I will never open up a Capital One Credit Card again. I called the customer service number to help with an interest charge on my statement and the representative refused to reverse the charge. I have been a Capital One customer for over three years and you best believe I will never use them for any service again. We are in the middle of a global pandemic where most companies are graciously offering to help customers in anyway possible. I am completely shocked at the way I was mistreated on the phone. The representative also said your feedback will not be heard. I hope someone from Capital one reviews this feedback. This should be unacceptable during a time like this.
They don't charge you if you never add money to your account. I always get early direct deposit and they said bc of Holliday (New Years) I won't get it til maybe Monday! That's almost a whole extra week and not even the accurate date bc they don't know. My coworkers got theirs but of course not this bank. The representatives talk over you and when they hear any back round noise they say" your call is being recorded" like damn my son is asking me a question! Then the representative said I answered your questions anything else? Like no you didn't answer my questions. Also I ordered a new debit card about a few weeks ago and I didn't cancel it just wanted a new one and they cancel my account til I receive my new one. They did it twice this month where I basically have no way to use my money. Christmas draining my account and relying on my pay day and now they don't know when I will get paid. Thanks for absolutely nothing and being inconsiderate
The workers are not $#*!ing helpful and the manager rushed me off the the phone I did a 99 dollar deposit to start my credit card and they said the card was sent out on the 22nd of $#*!ing April here it is may 6th and still no $#*!ing card! If you plan on starting your credit do not pick this establishment they need to be shut tf down.
I can't believe I wasted so much time for a credit card that I had for years. It as been nothing but making copies and faxing. The time on the phone alone was three weeks of talking to people that don't even speak English. They mumble and can't understand a thing. I don't even know why they restricted my credit card. They just keep saying it's blurry. I can not go to the Motor vehicles for having it taken again. They are impossible. My ID was the same all my life. I can not figure it out.
For some reason Capital One stopped my online transaction. They emailed me saying potential fraud and payment was stopped. I clicked yes for being me and no fraud. However they still stopped the payment. This was a hard to get Christmas gift from a major retail store for under $60. I now have lost out on it. What is the point of the email if I even answer yes it's a safe transaction if your still stopping it? Unbelievable.
Just had to call in to have my card fixed called 6 times got hung up 6 out of 6 times and during one of the calls with a manager she called me mentally incompetent and insane and hung up the phone after I've been waiting for my money to hit my account never going to recommend this awful bank who has customer service willing to belittle and bully they're customers
I am closing my account asap. Because there is no physical location you will make deposits via your cellphone which is fine except they don't release your deposits for at least 24 hours. So - if it's Friday, like today, and your broke, but have a large check to deposit you will be broke until after the weekend. I called to cancel the deposit like 5 minutes after I made it so I could cash it another way and they said it's 'too late' - I called 5 minutes later? How is it too late? I spoke to a mgr who was not helpful at all. Do not use this bank - go to one with a physical location near you. You will spend tons paying at atms too.

I have a capital one Walmart card the problem I'm having is when I go to pay my bill online it ask to send me a text message or call me but it has my old phone number on file. I have called capital one many times and gave them my new number by the way this is a long process they ask you a lot of questions to make sure it's you. It works for two or three times then it goes back to the same thing asking to send you a code but my old phone number is still popping up when I have change it to my new number many times. I don't want to use this card anymore. Capital one/Walmart need to fix this problem how can you pay your bill if you can't login to your account.
Capital one sucks. Once they have your money, you can not use it for at least 4-5 days, even though it shows as being deposited! They need to collect that little bit of interest for themselfs instead of letting the customer do things with their own money!
Capital one will take your money and not give you credit like they should, even if the bank confirmed the payment. Hold on credit for paying my bill randomly. Previously with another account I had a hit on my credit for their system being inaccurate and saying I paid late on every payment even though they were made promptly.
I've been disputing a charge for an item I received damaged from the merchant. The merchant refused to communicate to refund the purchase and Capital One refuses to investigate the dispute. Capital One has by far the worst service agents. Read their Google reviews. They are a terrible bank to work with and honor none of the protection services they contract to their card. I will never use my Capital One card again after being a customer for over a decade.
Worst credit card experience ever! Customer service is not helpful. I sent a payment of $9,436.01 20 days BEFORE DUE date and they put my card on hold for 1 week, I called their customer service and I was advise to send a bill pay to accelerate payment process, so I did! (I wanted to use my card for a big purchase and take advantage of the sky miles) I sent and additional $10,000 and even though the money cleared my bank they didn't release my account! They actually told me that the additional $10,000 will be on hold for another week. Why I'm getting punished for paying my card? Because they don't like customers like me who pay on time and in full, they want you in debt and broke.
Customer service was rude and conceited. I have the right to be upset when you are sitting on almost $20,000 taken from my bank account and freezing my credit card.
I regret opening and account with Capital One so much!
I've been with this credit card company since January of last year. Here it is going on another year and on time payments never missed a payment! I mean and always pay a week before my due date. Still no credit increase. They are a waste of time

Many should know that banks are desperate to open credit cards for them to enrich themselves, they promise low interest rates that you will never see, they even open credit cards without your consent to see if you fall into temptation and get into debt, and when you call and you ask for a Manager to claim, and after 20 minutes of waiting, one with the name of Marcy answers you, who puts you on mute and leaves you talking to yourself and wants to ask you for all your information.
Do not allow Banks like these to use your money in their favor.
As a new Capital One Card customer, I logged onto my account to pay my credit card bill on the due date. When I tried to put a debit card on file to pay my bill, it would not let me. I kept getting a message on the screen saying, "Something went wrong and we are trying to fix it. Try back in a little bit." After several more attempts to enter my debit card, I ran into the same problem.
I then contacted customer service for assistance and explained my situation to them. The customer service agent told me that they couldn't figure out why the system was not letting me place a debit card on file to pay my bill. The agent in so many words said that I must be entering something wrong.
By this time I was aggravated and just wanted to get my bill paid, so I just paid it over the phone with my debit card. What good does it do to have an online account set up if it won't let you pay your bill online.
Capitol One sucks. They close accounts without telling you. They send out your funds in the form of a cashiers check using the regular mail without letting you know to look out for it. They transfer you from one customer service agent to another without explaining anything so you have to start all. Over. They truly don't care about their customers.
I've had a Capital One quick silver card with a mere $1000 limit for about 10 years. It has an $39 annual fee. I've always paid on time and never charged more that 30% and never missed a payment. Credit scores are in the mid 700's. Have asked for CLI but always declined for very bogus reasons. Asked them to waive the fee to which they replied no. Have over $90k total credit limit spread out amongst other cards. So today is the day I told this garbage company to go pound sand. STAY AWAY from this garbage bank!
I pay my bill as soon as a charge shows up. My cards stay at zero or below. They still charge me interest… All lies. Don't make the mistake I did. Get a real credit card. Customer service is horrible also. Been with them for 14yrs. Nothing but issues….
Do not give your money to this useless bank thay wont help you at all and it seems that they always are busy doing something else instead of helping you. I just close my account with them and how nasty this bank is. Zero stars...
I deposited my check last night at 838 pm EST but these jerks said I deposited it after 9 pm est. Funny thing is that my check cleared today AND I have the email from capital one that says I can destroy the check! Funnily enough, they have also moved it over to my current balance (remember it is cleared according to them! I get these emails weekly and I always have availability to my money when I get this email…. Not today though) but are holding it and over the course of two conversations with two different representatives I was given three different reasons! There's plenty of banks out there, I think it's time for me to find a better bank! Keep in mind, this is a weekly payroll check as well! They're just being scumbags!
