The Bradford Exchange has been very honest, reputable and fair with me & and I love there merchandise! Some very unique and interesting items only to be found at the Bradford Exchange. They also have a the absolute best guarantee in the business & One year exchange or refund for any reason, how can you get better than that! The one improvement that I wish they would work on is with there Customer Service agents... some are super, and really want to help you... others act and talk like they have been woken Out of a deep Sleep when you try and ask for help. If they could improve on this just a little... you'd have a great company going to a Super company!
I got a letter in the mail stating that I was chosen for a free coin. I got really excited and I accepted the coin since on my free time I like to find coins to keep and so I went ahead and sent in the paperwork for this "free" coin. After a while of having the coin in my possession, I started to get mail coming in for other coins that stated that you needed to pay for them. I wasn't interested, so therefore I didn't send in for those ones. Shortly after this, I got a letter in the mail stating that if I did not pay for this supposedly free coin that they would send it to collections. In my defense, I honestly thought this was a mistake since the very first letter that I got said that this coin was free. So after a while of ignoring that first invoice, I got another one still threatening to send this bill to collections. So doing what anybody would do I called Bradford exchange and explained to them that I did not appreciate being threatened that something that was supposed to be free is now on almost on its way to collections, because I refuse to pay for something that was stated to be free. The lady that I talked to on the phone said that the coin was free to look at- not to have. I referred back to the very first letter that I got stating that I was chosen for a free coin and nowhere on that piece of paper did it say that it was a free to look at coin. It flat out states that this is a free coin for you to have. There is NOWHERE on the first initital letter stating that if you wanted to keep the coin, you had to pay for it. So honestly, this company is super unprofessional, and a SCAM! Do NOT accept the "free" coin. They will just screw you out of it.
I received my order expecting it to be quality product. The box had MADE IN CHINA stamped all over it. Not the quality I expected. I returned it.

Birthstone necklace purchased with engraved names of her 2 girls. First of all, the necklace is very small but worse than that, the engraved names CANNOT BE READ WITH A LARGE MAGNIFYING GLASS!
To give my honest opinion, I was excited to have orderd the disney shoes for a friend for christmas and they were wonderful, fit perfect, and looks great. I then had issues with another purchase with the site not disclosing certain information about the FULL purchase and then contacted them on the phone and told me the whole total was $400. I was disappointed to say the least and canceled the purchase and got a refund. My second disappointment was that I ordered an Elvis hoodie for my daughter for Christmas and was done on Nov 30th and got a notice saying it'll be here Dec 24th. They didn't process my transaction until Dec 23... and said it woud be here Jan 12th. Very disappointing. I was still willing to wait, but because I sent an email asking why they just NOW processed this transaction, I was only met with a canceled ordered that I did NOT cancel and my money refunded. So my opinion is, just to proceed with cauntion. Write all transaction numbers down and names of employees when you call. At this point, this site is a hit or miss.
I am dealing on behalf of an elderly person whom you have been sending statements without acknowledging any of her payments she has sent.
Your statements are inconclusive and never acknowledges wether you have received any of the cheques she has sent in the pre-paid and addressed envelopes.
The normal procedure is that the following statements after the first was issued should show her payment was received with her bank statement showing the payment coming out of her account. But, so far you have not done this and it seems that these cheques that has been sent have not been cleared but you have been sending the products.
If this is to lead to a final demand because you have not, or presume to have not received these cheques, then I would suggest that you to stop sending these statements and demanding that she owes you for the products.
IF THIS CONTINUES, SHE WILL HAVE NO CHOICE ON LEGAL ADVISEMENT TO SUE YOU FOR HARRASMENT AND FOR NOT BEING HONEST AND CLEAR IN YOUR DEALINGS WITH HER AND TO OTHERS!

I purchase a Mickey & Minnie Love Story Handbag for my wife in January for Valentines day and all I received was numerous excuses about the item being delayed for delivery. It never did make it to my doorstep for my wife for Valentines day. So I cancelled my order I then reordered it early March because my wife truly loved the handbag and I thought I would give them another chance I was guaranteed I woud have it in plenty of time for our Anniversary end of April and not to worry it would be here. The same sceneraro happened like it did for my 1st order for Valentines day in February. Today is our Anniversary and I was told it would be here again by today when I contacted them last week to confirm (as I knew what happened in February). They said it was expedited delivery not too worry and I paid extra for it to make sure it would be here when I ordered it again early March. Well it wasn't and I was gullible enought to take BRADFORD EXCHANGE for their word. Bradford Exchange ruined two holidays for my wife and I will never do business with them again. Terriable customer service and they did not keep their commitment to me. Frustrated and furious and you should see how my wife feels. Awful company and all you get is excuses from them!

