They have the worst customer service ever! The automated guy in beginning of call sucks! Can't hear anything or do anything! Then after 10+ mins they get a phillipino girl who speaks horrible English! And they easily confused
First of all this is bye far one of the worst companies to do business with please i repeat please do not go thru with any of there crap I'm closing all my capital cards and loan they definitely cant have my business any longer. They give you the run around like no one can help you and I'm just tired of hearing I'm sorry when they just don't even care so yea $#*! you capital one

Customer Support can't tell me anything but I had insufficient funds.
But my exact response was why would I try to make payments if I have insufficient funds and couldn't afford them. It's a literal nightmare and lie the app says one thing customer service says another robot on phone before agent picks up says payment was processed and don't have anything due pleases go anywhere else
They lie cheat n don't speak English very well…they will hang up on you when you ask a question. When asking their name and operator number they ask why are you asking for that…because I want to know who I'm talking to …they refused to give their information and talk over you then you ask again their information…again they suck big ones and are a headache…find another cc company so you can eliminate a headache
For some reason when I deposited a check they are holding it an extra day then usual. When I called customer service, they tried telling me that it has never been released a day earlier when I have my bills set for my my check should be released and now going to pay late fees because they won't release my check to me. My job doesn't have direct deposit so hence the checks. Awful customer service.
Paid my full balance 3 weeks before it was due to allow me to leverage my credit with them, one week later and the payment still hadn't posted. In the meantime, the card was declined several times (embarrassingly) as I had assumed given they took the money out of my checking account immediately that they would credit the payment and apply it to available credit. But, NOPE... according to them, it takes "as long as it takes" for the payment to post (even though the email confirmation said payments post within 1-2 days, which is still longer than most credit cards where payments post immediately). When I inquired further, they said it's "random" when the payment posts. What kinds of scam are these guys running? They've had my money for over a week, but "randomly" decided when to post it. Stay away! There are far too many legit options out there to settle for this BS.
My husband and I had a terrible experience with capital one travel recently for our flight for our Wedding. We both booked Business class tickets and paid the same fare however Capital One put my husband on an economy leg on the way back despite booking Business Class and paying the same fare.
We contacted Capital One Travel and the supervisor Darwin was unempathatic towards the fact that they put my husband in economy despite charging us a business class fare. We were on the phone with him for an hour and not once did he show any compassion or try to help us. We asked multiple times for help and he implied we are out of luck knowing there was still availability for them to upgrade him due their mistake. Up until now we've have positive experiences with capital one however this one experience helped us realize that the company does not care and even though we are flying back from our wedding they refused to help us.
They used to be 10 star service! I let everyone know that I loved them. Now however they are garbage! I was with them for many years they were on point ie awesome. Last year they died in my eyes. I paid all my cards off and they decided to put me on the scammer list. Right before Christmas. Yes I got a loan and paid everything off. Then they locked down my cards. I paid everything off then tried to buy a couple Christmas gifts for my kids. They labeled me a scammer then after the new year over 45 days later After I provided proof that I was who I was they still didn't believe the evidence I dropped them and went to discover.havent been happier.
I have been a Capital One customer for many years and have enjoyed great rewards and pretty good service. The customer service experiences have been positive as a whole. Have never had any problems with reporting fraudulent charges and with charge backs. Sometimes it takes a little big longer than I would expect to report some problems and to clear up automatic blocking of my card for unusual activity.
Biggest complaint I have with the credit card online system (and the reason I cannot rate this website as "Heart") is that I cannot schedule automatic monthly payment to pay on the due date and for the total amount. (I can only schedule for a set date each month for a set amount which seems really stupid to me. With American Express and Chase credit cards, I am able to schedule full or minimum payment on the due date each month automatically.)
I don't understand why CapitalOne chooses a wrong time to report my balance. They do it well after the due date and they take into account any most recent transaction. So, they end up reporting either a 0.00 balance (which is seen as lack of revolving balance) or with a current balance (which is then interpreted as a debt) by credit agencies! Disgraceful!
Answer: No really I can't I mean from the very beginning they said they mailed it and then a week later when I called and they had not mailed it yet when I checked my bank they take the money out of my bank and then tell me they're going to hold the money for 7 days to make sure the money is there I think they take the customers for granted in a big bad way
