren't that great either for the money. I will NEVER order from them again!
I ordered a swim suit a top and a separate bottom to match. (This is how it was sold) June 30th both items showed in stock. July 1 I received an email 1 of the 2 items had shipped. Later in the day I was emailed the top portion was not longer available. I immediately phoned customer service and asked why someone would ship just the bottom of a suit. I was told the items are sold separately (no kidding) I asked to cancel the bottom it was of no use to me without the top. She could not and that once I received the bottom I could return it. Now I have to pay for the return! Just another company (which I believe use to be good) has gone down the drain. Very angry
I ordered 4 sweaters from Boston Proper for this winter. I ordered them in August. I wore them for the first time this month. 2 of the 4 had improperly sewn seams, both noticeable while wearing them but not prior.
Because I purchsed them more than 45 days ago., Boston Proper is taking No responsibility for the shoddy merchandise. I advise you to inspect your purchases upon arrival and I also advise you to NOT purchase from Boston Proper. I will no longer be a cusomer of theirs.

Like many of the other reviewers posting on this site, I have been a Boston Proper customer for many years however that has come to an abrupt end given my recent experience with their customer service department. To sum it up in one word: UNCARING.
My take away after trying to return a poorly made item was that the Customer service department was not honorable and didn't care what happened to the customer as long as they had already made the sale and taken the money. I will no longer shop at Boston Proper and plan on sharing my story with all my girlfriends, family and blog followers. Beware my fellow shoppers, Boston Proper does not do right by the consumer.

I did not receive my item so I called for a refund or for it to be shipped to me. They sent it... finally... it did not fit. So - then they would not allow a return because it was over 45 days! Expensive clothing and now what do I do with it?!? Not my fault that I did not receive it the first time around.
This place is going out of Business. I ordered a dress and sent it back a month ago. I emailed customer service. I kept getting excuses of wht they didn't process my refund. After many emails they said I would get a check refund in about a month. I paid by credit card. Business do not do that ever. I had to call my credit card company to despite my order. I order a few times a month and have been a good customer for years. Never again! BUYERS BEWARE!
Jill G, I apologize for the confusion and frustration you have experienced. Recently, Chico's FAS sold the Boston Proper brand and decided to close stores so the brand could focus on the catalog business. As a result of the sale of the brand and the new owners, some customer data could not be transferred. Due to PCI Compliance, credit card information was not transferred to us and we cannot refund a purchase back to the credit card if the purchase was made prior to the transition. It is unfortunate, but it is for your safety that all refunds are issued via a check. I hope this helps. Thx.
Boston Proper has decent overpriced clothes. However, I went and returned two items and two months later I don't have my refund. I have written and called. No response, I don't have the tracking number so I don't get a refund regardless. They won't even look in the warehouse for my return - in the return package all the details were provided. Do not use them
I was a huge fan of Boston Proper for years. Their clothing was beautiful and elegant. Suitable for someone such as myself - in my late 40's and now fifties. The quality was excellent. Last year I noticed the clothing was getting shorter, skimpier and more revealing, and very expensive for the quality. I am very disappointed, as Boston Proper was the first place I went for new outfits, something special and different to wear. I just got the Beyond Proper catalog and laughed. I can buy the same clothes at Venus Clothing for a fraction of the cost and the same cheap quality. Shame on you Boston Proper for throwing away your 40's and up customer base of intelligent, classy, successful and beautiful women.

Our system shows that you were refunded on 5/15. Refunds can typically take up to 14 days to fully process.
I recieved their clothing and it was poor quality in fact one of the items was already falling apart in the shipping box when I opened it. I returned everything the next day. It took them over 30 days to provide me with a refund and the refund came in the form of a check, not back to my credit card. And they charged me $27 in shipping charges which I think is excessive. The customer service was unfriendly and they did not have any idea about the order. I will never buy anything from this company again and I would not recommend this company or their clothing. Such a disapointment!
For such a quality company the customer service is terrible! Terrible english and not consistent. I paid for 2 day shipping and it took almost 2 weeks to receive it. Even after I called on the 4h day when it didn't arrive and I was PROMISED it would arrive for Christmas. I received no email confirming my order with a copy of my receipt and didn't get one in my box either.

Over the years I had spent 1000s of $ without out problem and then... not sure what happened but a simple order was made so complicated for no reason. Orders were cancelled without notification or reason. When I paid for express delivery (2-3 days) it still hadnt arrived 14days later. No reason given no apology either. When you ring to talk to someone they simply give u an annoying ah ha n thats it, no we r sorry, or we will fix the problem asap. Bottom line nice clothes if u can get it delivered.

For an order that was Paid for and delivered Aug 7th. They have my account overdrawn now for the next 4 business days, hoping it will just fall off on its own and they dont think thats a problem. Customer Service. Hah.
I called last night as soon as I saw it. Spoke to Abraham employee ID 1318 who said he would call me back in two hours. I said at 2 am? He said yes.
So I waited up. NO Call. I called this morning and spoke to Ferdinand who was no help.
I transferred to Supervisor Richard Flores who just wants me to sit with an overdrawn account and hope it falls off because he cant figure it out. I wont be shopping here again anytime soon.
Reason of review: OVERDREW my Account by charging me Twice for an order that was Paid for and delivered a month ago.
Monetary Loss: $125.
Preferred solution: I want my money back PLus I would like some form of Compensation for having My account be overdrawn..
Everytime we order from BP they send an email saying track here...when you go there it says tracking information will be available later. It NEVER updates, when you call...they DO NOT help. You'd think they would have their stuff together when it comes to fulfillment...THEY DO NOT! TERRIBLE!
Do NOT order from this company. They do not issue refunds when their chosen shipper doesnt deliver or loses packages. Very bad customer service. They use Fed Ex who do not answer for misdelivered packages. Once your tracking number is claimed as 'delivered' in the IVR system you are shut out. Boston Proper does not provide customer service in this case, they just keep your money. When I initially called the 1st rep said she would issue a refund. 2 weeks later I called again to check on the refund & found that no refund was issued. They basically told me to go pound sand. It is NOT the job of the customer to locate THEIR lost packages. Nor should we have to just 'eat it'. I am OUT almost $300 & will have to do a bank charge back. Ive been shopping with them for years & never had a problem. This will be my last order with them. I am sure I am not the first customer this has happened to. Very bad business. Boston Proper has gone downhill. They should be reported to the FTC. Be smart & take your business elsewhere.
This catalogue company is a sham. They show items in spring/summer catalogue which are unavailable for over 6months. The shipping and return/restock fees are crazy and the sizing and quality of the merchandise is not consistent with how they look in the catalogue. Insanely expensive for the items too. Dont order from them, so much more to choose from out there.
Purchased a skirt for NYE, used my ShopRunner membership for 2 day shipping. Verified shipping address and the Boston Proper site defaulted to an old address (though the billing address was correct) and the item delivered to my old address-haven't lived there for 3 1/2 years!) I called BP, spoke to Jolene, who from the start was rude and not helpful. She actually blamed me for entering the wrong shipping address. Will NEVER, EVER purchase from this company again. Worked with credit card co and they rejected the charge from BP. Spread the word, do no buy from this company.
I ordered my wedding skirt and top in the beginning of April. I was promised the skirt on back order would be there in time for my wedding day on June 2nd. I received it September 23rd! I had to shop for a wedding dress the day before my wedding! They promised several times to ship it long before that, now I have it and the seams are crooked and the elastic is twisted! Don't bother with this site. They messed up 2 more orders as well!

Our website clearly states that returns can take up to 14 days to fully process - sometimes faster, sometimes not.