Don't rely or believe a word they say. Buy a back up gift in case as shipping is terriable and if you are purchasing a gift for someone from them you need to order at least 3 months in advance and then hold your breath and hope it will get to you in time
Misplaced my instruction manual on how to re-set the lights on the Merry Mischief Cat Wreath which was an expensive gift item to me. NOTHING posted on utube or an online instruction pamphlet ANYWHERE on how to reset lights. It is a complicated process to begin with. I called Bradford Exchange believing they could give me a quick solution or just mail out the instruction pamphlet. First customer service rep told me to call back during the week and someone would be available to help me because she did not have that information and there was noone available on a Sat. That could help me. Called back Wed. You would have thought I had stolen the product! They would not do ANYTHING without the PERMISSION of the account holder who purchased the item! When I asked what all this entailed (so I would know what information to tell my friend they needed when they called to access "their account"), I was told they could not discuss another person's account without the account holder being present! First of all, this was a ONE TIME purchase over a year ago. I doubt my friend has any of her records for this purchase - what if my friend was dead? This is absurd! It is unimaginable that in 2023 this company does not have an instructional manual posted online or a utube video demonstration of HOW TO RESET THE LIGHTS ON THE MERRY MISCHIEF CHRISTMAS WREATH! Poor customer service all the way around. Bradford Exchange items are expensive. Don't count on getting help with a simple problem that makes your expensive gift inoperable. It's not broke, don't need an exchange or return - just need a simple question answered on how to reset lights. For all its exclusive appearance and reputation, BE is a cheap company with cheap products and does not have any knowledgeable customer service reps. Also be aware if buying anything with electronics or moving parts, they do not have technicians that can help solve any issues with electronics and NOTHING posted anywhere online to help. So... although you may be able to return it if it comes in not working, if it is a gift you are completely on your own with no customer support if problems arise - even in the near future.

I ordered a "so-called" Thomas Kinkade music box with moving train. The pic on the website was so gorgeous, I couldn't resist. The day after I ordered, I saw some really bad product reviews and tried to cancel. I was told I couldn't cancel as the order was already mailed. I corrected them by stating it was not yet mailed according to their own website. They disagreed and told me I could return it if I didn't like it.
To say I didn't like this item is a complete under-statement. It came in a styrofoam box which was ridiculous. When I opened it, I was appalled at the low quality -- my five year old nephew could have put something nicer together. I opened the lid of the box only to find out the music on the music box doesn't work, the train doesn't roll on the track and when the lid opened the piece with the train on it fell out onto the floor as it wasn't even attached to anything.
After multiple letters to these shady a-holes, I have gotten no resolution. SHADY, SHADY, SHADY COMPANY... DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. This is the biggest online scam I've seen -- WHY ARE THEY STILL IN BUSINESS ANYWAY? DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE LOOK OF THEIR WEBSITE -- THEIR STUFF SUCKS WIND.

To be honest I wouldn't even give the bradford exchange 1 star but had too in order to write the review. I ordered from them October 2020 x2 reborn dolls, one arrived in December and one was on back order. The one that I received in December was $299.94. I opened it and honestly to my disgust is was no better than something I would buy from the warehouse or kmat absolute thieves! When I saw how cheap this doll was I quickly asked for my money back and to cancel the doll on back order this was $219.94 I received this money in my account in December. I returned this doll was sent by courier and arrived in Ponsonby Auckland 14th December. When I rung them to ask where my money was they tried to tell me it hadn't been processed yet, I then ended up receiving $219.94 from them, this is $80 short from what they owe me, I have rung them so many times that I have lost count. I have been told by three of their call staff that they will return my call that same day and sadly only one of the three did this. THESE REBORN DOLLS ARE A COMPLETE RIP OFF AND HAVE CHANGED TO CHEAP CRAP. They were beautifully well made so many years ago. BRADFORD EXCHANGE JUST PLEASE HURRY UP AND PAY ME MY $80 BACK TO ME I WANT TO BE DONE WITH YOUR HORRIBLE UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY.

That if you purchase a one off item it puts you on the mailing list to keep sending out more and more expensive items. I purchased a jubilee 50p coin for 50p. That's all I wanted. They then sent another coin for £45 and expect payment! They also take forever to answer the phone to contact them. it took me 30 mins on hold to actually speak to someone.
Despite using their "contact me" email to address my dispute, they have yet to reply weeks later.
I went to check on my order they said I should receive it by October 21 I ordered it in MAY, WHO EVER HEARD OF SUCH A LARGE WINDOW!
I placed a order for Mothers Day and it was promised to be there by Mothers Day, Little did I know that it takes 24-48 hours for them to run your credit card (Boy would that have been nice to know before ordering HINT HINT) so since they take there good old lazy time to run the card, that made me miss the cut off date to have it here for Mothers Day, instead of it being here within a week they are telling me well sorry but it will not be there for at least three to four weeks from know which makes it about two or three weeks past Mothers Day now. All they want is your money they could care less about the customer and getting your ordered shipped out in time for the Holiday or the special occasion! Do you think they would have told me while I was talking to them that it takes two days to approve your card and since it takes two days that you will not receive your ring in time for Mothers Day? Of course they wont because all they care about is getting there money and not helping out the customer. I have been working in Sales for twelve years now and this is by far the worst treatment or experience that I have ever had trying to spend my hard earned money. I will never ever again even think about ordering from these rip offs again they do not care about any one of there customers all they care about is getting there money and not fully explaining to the consumer that o yea you will not get what you are ordering in time for the holiday! Of course they will not do that because they could care less about you. If I can give anyone advice that is going to order from these guys, stay away as far as you can and please do me a favor and yourself a favor and spend your money any where else other than the Bradford Exchange. This was the worst experience that I have ever had while trying to purchase something over the internet and while on the phone! Then I called and spoke to management and they pretty much laughed at me and said well there is nothing I can do? Please save your Money and buy elsewhere, save your self the headache and save yourself the trouble of getting horrible Customer Experience!

