The Bradford Exchange has been very honest, reputable and fair with me & and I love there merchandise! Some very unique and interesting items only to be found at the Bradford Exchange. They also have a the absolute best guarantee in the business & One year exchange or refund for any reason, how can you get better than that! The one improvement that I wish they would work on is with there Customer Service agents... some are super, and really want to help you... others act and talk like they have been woken Out of a deep Sleep when you try and ask for help. If they could improve on this just a little... you'd have a great company going to a Super company!
I got a letter in the mail stating that I was chosen for a free coin. I got really excited and I accepted the coin since on my free time I like to find coins to keep and so I went ahead and sent in the paperwork for this "free" coin. After a while of having the coin in my possession, I started to get mail coming in for other coins that stated that you needed to pay for them. I wasn't interested, so therefore I didn't send in for those ones. Shortly after this, I got a letter in the mail stating that if I did not pay for this supposedly free coin that they would send it to collections. In my defense, I honestly thought this was a mistake since the very first letter that I got said that this coin was free. So after a while of ignoring that first invoice, I got another one still threatening to send this bill to collections. So doing what anybody would do I called Bradford exchange and explained to them that I did not appreciate being threatened that something that was supposed to be free is now on almost on its way to collections, because I refuse to pay for something that was stated to be free. The lady that I talked to on the phone said that the coin was free to look at- not to have. I referred back to the very first letter that I got stating that I was chosen for a free coin and nowhere on that piece of paper did it say that it was a free to look at coin. It flat out states that this is a free coin for you to have. There is NOWHERE on the first initital letter stating that if you wanted to keep the coin, you had to pay for it. So honestly, this company is super unprofessional, and a SCAM! Do NOT accept the "free" coin. They will just screw you out of it.
I ordered a special pendant for my wife.
It arrived well packaged and came within a week.
My wife was very touched by the gift as it is something for her to keep when I am no longer here. I have terminal cancer and wanted her to know I will be watching over her.
I have since ordered bracelets for my two daughters from the same range, When Angels are near, I know they will be as touched by the gifts but also thrilled. So thank you Bradford Exchange for helping me leave something special.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service! Returned an item due to their awful gimmick on a "subscription" for a product I thought I would get the entire profit at once for a gift. Will not answer emails or phone calls. Still waiting for a refund for something that was returned 20 days ago and they have received. Garbage company do not get sucked into their scams! Do not even deserve a single star rating but I have to put something down.
The due date for my wife's gift's has come and gone. We have received a letter of regret advising me after 2 months of waiting that now my wife's gift is now on back order. I should have known. Calling tomorrow to attempt to get a refund. Buyer beware..
I bought a used zippo lighter from them they advertised it as super rare for $110. This was years ago when i was just getting started collecting zippo's. I naively trusted them and bought it. Now i decided to sell it its not worth anything the most i can get for it is $20 they Lie
I love the Bradford exchange, I invested a lot of money into the online store for nightmare before Christmas. The only down side is the calling center and tracking and shipping not very detailed at all, especially for how expensive the items are. I wish they would improve on those 2 things.
Where there is smoke there's fire. This company has too many negative reviews and everyone can't be lying. I know that sites won't necessarily be filled with 100% rave reviews but there are too many red flags for me. I'd be a damn fool to waste time and money ordering from this company. I wanted to get my mom a personalized ring and bracelet with me and my siblings name and birth stones on items. The pictures on the site are beautiful but after reading these reviews I will be taking my money elsewhere. I'm big on reading reviews and it seems that these reviews show that this company's ethics and customer service procedures are lacking. Thank you all for sharing your reviews. You have saved me some future disappointment, frustration and money. Which I work too hard for to lose to sham of a company.
They will continue to charge your card without authorization even if you call to cancel any future charges. I purchased one gift for my mother for christmas and have now been charged 3 times in about 9 months. I have called multiple times to have this taken care of but it never does. I had to put a block on my card through my bank for this company so i won't be charged any more.
Do not purchase from them or you will continue to be charged.
I bought 1 item from the bradford for a Christmas gift, 2 months later they started charging my account $97.88 every 17 days. None of these transactions were authorized. I spoke with somebody on the phone stating that they would credit the charges back to my account. A month later, no money was credited back, and 2 more charges were made, so I had to go through my bank to get the charges to stop. No subscription, just a 1 time purchase. I will never purchase anything from the bradford exchange again.

