Not sure Carchex will post this review as I totally do not Trust them. After calling several Warranty companies we decided to go with Carchex as they talked a good game. We have never been so disappointed in our lives... after first three claims were rejected we put the money out ourselves. Then the engine on our 2011 Malibu blew. We took the plan that was said to cover repairs such as this. Car chex denied our claim. We called to speak with some one and was not only transferred several time but put on hold for over an hour.it was only when we complained to the Better that a manager contacted us and said he would look into this matter and get back to us... one week later we are still waiting. Please be vigilant and look into other companies. Carchex will cost you money and their customer service is the worst we have ever experienced... would not recommend this company... even to y enemies. No one deserves this type of treatment!
I purchased extended warranty through Carchex. Come to find out they are crooks. My trucks check engine light came on and I took it to the dealer. The dealer said turbo was bad and need a new one. I called my warranty company Carchex and what an experience. The truck sat in the shop for three weeks waiting on an adjuster to come out to verify the turbo was bad. 3 different adjustes came to look and all said different things. Long story short Carchex did not pay or fix anything. I lost so much money and time. If I just paid out of pocket I could have been back on the road the next day. Now 3 weeks has gone and missed several days of work. Had to pay for rental car. I am so pissed off and frustrated with Carchex. Please be careful with this company. They will Robb you. Shame on Carchex. Taking hard working individuals money. May GOD have mercy on you people.
So the outcome of the claims inspector's review was to deny any and all coverage because the cause, in his determination, was an uncovered part, the serpentine belt. So just how did he arrive at that conclusion instead of considering that the belt was first damaged by a covered part, like the compressor pulley seizing or binding? Also, when asked for a copy of the report to review for myself how that conclusion was made, I was told that the report is proprietary and unavailable to the customer. I could, however, submit such a request in writing, and, only if honored, would take up to 30 days to get it. I did have a pleasant conversation with a representative from CARCHEX, but he was not able to override the decision of the claims administrator, Assurant, in denying me the ability to receive a copy of the inspector's report. Funny, I thought Assurant works for CARCHEX, not the other way around!
You think the 1 and 2 star reviews with complaints are just grumpy people who are never satisfied? No, pay attention to the negative reviews because they are real, as is mine. CarChex claims inspectors take their dear sweet time to let the repair facility know what is and is not covered. And then they nickel and dime their approval. I'm in for my second major repair since having the policy for 3.5 years now. First was a brake caliper failure causing severe damaged to the rotor. Well, the caliper replacement was covered but not the rotor, because it says so in the coverage documents. But they make no exception when the damaged rotor is BECAUSE of the failed caliper! Now I am waiting 48 hours for the inspectors report to repair an A/C problem with "multiple failures." And according to customer service, it may take an additional 2-3 hours for the inspector's report to be complete and inform the dealership's service department. It is Friday of Labor Day weekend, do you think my vehicle will be completed before the end of the day? Probably not since the estimated labor time according to the mechanic is 8-9 hours. Plus, CarChex will not call you to inform you of the outcome and if they will approve a rental car. YOU have to continually call their "inbound only" customer service to get that information! If the inspector was a qualified mechanic, carrying with him a CarChex approved labor rate resource, he should be able to make the determination on sight, instead of taking pictures, going back to the office and reviewing the repair, with whom ever he reports to, in order to make what appears to me to be a simple decision.
The product is very comprehensive although it is more expensive than the others I looked into. My mechanic had the final say in which plan I went with and Carchex came out on top. Only downside would be the sales process. Once I made initial contact they were relentless in calling until we got the deal done. Overall I'm pleased with the experience.
I simply did a search of the most reliable auto warranties since my current warranty is about to expire. I found, after speaking with reps from three companies, that CarChex offered the best coverage at the last expensive cost. The rep I spoke with, Sara Newton, was very informative, polite, helpful, and professional. The choice was easy after three days of getting quotes.
If the duration of my coverage is as good as the process to obtain coverage, I believe that I will be more than pleased.
Bob Rush was the salesman on my call. Great customer service. I signed up based on the reviews I read. I have not had to use the product and hope it remains that way but I've think I have purchased some solid peace of mind.
Customer service has been very professional and courteous, they have answered my questions. Most important I wasn't placed on hold for a long period of time, in which I have found with other companies.
The agent I spoke to was Philo Gentles,hope I spelled his name right. He answered all questions in regards to giving me the best price on an extended warranty that I could easily afford. Still waiting on my packet,tho it should be here soon. Thanks again!

Dan as very accommodating to my schedule. We spoke on several occasions until I had time to decide on which plan. I have been happy with Carchex for the past 102K miles and will be a customer as long as they extend the mileage limits. Answer: Guaranteed there are many companies who Are less expensive. This company just takes your money. Once you pay 80 -90 percent. They become arrogant and don't care if you get upset and quit... They got a brunch of free money from you...
