The Bradford Exchange has been very honest, reputable and fair with me & and I love there merchandise! Some very unique and interesting items only to be found at the Bradford Exchange. They also have a the absolute best guarantee in the business & One year exchange or refund for any reason, how can you get better than that! The one improvement that I wish they would work on is with there Customer Service agents... some are super, and really want to help you... others act and talk like they have been woken Out of a deep Sleep when you try and ask for help. If they could improve on this just a little... you'd have a great company going to a Super company!
I got a letter in the mail stating that I was chosen for a free coin. I got really excited and I accepted the coin since on my free time I like to find coins to keep and so I went ahead and sent in the paperwork for this "free" coin. After a while of having the coin in my possession, I started to get mail coming in for other coins that stated that you needed to pay for them. I wasn't interested, so therefore I didn't send in for those ones. Shortly after this, I got a letter in the mail stating that if I did not pay for this supposedly free coin that they would send it to collections. In my defense, I honestly thought this was a mistake since the very first letter that I got said that this coin was free. So after a while of ignoring that first invoice, I got another one still threatening to send this bill to collections. So doing what anybody would do I called Bradford exchange and explained to them that I did not appreciate being threatened that something that was supposed to be free is now on almost on its way to collections, because I refuse to pay for something that was stated to be free. The lady that I talked to on the phone said that the coin was free to look at- not to have. I referred back to the very first letter that I got stating that I was chosen for a free coin and nowhere on that piece of paper did it say that it was a free to look at coin. It flat out states that this is a free coin for you to have. There is NOWHERE on the first initital letter stating that if you wanted to keep the coin, you had to pay for it. So honestly, this company is super unprofessional, and a SCAM! Do NOT accept the "free" coin. They will just screw you out of it.
I couldn't place my order online, so I was forced to call it in. Called to place order over the phone; lousy service; customer service personnel seemed annoyed or inconvenienced at having to take my order. I had to ask about shipping, total amount, or even "Aren't you going to ask for the shipping address?" This was after she told me to have a nice day. Two weeks later, I received no email notification of the order, and had to call again. Turned out the order was never placed. Had to reorder over the phone. Probably should have left well enough alone... the next day I had fraudulent activity on my card. Not saying it was them, but seems highly suspicious! No one else had just acquired access to my information.
Buyers move on from this website. It's horrible. They'll guarantee you'll get something by a date then not deliver. Then send you messages telling not to worry not to worry then drop it on you that your item won't make it until the middle of the next month. The only guarantee they should give is that they will disappoint you. RUN! RUN! From this site. Search again then again. I wouldn't tell someone I hated to order from this website. I wouldn't order from this website if it was the one and only last website on the internet! I give them ZERO STARS! People don't do this to yourself. Honestly look somewhere else for whatever you're looking to buy.
My order was "shipped" on June 24 and still not has arrived. The tracking order they have provided does not work and it seems that all I've been getting is the run around. Today is July 19th, they said my order would arrive on the 7th of JULY. Customer service is a joke... No one has answered my question yet.
Where to start, i ordered the free coin. I knew it would be part of a collection and was very very clear in the phone call that i did NOT want the collection just the free coin. I received the free coin and then another arrived. I called customer services and told them that i didnt want it and didnt ask for it. I was told i had to return it to which i said no. You sent it as a pushy sales tactic, you can come and collect it. Then they sent me another one. I called them and was told someone would call me back. They didnt.
Then i received a letter saying they have added a late payment fee. Again i called, got nowhere and emailed them to say the coins are here waiting for them. Now i receive a threatening letter demanding payment or debt collectors with even more fees.
Pushy sales, no calls returned, not very customer focused and unhelpful.