I ordered a personalized gift for my wife's birthday in early to mid April. The delivery was supposed to be Mid May. No gift. No notification. To find out more info, I tried calling. Forty five( timed) minutes listening to music, never a human, hung up. In order to find out status on line, I had to open an account. Wrote a critical review, and finally heard from these people. At that time, I learned that the new delivery date was 6-27. It's now 6-27. No word, no wife's birthday present. I went online to my "account", and learned today (no notification by email or otherwise) that my wife can expect her birthday present in another 6 weeks... on August 8., more than 3 months after her birthday, almost 4 months after my order.
I ordered in October. There was no sign of my order for a week when it showed up on my credit card as pending. A week after that I finally found it online - the order number had changed. When it finally arrived, it was not as advertised. I contacted them to return it and be refunded. After some back and forth, they sent a return label. I returned it. They said it would take 32 - 33 days before my account would be credited. After that amount of time, I contacted them another couple of times, but got no response. Finally after I entered a dispute with my credit card company, they told me that they never received it (yeah, right!), but would refund my money anyway. I will never order from them again!
I purchased a supposed uncirculated first coloured $2 coin. At the cost of $649. I believed it to be a "c" mint coin and that it had been graded. Really - I received a uncirculated $2 coin no certificate of grading no c mint. The most I could get for the coin is well and truly under $100. As an investment what a rip off. Yes it was in plastic case, a cheap jewellery box. Still does not add value have been advised by experienced collectors to stay away.
What type of company is this, I have had so many problems since October and now they are threatening me with affecting my credit rating. I do not owe the Bradford Exchange any money at all but if I don't get some answers in the next couple of days. I am going to trading standards and a solicitor. They are the worst company in the U. K I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
The site is riddled with false advertising, the products are of garbage quality and it is impossible to reach them. This is fraud, avoid completely! They're one of those sites that prey on old people that don't know any better.
The Bradford exchange offers free promotion items and then sends invoices. This company is a low level scam trader with terrible customer service.
I have contacted the consumer affairs and found many complaints about this company, which is no surprise.
I have been a customer for over 20 years & have always been extremely satisfied with my many orders. It's extremely easy to order, to cancel a subscription & to return items & they're very good at returning correspondence pertaining to questions about your order. Just received my daughter's Disney Villains Cuckoo Clock & it is so fantastic. Bradford Exchange is one of my family's favorite companies.
This past Christmas I ordered a special Wizard of Oz item, this item was to arrive after Christmas but before February. Now I get a postcard stating it won't be arriving until the end of May. This happened to me a couple years ago also and I never received the item. They advertise so much but don't follow through with the product. I stayed away for awhile after the first time, but once again, saw something I really wanted, only to be disappointed once again. I have asked to be removed from any mailings from this company. I am over it!
Tip for consumers:
Don't count on getting your item any time soon after it is ordered!!
I purchased a Christmas gift for a family member and had it shipped to them. The package arrived in its original manufacturer container with a certificate of authenticity and description of item attached to the container. The package was then wrapped in clear plastic and shipped. It was obvious to my family member what was inside thus ruining her Christmas surprise. After contacting the Bradford Exchange it was felt the accepted no responsibility for how it was shipped and the advised me if I didn't like it, I could return the Item. Buyers beware when using this company.
Bought a beautiful Kincaid tree just before Christmas in 2018. Only used during Christmas, mostly in the evening. When we started to insert batteries we noticed that something hot inside the tree had melted a hole in the casing. I called and they graciously offered to sell me another tree. Otherwise, "sorry we can't help you. Warranty has expired."
They claim they sent my wife a coin. Never received, so not paid for. They started sending increasingly alarming and escalating price demand letters, leading to threatened Debt Collection Agency. No contact with them by phone, and no answer by e-mail. What a con, in my view!
When you pay with a credit card for your order, Bradford automatically signs you up for the subscription for that item, and they do not give you an opt-out option. I emailed them to cancel the subscription over two weeks ago, and I have not received a reply. They charged my visa for something I didn't even order. They do not have a 0800 number which means it will be a toll call for people who live outside of Auckland. I hang up after waiting for over 20 minutes listening to their promotional advert on a loop. I have emailed them, called them and sent them a message of their facebook page, still no response! They have the worse customer service I have come across! I will never buy from the again, it's feels almost like a scam. Buyer beware!
Tip for consumers:
Do not buy with credit card, they will charge you for something you didn't buy because they already have your details! Knowing what I know now, I would have never look at their website!

Brought a few items, not all were delivered but being charged for something I DID NOT ORDER on my credit card!
FRAUD. I have sent back all items, received no refund still and no communication 5 months later. They have now sent me to a collection agency for a small amount of money, even though they have my credit card on file and it works. The refund they owe me would cover the issue as well. This company tries to trap you and take advantage of you. Stay away.
I'm a precious metals investor and I discovered many ridiculously cheap PROOF morgans, peace, and silver halves. The funny thing is, before we even get started on the collector's value, that $#*! is like 85% below melt value. That stuff is clearly counterfeit.
I ordered checks online and was charged for extra things I was not aware of until I already ordered the checks. They will not cancel your order they said they are unable to heal. I emailed the company three times with no response. It took me three Days to get a hold of a human being in customer service. They were no help at all. I have to pay extra 16.65 for these checks. I have never paid this much for checks. I've been ripped off!
I have called this company 3 separate times to cancel the same subscription and I'm still being charged for it. I've also been being charged over $14 dollars a month for the past 6 months for the bradford exchange rewards program and I've never signed up for that program.

It's not hard to compare invoices and see that I was over charged. I'm getting no where with this company. Just give me my money back that I was over charged! I will not be ordering from them again. Very disappointed.