Ordered this watch in early June of this year. It was listed as "Guaranteed" to be here by Father's day. His father worked for the Canadian Pacific Railroad for 40 years, and I thought this watch would be the perfect gift. I'll number off the constant mishaps and errors from here.
1. Watch arrived a week after Father's Day despite being "Guaranteed" to arrive before.
2. The watch had been damaged. In fact, it looked like it had been taken out of the box and worn previously. Part of the watch face had come away and jammed under the second hand, rendering the watch inoperable. Various scratches on the watch. I surmise it was a return that was sent back out in error.
3. Used the enclosed return label and mailed the package back to BE. They do not pay for a tracking number on the return postage, so there is no way to track the return your package. Had I have known this I would have paid extra so i could watch it's return.
4. Call attempt #1: On hold for three hours with horrible muzac blaring in my ear. Gave up.
5. Call attempt #2: On hold for an hour and a half before someone picked up, said "Hello?" and immediately hung up.
6. Call attempt #3: After 55 minutes, someone finally answered. After a week and a half, the watch had not shown up. The customer service rep told me that I would have to wait for the watch to arrive at their depot before a refund could be processed.
7. Over the next month I called seven times, was able to get through two of those times, and was told each time that the watch had still not showed up at their depot warehouse. I pause here to add that the warehouse in question is here in the city that I live in.
8. After a month and a half, Bradford Exchange took another payment off my credit card. Waited another hour on hold before I spoke to an extremely rude customer rep who argued with me about the extra charge, before finally admitting it had been an error. Still could not issue a refund on the original payment because the watch still had not shown up. I demanded to speak to someone in a higher authority. She said she would put me on hold, then hung up on me.
9. After waiting 2 hours and 11 minutes, was able to get through today. Watch still has not arrived at warehouse. Cannot track the package because the tracking number provided on the shipping label was not paid for by BE. Only the basic shipping was covered.
At the 2 month mark, they agreed to refund my money. At this point I will have to wait and see if it happens or not.
DO NOT do business with this company. Once they have your money, it is next to impossible to get it refunded, or even have any action taken on it at all. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. You'll be happier in the long run.
I ordered a bracelet back in august via the website. Didn't use my account with them, hadn't used it in years and I no longer had access to the email associated with said account. Item never arrived after nearly 14 days, contacted Bradford ex. UK to be informed that payment hadn't gone through and I was to contact them. Did this, set up payment plan and paid first instalment. Tracking stated bracelet had been delivered and signed for... although I had received nothing.
Contacted them and they informed me it had been sent to my old address through my account that I hadn't logged onto! They said they were sorry it would appear when I contacted them the advisor link purchase to my account which had an old postal address they said that they would dispatch another one, after putting the phone down I went to my old address as the bracelet was a 60th birthday gift for my mother, it was already 2 weeks late and I wanted to ensure I had given it to her before her birthday trip to Graceland. Retrieved bracelet and contacted Bradford ex. As soon as I got home.
They Informed me that they had already dispatched another one and it could not be stopped, less than 2 hours after original phone call. Returned second bracelet as soon as it arrived as I already had the first bracelet. Since august this company has sent me letter informing me of late payments. Every month I have spoken to their customer service and basically been told 'aaaah we see the problem, it's an over sight don't worry it's sorted' Well no it isn't sorted, now I am getting threatening messages that they will take court action if I don't pay.
Bearing in mind I set up a payment plan and they have already taken money from my account. Getting this resolved is impossible, you can't currently get through on their phone lines so I cant even speak to a person. Managed to speak to someone via facebook to be told I need to set up a payment plan for the bracelet and I now have added charges due to outstanding late payments. I am appalled by this whole situation, not once have they acknowledged this mistake, never in my entire life have I had an experience like this the whole situation has been extremely stressful as I am now being threatened with bailiffs.
I would pay the balance in full just so I never have to deal or think about this company again ever. But I refuse to pay charges for a mistake I feel was made my them. They are requesting l set up a payment plan for the second bracelet I sent back, I had a payment plan for the original bracelet I kept. Never will I use this company again.
Ordered over 2 years ago and I still don't have item - now delayed til 8/7/19. Awful customer serv.