1) Shipped shrink wrapped in the Styrofoam mold. No Box as befitting an expensive collectable. It's the Styrofoam that should be inside a box.
2) Made to be powered by either an AC adapter or 2 AAA batteries. The company DOES NOT provide the adapter and the 2 AAA batteries does not provide enough power to power both the train and the sounds for a significant length of time. Lots of additional $$$ to constantly buy batteries.
3) Called Customer Service and they didn't care.
I ordered a train subscription over a year ago. The have yet to fulfill it. I have a partial train because they skipped me on the final installment. They had my credit card, and I thought they would bill and send, but they didn't. Instead they didn't bill and send me something else. I returned it. I then asked if I could get the final car for my train. They said it was back ordered. So, within a month after they skipped me it was back ordered, and it has been back ordered ever since on and off according to them. Customer service is a joke. After I was skipped I was told I would get it next month, never happened. Then 2 months went by. I was told again that it was ready to be shipped in the next installment. I never got it, and when I inquired again, they said it was back ordered. Do not waste your time or money. Go elsewhere to find what you want on the internet because Bradford is not worth the hassle.
I tried twice to pay a bill with a card and it was declined twice. They can't "see" the declined reason. They told me to check with the bank and the bank dont see a declines from them. Which brandford said it has to be and when they take the card info they claim they cant see the approval or decline right away it takes 24-48 hrs which I've never heard that before
Bradford finally got back to me and told me I needed a 12V adapter. I purchased one at the local hardware store, plugged it in and turned it on. It blew out all the LED lights. This event turned out to be a disaster. I later found out LED lights are not usually rated at 12V so the information given to me by a Bradford Tech was not correct.
Recently, I purchased a North Pole Village that uses (2) AAA batteries or an external adaptor. The item has a place where an adapter can be plugged. However, when I tried to find the adaptor on the Bradford Exchange website, it's not there. I inquired via email and was told, "the adaptor doesn't come with the product and could be found at a local hardware, etc. Now, what voltage and current should the adaptor be? In my case the item must fit under a xmas tree and simply isn't conducive to using (2) AAA batteries. I don't think Bradford Exchange should sell these items without the consumer being able to purchase the necessary adaptor from them.
I tried to order some really cute checks from them, and got allllll the way to the end of the process, when I found out that they add **$12** shipping and handling to a $13 order! They tell you they have a bunch of special pricing, get a few free, etc etc and then when you get the the very end the cost doubles because of "handling". I shut the window and didn't order... forget them.
Ordered checks. Finished checking out when a pop up appeared and said to enter email for free shipping. Entered email and the next message appeared that I had signed up for a rewards program that cost $14.99 a month. Called the phone number to cancel and they wouldn't cancel until I received e-mail. I then called to cancel my order-not doing business with a company that has no ethics. They canceled my order but could not cancel the $14.99 a month scheme. Bad behavior is never acceptable but is offensive in this environment.
I'm rather surprised by all of the negative reviews for Bradford Exchange and it was almost enough to discourage me from ordering from them. However, I saw a Facebook ad for a pendent I really wanted for my daughter. The website guaranteed delivery by Christmas, so I was concerned when I received a confirmation email with an expect delivery date between January 15th and February 1st. I emailed them immediately, and promptly received a response stating that the email always provide a 6-8 week delivery window, and once again guaranteeing delivery before Christmas. I was skeptical, but I received my order in 3 business days. The diamonds were a bit smaller than I expected, but reasonable considering the price. I am very pleased, and would order from them again. Most of the reviews here are from Americans, so I feel obligated to add that I am in Canada, and my order was shipped from the office in London, Ontario.
I would leave zero stars if I could. I called to cancel an order placed the night before because it was shipping to wrong address. Somehow when paid with paypal it changed the ship to. The rep told me the order was canceled and that I would receive an email. Never received the email stating canceled only that it had been shipped. I called again and they said I never called to cancel only to check the status. Then said I have to call back yet a third time in order to get return label to return item. Refused to give to me at that time. Implied that I lied about calling to cancel the item.
Ordered item. Bradford said need to confirm address. Did that still nothing. Called Bradford said it's in process being engraved. Called again. And Bradford said address needed to be verified which was already. Then called again and they canceled my order. Bad

The "Together For Always" Engraved Birthstone Family Ring is pretty, but not what I expected. I was sort of embarrassed to give it to my mother. The gemstones are so small you could not tell what color(if any) each stone was. Also my family did not even know the names of each of us was on it; from my Mother the Matriarch down to the Newborns(4 generations of strong women).

Make sure the size is right. Maybe the site should put something next to it for scale. The names and stones are so tiny.

