Capital One Spark are the worst liners. I paid my bill in full for several months. I hit a slow spot called and they said pay 2.99 % of the owed amount and you will be in good standing. I did that and they reported a corporate account late to all three credit bureaus. It sauced us to be declined on a home purchase. Any one here have a similar experience. We are looking to file a class action lawsuit against them for damages.

Capital One recently took over two of my reward credit cards from other providers and messed up one account so bad (and refused to do anything about it) that I ended up cancelling both cards. I am recommending to everyone I know that they should cancel the Capital One cards in favor of any other card out there. Capital One is the worst.
I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. I call complaining about what seems like a scam and that you are taking money from people not making them aware they are accruing daily interest until they make 2 consecutive full payments. Which to me sounds like an absolute scam and is not okay. And your customer service rep has the nastiest attitude with me and gives me absolutely zero help. I end up canceling because your rep was so rude. Then after I cancel my card you continue charging me my auto-payment of $60 when my balance is $0. So my card is at -$60 but there is no account to be had. So I call once again and I can only be issued a check, you can't somehow replace the money back into the bank account you stole from. But it doesn't end, then the check is mailed to the incorrect address after your customer service rep updated my address in your system to the correct mailing address. What can I say worst credit card company ever.
CapitalOne has zero customer svc. Hiding behind web sites and automated bots. Not returning calls. Extremely frustrating.
Just wanted to send a friendly review about my experience with capital one service. I suspected a couple fraud charges on my statement and contacted them on the issue and they were fantastic to deal with! Very much appreciated the excellent service they provided me and love dealing with the great staff I dealt with!
I had to delete a checking account because it was hacked.
After being informed of a payment error, I resolved it within 2 days. That was not good enough for them!
After 10+ years, they couldn't waive the 40 dollar fee.

I had a purchase return of $2,700 credited to my account 2 weeks before the payment due date. They refused to deduct the credit from my payment and told me I would have to wait until the next billing cycle. This is illegal according to consumer banking regulations.
This Banking Company is horrible they denied a fraudulent charge on my checking account that I did not make and googling the charge on my account states that it was a fraudulent company. When I asked why they denied it and also what the company's response was about what kind of service or product I supposedly bought they would not give me an answer they also said that I could not appeal the decision and it was final and they were very rude. Oh, they said the main reason it was denied was that the company had my email address and phone number well if they have my whole debit card number how easy is it to get all of that information...that is a ridiculous reason to deny a fraudulent dispute. I will be closing all my accounts with them. The fraudulent company besides Capital One is STATACORPPTE COM
They just told me that they will not take a payment off my debit card. They say they don't take debit cards for payment and won't tell me why. They have over 50,000 employees and use an answering service to screen their calls. The service told me that they don't have a direct number for anyone working their. Only customer no service.
I purchased airline tickets using CapitolOne. Two charges for the same purchase appeared on my statement. I was unable to contact the airline so I turned to CapitolOne. They asked for information on both purchases and I told them I had none on the duplicate purchase but a conformation on the flight I had booked. CapitolOne then sent a form to be filled out which I answered completely to the best of my knowledge. Almost immediately CapitolOne issued a reply letter stating I did not provide the information wanted They were no help resolving a costly financial issue.
Capital One customer service is fine after you demand an English speaking American. Took me 3 phone calls to get an issue resolved. The first to calls were handled by Colombian based agents that are extremely difficult to understand. They do not seem to have any common sense. 1st failed attempt was 30 minutes on the phone. 2nd failed attempt was an hour on the phone. 3rd Attempt I demanded an english speaking American, problem resolved in 10 minutes.

