I see a lot of folks giving Buya a bad rap, but they are blaming the platform for the merchants using it. I have never had a bad experience on Buya, but then I have paid attention to who I am buying from. Make sure that the seller has mostly positive feedback, a good return policy, and ask questions prior to purchase. Asking the seller a question can show you what kind of customer service experience you might have.
I don't like a site that doesn't let you browse things without shoving a "sign up now" message in my face. You literally can't look at this site without signing up. Second, don't buy from the store FAST & EASY PAWN. They list items up for sale, saying available for shipping, but when I placed my order for a microwave they had the order was cancelled the next day claiming "cannot ship." Should have thought of that before listing it up with a shipping fee. Now the listing is back up with new text reading "in store only." Waste of my time.
Site has NO customer service, seller does not answer proviced phone number. Sorting this one out with credit card company.
Unfortunately I cant give it a zero rate! I bought a reciprocating saw from a store, it was supposed to be shipped within 3 days. After 5 days there was no indication of shipping. I called the store, they said they dont have the item anymore! I asked for refund, he claimed that they never received the money yet as they didnt ship, which made sense to me, telling me to contact the so called "customer service" of Buya, one named Michael said that Buya doesnt interfere in the deal and doesnt have my money. When I built up pressures on him he said agreed to refund the money and that I should give them 10 working days to receive it. AND THAT WAS MY MISTAKE, because at then I could have called my bank to retrieve the money back raising a fraud claim, but I didnt! After 12 working days I called them again, the same "Michael" replied but denied that he promised of any refund and that I should call the store again, of course what did I expect? He just needed time to pass so I wouldnt be able to retrieve the money.