Don't waste your time or money with The Bradford Exchange because I just placed an order for address labels and it is going to take fifteen days not including weekends or Holidays so it will take a month to get them since there is only one way to ship them to me. They told me they have been in business for fifty years you would thank that if they have been in business for that long they would have a joice of how fast you want your stuff and charge different shipping costs but I guess that The Bradford Exchange isn't smart enough to figure that out on there own. Just don't waste your time or money with this company that isn't very smart to have different shipping options.
I ordered my son a clock on Feb 3/22. The payment failed (why I don't know) I wouldn't have bought something without having the money 1st. Anyways they never contacted me to follow up with an alternate payment method. So a month ltr I call to find out the status. When to find out I've been waiting for nothing. So I pay them a different way. I just called to find out the status, and they tell me "it won't ship until the end of Sept 22. That is absurd! I'd give it a NEGATIVE 5 stars if I could! I ordered Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Snow globe on April 2,2019. After couple of weeks I checked to see when it is approximate time of delivery is. It Said May 14 - 24,2019. That came and went and the updated time of delivery moved to May 28. On May 29 i received a notification that I am on WAITING LIST ( however they didn't wait to charge my credit card!). Today is June 30 and the status of my delivery date says MAY 28. After paying $242.93 I regret it. Better off deal with Ebay or Amazon, they have them too, however look who the sellers are. If says BRADFORD EXCHANGE, don't get involved with them. Never Again!
I have orderd many things from Bradford years ago. I recently ordered a dream catcher from a postcard I got in the mail. No where did it say I had to buy the complete series. I started noticing they had been taking money out of my bank account without my authorization.When I call them, they told me it's because I was signed up for the complete series and they had sent me another dream catcher in the series & they automatically charge my credit card. I DID NOT authorize them to send me the whole series or take the money out of my bank account to pay for what THEY DECIDED to send me. These actions by them have caused an overdraft in my bank account. Bradford USE TO BE a pretty good company to order from but they have gone way down hill throughout the years, as we can see in their rating and reviews.

Do not pay for anything with a credit or debit card because once they have it they will continue to send you additional items and charge the card without your authorization or knowledge. Send in a check if you buy something.

The pic must have been edited to get you to try and by something but don't be fooled by the pictures - do your homework and check the reviews - this stuff is terrible. If I could give zero stars I would. After 5 phone calls, and being very blunt and to the point of almost yelling they sent me an email with a return label. I actually told the 2nd Supervisor I spoke with that I'm starting to believe that they are just flat out lying to me when they tell me they will send me an email. The Supervisor before her told me they would send it via the postal system and I told her no because I do not trust that they will and I'll end up waiting 10 days for it, for it only to not show up and that I absolutely do not understand why 4 people have told me that they would send an email and yet I have no email, email is a pretty simple and quick concept, but it took 5 people, 2 Supervisors to get it. The first Supervisor hung up on me because I was so mad at about it and telling her that their customer service was really $#*!ty and now I think the company is sketchy. Oh well I did receive the email, I guess you just got to keep calling them and yelling at them.
I purchased 2 box of plain standard single page checks for $5.99.
I did standard shipping & handling for $2.95 and tax was to be.63 cents for a grand total of $9.57. This was the amount quoted to me when I placed the order online. This was the amount am email sent to me a day later said. Imagine my surprise when they took $27.18 out of my bank account. When I called customer service they said well you ordered 7 years ago and since you ordered once in the past it costs much more. I asked why that wasn't quoted to me on the follow up email stating what they would be charging and they had no answere...but the checks have been mailed so toolate so sorry. I asked to talk to a supervisor and she said it would b a long wait...I said that is perfectly fine. After a half hour she came back and acted like she couldn't hear me and hung up. I can't give a low enough rating for this company!

I orderd on Nov. 30th and added to it on Dec. 12th. Now I've spent over 7 hours either on hold or listening to lies. No reply to emails. WORST SERVICE EVER! I don't think one person with whom I've spoken has a clue what's going on. Now it's Dec. 24th, my aunt does NOT have her gifts which were specially chosen. I would never use this company again and I will make sure I tell this story every possible place. Let's shut down the people who don't know how to run a business.