Open online savings 365 account, but could not open CD account after ssveral phone calls to customers service and was asked wait and try again there is ot problem, but still could not open, there system seem to have some problem and customer service did not help to solve it. I will end up closing my savings account soon.
I have never experienced such horrible customer service in my life. I spoke with Gina, Employee, MX0293 as a so-called manager, and all she could do was speak over me, interrupt me, and not listen to anything that I had to say in regards to my dispute, which was closed, because they considered me to not have sufficient documentation, when I was told to send over everything that I could in regards to the process when I did that, they still closed my case and sided with the merchant I supplied a written document from the Postal Service stating that my items were damaged by the Postal Service, and they still close my case I provided pictures of when it was delivered completely opened damaged and destroyed, and they still closed my case without refunding my money. If you are thinking about opening an account with Capital One, save your time and your money because they do not fight for their customers they side with the merchant and that is not the kind of bank I want.
Do not get a credit card with capitalone. They charge you huge fees and support is unhelpful in removing illegitimate fees. I cancelled my card after getting tired of the huge fees.
Had a Capital One credit card set up with Walmart Pay which I used for over a year. Month or so I went to use it and it wouldn't go through the register—declined! So I called to see what the problem was. Get this Capital One CHANGED it from regular credit card to Master Card with a NEW number. I didn't ASK for that. Woman told me to discard that card and they would send new one. Okay. Used new card a couple times. Go to use it Tuesday. Declined. WTF. Got a "friendly reminder" email my account was overdue! Called Capital One. Evidently there's a different address to send payment for the original card and my payment was rejected--new account overdue.
What a mess! So I paid it off and am not using Capital One card. Man said because of change from one card to the other (which I didn't ask for) they're not reporting it. I told him I'm done with Capital One. He said if I close account they have to report it, just don't use the card!
I've had more issues with Capital One than with other credit card providers. Also their Customer Service reps are overseas and it's necessary to ask them to repeat what they say. DO NOT have any dealings with Capital One! They are horrible.
Obtained 1 late fee in the past 5 years even though I paid my bill on the 20th at 7:47pm ARIZONA TIME and the due date was the 20th...Capital one wants to tell me about how they operate and why, after being a customer for over 10 years and not a single late payment in at least 5 years, they cant waive 1 late fee. I was supposed to know that the 20th ends when East Coast time says its the 21st not my time.They never work with you when your in need, or increase ur credit line when u ask (even with a 710 credit score and being their customer for 8 years). Sole concerns of CapitalOne...money and fees. Go to DISCOVER where your interest will be better, late fees are less, and they will look at you as a customer to determine whether or not 1 late fee in 5 years AND NOT EVEN LATE TECHNICALLY...could be waived. Mind you...all situations differ...this is an accurate reflection of events. $#*!ty Capital One. I have been a very good customer...the money you have made off me...what should be a VALUED customer...and you want to just tell me how not to be late next time...AGAIN...DUE 20th...PAID 20th...AND I have an additional, PAY IN FULL, payment set up for 4 days from the 20th at that.
After being an excellent customer for several years, I gave up. No one there seemed to care. The credit card fraud department is a joke. I sent them ALL of their required docs and STILL could not get a solution to my dilemma.
They deserve negative stars I see why there is no monthly fee and no overdraft fee that's to reel you in because they will play with you money I would rather pay a monthly fee and actually get real service I disputed a transaction and they didn't even try to contact me after they said they would if they needed anything further and sided with the scamming company until I called back and refused to pay and told them I had documentation if they would have just asked for it now I'm bank account in overdrawn and I can't use it and all the can say because they reopened the case is we still have to review the documents after almost a week of having them so we can't do anything like super unprofessional I been with them for almost 5 years and even have a credit card but I'm done it's really stupid and unprofessional and you can't just be playing with people money & time and we talking $300 it's a lot for them to be asking to basically just give some company for nothing I have a baby on the way and I have large bills never again they know how hard it is out here right now and they know these little LLC's be scamming people but they don't care because it's not their money
Cannot solve any problems over the phone or update details. Despite giving my correct name & postcode the guy insists it does not exist. Instead of taking g my card number into he wants to go about it in an awkward round about way, this is the 3rd time an issue has not been resolved
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
